ACCIDENTALLY DELETED ALL SONGS pleaaseee help me

i have a nano 3rd generation
this is probably a common problem but...
i always have my ipod on the "manuallly add" setting. i went to put a movie on and it wouldn't go on. so i tried going to the ipod and syncing it in the non-manual way. the window came up that said it would replace all the current stuff on there. at the time i though it only meant it would replace the movies NOT all my MUSIC! i don't know what to do...i had over 500 songs and i have no idea where to start to get them all back. some are saved on a playlist or in my library, but a lot are not. im so upset right now because i know this wouldn't happen on a regular mp3 player! can't there be an "undo" button?! does anyone know of a way to get all my songs back!? and i've already tried those software trials and that didn't do anything. pleaseee help me
thank you!

As far as i know you are S.O.L. I do not know of a way to get it back after you erase.

Help ... I've accidentally deleted all data of my user in the terminal. what to do? Can i undo the commands?
    greetings from austria

You cannot undo commands. When you delete/remove files with the rm command the files are not put in the trash where they could be recovered. They are gone.
You should have your system backed up with Time machine and/or backup clone of your system. Use them to recover you files.

I don't know why the songs aren't matching.
Just because a song does not "match" does not mean it won't be available in the cloud. Non-purchased tracks that are not matched will be uploaded to the cloud. You need to enable the iCloud Status. Pull down View > View Options and select "iCloud Status" then close the small window.
    Rick Fernandez1 wrote:
iTunes only shows one kind of cloud icon next to songs, viz, a cloud with a down arrow set in a grey background. There are no cloud icons next to any other songs. I'm not sure what their status is consequently.
Unless you've deleted the track from the iTunes library you shouldn't see any cloud icons next to songs that have been successfully processed. Did you delete any tracks?
    Rick Fernandez1 wrote:
What is really want is to match and also be able to keep the songs that don't match. Are these mutually exclusive goals? If so, then I don't want iTunes Match after all.
You do. The tracks in the iTunes library are not touched or modified in any way. They stay right where they are unless you delete them.
    Rick Fernandez1 wrote:
Also, I thought Match was supposed to convert the songs that are matched to 256 kbps. This has not at all happened. I don't see any that were upconverted at all.
This does not happen automagically. You must delete the track from the iTunes library and download the "matched" track. But upgrading only works for tracks that have been "matched." Tracks that have been "uploaded" are exactly the same as what was on your HDD. See my instructions above to enable the iCloud Status column.

  • How can I delete all songs from iCloud library?

    Hi,
I have a strange issue and couldn't really find any information about this on Google, so I thought I would try here. I'm kind of surprised this hasn't come up for other users yet (or maybe it has and I'm just missing it.)
I matched my iTunes library yesterday. About 60% of the songs were matched, 15% were uploaded and 25% were errored. I really like iTunes Match but I decided that I want to micromanage the library to get the best match results. To do this, I wanted to do the following:
    1. Remove all songs from my iCloud library
    2. Create a new iTunes library for use with iTunes
    3. Add to the library, artist by artist to match/correct.
I began to do this in my new library and it was working fine. However I then decided to completely clear the old library, so I went into my original library, deleted all songs and definitely selected the option to delete from iCloud. I am 100% positive I did this. However, none of the songs deleted. They are not available in my original library (I have checked the option to display songs not on this computer) and they don't show up in my other library, either. I have no option to download the songs from iTunes on any computer, though I retain access from my iPhone.
So, I need to delete these songs from iCloud. It does me no good to have them there when they're so disorganized and especially when I can't access them from most of my iTunes enabled devices. I was thinking of calling Apple to see if they could clear my iCloud library but a. I'm not sure they will and b. I don't want to pay $29 to discuss this with them, as I feel it is an issue with iTunes Match/iCloud and should be complimentary.
I thought that maybe the songs would delete over time, since I know the iCloud servers are heavily taxed at the moment. However, it has been about 15 hours and there is absolutely no change. The iMatch section of iTunes shows that there are songs available, but none of them are; and since my plan is to reupload to iCloud anyway, that's fine--I just need to find out how to actually make the delete go through.
    Thanks!

I called Apple and spoke with a customer service representative regarding this issue. I was given the two things to try, and if they don't work, I was told I can call back in:
    1. Go to iCloud.com and look at the advanced options. Since Photos can be deleted here, the representative thought there may be an option to remove songs here as well.
    2. Go into the library that has the songs that were deleted and click Update iTunes match.
I tried #1--this didn't resolve the issue, as there is no option to remove songs this way. I can't try #2 right now since I'm at work, but if anybody else with this issue can try that step it can help us get the ball rolling on it. After I try that, I'll call Apple back to discuss this further.

  • I accidentally deleted all my music and now can't download an album I downloaded of a CD

I accidentally deleted all my music off my iPod and then synced my iPod to iTunes on my computer. However, it says "Some of the items in the iTunes library including --------- were not copied to the iPod ----- iPod touch because they could not be found". What do I do to get my music back as it is in my iTunes on my computer but not in my purchased file on iTunes on my iPod as the music is off a CD. Help would, as always, be helpful. Thanks.

That message means that iTunes can't find the actual music files. You need to find the music files. This may help

  • How can I delete all songs and data from my 80GB ipod classic without opening itunes?

I have an older 80GB ipod classic that works but will not play any songs. I'm trying to delete all songs and data from the hard drive to see if that will fix the problem, however, it will not appear in my itunes. I've tried various ways to help it appear in my itunes but I do not want to delete my itunes because I have another ipod that has all those songs on it.
I was wondering if there was a way to restore my ipod back to the beginning without having to go through itunes. Thanks!

It might, but I wouldn't bet much on it.  Either way, give it a shot.
Otherwise, if appears in Windows an external hard disk, try a low level reformat of the device's hard drive.  See here for instructions on how to do this.

I accidentally deleted all of my vacation photos from photo stream on my iPad.  Is there any way to recover these pictures back into my iPad?

Lots of iPad users think it is impossible to recover lost data from iPad, in fact , it is possible.
Method 1: Trash bin to recover the deleted photos
Restore from your iCloud backup, if you used iCloud to backup your phone, see iCloud: Backup and restore overview, or estore from a backup you made with iTunes on your mac.
Method 2: Restore from the PhotoStream synced to your other devices.
Do you have Photo Stream enabled? Then your iPad will have a sent all photos added to the camera roll to the photo stream, and other devices you sync with the Photo Stream may have downloaded the photos, see: iCloud:
    Hope this helps.
If you make a backup previously, you still can recover your iPad photos from backup.

  • I accidentally delete all my photo in the "all my files". How could I back up all the photo? (time machine is turn off)

I accidentally delete all my photo in the "all my files".
actually I delete every thing in ALL MY FILES.
How could I back up all the photo?
and other data, such as movies and so on?
Do I need to go to Apple store to back up?
    (time machine is turn off)

If you don't have a back up then you'll need to use a file recovery app like File Salvage
To back up iPhoto you make a copy of the Library on another disk.

How come it's not the same with music purchasing?
Because Apple pays the music copyright holders a royalty each time a song, including a free single, is downloaded from the iTunes Store. You can sometimes get one free redownload request granted by using _*this form*_, but never more than one.
    good luck !

Can I get it back from purchased order in iTunes store??

It is not about using the cloud you access this as I said from inside the itunes store
When you click on purchased you should see something like this. Click on the cloud icon by the side of the item to download it
