Accessing the Identity Web Services

Hello,
We're trying to access the web services for OAM functions like: http://www.domain.com:port/identity/oblix/apps/
userservcenter/bin/userservcenter.cgi. We're having issues sending the username and password programmatically.
Does anyone know if you can change the Authentication scheme for the out of the box policy domain for /access so it's based on Client Certificate rather than Oracle Access and Identity Basic Over LDAP?
Thanks!

Found out you can change the Authentication scheme to whatever you want to protect the policy and identity manger policies.

    Hi,
I have a seibel web service which needs to be called from a SAP Webdynpro application. The URL is something like this.
    http://xxx.yyy.com:80/eai_enu/start.swe?SWEExtSource=SecureWebService&SWEExtCmd=Execute
I am using Adaptive Webservice model and without hardcoding this value i should be able to send the user name and password information to the webservice.
How i can achieve that. I am getting the error that,

Siebel team was asked us to send the user/password info through SOAP header.
<b>Is there any way to set thatbusername/password info in NWDS (Basically set the SOAP Header) and if it is OK only if we can set it in the Webservices security in the Visual Administrator.</b>

How did you change your web service as Anonymous?
I have a user id and pwd, i tried by appending end of the service and tried with basic authentication by passing uid and pwd. No luck.

Without going into any technical discussion about the code, my first question is what JDK version was used to create this which was imported into the form? Understand that Forms 10 runs on JDK 1.4.2, so if you used any newer JDK version, likely there will be problems.

  • How to consume the Abap web service in Java web-dynpro

    Hi Everyone,
I want to consume ABAP web service in java web dynpro.
so when i tried to create model in java web-dynpro, it gave me an error message saying "Invalid WSDL or WSDL not found".
i think this error message is because, to access the WSDL of abap web-service, we need username and password, but the dialog box in java web-dynpro is not programmed to take username and password from us and send it to the server to get the WSDL.
i came to this conclusion because i was able to successfully test my abap web-service in java portal. the java portal asked me the username and password to open the WSDL.
So, please help me to consume the abap web service in java web-dynpro.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Vikas

    Hi Vikas ,
while creating a model in web-dynpro try to use the "import web service model" option and if you are using local server choose the local server option so that you can get the available web services which are in server, select one among them and continue you process.I think this is the some what easy way .
If you want use the URL for wsdl better to once test the available service in server and copy that WSDL URL and paste over  WSDL textbox.
I think this is pretty help ful to you

  • Enable Web Service access for a Web service-enabled client

    Hi,
I want to access data in Oracle CRM On Demand from a Web services-enabled client. The "Oracle Web Services On Demand Guide" suggest the Web Services Access should be granted by Customer Care representative. By default, this access is enabled for the Administrator role for new companies. However my admin account can't access web services from a web enable client.
Can anyone please suggest me the setting/step that i need to enable Oracle On Demand Web service access from a Web services-enabled client?
Note: I am new to oracle on demand so my query can be a silly thing.
    Thanks & Regards

I was able to resolve this issue. Actually, i was trying with trial account that don't allow the OCOD web service integration.

  • List the deployed web services in one domain

Is there a way to list all of the deployed web services into WLS? I know that the
console parses the deployed web apps and search inside for a web-services.xml

    Hi,
pure from a coder instinct I think I would prefer them to be in separate projects for better reuse and clean separation. If I need project 1 to access aclass from Project 2, I can check the dependency check box in the project properties. Is there any business requirement that makes you think having all of these in a single project will help ?

Btw.: I agree that JDeveloper shouldn't constraint developers from doing what they want and if this is a limitation the feel free to file a bug

  • Book Module Error "Could not contact the Blurb Web Service"???

I have successfully used Lightroom in the past to upload a book with no problems. I'm currently running the most updated version of Lightroom v 5.6. I've just finished a new book and am getting the error message "Could not contact the Blurb Web Service. Check your internet connection." My internet connection is fine, my firewalls and anti-virus are turned off, I've restarted both Lightroom and my computer. Same problem.
My research has shown this is a very common problem, but all the forums I've found do not have answers on how to solve the problem. All the posts I've found about this problem are either unanswered or suggest things like turning off and turning back on "unchecking apply background globally" and other tips related to the background and text, or change the cover style back and forth, etc. None of these has worked for me.
I am ordering this book as a wedding album for a client and it is URGENT that I get the order uploaded within the next few days or I'm going to have to refund the clients' payment and lose the job, which would be extremely professionally embarrassing. I'm VERY frustrated and have very eager customers waiting. PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

I solved the Lightroom Book Module problem of "Could not contact Blurb Web Service. Please check your internet connection."
With the help of Adobe Lightroom's telephone tech support, a very patient man named Himanshu helped me discover what was causing this issue, after researching the issue and calling me back. Nice touch Adobe! It was pleasant to be able to do other things while Himashu researched and consulted with other techs to find my solution.
As very many other people have reported in user forums, the problem was not that I didn't have an Internet connection.
The problem was caused by my PC's Windows 8 User Account Settings, which somehow had Internet Settings that conflict with the upload to Blurb from Lightroom. The Adobe Lightroom tech support person helped me create a new user account, and I am able to successfully upload to Blurb from Lightroom under the new account. We created a quick test book to try and it worked just fine under the new user account.
Not sure how this solution would translate for a MAC user (I've read of people with Mac computers getting the same upload error) but I advise checking your User Account's Internet Settings, whatever type of computer you are using.
The only minor glitch I still have is that my new Windows user account can't access any of my photo files (or any other files) from my old user account, even when I gave the new user account administrator access. I have a very large internal hard drive, so my photos & catalog are stored internally. The Lightroom tech support advised me to contact Lenovo (my computer manufacturer) for help to transfer all my files from my original user account to the new one I just created. I will do that very soon.
Meanwhile, my temporary workaround was to export my Lightroom Catalog and the photos I needed for this book onto an external hard drive, so I could access them from the new user account. My wedding clients' book has been successfully uploaded to Blurb!
I'm sharing so others with this problem uploading from Lightroom to Blurb may also find this solution works for them, too.

  • How to access PL/SQL Web Services using java

New to Webservices. Created PL/SQL Web Service using JDeveloper. Vendor is not sure how to access it using java. Can anyone please help to point in the right direction or provide some sample ?

So if I'm correct you have already exposed a PL/SQL procedure or function as web service?
In that case you can generate a proxy (client) for the generated web service using JDeveloper. It will generate Java code which invokes the web service.
See the wizard in JDeveloper, it should be in the same category as the create PL/SQL web service wizard.

  • 12002 The Reporting Web Service is not working.

    Hi :)
I have WSUS on Windows Server 2012 std. with Internal Database. Today I've installed 7 updates from patch tuesday and after restart I've got
error 12002 The Reporting Web Service is not working
I can see now that updatet clients can not report their status anymore :(
    What's up ? Any suggestion ?
    Best regards
    Nenad

    Hi,
I would start by verifying that the /ReportingWebService resource is properly configured in IIS.
Correct configurations can be found in the WSUS Technical Reference Guide: IIS
Settings for WSUS 3.0 SP2 Web Services.
    Also,Under ReportingWebService
Made sure all were set to disabled except for Anonymous Authentication
    Anonymous Authentication Enabled
    ASP .NET Impersonation Disabled
    Basic Authentication Disabled
    Forms Authentication Disabled
    Windows Authentication Disabled

  • Is it possible to add a user using the RESTful Web Services SDK

Others have asked before about user management features in the RESTful Web Services SDK.  However I can find no answers or links which provide an answer to the question 'Is it possible to add a user using the BI 4.1 SP2 RESTful Web Services SDK'?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,

    Hi Steve
Unfortunately, not possible. The BI RESTful can only get "stuff" that is already there. I suppose this would fall under some sort of "Object Creation" API and that is not there. Yet. Rumors abound, but nothing firm. Just as a BTW.; the Business Intelligence platform RESTful Web Service Developer Guide 4.1 is here:

  • Connect to SharePoint web service using the XML / Web Service connector

    Hi experts,
I am currently trying to display my SharePoint list in Crystal Report. Therefore my plan is to use a SharePoint web service to get the data and paste them to the Crystal Report.
Is it possible to use the "XML and Web services" connector of the Crystal Reports database expert?
When I enter the web service URL, for instance:
    https://[url]/_vti_bin/lists.asmx?wsdl
and click next... I have to enter the web service credentials.
On the next page I have to enter Service, Port and Method.
Do I have to enter the service URL again here?
What If, there is no port? Can I leave that field empty?
I know the methods, but where can I add the mandatory parameters?
Thanks for any helps and comments!
    Sebastian

    Hi Ananth,
thank you, but this document does not help at all.
We are using Crystal Reports 2008 SP2.
We want to use the Web Service Connector.
What I need is more informationen about the Web service connect. For example - the connection in Microsoft InfoPath is much easier - there I don't have to enter a port and can choose the methods from a list.
Is it possible to use the Crystal web service connector for MS SharePoint Webservices?
Or must I use the Crystal SDK to carry out a connection?
    Best regards,
    Sebastian

  • Need help accessing the router web page.  I have been tol...

Need help accessing the router web page.  I have been told my router is acting like a switch and the IP address is not in the proper range.  I have tried reseting the router (hold for 30 sec and unplug for 5 mins).  Didn't work.
    thanks

What router are you using?  Almost all Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default local IP address, but there is at least one that uses 192.168.16.1 , namely the WTR54GS  (not the WRT54GS).
You need to try again to reset the router to factory defaults.
To reset your router to factory defaults, use the following procedure:
    1) Power down all computers, the router, and the modem, and unplug them from the wall.
    2) Disconnect all wires from the router.
    3) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
    4) Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release it, then let the router reset and reboot (2-3 minutes).
    5) Power down the router.
    6) Connect one computer by wire to port 1 on the router (NOT to the internet port).
    7) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
    8) Power up the computer (if the computer has a wireless card, make sure it is off).
    9) Try to ping the router. To do this, click the "Start" button > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. A black DOS box will appear. Enter the following: "ping 192.168.1.1" (no quotes), and hit the Enter key. You will see 3 or 4 lines that start either with "Reply from ... " or "Request timed out." If you see "Reply from ...", your computer has found your router.
    10) Open your browser and point it to 192.168.1.1. This will take you to your router's login page. Leave the user name blank (note: a few Linksys routers have a default user name of "admin" (with no quotes)), and in the password field, enter "admin" (with no quotes). This will take you to your router setup page. Note the version number of your firmware (usually listed near upper right corner of screen). Exit your browser.
If you get this far without problems, try the setup disk (or setup the router manually, if you prefer), and see if you can get your router setup and working.
If you cannot get "Reply from ..." in step 9 above, your router is dead.
If you get a reply in step 9, but cannot complete step 10, then either your router is dead or the firmware is corrupt. In this case, use the Linksys tftp.exe program to try to reload your router with the latest firmware. After reloading the firmware, repeat the above procedure starting with step 1.
If you need additional help, please state your ISP, the make and model of your modem, your router's firmware version, and the results of steps 9 and 10. Also, if you get any error messages, copy them exactly and report back.
Please let me know how things turn out for you.
