Accidentally deleted device backup in iTunes

i have Time Machine backups. how do I recover accidentally deleted device backup?

Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync
In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return. A folder may open. If it does, enter Time Machine and restore the contents from a snapshot that predates the unwanted changes.

  • Can I recover a deleted device backup in windows iTunes?

I was backing up my iPhone with iTunes and a couple of things happen: 1. All my phone numbers where deleted after the backup.
    2. Me thinking this was a glitch, I attempt restoring from backups all my data. Instead of fuged-up further. I said to myself, maybe the backups will reset if close iTunes; maybe they will reset if I delete older ones (in the past when I did this they remained in the backup history). Nothing happen and I lost my data, and my backups.
So, can I recover deleted device backups in PC? Please Help. Thank You.

Open up old files in the autosave vault until you find one with the deleted bin.  copy it into the current project.

  • HT4946 Oops, I deleted my device backup from iTunes but want it back!

When a device backup is deleted from iTunes, is there a way to get it back?  I was trying to sync my iPad and create a backup on my new laptop, but it glitched during the sync process so now my "Other" is shown as almost 25GB on my 64GB iPad.  I had created a backup at that point, which included all my local app data.  However, in my attempt to fix the "Other" size issue, I somehow ended up restoring my iPad to an old backup from two months ago and deleted the current backup accidentally.  I would really like to find out where the device backup goes when it is deleted.  Does it move to the Recycle Bin or anywhere else on the computer I can access it to bring it back?  I have lost about two months of local app data by accidentally restoring to this older backup, but now I have no current backup to use!

That is a really good suggestion, however it was all done within a period of a few hours (from time of backup creation to accidentally deleting that new backup instead of the two-month old version). Therefore, I don't believe the computer had a backup in between that time. I will look, but I think it was created and deleted all too quickly for there to be a secondary backup restore point on the computer.

  • Accidentally deleted icloud backup.

Oops, I was trying to see what previous backup dates were available on my iphone.  I accidentally deleted the icloud backup altogether (showing full storage capacity now).  I don't want to restore the phone, but I also didn't mean to delete the previous backup.  Is there a way to restore the data on the cloud only?

Restore your iPhone from your most recent backup to iTunes or iCloud that had these pictures.
Also, transfer your photos from your iPhone to your computer regularly in the future.

I am using iphone 3GS, after syncing for few times and got the errors. I deleted the backup from Edit-> Preferences-> Devices. Then I synced again,  there was an error message: itunes could not back up the iphone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iphone. What can I do? I have no backup anymore on ituens.

I closed iTunes & manually deleted the file which was still stored locally even though it didn't display in Preferences.  I have vista so I went to
C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync and deleted everything in the Backup folder (though I left the folder as is).  If you have a different OS search the apple website for the backup location.
I reopened iTunes & Synced with out a problem.  I also got the update to install.
    Good luck.

  • I accidentally deleted my backup from icloud on my iphone and now when I go into icloud in the settings it doesn't give me the option to backup my iphone to my icloud account anymore? How can I get my phone to backup to icloud again?

I accidentally deleted the latest backup for my iphone 6 on icloud like a week ago and now I can't backup my phone to icloud at all.  When I go into settings, then into icloud, and then into manage my storage it does not give me the option to backup my iphone to my icloud account anymore. How do I get the "backup my iphone now" option in the manage my storage part of the icloud setting? Thanks.

Hey guys I figured out how to solve the issue.
You need to go to settings>general>restrictions.
Turn off restrictions and your iCloud and twitter will start working.
    Enjoy.

Select the iPad or iPod touch in iTunes, then right click -> Backup.

  • Missing Device Backups in iTunes

After a new installation of Lion I restored iTunes from Time Machine. For some reason none of my Device backups are showing in the preferences pane. Any recommendations on how I can find the missing files in Time Machine and restore them to iTunes would be appreciated.

  • Why are my contacts and reminders and photos syncing between me and my boyfriends phone, as well as my macbook air? How do I make this stop? I've already deleted Icloud backups on itunes but that didn't help because we still seem to be synced. Help.

Why are all of my devices syncing with my boyfriends phone? His phones photos are synced to my macbook air photo stream, my reminders are synced to his phone, I already erased all of my itunes backups through itunes thinking that would fix the issue but it failed to resolve the problem. My contacts also synced to his phone and his Imessages are synced to my imessages now... this is extremely frustrating and would like this to stop alread. Please help.

Well in the iPhone and the iPad in the Settings in the iCloud section, there is an Apple ID associated with the device. And in the MacBook Air there is (or can be) an Apple ID associated with the account.
In the iPhone and iPad in the same settings panel you select what gets synced with the cloud.
I'm guessing that your devices and your boyfriend's are set up with the same Apple ID and the switches to sync are set? I'm not an expert but that is what I'd look at first. You need to have a separate Apple ID from your boyfriend or turn syncing off if you don't want that to happen I think.

  • If you delete your backup on iTunes and iCloud and then wipe the phone to factory settings, does that delete all iMessages from being read on other devices (re:iPad)?

My friend had a shared phone account with his now ex girlfriend and he was not phone savy so they shared an apple id. She is able to read all of his text messages. I was wondering if the backup is deleted from the iTunes account and the iCloud, are those messages still readable by her on her iPad?

If you physically delete ANY file, you CANNOT acess it from the cloud. Because THERE'S NOTHING TO ACCESS anymore...
If you move your files to the EHD, you need to point your library to the EHD or NONE of the songs will be available anywhere, including the MBA.
EVERYTHING on your iPhone will likely have to be "reacquired" once the move is complete.

  • Accidentally deleted all music in itunes 11.1.0.126 can't restore library to original state

So I'm using Windows 8 and I think I accidentally misclicked or mispressed something and then my entire music library in Itunes was highlighted and then deleted. I tried pressing undo and Ctrl Z to no avail. Then I tried closing and reopening Itunes but all my music was still missing, everything else like movies and apps were still there. I thought if I tried re-adding all my songs it would go back to the way it was before so I went to Users/Music and dragged all my songs into Itunes, but I quickly found out that a lot of my music was still missing and additionally my entire music library was restructured (all the music I dragged in said 10/29 date added), which really ***** because I originally sorted all my music by Date Added, and now not only is the organization messed but I'm missing about half my library (6 GB of music, mostly older songs) too
Is there a way to restore my Itunes library or find older .tl/.xml files? Because I tried looking for my old Itunes libray in Music/Itunes but I found out that the iTunes Library.itl file automatically updates when you open Itunes, so I'm stuck with the itunes library version that I created when I dragged in my songs from my Music folder when I attempted to fix the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

SeeEmpty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash to restore the state of the library database. You'll probably need to find an unerase tool to recover the media files, or pull those back from any device you may have, as I doubt they are recoverable from the recycle bin.

  • Accidentally deleted everything and now iTunes is all messed up!

I was going through some of my files and was recycling anything I didn't want or need anymore. Well, a bunch of my iTunes files were being stored in my picture files for some reason. I thought it was just the album art, so I put them to the recycling bin. Then when I clicked on iTunes, everything was gone!
I restored the files I recycled and I managed to use the Backup, and was able to get everything back, using my iPod. But now my problem is: It did not restore my playlists on iTunes and it won't sync newly downloaded songs to my iPod!
Everything on my iPod (5th Gen.) is just fine, with playlists, and whatever else. Everything is fully updated. I use Windows.

Try backing up the iPod to iTunes and restoring from that backup.
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
I think you messed up the iPod recognizing the computer as the one syncing computer you can have.

  • Accidentally deleted some stuff from Itunes cloud.

I can recover the items from Itunes Store, but wish to have them in the cloud

    It depends.
Did you click Move to Trash? If not, they are still where they were, just not showing in the Library. Simply Add them from your Music folder back into iTunes.
If you Trashed, have you emptied Trash? They may still be there.
