Accidentally opened location on holiday and now need to get back onto UK store from Egypt

On holiday in Egypt I downloaded iOS6 and allowed location service. It switched my store from UK to Egypt. Now I cannot update my apps. How do I get back onto the UK store?

It seems that in a case like this you'd need to reset the device to factory settings and then restore from iCloud backup.
Sadly the reset to factory settings could cause more trouble than its worth.
Apple's iCloud backup, could, but does not let the user restore one app or its data.
You'll also find that even though that App's data is in the cloud, you as its owner do not have access to it.

You have Jailbroken your device. Apple does not support Jailbreaking and as such having done so has voided your warranty and forfeited any support from Apple and by extension these forums. We are not allowed to discuss Jailbroken devices in any way by the Terms of Service of the forum.
You will have to find help elsewhere. Ask the person that installed Cydia to restore the phone.

I recently browsed iTunes UK and now can't get back to iTunes US version. I restarted my Mac and whenever I open iTunes store it is the UK version. I can't open an account there because it won't let me use by email address twice.

And, this password changing is madness. Everytime I sign in iTunes doesn't recognize my password and so I have to get a new one even though I've answered the useless security questions. Funny how this seems to be one of the most-asked questions on the Internet. In most cases, no answer is ever checked as "Correct," either. Most answers, as on this page, say to click the flag at the bottom right-hand corner of any store page. The problem? There's only one flag!!! And it's the one of the country we don't want to be in!!!
Just in case this helps someone: what worked for me was to sign in. It then told me my id was not valid for this country, and switched me back to the US. How I was ever able to buy something from the UK store in the first place is beyond me.
By the way, Apple, experiences like this, and many, many other horrible ones with iTunes, is why those of us who do not live in the Apple world continue to stick to their Microsoft PCs.

Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

You can't. When you restore from a backup it will restore everything in the backup. You might be able to find a third party app that will allow you to extract individual files from an iTunes backup, but not with an iCloud backup.

thanks ..I wish the iPad had an easier way of deselecting a switch to another store. I was searching for a newspaper app and it advised me to switch stores, so I tapped into a switch. I wasn't able to download the app. as this store was restricting Australian access as it turned out. My mac is only a year old. I am still under warranty but don't want to have to go to the store. I know it has something to do with not connecting to my hard drive and I want to make it clear that IT HAS NOT BEEN DROPED,BANGED OR DAMAGED IN ANY WAY!!
Here is what I have tried so far:
For safe start The loading bar shows up but then doesn't load. After a few seconds it disappears and the wheel continues to spin.
I have tried PRAM but it doesn't help at all.
The only way I can get it off the start off page is to either go to fsck or Mac OS utilites.
Fsck comes up as an error message for me when I put in fsck -FY. /sbin/fsck -FY also doesn't work.
Mac OS utilities really also doesn't much. When I try to back up my hard drive it recognizes the external drive but then has no where to put it to??? So then I tried reinstalling the lion software part bit it won't allow me because for some reason it is locked. So I also try to verify and repair my drive. An error message comes up so I know there is something wrong. But not what to do about it. So now I am here on the Internet.

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPad, and sign into your account again.

It depends on your luck how much you'll get back depending upon the overwriting that has been done on the hard drive by recovery.
These tools are decent ones you could try upon:

Each file has certain level of recovery success & you'll get either the whole for as it is or with some corruption.
Connect an external drive or USB to copy or save all the recovered files on to, must be large enough for them.
Or if you have different partition in your hard drive you can copy the files on to that from system.

1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Reset Password from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Reset Password.
Or do you have Firmware Password Protection set up?
