Accidently deleted Mac App Store

How do I get the Mac App Store back when I am on Mac OS X 10.6.7?

I don't think that someone would just accidently delete the Mac App Store. If you just took it out of your dock, then it's in your applications folder, but if for some reason it's not there because you deleted it,then you probably need to just wait until the next firmware update of snow leopard releases until your system can be patched up by it or you can try to get the application off of a download, but I don't recommend because of the reason that it would be a third party download and I think that the Apple Mac App Store has extensions installed on your Mac partition.Try finding the application online and see if you can get it via a third party, but again,I don't recommend it and hopefully you didn't "accidently" delete any of it's extensions either.

I have accidently deleted the App store icon off my home page, how do I get it back do I nave to re download??

Swipe through your screens and swipe to the left of your Home screen. Type in App Store in the search field. It's a permanent pre installed Apple app so it can't be deleted.
If you can't locate it on the iPad for some reason, connect the device to your computer. Right or control click the iPad under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click: Restore from backup

  • HT1977 I did this and a bar showed up at the bottom and now I cant click on the apps and cant transfer them. Please help because I have accidently deleted the App store from my i pad 1. I am not very technoligically advanced so please respond in a noncomp

I synced my ipad to my itunes store on my computer and a bar showed up on the bottom of the screen showing how many gigabytes i was using. Now i cant click on the screen to move the app from itunes to my ipad for some reason, or my movies/ music for that matter either. The real reason i am doing this is because i accidently erased the app store and dont want to erase all the apps i already have on their. So if someone can help me get the app store or fix the syncing problem that would be great because i use it for school which requires certain app be installed. Please respond quickly!

  • I accidentally deleted mac app store on osx lion...is there any way to reinstall it?

It wasn't logging on properly...so I thought that I could just delete and reinstall the app store. However, I was sadly mistaken. Any help on the topic?

I tried everything I could think of (delving into the recovery partition, searching through the later updates to Snow Leopard), but everything I found was lower than App Store.app version 1.1.1, and wouldn't launch. Reinstalling Lion may be your only option, although if the recovery partition doesn't have it, then I don't know how it'd bring it back. … and if you don't have the App Store, you can't redownload the Lion install that would allow you to reinstall Lion the same way as before. I'd upload my copy to Dropbox or something, but I figure that would probably break some rule (also, you wouldn't know if that was actually it or some malware).
If you have a Time Machine backup you can restore it from that. You can try what reinstall/repair options the recovery partition provides, but apart from that… you may have to resort to shadier sites.

  • HT6114 Help, I accidently deleted the app store

As a result I cant do updates, find my contacts, calendar, etc. How can I reinstall?  I'm currently running OS X 10.9.2 on my Macbook Pro that I purchased a little over a year ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you actually delete it from your Applications folder or just the Dock? Check to see if it's still in Applications. If it's not there you could try downloading and re-installing the 10.9.2 Combo installer in the hope that will re-instate the App Store:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1726
Not sure why you can't find your contacts and calendar though as they are separate apps - also check your Applications folder for those apps - maybe it's just the Dock they're missing from.
It's OK to re-install over your existing version of 10.9.2, but I'd recommend you have full backup that you can restore from should things take a turn for the worse (they shouldn't, but it's always a good idea to have a recovery plan in place before you need one).

  • Is there a way to permanetly delete an app from Mac App Store Purchases, (not just hide it)?

  • Accidentally deleted an App Store app.  how can I get the icon back on my home screen?  when I search for it in the App Store it comes up 'open'. thanks.

accidently deleted an app Store app.  how can I get the icon back on my home screen?  in the app store it comes up 'open' instead of install.

What happens if you tap on open?
Remember, if you ever want to find an app quickly, you can slide all the way to the left (iOS 6 and lower) or pull down (iOS 7 and later) to get to an app.
If you know for certain that you have deleated the app, please try restarting your phone. There are many ways to do this, but the safest way would be to hold down the power button and then slide to power down.
Once powered down, restart and try to find the icon on your screen. If you still can't find it, go into the App Store and then find the app you were trying to access. It should have an iCloud download symbol since you've purchased it before, rather than saying "install."

  • Dual-boot Lion/SL, Mac App Store has Conflict

I decided to dual-boot my MBP17" (8,3) with SL to add OS Lion.
In Lion when I signed in to the Mac App store, it recognized apps on the SL partition, and wouldn't let me download them for Lion! It only allows for updates!
Suggestions on dealing with this, besides deleting Mac App store apps from my SL partition?

I've not tried this, but I think it shoud work.
When you want to get something from the App store, boot from the Lion partition and unmount the Snow Leopard partition.  It will be as if you have only a single boot machine.
Open Disk Utility, select the Snow Leopard partition and chose the "unmount" option.  At that point the OS can access nothing on the unmounted partition.  To get it back (mount it), you can either reboot or again use Disk Utility and select the unmounted partition and choose Mount.

In Lion when I signed in to the Mac App store, it recognized apps on the SL partition, and wouldn't let me download them for Lion! It only allows for updates!
Suggestions on dealing with this, besides deleting Mac App store apps from my SL partition?

Many apps are "self-contained" and so can run from any partition.  So you could just move the apps to one location so that you can run and update them from either.  (As long as the apps did NOT have to be "installed".)
So you partitioned your one internal hard drive?  You could also install OSX to an external hard drive.  Then turn of that hard drive when not booted to it.
Is there some old apps you need, which is why you must still use SL?  If so, SL that is what I would put on the external hard drive.  Since it is apps you wouldn't be able to update anyway, putting SL on the external drive just for the things that can't run in Lion makes sense, since you can turn it off when not needed.  Otherwise, if you're holding on to SL "just in case", then eventually I suggest to take the leap and move completely over to Lion when you're ready, which obviously removes the need to dual boot.
(I realize you have a Macbook Pro, so an external HD is not ideal.  But there are many physically small HDs that aren't too inconvinient, especially if you get a Firewire bus powered drive.  And you have a 17" MBP so I'm assuming size and weight aren't an absolute, top-most, high-ranking priority. )

  • My Mid-2011 Macbook Air becomes extremely hot when installing apps from the Mac App Store and when deleting apps

My Mid-2011 Macbook Air 13-inch (OSX 10.8.1 Mountain Lion) becomes hot to the touch when trying to delete large documents, watching videos after waking it from sleep-mode and when installing applications from the Mac App Store. This has also been happening with OSX Lion before I upgraded it to Mountain Lion.

What needed to be done the day that you set up the new Mac was go into the Mac App Store (MAS), sign into your iTunes/MAS Apple ID, go to the Purchases pane and Accept the iLife apps that would have been there in a special section. That would have sent you Mac's unique identifier code to Apple's servers and verified that this Mac was eligible for the bundled iLife suite and then registered these apps into your MAS account.
You might try going to  ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/adoption.plist, delete the adption plist, restart the Mac and then go to the Purchaes pane and see if you can Accept the apps into your account.

  • How do I download Mac App Store to my MacBook Pro. Somehow, it was deleted

Somehow, Mac App Store has been deleted from my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X version 10.6.8)
How do I download this back to my MacBook Pro?

Yes it is. I have a Mac Book Pro and trying to open Mac App Store. It won't open and isn't even listed under my applications. Apparently, I deleted it some time ago by mistake. I'm trying to somehow download the app for it again. I can't seem to find the app to even download it. Can you help? I'm sorry if I caused you trouble, or if my question wasn't clear.

  • How can I delete a app from the Mac App Store completely?

I have a apllication which had a error. I delete it and download the app from the Mac App Store again, but the error wasn't delete. My iMac had stored it and the Error wasn't deleted so I can't youse the app.
What can I do to delete the app complete?
    Please answer.

If your App was faulty in some way you should write to iTunes support.   If you simply want to delete it, most Apps carry uninstall (not delete) instructions.
Incidentally, I believe you cannot delete the record of your purchase from iTunes.   That will always stay on your purchases list and be marked with a dark grey square as INSTALL..

  • Mac App Store won't allow re-downloading of deleted apps

I am experiencing very glitchy behaviour with the Mac App Store.  The store can't tell when individual apps are deleted, and therefore won't allow re-download.  This has been going on for a while - when I click on the Purchases tab all Apps are still listed as Installed and the button is greyed out - I can't click to re-download.  At the same time, an app that I previously did download and later removed called Cobook won't delete from the computer - after a few minutes to an hour it will re-appear in my Applications folder.
I have done a clean re-install of Mountain Lion trying to fix this problem, however the same problem exists even after a re-install - Apps that had been deleted prior to the clean install are still greyed out in the Purchases tab, and can't be re-downloaded.  The only way that Apps can be re-installed is to use Time Machine backup.  I am concerned that this means that updates also aren't working, since the App Store doesn't seem to know what Apps are on my computer and which ones aren't.
Yes I am using the correct Apple ID assocaited with the purchases.  My purchase history shows up just fine in the Purchases tab, its just that they are stuck showing that they are currently installed, even the ones that aren't.
    Mountain Lion 10.8.2, 21.5" iMac (mid-2011).

The problem is possibly worse than I expected.  Since the clean re-install, now any App purchased and downloaded via App Store won't appear in the Purchases tab.  So in other words, although the download seems to work correctly, and the app works, the App Store seems to lose all track of it.  Which is a problem for paid apps.
