Accidentally merged my iPhone with my partners iPhone library now when she adds new app she is asked for my password, when she restores phone, my apps download onto her chosen wallpaper/phone 5c, she still has her content too, it's like we have two accounts merged into one even our music is one big jumbled mess! please help!?!?!

Yeah we thought about just syncing straight to her itune library...  But the problem is she had used her iphone 3gs to purchase a boat load of new music and apps during the past 30 days or so... And those now only show up in my itunes library...
Also - I want to be careful not to wipe out all of my content by syncing her phone with my itunes again... Are there any precautions to take to make sure that the sync ensures content writing to her iphone ... rather than the other way around?

    You are not using a valid SIM that came along with your phone. Please insert the sim card with which your iPhone was purchased. Your phone is locked to that particular SIM and will not recognise other sim cards. If you don't know which sim it was, you might want to take the iPhone to the place where you purchased it from.

    There's no way around it.  The former owner needs to erase the phone and remove it from their account as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515.  No one else can help with this, including Apple.

  • I had to reset my iPhone 6  now when I add to my calendar it not only shows the appointment I set it also shows another one (GMT) that I did not set. How do I remove the (GMT) one?

    I reset my phone6+ the other day..now when I put an appointment in calendar 2 appointment show up..the one I entered as well as one in (GMT) that's like way off from what I entered. I know that something just needs to be turned off or deleted, but for the life of me I can't see it ....HELP

    Are you just using the Calendar app on your iPhone, or are you working with any other calendar applications?  I would first check these settings on your iPhone and your computer:

    I have iphone 6, my son has iphone 5c. My hotspot is turned off. My son gets option to tether to my hotspot, if he clicks on that then it remotely turns my hotspot on! Can other iphone users do the same? Worried about other people using all my data.

    The password for the hotspot will remembered by the devices that have connected to your hotspot.
    If you can't reset the network settings on those devices, which would also delete all network passwords on those, just chafe the hotspot password on your phone in Settings/Hotspot/Wi-Fi password.

    As I wrote, it seems as if your number is still associated with your mothers device for iMessage and FaceTime. That's why asked you to check the menu:
    "Settings > Messages > Send & Receive"
    "Settings > FaceTime"
    Furthermore, yes, I would recommend setting up her Apple ID/iCloud account on her device in "Settings > iCloud" + for the above mentioned iOS Settings. Of course, it would help, if you insert her sim card with her number, too.
    Yes, this combination should fix the issue.

  • My iphone keeps going in circles asking for my password when I try to update apps, help!

    My iphone 4 (not sure if its a 4 or 4S) stopped letting me update my apps after an ios update a few months ago. When I go to the 'updates' section in the app store, I have several apps that need to be updated. Whether I click 'update all' or try to update each app individually, it asks for my password. I input my password, but the updates do not start. If I click 'update' or 'update all' again, it again asks for my password, and just keeps going in the circle without ever actually starting the updates. This is happening on my ipad as well. I know an option is to delete my apps and reinstall, but I don't want to do that and really feel there must be a way to go back to being able to update. I've tried turning my phone off and on and reseting, but now with two ios updates later, I'm still not able to update any of my apps. Help!

    Were these apps acquired with the same Apple ID?
    Authorization for the update requires the password for the Apple ID used to acquire the content.
    Does the same issue occur if attempting to update the apps via iTunes on the computer?

    Well, now and then I skip a window and asks for the password of Yahoo accounts ... I introduce the password and it works ...
    I do not understand why sometimes asks me the password ... I was before ... but totally reset the Iphone ... and now comes back.

    It means the apps in question were purchased under your Apple ID rather than his.

    I've recently updated to iOS 8.1 on iPhone 5s.  Since then it asks for my iCloud password every time I unlock the phone.
    I have entered the password for my account in the settings area for iCloud and it has verified there.  But still asks me.
    I have keychain access turned on on the iPhone in settings.  When I turned this off it stopped asking for the password.
    Why is this?

    This is not fixed by turning off keychain.

    Just like the description above. Changed my Apple ID online and in the phone, but when I go to the App Store it asks for the password to the old ID. Then when I put the password in it says that it's incorrect.

    Go to settings>store and make sure the new apple ID is logged in at the bottom of the page.
    If not, log out of the old one and sign in with the new one.
