Accidently Deleted Photos in iOS 8

Photostream is no longer there, but there is a new folder called "Recently Added". I thought it contained aliases of the actual photos in the Photo tab at the bottom (which takes the place of "Camera Roll"). SO ... I deleted a series of pictures out of "Recently Added" thinking that the originals would remain in "Photo" (tab).
BUT NO ... those pictures were completed deleted from the Photo (tab) too. Fortunately there is another new folder called "Recently Deleted" and I was able to get those pictures back again.
this is just a WARNING for people, about how that works!

I accidently deleted photos is there anyway of retrieving.

You can restore from a backup in order to retrieve tha photos - assuming that the photos are in the camera roll and that you have backed up the iPad since you saved or took those photos.

  • Retrieving deleted photos from iOS 8

Is there a way to retrieve deleted photos after downloading iOS 8? I have iCloud but I do not know how to access it. I am not technical at all so any instructions are greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem. I plug in my iPhone 5s and all my photos were in the folder with pictures but I had more than a half less in my gallery on phone. If you have backup of all your photos on laptop, you can sync them to your phone via iTunes but you can't delete them when they are on your phone. I tried.

  • Accidently deleted photos

Hi. I bought a new iPod Touch 4g. Then I took some photos, something aroud 100. When I connected to my PC for the first time to sync some songs, I accidently restored a backup from another iPod (1g) I have. And all my photos, videos, Safari history, everything was gone. Is there any way to recover all the photos i took before I connected to my PC?
p.s.: I activated my iPod at an Apple Store, in the day I bought it.
    Thanks.

Unless the photos were synced/copied to your computer when you first connected it to your computer the photos are gone. When you connect an iPod with new photos, a photo transfer program should open offering you the option to import the photos to your computer and at the end offer you the option to delete them from your iPod.

  • HT204022 how to delete photos with ios 6

Ok so i just updated my Ipod touch 4g to IOS 6 and I didnt know that having iCloud would download all of my photos from my computer to iPod, and there is now 2500+ pictures on the ipod and i have no space for music, apps ext. How do i delete them form my Ipod?!?!

In itunes, the Photos tab, can't you turn off syncing?  Doing so will remove photos from the device.

  • Add / Delete Photos from iOS device

Why won't iPhoto allow me to manage my iOS devices (iPad2, iPhone 4) like an external drive where I can Drag & Drop files into the deivce from my MacBook Air laptop - or, highlight a photo / video file on the iOS device in the iPhoto Browser and click "Delete"??!!
Currently I see that iPhoto will take images OFF the iOS device (placing them on my laptop using DROPBOX???????? Why?), but I cannot place an image ONTO the phone from my laptop with Drag & Drop, NOR can I highlight an image in the "Device" gallery from iPhoto and simply click "Delete".
    Should be simple enough.

    From the iPhoto help:
Sync photos and video clips using iTunes
Connect your iOS device to your computer.Note:  If Wi-Fi syncing is on in iTunes, you don’t need to connect the device to your computer, but they both need to be on the same Wi-Fi network, and the computer needs to be on. For more information on Wi-Fi syncing with iTunes, see your device’s user guide.
In iTunes, select your device (below Devices), and click Photos at the top of the window.
Select “Sync Photos from” and select the photos you want to sync to your device. On a Mac, selecting an album or event organizes the photos as an album or event in iPhoto. On a Windows computer, selecting a folder organizes the photos as an album in iPhoto.
If you want to sync video clips, select the “Include videos” checkbox.
    Click Apply, and click Sync.
When the sync is complete, click next to your device, and disconnect your device.

  • Transferring and Deleting photos from iOs Devices with iCloud Photo Library

So when there was iPhoto for iOs, it was easy to transfer the folders that I made on my iOs device and then delete those photos using iPhoto for iOs. Now it doesn't seem that easy (when you have a ton of photos on the device.) So has anyone found an easy way to transfer all the photos from a folder and then delete all those photos off of the device once they are transferred?

Regardless about what else is going on here or the questions you have -- the absolute first thing to know is that if you choose to use "iCloud Photo Library" then you are a "beta tester" who is using a beta service ... namely one that is NOT RELEASED as final or stable. In other words, you cannot depend on it working or keeping your photos.
THEN the other thing you should realize is that if you use this beta service, then you have turned off your "iCloud Backup" for all yours photos. In other words iCloud will NO LONGER back up your photos.
All in all the above means that BEFORE you even attempt to use iCloud Photo Library, you better have all your photos backed up to an alternate and outside service or facility (apart from Apple) ... because that will be the only effective backup you will have for your photos.
You might look into Dropbox as that works well for me.

  • I accidently deleted photos from my device. Can these photos still by on my Icloud storage?

I deleted a bank of photos from my device but realized that I needed them. Do these photos still remain on my icloud storage? If so, how do I obtain them?

iCloud syncs with your device.  You delete a Pages file on the device, then it is deleted in iCloud.  There's no way I can think of for retrieving it unless you had downloaded the file to your mac/pc.  It should still be there.

  • I accidently deleted photos.  Where can I retrieve from Time Machine?

I was trying to delete some graphic images that had somehow gotten downloaded into iPhoto, and ended up deleting the entire library. They aren't in the iPhoto trash. Where can I go in the Time Machine to retrieve the photos? I don't know where they are stored? Any ideas? Thank you for help!

    This should work:
    Open iPhoto
    Click File
At the bottom of the file menu click on "browse backups"
This opens up time machine, so you can look for your photos there.
    Hope this helps.

  • N95 Accidently deleted photos PLEASE HELP!!

I marked all of my photos on my N95, then unmarked the ones I did not want to send to my computer via bluetooth.
I then wanted to delete a photo but wasn't paying attention and I deleted all of the marked photos before I had a chance to transfer them to my computer.
Is there any way I can get these pictures back?? I have not taken any other photos since.
    ADVICE APPRECIATED!!

Do they usually save straight to the memory card? or do you have to select it as an option? I haven't done anything special I just didn't delete the photos straight after taking them and they were saved whever they were set to.
I have a SD card that the phones card fits into and there is a slot for it in my laptop so does that mean I can put the card staight into the computer and find out what is on it?
(obviously quite new at this technology!! the phone and the laptop!!)

  • Recoveing Accidently Deleted Photos from Camera Raw

    hello there,
I was preping some photos in camera raw and decided not to edit some of the images so i deleted them on the left side preview on camera raw... now they are gone completly and cannot find them anywhere.  Not in the trash.  I thought i remembered in the older version of adobe camera raw that if you deleted on there the image remained on the drive sorce?  thanks so much.  Chris

In all the time i've used camera raw i never knew about that and am really surprised that adobe would put something like in the camera raw dialog.
I just tried on 3 raw photos inside camera raw on a windows 8 os with photoshop cs6 and acr 7.3 and after i hit the delete key, the message says Image will be moved to trash.
After closing camera raw, the 3 photos were in the recycle bin.
Not that it helps your situation.
