Accidentally Deleted Appleworks Application icon

My kids accidentally deleted the apple works 6 icon and I don't see it in the trash. How can I get it back without reinstalling the software?

Since the application itself has been deleted, you'll have to reinstall it from the original disk. As you have a MacBook, I have to assume you have the retail AppleWorks CD as AppleWorks is not bundled with any Intel Mac.

If  you accidentally delete the Apllication icon on your dock, how do you add it back there???

You click on the hard disk in the Finder's sidebar and drag it back from there. In recent Mac OS X versions, you can also drag it there directly from the sidebar.

  • Accidentally deleted AppleWorks

I accidentally deleted AppleWorks from my iBook G4 (long story, but was trying to fix kernel panics and did a clean install of OS 10.5).
I saved the original install disks, but there doesn't seem to be a copy of AppleWorks on them.
    Any ideas?

AppleWorks is not included on retail OS X disks but is included on the original disks that came with your G4 iBook. Since you have an iMac, AppleWorks was pre-installed on it. Apple has written two articles, Knowledge Base article 300316 on installing AppleWorks 6 & Knowledge Base article 61802 on restoring the software than came with your Mac.
AppleWorks is not reinstalled by default when you do a restore of original software or just the bundled software. This is most likely due to the fact that AppleWorks is not a multi-lingual application & the installer doesn't "know" which language version you want. You can always reinstall AppleWorks from the Install DVD that came with your Mac. Insert the Install DVD, double-click on the install bundled software icon, click the arrow/triangle (if necessary) next to AppleWorks at the bottom of the list, check the box for the language you want, click Install (I think) & follow the directions.

  • Accidentally Deleted the Mail Icon on IMac

I accidentally deleted the Mail icon on my IMac. I can't find it in "Applications" folder either, so maybe I deleted something more serious?!
How do I reinstall the mail icon or find the application in my system?
    Thanks.

Perform a custom install from the Mac OS X 10.4 disk and install only that component if possible; if not, use Pacifist to install it. In either case, run the combo updater for your Mac OS X version afterward.

On your iMac launch iTunes and at the top next to the Apple symbol click iTunes > Preferences > Devices and tell me what you see. You last sync should be there showing only a device name. If you have an older backup it will be there as well the difference is it will be the device name with a date and time stamp. Sync and backups are two different things and there is a chance iTunes made a backup the first time you hooked up your iPhone 5.

  • I accidentally deleted the applications: Mail, Safari

I accidentally deleted the applications: Mail, Safari & iTunes from the launchpad. I also emptied the trash by accident.
Is there a way to reinstall these applications without reinstalling the Mac OS X?
Will upgrading to Mountain Lion resolive my problem?
    What is the best solution?
    Thank You,

If Spotlight is unable to locate your apps, use the install disc that came with your computer to custom install.  On screen directions will guide you.  Once this is done, use Software Update to update Safari, iTunes and Mail if necessary.

  • How do I delete Ipad Application Icons

How do I delete Ipad Application Icons ? I tried to load a few and they didn't load and now I am left with icons that have "Waiting" underneath and nothing is happening
I have tried the hold and wiggle but they wiggle without the X so I can't delete that way
    Please help ?

Restarting worked for me. Just hold down the sleep button until the red slider appears. Slide to power off. To turn it back on, it has to be plugged in to the wall or a computer.

  • I accidentally deleted launch pad icon, how can I reinstall it?

I accidentally deleted the launch pad icon from the bottom menu bar when I downloaded a game. How can I put it back in?

Go to Finder>Applications and then click on LaunchPad. It then should go to the Dock. The Dock is the row of App icons usually at the bottom of the screen.
Then right click on the LauchPad icon and go to Options and select Keep in Dock

My daughter accidentally deleted my Pages program and icon from my toolbar while downloading free fonts off the internet. Now I can't create documents! How can I get it back?

Go to the little magnifying glass at the upper right of your screen, click and type in Pages.  It will likely show up under top hit, and also under applications.  Click on it.  When Pages is running the icon will appear in your doc again.  Control-click on the icon, choose options from the pop-up menu and choose Keep in Dock.
Now your Pages icon should be permanently back in the dock for you.

  • Accidentally deleted facebook application

my ipod touch's version is 2 point something
and you know apple's newest version for ipod touch is 3.1.1(or something similar,i can't remember)
so facebook's application updated to version 3.0 above too
but last week i accidentally deleted the facebook application
but i can't download the newest one because my ipod's version isn't 3.0 or above
then how can i get back my facebook application without paying for the new 3.1.1 version?

Forcing one to upgrade is not very nice.
No-one is forcing anyone to do anything. You can stay on the same versions of OS and Apps as long as you like. But if you didn't safeguard your applications by backing them up that's nobodys fault but your own.

  • I accidentally deleted the settings icon on my I phone 4 how do I restore it

I accidentally deleted my I phone 4s settings icon how can I restore it?

The Settings app cannot be deleted.
Are you sure it wasn't accidentally moved to another page or into a folder?
Did you try a Spotlight search? (Swipe down from the middle of your home screen and type "Settings")
If you cannot find it you can reset your home screen layout:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout

  • Accidentally deleted an application. How do I get it back?

Someone in my household deleted an application, photobooth to be specific, by dragging it onto the desktop. I've done it before to remove applications from the dock, but never from the finder section. In the dock it just has a question mark over it.
Is there anywhere that I can download it or restore it back to normal?
    macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Its not in the applications folder either and my trashcan is cleared.
I think that after some searching, I'm supposed to reinstall the original cd that came with it, but thank you anyway.
