Accidentally deleted all music in itunes 11.1.0.126 can't restore library to original state

So I'm using Windows 8 and I think I accidentally misclicked or mispressed something and then my entire music library in Itunes was highlighted and then deleted. I tried pressing undo and Ctrl Z to no avail. Then I tried closing and reopening Itunes but all my music was still missing, everything else like movies and apps were still there. I thought if I tried re-adding all my songs it would go back to the way it was before so I went to Users/Music and dragged all my songs into Itunes, but I quickly found out that a lot of my music was still missing and additionally my entire music library was restructured (all the music I dragged in said 10/29 date added), which really ***** because I originally sorted all my music by Date Added, and now not only is the organization messed but I'm missing about half my library (6 GB of music, mostly older songs) too
Is there a way to restore my Itunes library or find older .tl/.xml files? Because I tried looking for my old Itunes libray in Music/Itunes but I found out that the iTunes Library.itl file automatically updates when you open Itunes, so I'm stuck with the itunes library version that I created when I dragged in my songs from my Music folder when I attempted to fix the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

SeeEmpty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash to restore the state of the library database. You'll probably need to find an unerase tool to recover the media files, or pull those back from any device you may have, as I doubt they are recoverable from the recycle bin.

  • Deleted all music in itunes upgrading to 7.0.6.29; how do i get it back?

i recently ugraded itunes 7.0.6.29 and managed to (accidently) delete all music in itunes. i am now having to go into all my music, folder by folder, to import the files back into itunes. 3500 done, 5000 to go. AArrrgh. any ideas how to do it faster? i would like to get the playlists back that i ahve on my ipod but i dare not try to sync it in case it wipes the ipod as well. this idiot would appreciate any help he can get.

If your iPod is set to update automatically you just need to take care connecting to a changed iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7.3 or later installed hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes - Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that way you can continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it until you can restore your songs and playlists: Managing content manually on iPod
There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and clone playlists from your iPod. Have a look at this one for instance: iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)

I accidentally deleted the song in iTunes from my macbook, how can I get it back?

  • HT201323 Delete all music in iTunes Match except Purchased items

How can I delete all of my uploaded music in iTunes Match (cloud) EXCEPT for my iTunes purchased music?

    HI
Make a smart playlist based on iCloud status not purchased. Select all tracks in list (cmd + A) then delete tracks (option + delete). As tracks have already been deleted from your hard drive, you will not get message to keep or move files to trash but you will get message telling you that the tracks will be moved from the cloud and will no longer be available in the cloud.
Doing this will clear iTunes match. Do you have a back up of your music on an external drive?

  • Accidentally deleted a book from ibooks on my desktop. how can i restore it?

is there any way to restore a deleted book bought on ibooks on my desktop. i can still see it on my ipad but not the desktop.

If you bought the book using iTunes, simply open the iTunes Store (in the iTunes application, there is no standalone iBooks app on Mac or Windows), click on 'Books' in the list of content areas, then click on 'Purchased' in the right hand column towards the bottom of the top section in the 'Books Quick Links'.  You should then be able to see all the books you have purchased and redownload it by clicking the 'Download' button.  You need to be signed into the iTunes Store with the Apple ID that you used to purchase the book.
If you bought the book using a different application, which application/store did you buy it from?

  • HT204053 I have accidentally deleted my notes  ! Is there a way it can be restored. Please help this is very vital information

I have accidentally deleted my notes on my iPhone a3GS and since it synchronises with my new ipad they have also been deleted on the ipad. I have no computer or laptop. How can I restore them . Please help!!

If you have been doing icloud backups, then you can restore that backup, which will include notes.  The only downside is that you'll be rolling back your device to a previous state (newer data since the backup will be lost).
If you have not performed backups to icloud, then your data is gone.

  • How to delete all music from itunes and start over

I have had many issues with my itunes, and I want to completely delete it and start over. My ipod has all the movies and music just as I want it. Is there a way to start over with itunes and import all the music and movies from my ipod and purchase history?

Rebuilding your library from the contents of your device is possible (see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device) but I wouldn't recommend this as an approach to cleaning up your library if you don't have to. You could, for example, delete the current iTunes Library.itl file and then reimport the contents of the media folder. This would wipe out all playlists, ratings, play counts, and clean up any dead links in the library, but might still show any previously duplicated content, and iTunes is likely to wipe and reload your device next time you sync.
Why not tackle the issues in your library?

  • Got a new laptop but ipod will delete all music cause its hooked to desktop how can i keep everything on it

just got new laptop downloaded itunes it wont sync without taking all my things off how can i keep all my stuff without deleting everything. plese help got some songs that i wanna put on it but keep my old school jams

    Dear Jaymob:
The way I have done this in the past is:
    1. Connect desktop to the iPhone.
    2. Navigate to your iPhone in the left pane
    3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page under the heading Options
    4. Check the box following the option manually manage music and videos.
This will alter your current iCloud Settings*
Let me know if any of this is unclear.

  • TS1399 My 160 gb ipod deletes all music and refuses to load despite twenty attempts to restore it, please help.

My 160 gb ipod classic is refusing to load music, i have restored it more than twenty times, somebody help> Anybody home?

The most likely problem is a damaged source file, but you could try this technique for populating the iPod in stages.
    *Break up large transfers*
In iTunes select the menu item *File... New Smart Playlist*. Change the first drop-down box to Playlist, the next to is and the next to Music. Tick against *Limit to*, type in say 10, then change the drop-down to GB, and set the last drop-down to artist. When you click OK you can enter a name for the playlist, e.g. Transfer. Now sync this playlist to your iPod rather than your entire library. When the sync is complete modify the rule ( *File... Edit playlist* ) to increase the size by your chosen amount, then sync and repeat. You can experiment with different size increments, if it doesn't work just choose something a bit smaller until it works each time. Before long you should have all your music on your iPod. Once that's done you can move on to other media such as podcasts, videos, photos, playlists etc.

  • I accidentally deleted all my music and now can't download an album I downloaded of a CD

I accidentally deleted all my music off my iPod and then synced my iPod to iTunes on my computer. However, it says "Some of the items in the iTunes library including --------- were not copied to the iPod ----- iPod touch because they could not be found". What do I do to get my music back as it is in my iTunes on my computer but not in my purchased file on iTunes on my iPod as the music is off a CD. Help would, as always, be helpful. Thanks.
