Accessing Thunderbird help, Firefox gives the message "Unable to connected to datebase! Too many connectors."

When I access Thunderbird Help, Firefox give the following message: "Unable to connect to database! Too many connectors." Other Thunderbird Help selections work OK.

Sorry, the Mozilla Messaging forum isn't associated with this Firefox support forum. Sounds like that forum is very busy or is having server problems. All I can say is to try it later when it may not as busy, or a server problem is corrected.
Or you could try the Thunderbird support forum over here. <br />

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set
to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
    Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
    * Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version)
    * Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back. For detailed instructions, see

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies).  Discontinued items not available. • Receive the message "unable to connect to itunes store" when trying to install updates for my apps

trying to install updates available for a number of app on my phon and keep getting the same message "unable to connect to itunes store"............

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • I can't access hotmail or gmail. I get the message "unable to connect to the server". However I can access both msn and google main page and not problems with other sites. Any ideas of what to do?

Cannot access hotmail or gmail, although no problems with the actual msn home page or other sites. I get the message: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at .....
== URL of affected sites ==
    http://login.live.com; http://www.google.com

    Hi thanks for reply.
No, not that I'm aware. How/Where can I check this?
The only think I've done recently is install a different antivirus program and uninstall the old one which had expired. Not sure if this is linked to the problem...?

  • Keep seeing the message, "Unable to connect to Apple TV." -- help?

I keep seeing this in the upper-right part of the screen:
Unfortunately, there's no message in the notification center, and there's no (apparent) message in Console. I literally have no idea why I keep seeing the message, and it's quite annoying.
Currently using a MBPr via. 802.11ac TimeCapsule. The Apple TV3 I have connects wirelessly to a last-gen Airport Extreme (and that's connected to the Time Capsule via. extended wireless). Signal strength is excellent for all devices.
    Any ideas?

Open AirPort Utility (in your Applications > Utilities folder).  Click on each device shown there (e.g., Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme).  Make sure they are running the latest firmware.  They will warn you if they are not once you click on them.

  • Netflix- works fine until I select "play" for an item. Then the message "unable to connect" 104 appears. This is puzzeling as Apple TV is already connected and working fine up to this step.

Things were woking fine, then for no reason the connection to Netflix got crazy.  Netflix appears on screen and performs everything as though it is connected to Netflix.  The menu options display and I am allowed to select a movie to play. Once I enter the play window frame I press the play command on the remote and get a "unable to connect with Netflix" message 104. Tried contacting Netflix but that is impossible too.  Any suggestions?

I am getting the same problem since the last upgrade.  Both Netflix and Apple blame the other, no one wants to help...  Apples best solution so far is to replace the apple tv box....

  • Why do I keep getting the message "Unable to connect to Imap server you may have exceeded the maximum number of connections to this server.

I already tried reducing the maximum number of connections to 1, but I'm still receiving the message. Is there anything else I can do?
My computer is a Mac mini running OSX 10.9.5. Firefox is version 34.0.5.

Ok, IMAP server almost universally allow multiple connections. Thunderbird as you would have observed uses 5 if they are available. As Airmail suggested, iphones just use more and more until they exhaust the available connections. There is no set maximum option.
However there are other things that can consume connections and some may surprise you.
Anti spam tools such as mail washer
Anti virus programs in their anti spam or anti phishing roles
    Web mail.
The wife sharing the same account on her laptop.
That is from the top of my head. So could any of those apply.

  • Since Nov 14 I haven't been able to access iBooks. I get the message "unable to download application. iBooks cannot be downloaded at this time "

Since Nov 14 I havent been able to access iBooks. I get a window saying "unable to download application. iBooks cannot be downloaded at this time" . I have powered off and on countless times but it just won't open. Any suggestions please?

Demo, I tried this but I still get the same message.
When I look at the iBooks app on the iPad screen the slider at the bottom is permanently visible as if it is about to download. When I tap the app to start downloading "waiting" appears underneath for about one second then it disappears and the above message window pops up.
So for the last month I have not been able to read any of the 3 books I recently downloaded. I haven't been able to do much about it as I have been travelling from the UK to Asia (the long way) so Apple stores haven't been on my route. I had hoped to read the books while travelling on various flights but it's been very frustrating not being able to do so.
Thanks for your suggestion. Do you think it could have something to do with my iPad being an older version - MB294B (5.1.1 9B206)? Maybe it's telling me I need to buy a new one.
PS. Exactly the same thing is happening with another of my apps. It is for an online store in the UK which I won't be using again for some time so I'm not too bothered about that one.

  • Hi there, suddenly I can't send email from my iphone. I use mac mail, have deleted it, restored it, done a sync to my mac book, read endless help paged and still get the message *unable to connect to smtp.me.mail . Some one please help!!!

Does anyone know why my mac/me mail would suddenly stop sending mail? Happend a few weeks back since the software update and now won't send a thing. LIke I said I deleted the acount, set it up again, did a sync to my mac book, checked settings again and still it wont send mail. Received fine.
I've looked through the threads but cant find one for me/mac mail on the iphone with same problem

I spoke with Apple Support this morning and they believe anything MobileMe related is due to the conversion over to iCloud that's taking place.
As for other email clients, check with your host to see if settings have changed on their end. I use inmotionhosting.com and over the weekend the updated their outgoing requirements so that a password authentication is now needed.
Hope that helps get some on the right path to resolving their issues!

  • I am trying to update iOS 5.01 to 5.1 and I get the message "unable to connect to server" but I am connected to Internet.

    How do I connect?

I haven't updated yet. Apple's download servers have been overloaded with millions of users trying to update.
Here's a description of the update. Not a lot of changes for iPad 1/2.

You can wait a while & update at your convenience, or try early AM or late PM.

  • Error message - could not connect to aim - too many attempts to login

Today when I tried to iChat, I got a message I haven't seen before. The error message reads "You have attempted to lgin too often in a short period of time. Wait a few minutes before trying to login again." I did notice my window continuing to try and login -- not sure why it wouldn't. I did install a new router yesterday and my internet works fine. Would this have some impact on iChat? Or are there certain settings I might need to change?

    Hi,
If you are on 10.6.x did the port change stick ?
SSL tends to have to be On and the Enter key needs to be used to "Set" the port.
On the Netgear access the WNA set up page.
Turn Off the Port scan and DOS (Or SPI) and Disable the Ping Blocking.
    (Apply/Save Settings)
