I removed a device, how do I add it back?
Once you remove a device, it will automatically be added again the next time the device connects to the Internet, as long as your iCloud membername and password are configured on the device under iCloud Settings > General. If this does not occur, see the "iPhone, iPad, Mac or iPod touch does not appear in Find My iPhone" section above.

Is the iPod still singed into the account isn Settings>iTunes and App Stores and SettingsZ>iCloudl? If it is then I would not be concerned.
    Also see:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
since you may have started the 90 day window.
For the other "problem", go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says Prevent iPod....automatically syncing.

To Disassociate your phone from your apple account, please go to https://supportprofile.apple.com
After signing in with your apple id, you should see your registered products under "My Products" tab.
Hit "Edit Products" and then "Disassociate" accordingly.
    Hope it helps.

  • How do I remove previous device from iCloud account? (It is removed from Find My iPhone and iCloud Backup)

I recently got a new iPhone and traded in my old one. At the store, the representatives erased the contents and settings of the old phone (though they did run into some difficulties because of a pre-installed profile and I think were successful after a few attempts) and removed the SIM card. However, the old device keeps showing up on my iCloud account. I removed it from Find My iPhone and deleted the stored backup for the phone, but it's still there. I've talked with Apple Support about it as well as called the store on what I should do. Apple cannot remove the device on my account for me (which is fair), but I think it's strange that I can't remove my own device either. It won't give me any option to.
The Apple people reassure me not to worry and that everything is probably "fine", but I don't like this uneasy feeling that my iCloud account (and who knows what other data) might have an open connection or hole somewhere that I'm not aware about.
    Please help!

Some people I've talked to speculated (but could not confirm) that this "glitch" would be fixed once someone registered their own iCloud account to the old device; this would force the old device to be removed from my iCloud account and transferred to the new user. How long have you been experiencing this "glitch"? I'm guessing if Apple calls it a glitch on iCloud, it won't be fixed any time soon...

  • Removing a device from iCloud

this may be the millionth time this question has come up, I have looked and seen variations of my question but none that have answered or have given a solution to my problem.
Ive recently purchased the i6 and my i5s is still showing in my iCloud account. The problem I am running into is that when I want to use iCloud Key chain my old stateside number is the one that keeps getting used to authorized.
I have gone into my phone settings to look to change the number but its not in any places that seem obvious for me to look. In my iCloud account I am also unable to locate where I can change this.
when  go to the iCloud account it shows all of my devices, Mac, i5C and i6... I am not using the 5C any longer and i believed I  had reset it back to factory settings as i plan on giving it to my poor wife who got stuck with an HTC anyhow please help, it very well can be I'm looking in the right place and not recognising it.
    Thank you very much

Remove it from where exactly ?
If its backup then you should be able to do it in a device via Settings > General > Storage > Manage Storage > 'device'
If you want to want to log it out of your iCloud account then you can do it directly on the device > Settings > iCloud > Sign Out (or Delete Account depending upon its iOS version). Or if you have Find My iPhone enabled on it then you can log into your account in http://www.icloud.com and send a remote wipe message to the phone to put remove all content from it

  • How do I remove a device from iCloud?

Ok, this is definitely a new issue that I've experienced that I haven't seen before:
I recently sync'd my friend's iPhone 4S to my computer so he would have some music on his device. He hasn't created an Apple ID yet, and I made sure that I did not sign into his device with my Apple ID. However, now he gets notifications sent to him asking if he wants to download a song I recently downloaded on my iPad! Of course he can't because he doesn't know my Apple ID or it's password, but he's tired of getting notifications each time I download a song to my device.
I did go to www.icloud.com/find to see if his device is listed, but it's not there, so I'm not sure what to do here.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

    Hi Michael,
I have recently upgraded the iphone. After setting up and checking my account i discoverd that my old phones contents in the icloud were still there. This takes up 2.2g of space. I have tried to delete the account from the old iphone, deactivated from itunes and also tried to delete from icloud dashboard. It just responds with an unknown error and to try later.
    Any suggestions?
    Hope you can help!
    Thank you.

  • Can't remove old devices from icloud

3 devices that I have sold are still showing up in my Icloud -> Settings -> My Devices, and doesn't give me the option to remove them.  How can I remove them?

I'd wait a while.  A number of people have complained about this and I suspect Apple will find a way to remove them (such as by removing them automatically after a certain period of inactivity).
You can help influence this by providing your feedback here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html.

  • Remove a device from icloud account

If I gave away an ipod touch to a friend and wiped it clean, will it still be on my icloud account?

    If y do this:
What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    the iPoid will be erased.
The iCloud and iTunes accunt still existe since that are based on the creator, not on any device.

  • How can I delete an old device from icloud

I need to remove my old iPhone 5 from icloud, but every forum i see, the descriptions don't match my experience on icloud.com.  I can't get to Products or Manage by Devices, where I can remove the device. I don't have my device.  I am looking to do this on icloud.com

    Hey sharb830,
You should be able to remove iCloud from a device from there but would need to be erased. If you can get the device to erase then you will not see the option to remove the device from iCloud. For more information take a look at the article below.

  • TS4036 I accidentally removed my iPhone  device from icloud backup, how do I get it back

I was trying to clean up my backup as a message told me I was getting close to full. I accidentally removed my iPhone off iCloud backup. Can someone tell me how to get it back on please

Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, turn iCloud Backup to On to start backing up to iCloud again.  If your device isn't listed under Backups, you don't have one.  To see it listed again, create an iCloud backup, either by connect to your charger and wifi, locking the screen and waiting; or by tapping Back Up Now.

  • How can I remove a device from my iCloud/Apple ID?

    Hi,
I merged my dad's iphone to my Apple ID a while back because he wants to buy an app and I have some credit left over so I let him used my ID on his device. Apparently, all my contacts, pictures from photo stream, and ical are now also in his device. And all his contacts, pictures, and ical are on mines. How can I remove his device from my icloud and Apple ID WITHOUT deleting anything? Like I just don't want him to get anymore of my reminders and contacts, and pictures? Because I'm afraid taht if I remove his iphone on my icloud, all the pictures/contacts/ical that he took and went to my device too will be deleted because those are some important pictures/contacts/ical?
I tried to manually delete some of my dad's contacts that was shared on my phone, it turns out that it got deleted on his phone as well and vice versa. How can I just completely cut him off of my icloud and ID without losing any of my and his contacts/pics/etc?

Not unless she knows your Apple ID/Password...or her new BF is good at forensics.
What can i do to prevent icloud-backup to this pc???
Same as my last answer...good luck.

  • How do I remove a device from my iCloud account?

Hi, my daughters iphone is connected to my icloud account.
How do I remove her device from that account?
    Thanks.

If you mean that she is sharing your iCloud account and you want to migrate her phone to a separate account, start by saving any photo stream photos she wants to keep on her phone to her camera roll (unless already there) by opening her my photo stream album, tapping Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll.  If she is syncing notes with iCloud, you will need to open each one and email them to her so she can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in her new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from her phone, not from iCloud; your device will not be effected by this), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create her new account and choose Merge to upload her data.
Once your devices are on different accounts you can each go to icloud.com from your computer and delete the other person's data from your account.

  • I have removed my iPhone from icloud and it is no longer on the device list however I can still see it in icloud settings

I have taken my smashed (unusable) iPhone into apple for repair today and followed their instructions beforehand, removing the phone from icloud through my PC. However the guy at apple could not do anything as he said it was still connected to i cloud. On checking my account, my phone is no longer on the device list but can still be seen in icloud settings. He was stumped and asked if I had set up another apple id and maybe forgotten about it (I definitely haven't, I've had the same account for 6 years,) his other explanation was a technical glitch. I'm now stuck with a broken phone and a £60.00 a month bill and also pretty annoyed about the wasted 3.5 hour round trip. Any ideas please?  It would be much appreciated

    Hello
Try restoring the device and setting up as new.
If it is still shows an iCloud activation lock, then it's on an iCloud account
The wrong device was removed from an iCloud account.
Check any other Apple IDs you might have at
                 iCloud.com
Get signed into them and remove that device.
I wish this was the first time I seen this.
    Best of Luck

  • How do I remove device from icloud it was traded in and wiped but still listed as a device

I Traded in my iPhone 5 at Verizon store on 9/20 for the iPhone 6 and watched the phone being wiped before heading home with new phone. However, when I checked icloud.com today it still shows the device in device list. Tried a find my phone but all that shows up is my iPhone 6 & iPad. Any idea how to remove device from iCloud!

The songs I don't want aren't checked and haven't been for a long time. You would think that would be the answer, but it isn't for some reason.Nothing has taken the songs away. Songs that I have deleted from iTunes and even the computer still stayed on the phone as well as songs that were NOT checked. In addition to albums I have NEVER downloaded... unless many, many, years ago and have no recolection of it. And they are NOT in my iTunes library or stored on the computer. And I don't have iTunes match. I've also restored the iPhone this afternoon. Still have the songs! And I haven't even signed into iCloud since the restore... which I lost all of my recent contacts during, but that was my fault for not checking to make sure I synced them before restoring.
