Accidentally deleted Start Page

I've just started playing with BC and have accidentally deleted the Start Page.
The system says:
No Start Page
Could not display this Web Site as no Start Page has been configured. To configure a default starting page, set one of your Web Pages to be the Start Page. Please contact your Administrator for more information.
But I cannot find a place to set a Web Page to be the Start Page.
If I can do this my clients will as well.
Any help appreciated.

You need to create new start page or set a different page to the start page.
visit 'Site Settings>Site Domains'
Click 'edit' for the default URL
the dropdown for 'Homepage' and choose your page.
You probably deleted the page by clicking the 'Delete' button at the bottom of the page editor, and raced pass the pop-up which asks you are you sure. If a client has refused training, it probably occurs in about 1% of my customers, but designers tend to rush past the pop up. ;-)

Go to the little magnifying glass at the upper right of your screen, click and type in Pages. It will likely show up under top hit, and also under applications. Click on it. When Pages is running the icon will appear in your doc again. Control-click on the icon, choose options from the pop-up menu and choose Keep in Dock.
Now your Pages icon should be permanently back in the dock for you.

Accidentally deleted a page

I deleted a page by accident and was wondering if there was a way to roll the system back to retrieve it?

Yeah .. That sucks.
There's been lots of discussion about this so we might see a recovery feature in the near future.
Depending on your skill set you could consider using an FTP program and work on the files on your computer. Or at the very least copy the entire site locally so you've got a physical backup.
Probably doesn't help much in this situation though.

If you did the backup of your notes before deleting then you can easily recover deleted notes on iPhone by the following steps:

Start page problems

Im trying to change my site and I have re-arranged it in iweb to have Welcome be my start page. My first start page I have deleted. But yet even after I publish to .mac my .mac web addr still goes to the original deleted start page.
Anyone have any ideas?

did you try emptying the cache on the safari browser? To do this go to safari and empty cache. You should do this after everytime you republish. Hope that helps.

On a mac, when you save docs to icloud, a local copy is also saved. It's saved at:
~/Library/Mobile Documents
Note that Library in the user's home folder is now hidden, so you'll have to set Finder to view hidden files.
The Mobile Documents folder has subfolder where copies of the doc/data files are stored.
If the file(s) are no longer there, then use your Time Machine backups to get copies back to the mac.

I have accidentally deleted the proloquotogo app with all it's data. It was on my iCloud backup list so can I know restore all the settings for this app from a previous iCloud backup? I now only have the basic pages instead of all the programmed pages.

Essentially it would mean another Internet connection yes, however it's your local network that I am wondering about and whether it could be the problem.

Go back into Quiz, Preferences, Pass or Fail. Uncheck 'Retake button' and check it again, it will reappear on the Score slide.

I tried starting with the Start Page, don't like now can't stop it even unchecking the option box and deleting the location

Wanted to see if I liked starting on the Start Page, but just an unnecessary step prefer starting in the folders already. So unchecked the box in the tools/options but it still opens on the Start Page. How can I get it to stop? I even deleted the page location link and it still opens on the Start Page.

OK it's not the "Start Page" it's the home page for the first email account. I prefer it open to the last folder when last closed.

Any apps you've had installed on your iPad can be downloaded again.
Go to App Store on your iPad and select 'Updates' and then tap on Purchased. You can then view all purchases made on the iPad or purchases made on other devices by selecting the 'Not on this iPad' tab.

If you have backed up the iPad since you created that page of notes and if you have not synced since, you can try restoring the iPad from a backup. Remember that the notes do have to be in the backup and when you restore from a backup, you restore all app data and files from that backup. You cannot select specific content to restore to the iPad. It is all or nothing.
If you want to try this, turn off auto sync in iTunes - without the iPad connected to the computer. Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preference>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing. Check the box at the bottom, click OK. Make sure that you have a backup in that window as well. Click OK and quit iTunes.
Now connect the iPad and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad name on the left and select - Restore from Backup. Select your backup from the window - Let the iPad restore and then sync with iTunes.
you can turn at sync back on again when you are done.

You don't need to reinstall Leopard.
You can reinstall Safari from here > Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard

/var is a hidden folder, so you mustn't remove the folder.
The only solution is to reinstall OS X. If you have OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, use OS X Recovery > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
Hold Command and R keys while your MacBook is starting and reinstall OS X. You won't lose anything. If you have a backup, you can restore it after starting in OS X Recovery instead of reinstalling Mac OS X, so you will save a lot of time

Deleting pop-up on Firefox start page

I get this "helpful" little advice pop-up on the start page which I hate. Can't see to delete/disable it in prefs without disabling all pop-ups.
It's a horrible feature....how can I get rid of it?

[Solved]Oops, I accidentally deleted the "Beginner's Guide" wiki page.

My apologies, I am trying to fix my mistake right now, but if someone could help me out, the sooner the better. I accidentally deleted the Beginner's Guide wiki page, trying to add my own edit. Will post back when I get it back to the last revision.

Update: can't say I checked any of his older posts but I guess I've seen part of his 'dumping linux' blog post -- most likely the one that 'angried' people and said sisters. I can only ask myself: what the big deal is? Who actually cares? Personally I never understood blogs nor the need to have them .. but it was my opinion that these unfortunate inventions were supposed to be destined for your friends (+sisters) to read. So I can't understand this: why does anybody else in the world -- care -- about what that guy uses/doesn't use? What makes him so important / such a(n) hero.
