Accessing the taskbar in flash

hi,
I just want to ask if there's a way to access or display the windows taskbar in a flash projector file. I really need help in designing an interface for a coin-operated PC.

Flash does not support that. It could be that some
third-party projector tool might provide some interface, but I
honestly doubt it that there is an "out of the box" solution.

    I just recently upgraded to Firefox 8.0. In the previous version, when starting a download, the taskbar would flash as the download began. Since updating I've noticed that the taskbar now flashes orange when the file finishes downloading. While I understand that this may be useful for many, if not most, folks, I'd really prefer to change the timing so that the "alert" happens as a download begins. Is this something I can adjust, or is this behavior "hardwired" into FF 8?

    You mention changing some settings. What were they?
    You could try turning off integrated virus scanning. This assumes that you have real-time virus scanning of files added to the file system via McAfee or another product.

    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''scan''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click '''browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone''' to toggle its value.
    Besides the obvious -- that this setting points your AV software at the file -- it also marks the file as sourced from the web, which causes Windows to apply certain security restrictions to the file. If you find that this change resolves the issue, the file disappearance might have been due to your IE security settings for the Internet zone.

    Format the external drive as FAT32 or ExFAT. Both computers will then be able to read and write to it.

    Hi,
    Is there a way I can access the X-axis value from Flash Chart to populate a report in another page? My X-axis is not a direct column in the table it is computed in the query.
    X-axis is MON-YEAR computed from the Begin_Date column. I want to capture the MON-YEAR clicked by the user to populate a report for that Mon-Year.
    Here is my chart SQL.

    I fould a hack that makes the sites think you have the latest (Intel) version of Flash installed. So I installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari. Here's the info.
    Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

    and where would i put the remove.simpleScreen ( simpleScreen is the loader i would want to remove )
    would it be on the external swf on frame 1 where the slideshow plays?
    or in the main timeline's category's frame?
    the problem ( that i see ) is that both loaders are on the same frame ( different layers tho )
    so if i put a the remove simplescreen there it wont show me the pictures when i click the thumbs
    or could i make it so that it removes it BECAUSE its playing on frame 1 ?

    As this problem，If we program use the Flex，the problem that the Right Click Menu can not be pop up must occur.
    eg:
    IF there is many lines when we use the ListController ,the data nears the taskbar can not be used the Right Click Menu。
    Relation:
    The problem does not happen when the environment is below
    1、IE10(Win7/64bit)

  • When I try to access something with Adobe Flash, I have to click on the "f" which turns into a "play" button. I do not need to do this step in Safari. Help.

    Is there something blocking Adobe Flash which causes me to have to hit the play button every time I want to access a page using Flash?

    you can just go into the firefox addons manager and disable it or remove it there in case you no longer need it: [[Disable or remove Add-ons]]

    Here's how to duplicate this if you like:
    1.  Open Power Manager.  On the Options tab, choose "Small" for "Power Manager Gauge menu size".
    2.  Right-click on the taskbar, select "Toolbars", and disable the Access Connections toolbar.  Then configure the system tray icon for Access Connections to always display.
    I use the Windows Classic look and feel, but it should still work no matter what you use.

    Hi Chris,
    You cannot access the methods of the Flash 8 movie from Flex.
    And you can't do it the other way around either.
    The only way to communicate is to create a LocalConnection on
    each side.

    As titled, what is the way to record video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http?
    What I am trying to do, is to record a user's microphone's input and save it to the server. Afterwards, I would like other users to be able to access the recorded files and mainuplating the audio data, by computeSpectrum(), to do some visualization of the audio. As I know computeSpectrum() cannot work on streaming files, so I think I need to access the recorded files using http instead of rmtp. Is that true?
    How can I redirect the http request to the files I was recorded into my applications/appName folder? Or I need to somehow moved the recorded files to the /webroot folder?

    I probably have asked a stupid question.
    My recorded streams are still saved in the applications/appName/streams folder.
    And I redirect the www.mydomain.com/streams to point to the applications/appName/streams folder.
    And the rmtp recorded streams are abled to connect through http now.

  • Accessing the photoshop api from flash.. within a photoshop window?

    I should maybe ask this in scripting.. but it's some ways related to the SDK. I dont want to crosspost.. if the feature exist, it's very likely that SDK developpers are aware of this (ps: i havent downloaded the sdk since the beta)
    I had the opportunity to show a bit our project to Mike Downey from Adobe at FITC/Toronto as it's related in some way to Apollo. We use realbasic for this application (flash/html/css/javascript) and we also use Realbasic, even with all the imperfections the software has, to create visual tools to call some Applescript.
    That's how i implemented the fake palette i mentionned here or in scripting forum. To me, there was a huge benefit compared to implementing a dialog with the SDK (wich doesnt support developping a palette anyway).
    What i would be really happy to see is an integration like it has been done with jsfl in flash (extensibility). Kind of a way for us to really have a common language for intranet, production tools and final release (web or cd). (leverage the skills like Adobe say to sell Apollo)
    So in extensibility in case some of you are not aware of the feature, you can create a window that has a flash content in it and there is a mecanism to call the javascript api of flash (authoring environnement). By exemple, you can have a window in flash authoring environnement that behave like other windows (ie. dockable and all)... that has a flash interface and communicated with a database.. so you can have a script that connect to a database and then create shapes in the authoring environnement... It's a very great tool for integrated production environnement..
    So, Mike Downey mentionned to me that i was present in CS3!? (when i told him that i would have been great to have Apollo/Flash being able to access the Photoshop Api) Is it true? Where is it documented? I remember seing it mentioned in the SDK survey... Or maybe it's just possible to do it via external command..so it's not integrated in a window of photoshop)?
    Sorry if it's not clear... but i would be really happy to hear more about that... It would be great to have this even if it's not Applescript compatible (i could use xml tools in the api of flash)...

    Well.. i finally have found the feature in the sample folder of javascript scripting of cs3. You really can have a flash interface to call you scripts.
    That will be a HUGE improvement for javascript scripter and i would not be surprised that it will encourage people to develop more tools.
    The big minus for me, unless it's something i havent found yet, it looks like the dialog is only available from calling the script.. so the dialog is modal... really not as cool as Flash extensibility integration, but that's a start. :(
    I repost this on Scripting forum as i now know it's related to scripting...
    I still have hope for something more advanced... the "KnowHow" thing (wich i havent tried yet) http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/knowhow/) is really a good exemple of palette/feature integration that i wish was possible in photoshop...

  • Access the android device webcam through adobe flash

    I'm trying to access the webcam from a flash application on my android  2.3.3 but I cannot do it, It seems like the flash player doesn't has  access to the hardware device.
    If I try from some websites that provides simple demo for face detection, I get the error that the webcam cannot be found...
    any idea?

    As far as I'm aware, this will not be available in the next release of Flash Player (11) due in the next few weeks.  I'd recommend opening a new feature request for it over at bugbase.adobe.com.  I know we have this on our radar, but getting votes for a bug or feature request really helps to make a point.
