Accessing to tasks belonging to my group when i wasnu00B4t part of it.

HI Experts,
i have a situation: There is a GP process running in my company, a group of people has to approve (approveres group) some tasks created by other people.
My company realized that they needed to add more people in the approver group because there were a lot of tasks for approving and not enough approvers.
So i was recently assigned to the approvers group, but i can´t see the old tasks that were pending for the approvers group, i can only see the new tasks assigned to the approvers group.
Is there i way i can access to the old tasks assigned to my group (when i wasn´t part of the group)?

The XXXX in role is not used as a wild card. the name itself is in that format. I have searched the role and then selected from search list.

I started on the installation CD OS X 10.4.2, I used Disk Utility
to partition the disk according to the document that you have proposed. unfortunately
I have not succeeded. When I partition the disk, even if I called it Macintosh HD, it
does not keep the name and it shows disk0s3 instead. I did an erase on disk.
When I mount the disk it tells me that I must repair. When I tried to repair, I got
the following message:
Volume check failed
The underflying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
1 volume could not be repaired because of an error.
I also had a message:
Invalid b-tree node size.
Note: The disc is new, but it has already been formatted on a computer Imac 27 inch 2011 OS X Lion.
I used a USB 2.0 to SATA cable to adjust the formatting.
What to do to fix it?

"Domain Users" group in Active Directory does not belong to any Group Membership in LC

Active Directory user belonging to "Domain Users" group does not belong to any Group Membership in LC, why does it not belong to "Domain Users" group?
Any way to correct this issue, without changing group membership on AD side?
If Active Directory user is member of "Domain Admins" or "Users" then these show same group membership in LC.

If you want to use the Domain Users group for the purpose of representing all the users then you can use the "All principals in domain xxx" group which is created by UM.
Coming back to Domain Users group. For determining group membership in AD UM uses "member" attribute of the group object. "Domain Users" group is treated differently by AD. It is the default primary group for all the users and normally members of the primary group are not specified using the member attribute.So when we sync the data from AD "Domain Users" membership does not get completed.

Users belonging to a group

Hello,
I want to make a (daily) job in which i send an email to application express users belonging to a certain group.
Where in the database can i find the groups a user belongs to ?
The users are in the APEX_WORKSPACE_APEX_USERS view, but where are the groups.
When i run the following procedure on a sql*plus client on my machine, it doesn't give the groups; when i run this command from apex (sql workshop), it does ? What can be the reason for that ?

APEX_UTIL.GET_GROUPS_USER_BELONGS_TO requires the workspace ID global package variable to be set, which is not the case in SQL*Plus, unless you set it.
Try connecting as a schema that is mapped to the workspace you're interested in and do this:
begin
wwv_flow_api.set_security_group_id;
end;
If the schema is mapped to more than one workspace, you need to do it like this:
begin
wwv_flow_api.set_security_group_id(99999999999999999);
end;
...replacing all those nines with the result of this query in SQL Workshop (connected in the appropriate workspace):
select v('WORKSPACE_ID') from dual;
Then try the query.
You should be able to do that in your job as well.

If a user belongs to multiple workgroups, Podcast capture should ask him in wich blog he wants to publish its sequence... but it doesn't seem to work.
So my question is : how to deal with that ?

I know only 2 ways to add some dynamic: posting to user's blog, which supposes to consider that there is only one user who is able to post, otherwise to duplicate workflows and change the target group in it ($$Group Short Name$$ replaced by custom properties or if posted through webUI defined by new field, but it's reliability depends of the human factor..).
In addition, i may ask you what do you mean by "it doesn't seem to work"..? Is Pc Capture supposed to work this way and ask at any moment to which group's blog the podcast needs to be sent when a user belongs to multiple groups ? That would be a terrific news, but i guess they would have announced it..

I'm an experiencing an issue when configuring 2012 R2 DirectAccess multisite.
The initial configuration of the first site in a multisite setup works fine, however when i try to add ANY other server on another site, i see the below screenshot, the full text of which is: "The remote access configuration task (raconfigtask) in Windows
Task Scheduler cannot be disabled" while the entry point is added.
THere are no logged events on the remote server, but on the controlling server i see this in the event log:

AD Search plus access to task sequence variables via powershell.

Hi,
I would like to an Active Directory search in a SCCM task sequence.
Now there are two ways I can do this run the powershell script
as a domain user - in the task sequence step.
Or do something fancy in the script itself so the task sequence step
runs as system then does a kind of connect as to do the AD search.
The reason I am asking this is I want to know if the task sequence
variables are available of I run the powershell script as user
account from the task sequence UI.
Or can I only get at them if I am running them as the system context.

First, answer to your question: if you run an action as a different user in a task sequence (which can only be done after you leave WinPE), you lose the ability to read the task sequence variables. You'll get empty strings for every variable you query.
Now there are several ways of getting this accomplished and it all depends on what stage of the task sequence you want to invoke something like this/what you want to do in AD.
If just want to query AD then, by default, you don't need any special rights as any domain user can do it.
If you want to modify something in AD then you need to be a bit more creative.
1. If you want to run this script after the computer has joined the domain, you don't need to mess around with permissions, as any network actions will be run using the computer object on the network. As far as AD is concerned it will use ComputerName$
account. Though obviously you'll only have read rights.
2. Use the network access account credentials, the username/password for the account are saved onto task sequence variables so you can easily read it. The script itself would still run under the system context, but when you establish a connection
to AD you pass the username/password of the user to connect as. Again, you'd only have read rights.
3. If you want to modify something in AD and the task sequence has already left WinPE, then you can use the 'run as a different user' option in the 'run command' action in the SCCM task sequence. This will force the whole script to run under the context
of the user you specified, which obviously gives you whatever rights you want, including ability to modify something in AD, but you completely lose access to task sequence variables. If you try to query any of them you just get an empty string. A way around
this is to make the variables you know you will need as part of your script in parameters. So for example you call your script as: MyScript.ps1 -MP %_SMSTSMP% to pass the variable _SMSTSMP to your script as a parameter. You can only specify 'run as a different
user' if the task sequence is not in WinPE though.
4. You could use a slight variation of option 2 if you need to modify AD. Instead of using the NAA account use the username/password of an account you specify. The action still runs under system context, but the connection to AD runs with the account
you specify. As a result, this also works in WinPE, and you have no problems accessing task sequence variables. The only problem with this one though... is how to safely pass the credentials over, and that's a big tricky problem.
As you can see, there's several ways of getting things done, but they all have caveats :)

Don't belong to a Group & get "No VPN shared secret was provided"

I have an RSA SecurID hardware token & can connect to my company's Cisco IPsec VPN using the Cisco VPN client on my laptop.
I'd like to connect to the company VPN via my iPhone 3G 3.0 so I created a VPN account on my iPhone.
According to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1288 ("iPhone and iPod touch: Supported protocols for VPN"), the details in the VPN configuration on my laptop should also work on my iPhone.
I've therefore filled in the Description, Server IP address & Account fields & left the Password field blank so I'll be prompted for my PIN number & the number on the SecurID token.
We only use RSA SecurID hardware tokens so "Use Certificate" is off.
I do not belong to a group - I verified this by checking my Group Memberships in RSA Authentication Manager - so the Group Name & Secret fields in the iPhone VPN client configuration screen are both left blank.
When I then turn on the VPN, I get "No VPN shared secret was provided." which is not surprising as I don't belong to a group so I don't have a group secret to share.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Java portlet customization depending user belongs an OID group

I have developped a Java portlet with a customization display, depending user belongs a specific OID group or not.
I used a preparedStatement to call the wwsec_api.is_user_in_group PL/SQL procedure.
My problem is that it seems that OID does not close connections as our portal falls after 2 or 3 days when I install this portlet in production.
Therefore I wonder if there is a bug in the API wwsec_api.is_user_in_group (if it close OID connection after returning the boolean result).
Is there a more efficient way in a Java portlet to check if a user belongs an OID group ?
Is there a bug in wwsec_api.is_user_in_group ?

I assume these are POP accounts and all computers are set to remove from Server after downloading.
So on the non dominant ones... Mail Preferences>Accounts, highlight an account, Advanced tab, uncheck remove from Server, just have the main dominant one remove from server.
Or get/setup IMAP accounts.

Restore from the backup you had prior to installing Mavericks.
However, the upgrade should not have altered your partition scheme. Did your erase and format the drive prior to upgrading?

If you're comfortable resetting all settings, unplug it, hold down the reset button and keep holding it in as you plug it back in - keep holding it for another 10-20s until the amber light flashes
Then, open airport utility, now you should be able to see the device either on-screen or in the upper left under 'other wi-fi devices'
