Accidentally "bought" an album while learning about my phone. HELP!

My daughter bought an iPhone 5c for me. I am not stupid for a living, but pretty close when it comes to this phone. I was poking around, trying to learn things by myself, when suddenly a "Purchases Today" (something like that) message came up. Somehow I had "purchased" eleven songs by the Ramones. Gee whiz; bad enough I bought something I didn't want and didn't mean to buy, but worse because The Ramones would be one of my last choices if I did want to buy music. (I'm a Beatles and The Eagles kind of person.) I called the Tech Support person who put me on hold for almost 45 mins. to no avail. She finally gave me the Apple phone number; yes, they were closed. I am worried sick. Why isn't there a "DELETE" button or an "Are you sure you want to purchase this?" button before you sign your budget away? I remember seeing an advertisement for "The Ramones" but I sure as heck didn't press, poke, or push on it. I am completely and totally whacked out. I'll never be able to sleep tonight. Has anyone else ever done something even remotely as stupid as this? I put my phone away and am afraid to even make a call. Hhheeeellllppp!

Hi Irefusetosink!
Here is an article that can help you re-download these purchases:

    Apple's policy on sales of digital content is that all sales are final. If however you wish to appeal to Apple, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.
    Currently, if your purchase happens to be your most recent purchase you will not be redirected to the report form, in this case use the report a problem option from the invoice that was emailed to you.

  • Accidentally bought an Album

    Hello everybody,
    I just accidentally bought an Album I didn't want. I wanted to listen to the sample and bought it..
    For the support team: It was "With us until you're dead" from Archive.
    Is there any possibility to refund my money for this album? It's the first time something like this happened to me.
    Thanks in advance.

    These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
    All purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Question while Learning about Thread

    I am learning about thread.
    I ran the sample producer/consumer programe in Java Thread Tutorial in which I added two lines of printing out codes in class CubbyHole to observe the runing sequence better.
    The result made me a bit confused. I imagine that the result "Producer #1 put: 1" should be printed out right after "put 1", why it appeared after "get 1" and "Consumer #1 got: 1"?
    Codes are listed below:
    public class ProducerConsumerTest {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    CubbyHole c = new CubbyHole();
    Producer p1 = new Producer(c, 1);
    Consumer c1 = new Consumer(c, 1);
    p1.start();
    c1.start();
    public class Producer extends Thread {
    private CubbyHole cubbyhole;
    private int number;
    public Producer(CubbyHole c, int number) {
    cubbyhole = c;
    this.number = number;
    public void run() {
    for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
    cubbyhole.put(i);
    System.out.println("Producer #" + this.number
    + " put: " + i);
    try {
    sleep((int)(Math.random() * 100));
    } catch (InterruptedException e) { }
    public class Consumer extends Thread {
    private CubbyHole cubbyhole;
    private int number;
    public Consumer(CubbyHole c, int number) {
    cubbyhole = c;
    this.number = number;
    public void run() {
    int value = 0;
    for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
    value = cubbyhole.get();
    System.out.println("Consumer #" + this.number
    + " got: " + value);
    public class CubbyHole {
    private int contents;
    private boolean available = false;
    public synchronized int get() {
    while (available == false) {
    try {
    wait();
    } catch (InterruptedException e) { }
    available = false;
    System.out.println("get " + contents);
    notifyAll();
    return contents;
    public synchronized void put(int value) {
    while (available == true) {
    try {
    wait();
    } catch (InterruptedException e) { }
    contents = value;
    System.out.println("put " + contents);
    available = true;
    notifyAll();
    The result is as below:
    put 0
    Producer #1 put: 0
    get 0
    Consumer #1 got: 0
    put 1
    get 1
    Consumer #1 got: 1
    Producer #1 put: 1
    put 2
    get 2
    Consumer #1 got: 2
    Producer #1 put: 2
    put 3
    get 3
    Consumer #1 got: 3
    Producer #1 put: 3
    put 4
    get 4
    Consumer #1 got: 4
    Producer #1 put: 4
    put 5
    get 5
    Consumer #1 got: 5
    Producer #1 put: 5
    put 6
    get 6
    Consumer #1 got: 6
    Producer #1 put: 6
    put 7
    get 7
    Consumer #1 got: 7
    Producer #1 put: 7
    put 8
    get 8
    Consumer #1 got: 8
    Producer #1 put: 8
    put 9
    Producer #1 put: 9
    get 9
    Consumer #1 got: 9

    Hi alaska,
    The reason you got those results are because these are
    threads. The execution of the order of thread is
    always random (unless some explicit logic is applied)
    and CPU can execute any thread at any time within the
    process. So the results you got are perfectly right.
    Even the order of the output may change everytime you
    run the same program.
    -- manishI think you can change the predictability by setting the Producer's thread priority has higher than the Consumer's...

  • Source to learn about cell phone programming etc...

    Hi, I'm new to forum. I would like to learn all I can about programming, modifying and messing with cell phones ( Droid X would be my preference but would like to learn all). Is there books, a site or anything else that I can buy to learn more? Getting my Droid early next week, I'm a bit excited can you tell!
    Thanks Scott

    Salps wrote:
    I guess I didn't explain what I wanted to learn correctly. I would like to learn about how to set up, configure, root, and mess around with cell phones (Droid X).
    Thanks Scott
    To do those things, you will need to do an internet search for that. We cannot explain here because the forum moderators will remove the information before you can see it.
    The owners manual is on the verizon site for download. That will help with the setup part.
    Be advised that rooting your phone will nullify your warranty on the phone.

  • HT4539 I recently bought an album on iTunes on my cell phone.

    As in the title, I bought an album through iTunes on my phone last month. Later I tried to view the files on my PC laptop, and although I was connected to the internet, no songs downloaded. I plugged my phone in to remind iTunes of the new files, and only half of the album downloaded. I want to have all of the files on my computer, but they only show up on my iPhone and my iPod Touch. How can I download these purchased files?

    You might be able to redownload them on your PC via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage. Or you should also be able to connect your phone or iPod to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, that should copy them over.
    The 'automatic downloads' page that you posted from only applies to new purchases e.g. if it's now 'on' on your PC's iTunes then if you buy any more music on your iPhone and/or iPod then those track(s) should also then automatically download on your PC

    The banner usually indicates that the memo is "Paused." If you go back into voice memos, touch the word "Done" beside the big red pause button, give it a name, then it will show in a list. Touch the memo in the list then touch the trash can icon that should appear.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
    You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
    You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
    If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • Bought an album, accidentally deleted it. How can I get it back?

    As my topic says, I bought an album. Then I was going to delete all the songs in my library, of course I presumed that it wasn't going to affect the songs in my bougt songs playlist. But they are gone and I can't get them back.
    Someone who knows something about this?

    .Does anyone how to retrieve them off the I pod
    Covered in these forums multiple times. See this thread:

    among others.
    I'm guessing iTunes store won't let you get them again even though you paid for them????
    Correct. You get only one download per purchase (with the exceptions of applications from the App Store).

  • TS1362 I bought an album, but some of the songs purchased don't play fully

    I bought an album off of the itunes store today, and while listening to a few found that some of the songs cut out mid song. The time on the top of the tunes continues, but no audio comes out.
    How do I go about fixing this?

    Delete the current copies of the songs from iTunes and then download again (free) from your purchased history.
    If the problem persists contact iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history.

  • Want to learn about xCode

    I bought my first Mac in february and I love everything about it. that said, I've been trying to get my hands on as much software as possible and I'm interested in learning about xCode. is there somewhere I can get started, right from scratch? I don't know much about developing software at all but I'm willing to learn.
    Thanks

    I posted this a while back. I don't know if it was helpful or not. It is a tutorial on C programming written by the author of a very good book on Motif programming.
    How C Programming Works
    Since you are just starting, my advice is to stay out of Xcode, just for little bit. Go through some basic "HelloWorld" tutorials. Learn how the terminal works. Learn a little bit about the process of compiling a source file into an executable. Xcode is very good, but it hides a lot of what is going on underneath. I think you would be much more effective with Xcode if you knew a little about that hidden stuff.

  • Bought an album on itunes and its split in two across my computers!!

    I bought an album on itunes while on my laptop(mac), well I lost my airport connection half way through downloading it and so came down to my pc(windows) and opened up itunes - so now I have half my album on my pc and half on my laptop!!!!
    I have just read in itunes support that I can not use my ipod with both a mac and windows, they have to have the same operating system, so now what am I supposed to do!!!

    *I have just read in itunes support that I can not use my ipod with both a mac and windows, they have to have the same operating system*
    What format is your iPod? If your iPod is formatted for Mac it won't run natively on a PC because Windows operating systems don't recognize Mac OS-formatted disks (HFS or HFS Plus formats). Mac formatted iPods can only be used on a PC that has a third party helper program such as XPlay or MacDrive installed: How to determine your iPod's disk format
    However Macs can read Windows drives, the iPod shuffle for instance comes Windows formatted and is fully supported. When the article talks of not supporting an iPod across platforms it effectively means that apart from the shuffle you can't update the software for a Windows iPod on a Mac without reformatting. (In the case if the fully supported shuffle, you can update the firmware or restore it on the Mac and it retains it's Windows formatting). I believe the iPod Touch and the iPhone are also platform independent and can be used on the Mac and Windows.
    If your iPod is Windows formatted you should be able to use it on both the Mac and the PC as long as you remember the point about updating it's software.
