Accessing xml forms for anonymous user

Hi all,
Is it possible in any way to use the "news" made with XML-Forms on an External Facing Portal?
I have created one page in XML form builder and assigned that page for anonymous user. Initially that page is visible to anonymous user. If i click any rendered list item it's asking Authentication-Information. Isn't it possible to let them read the News without authentification?
i have set all permissionsm for anonymous users?
How can i solve that problem.

Hi,
this is possible. Please have a look at note 837898 first. But this note doesn't solve it completly.
By default the xmlformpreview-servlet which is used to display the news is not accessible for anonymous users. Try this:
- Create an iview in the pcd (any locaation) from par com.sap.km.cm.par and component xmlformpreview
- set the authentication scheme to anonymous
- give anonymous users permissions in the permission configuration of the iView
- open the iView in Preview Mode and copy the url of the iview from /irj on (something like /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fxmlformpreview)
- Go to System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Content Mangagement --> Global Services (switch to advanced mode here) --> URL Generator service: set the iView-URL as the value of the "Preview Servlet" --> save
- test it

According to your description, my understanding is that you want anonymous user access RSS feed link without asking for credentials.
I suggest you can check if you have deactived the “Limited-access user permission lockdown mode” feature in the site settings-> site collection features
In my environment ,after disabling the feature, then the rss feed link will be accessed without credentials for anonymous users in Chrome.

Login Page coming for Anonymous User

Hi All,
we have configured anonymous user for our portal. Created a role for anonymous access - added pages and iViews under that. All the iViews and pages are modified with authentication scheme property to Anonymous.
Now when we access the portal with the url http://host:port/irj its showing the login box in the top part of the page and in the bottom part its showing the anonymous role which we created.
Let me tell you what we have done...
Created role, iViews for Anonymous role, set the authentication property to 'Anonymous'.
In Visual Admin-> Server-> Services-> UME Provider set the variable ume.login.anonymous_user.mode to 1.
Variable ume.login.basicauthentication to 1.
Variable ume.login.guest_user.uniqueids to Guest.
Then we have updated the index.html file under <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\j2ee\cluster\serverX\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root .. we changed
<b><body onload="location.replace('portal' + document.location.search)"></body></b>
to <b><body onload="location.replace('servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.anonymous' + document.location.search)"></body></b>
But now when a guest user accesses the portal http://host:port/irj it gived the strange screen (logon + content page) as I described earlier.
Please let us know where are we missing...

1 . I have created a iView and set the authentication scheme anonymous.
2. Also I created a role and added the iview to a role.
3. The role has only 1 iview. The entry pt is yes for the iview
4. The role has permissions of end user for anonymous user.
5 I checked the masthead iview also.. It aslo has authentication scheme anonymous
When I try accessing the iView in the form <http/https>://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fmyfolder!2fmyiView
I am able to view it without any login..
But when the url is accessed <http/https>://<server>:<port>/irj/portal/anonymous
I see a login page in the Detailed navigation..
Please help me solve this problem ..

Grant read permission on List for Anonymous user for public facing site in Sharepoint 2013 Online

I have a public facing SP site ( SP online 2013 with Office 365 ). There are certain app parts added to it which read data from a
custom list created on that site. By default anonymous users do not have read permissions list. I want users to see the list data without login in . I tried modifying the settings for anonymous users , however I am unable to do it as the "anonymous user"
permissions cannot be checked by me.
How do I provide read permissions to anonymous users?

once you make the web site online anonymous users get the read access to list.
You can add the list view webpart and show the details to anonymous users. In the below link i have added the announcement list view webpart to a page.

WPC content for anonymous user

Dear SDNites
We have recently started a project in which we are using Web Page Composer(WPC) for web content development. We have configured the WPC content for anonymous users. After the configurations, anonymous users could access this content without entering any user id and password. But after the restart of the portal, it started prompting login screens even for the anonymous users.We have checked all the required configurations and these seem fine to me. Can you please help me on how to resolve this issue?

WPC for Anonymous user

Dear All,
We are on SAP NW 7.3 and trying to provide the WPC page for anonymous users.
Have designed the WPC content, connected to a role and gave the role to anonymous user, but when we go to portal
http://<host>:<port>/irj/portal/anonymous it gives a logon page. To resolve the issue have gone thru all the posts and recommendations but still the same error.
Tried to follow the blog 'Webpage composer Anonymous User access' but in NW 7.3 can find the PCD location 'WebpageComposer', - but in templates we have the WPC Templates and have given the required permissions
Also the security zones are changed.
Has it something to do with the 'Staging Area' folder (Navigating through the role Accesible Area Management -> content Editor), because when we create any new Area/Page(WPC Area/Page) it creates the same in this folder, which is present as a KM Folder. This folder does not allow to set the permissions (Accesible Area Management -> Content Library -> Staging Area -> Details -> Permissions)
Your valuable suggestions would really help me to resolve this issue.

Got the reply from SAP to perform the below steps and its working fine for us.. just in case any one of you needs this info.
1. Add the "authentication scheme" property to the WPC design time page template: a. Go to "System Administration" ' "Content Model Management" ' "Property Classification" b. Under "Object Type" select "Page" c. Under "Template" select "WPC Design Time Page" d. Under "Available Properties" locate "Authentication Scheme" and add it to the "Selected Properties" 2. Go to the Area Management Role and locate the area and the page that you would like to be available to anonymous users 3. Set End User permissions for "Anonymous" group on the area 4. Publish the page(s) and the area 5. Navigate to "Content Administration". Make sure the "Area Management"role isn't open in some other tab or browser window 6. In the Portal Content Catalog, locate the role which is available to anonymous users and has the WPC area connected to it. 7. Open the role, open the connection 8. For each page under the workset (area): a. Open the page b. For each iview and page under the page, open the iview/page and navigate to its properties: i. Locate the "Authentication Scheme" property and change it to "anonymous" ii. Save the object iii. For pages, open the page and perform the same process for each iview under the page iv. Save

Remove Context Menu for KM Content for Anonymous User

I have implemented External Facing Portal and i have to show KM documents
on Anonymous user home page. For This I have created JSP page and have
created url iview for this created JSP application. On this JSP page to access
KM i have used below code

Now i am able to see the KM Contents of Public Documents on my Anonymous
user Home Page .But here i need to remove the context menu for KM Content
for Anonymous User , but the context menu should come for Logged in user.
How to do this ??

You can create a search center site, and set the search center site to
allow anonymous access.

Disable rating service for anonymous user

Hi,
I'm trying to set permissions for anonymous users so they couldn't do anything else except displaying the documents in KM I want to disable their access to other services allowed for other users (e.g.. Subscription, Feedback, Discussion, Rating etc.).
What I made so far: I've set permissions and service permissions to the Folders, created role with added Authentificated Users group and I added this role to property Roles with visibility in System administration/System configuration/Knowledge management/Content management/User interface/Commands/UI commands. This way, I set command permissions for every command I thought the anonymous user could see.
Almost everything worked fine, i.e. anonymous user has disabled almost every unnecessary option, but he can still see Rating option in the context menu next to the file/folder. I set the permission to Rating UI command, but it didn't work.
Can anyone suggest what else could be done so the anonymous user won't be able to rate documents?

I have functional anonymous login and anonymous user can only display documents, search them and RATE them. But I can't figure out how to disable the rating service just for anonymous user, not other users.
That note won't help me with that.

Welcomepage for anonymous user with KM elements

maybe somebody can help us.
We want to use a separate Welcomepage for anonymous user.
Inside the element "welcomepage" (it is a page in pcd) we use a KM iview.
The KM iview is link to a html-file in the KM directory. The html-file is designed with the standard portal html editor and contains text an some pictures. The pictures are also elements (gif-files) in the same folder like the html-file.
The used KM iview has the property "auth.scheme = anonymous". That we have change.
The problem ist, that when the anonymous start the weblink (https://domian.com:port/irj/portal/anonymous) he get a popup window to login with usernam and password. We try it with the km iview without pictures, than everything is ok an no username an password is required.
But when we use the pictures inside the KM-document we have the problem with the authorization popup.
The used KM iview has the property "auth.scheme = anonymous". That we have change.
Have somedody a idea?

You need to read SAP Note 837898.
Specifically for your issue, the following may resolve it:
u2022     Go to Content Administration > Portal Content > Portal Users > Standard Portal Users >Standard User Role > Open >Object
Navigate to Home(the tooltip should state u2018Knowledge Management Homeu2019)>Hidden>URL Access
u2022     Open the iView named KM Document iView
u2022      Change the property "Authentication Scheme" to anonymous and save changes.

I have one more qn for you.
Normally, when an iView set to anonymous users is opened(with the full pcd path), it opens up in a page directly without the role being displayed. (Like wat happens in the preview of an iView)
But when the quick link is used, it drills down the role and shows the iView. Is there any way to avoid the role being shown in this case?

The next level manager is unable to view or access appraisal forms for all

I am facing an issue where in the next level manager is not able to see the appraisal docs of employees.
Follwing is the link that we found on SDN related to the same issue-
Next higher level manager should see the appraisal docs of the employees
During the PM testing, an issue was discovered with the existing logic of the Default Next Level Manager BADI.
When a manager manually reports to a NL managers organization unit, the next level manager is unable to view or access appraisal forms for all the employees who report to the manager.
For example,
NL Manager/Cheif: Susan
Manager/Chief: John
Employees: Mary and Matt
If Johns position (manager/chief) has a A 999 Reports to dotted line relationship to Susans organization unit (NL Manager), then Susan is unable to access, approve or reject the appraisal forms for Mary and Matt (Johns direct reports).
The relationship type is A 999 Reports to dotted line
Type of related object O (Organizational Unit)
We need to update the BADI in order for the next level manager to be able to access appraisal forms as described in the example above.
BADI implementation Name : Z_HRHAP00_DOC_DEF_DO
Method - IF_EX_HRHAP00_DOC_DEF_DO~DEFAULT_OTHERS
Now we are facing the following issue-
After identification of the employees who report to the managers organizational unit using the A 003 Belongs to relationship we are not sure how to pass these employees information from BADI to appraisal form, so that the previously identified Next Level Manager will be able to access, accept and reject appraisal forms for these employees.
For further details please refer the thread. I was not able to understand how this can be achieved.
Can anyone please mention in brief how I should be able to do this. I am new to this and I would appreciate any help .

There are no Function Modules to my knowledge. Pls try the transaction S_AHR_61016530 which would display the User's approvers as per hierarchy. This would bring datas from the HR tables. If this helps pls award points.

Is there a way to create a web form for a user to take himself off paid membership subscription?

I know there is a way to add a user to a paid membership subcription using the web form. There is a video on BCGuru that shows how to do it. Is there also a way to use web form for the user to terminate his paid membership? Or does it always have to be done manually by the Admin?

User profile is created when a request is processed by the ProfileRequestServlet in the ATG servlet pipeline and is made available as session scoped Profile object for each user. Profile object has a dataSource property which points to the underlying RepositoryItem. For anonymous user, the underlying RepositoryItem created through ProfileRequestServlet remains transient by default. Therefore you won't find the item in the repository or database with that transient repository item's id. You can change this default behavior if you want by changing the persistentAnonymousProfiles property of the ProfileRequestServlet component to true which will create a new profile in the database for each anonymous visitor.
