...to optimal size for browser, say 1024 x ???. IS there a scale tool like in AfterEffects...I hope/wish/pray?

You can select and scale your objects. Group them together, then use Modify > Transform > Numeric Transform to scale or resize.
Then you can trim excess canvas area from Modify > Canvas> Trim canvas.

garageband : create & edit audio. add 1400x1400 image.
share to itunes.
drag file to desktop.
upload .m4a file to google drive.
create a link post in wordpress using "podcast" tag & create "podcast" category.
click on "entries rss" in wordpress, which takes me to the rss subscribe page (which is basically just my wordpress address with "/feed" at the end.
i copy this url.
go to itunes store > then "submit a podcast"
itunes gives me the error message "we had difficulty downloading episodes from your feed."
when i try to subscribe to my podcast in itunes, it does, but gives me no episodes available.
i went back into wordpress and changed settings/ reading settings to : "full text" from "summary"
still the same error message.
i added a feedburner step after wordpress but got the same errors. i don't think i should have to add feedburner.
wordpress seems to be encapsulating the rss, what am i doing wrong?
this so much easier when you could go directly from garage band to iweb to mobileme; i miss those apple days (also idisk).

if anyone has a super EASY process, i would LOVE to know what it is. Is there an easy way to create 2 page imposed PDFs with a background?

I have figured out a way to create a suitable imposed single page PDF using the 'import as layer' action, the action only understands a single paged background PDF.
In other words, I have a PDF that has the suitable marks on it with the pages marked 'Page 1' & 'Page 2'. This is the background PDF.
I open this PDF in Acrobat and run the action that places another PDF (the 'Source' PDF) on multiple layers with different offsets.
The original (template) PDF is 2 pages & the Source PDF for imposition is 2 pages, and even though the 'import as layer' understands that the source PDF being imposed is 2 pages, it does not seem to allow the original (template) PDF to be seen as 2 pages.
There is a 'Target page number' option in the Preview area, but that is grayed out at 1.
So...other than commercial applications, is there an easy way to build a 2 page PDF imposition file??

Yes, the Quite software would be perfect, especially the 'Hot'. Tested & works great for us, but the price tag for the 'Hot' is rather steep for our relatively simple process......background template with a 'step & repeat' of the 'live' document.
As I mentioned in the original post, to do this with a single page PDF is simple enough using an action that places the 'live' doc multiple times, but the vast majority of our publications are 2 pages.
Currently runing the action twice for each job. I would save a bit of time if this could be automated to do both sides with one action, or one script.

Thank you very much. The last one youve send me looks the most what i have in mind. With some thumbnails and when you click on it you see a larger document.
But it doesnt fit quite in the style of the site. You have an other example for me?

I'm creating a new site and I want to add some breadcrumb navigation links, in addition to using the Menu Bar widget.
Is there an easy way to build breadcrumb links? Or do I just create them manually?

I got these ones for free when they were first released Adobe Muse SEO Breadcrumbs Widget You have to enter each breadcrumb which is annoying, but they're pretty easy to use. I'm not sure I would call disk authoring a 'simple' process. Unless it's a very basic disk, or course, with but a single timeline and no menus. But the kind of disk we're using to seeing from Hollywood is anything but simple to create, and so not so simple to explain.

Using Automator, you can export some of the infoemation to a tab delimited file which Excel can open.

You can drag a selection of contacts into Numbers and it will grab a little of the Info, putting it in columns.

Is there an easy way to concatenate 2 MIDI songs in the same project

Hi!
I have 2 different songs, different instruments, different tempo (tempo list in fact!). But everything is MIDI.
Is there an easy way to concatenate the 2 songs in the same file (the end of one is the beginning of the next)? I know I can make space to import one into the other, etc. but then how do you import the instruments, the tempo list, etc. and copying track by track is long.

Oh, and as far as copying instruments? If an instrument in B doesn't exist in A, copy and paste them from B's Environment into A's Environment. DO NOT use the Environment import functions. They will ruin your life (I'm quite serious about that). You have been warned.
You may find that after you get A + B together that some of B's tracks aren't assigned to the right instrument. You'll have to manually re-assign them. There's no way around this.
Do this as the last step in your process.
To do this concatenation sucessfully it's important that you follow the steps I outlined in the order I presented them. Otherwise you're in for headaches. But it's totally do-able.

Is there an easy way to make JSpinner wrap around at max/min values?

I have several pages with a couple dozen JSpinners to set various values - mostly numeric, but some are not.
I would like to make them wrap around when either the max or min values are reached.
Is there an easy way to do this?
I was hoping for something like an "enableWraparound" property, but I haven't found such an animal.
I suspect I could add value change listeners to all the components and do it by brute force,
but there are too many spinners scattered around to make that an option I would like to take.
Any suggestions?

Ok, it looks like custom spinner models are the way to go.
Hopefully, I can create a couple that are generic enough to meet my requirements without too much pain.

Is there an easy way to clear the contents of Download Folder?

Is there an easier way to clear out files (send to trash) from the downloads folder, other than dragging one by one? The downloads folder closes immediately upon dragging one file out.

You do not need to invoke Finder to do this. Create a new empty Automator workflow and use the "Run Shell Script" option. Paste in the following....
mv ~/Downloads/* ~/.Trash
You can then save the workflow as an application, attach it as a Finder action or add it to the scripts menu, whichever you like better.
If you would like to bypass the Trash and just completely delete the Downloads folder contents immediately, then paste in this command:
rm -rf ~/Downloads/*

Sure, just use any selection tool to make your selection. Here, I simply used an elliptical selection:
Then, use Select...Feather to feather the selection. I used 10px. Hit the Ctrl+J keys to copy that feathered selection to a new layer with a transparent background:
