Accordion widget footer open upwards - Adobe Muse - Help!

I created an accordion widget footer that opens upwards by pinning the widget to the bottom of the browser -- like so: http://310ai.businesscatalyst.com/retail.html
However, my goal is for the footer to be open by default, and to collapse back down to the bottom of the page on click. I had created this, (it worked!) and it collapsed beautifully just like the above link does after you open it. But I am unable to duplicate those results. Can someone help us figure out how to make this widget behave consistently? Thank you!

You are facing this is issue because Composition widget was not collapsed. Please collapse the widget as the screenshot below and you will be all set.
First pic shows how it should be and second image shows its worng state.

Thank you Zak for your help, I spent 5 hours going round in circles trying to fix that problem and that's all I needed to hear, a bit of honesty and integrity.and yes, Adobes terrible customer service has still not got back to after promising 2 level technical support to contact me last Monday, I wish there'd keep their promise
Pamela, did you try my test website or my own website and if so my own has now no accordion widget on it and my test website may need you to try loading a few times to see if it really works or not, sometimes it does actually work even on a pc but most times not.

My Muse file won't open: "This Adobe Muse site file requires a newer version of Adobe Muse. Please update to the latest version."

My final project for this quarter in a web design class is due in less than a week. And suddenly, after months of working with this exact file, it won't open. I'm trying to open it in CC (newest version of Muse) at school. At home, I downloaded a trial version of it. I would think the trial version would be the absolute newest version..and even if it wasn't, why can't the even newer version open it? PLEASE help me. And, what do I do if my trial version has expired (I'm not home right now, so I can't check..) and I can't open it to fix it (if that's what I needed to do..)?
Note: at school we have CC, always updated. At home I have CS6, but downloaded a trial version of Muse. So, I would think the trial version would be the newest and CC not CS6. I don't know, though!
Note: is there a way to extend my trial version for, like, an hour, to retrieve this file? It would absolutely suck if I can't get it back now. I've spent a long time on this.

Could you please send me the muse file to [email protected] along with a link to this thread. If they're larger than 20Mb you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc.

I was using Adobe Muse to update web page and it said it needed an update. I exited from the update as I was in the middle of making website changes. Now Muse won't open. It says it is open in Mac Dock at bottom of screen, but its not. Can't get it to force quit either! Help.

I would suggest you to reboot the machine. Once rebooted please launch Creative Cloud desktop application and go to Apps tab.
It will show you the update available for Muse. Update muse and try to launch it from Creative cloud or Applications Folder.

Get accordion widget to open on mouseover

Greetings,
I am using an accordion widget for a navigation bar and would
really like to have the panels open when the header tabs are
moused-over rather than when clicked. Does anyone know of a way to
make this happen?
Is there some way I can change the javascript (or something
else?) to get this to work? Any help would be much appreciated.

Header and Footer Items in Adobe Muse? Also Menu text being cut off half way.

How can I make the header and footer items load faster in Adobe Muse? I am hosting with Business Catalyst. Everything else loads almost immediatly on my web page, but my Header and Footer graphic- wood grain picture- take almost 10 seconds to load, and almost a minute to load on mobile devices.
As well, my menu's are not loading correctly on other peoples devices. On my lap top everything looks fine, but on other peoples devices the text in my menus is only loading half way? -only shows half the text.

Hello,
It seems to be an issue with the Font that you have used.
You have used Bubble-one font and if you check this font in Google Chrome it is cut off and if you check in Firefox, it comes up fine.
Please have a look at this link in Google Chrome and Firefox and you will see the difference : http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Bubbler+One
I would suggest you to use some other font in order to fix it.

Id like to be able to place an anchor inside the accordion widget that opens the accordion to that anchor .

i have created a page with a very long accordion widget over 70 entries! its a staff list and the accordion rivals each persons bio. but what I need is when some clicks on a link person name on another page I want it to go to that accordion tab and open the accordion to rival the bio

Is it possible to make the top tab in the accordion widget remain open constantly?

I'm looking to use the accordion widget as a secondary navigation in my site's sub pages. I've noticed other websites doing this successfully and one site inparticular has their top accordion panel always open.
This allows them to have their three main calls to action always accessible for the visitors to select.
I've tried implementing this but it doesn't seem to be possible?
Is there any way to access the code for the widget to see if I can tweak this to work?

Can't publish to Business Catalyst - Adobe Muse - Help!

I'm getting this message when I try to publish my Muse site to Business Catalyst. It was just working, and this dialogue won't accept my password. (Then I logged out, changed my password, and still won't accept the new password.)

Most of the MUSE users face this issue when they change their primary id of BUSINESS CATALYST or Adobe ID.
Go to Adobe Business Catalyst site and click on "Get Started for free", click on "Sign In", if Signed in successfully, try to publish from MUSE again
If problem remains same , you need to contact BC Help & support , Go to Live Chat option and let them know your problem.

I can't open my adobe muse.

My website is just fine online so it's something with Adobe. The message "Delete File Error 3001 Wrong format or user file not found - fileA" comes up. I've not moved anything so I don't know what it could be.

Remove the "Recovery" folder found in:
Mac: "~/Library/Preferences/AdobeMuse/Local Store" (copy and paste into the Go > Go To Folder dialog in the Finder)
Windows: "%appdata%/AdobeMuse/Local Store" (copy and paste into a file explorer window)
In both cases above, include everything between the quotes in the copy/paste, but not the quotes themselves.

Automatically Animating Spry Accordion Widget on Page Load

I've been searching and searching and still can't find a clue
as how to make the Spry Accordion Widget automatically open the
next panel. I want the panels to expand automatically and loop back
at the last panel.
Do I need to create another function for this or is there
already a function created in the .js file?
Any help is appreciated...even if you can point me in the
right direction.

Sounds more like you'd want sliding panels:

I've seen an automatic version created that might do what you
want:

But if you really want an Accordion, then you might be able

Accordion widget - Toggling the Panel?

I know this is probably simple but...
1) How do I make the Accordion widget Panels "Open &
Close" by clicking on the same Panel twice?
What I mean is that my Accordion Panel works fine &
"Opens" when clicked once, but will not "Close" when clicked again?
(I want to be able to quickly open & close selected
panels at ease)
2) How do I apply a CSS to the Accordion without affecting
the original CSS style?
Earlier when went in to the Accodion.css file & started
making changes, it messed up the Accordion itself & I could not
get back to it's original look?

In regards to using Accordions & Panels, it would really
help to see a video tutorial on the workshop site that shows how to
use ADDT Forms & Lists with SPRY widgets like the Collapsible
Panel. Many of us are a bit unclear on how to target links between
the two and general integration of the two.
For example:
- What is the sequence?
1. Create a Blank DW page
2. Add the SPRY Panel
3. then ADDT records/Forms?
Or
1. Create a Blank DW page
2. Add the ADDT records/Forms
3. Add the SPRY panels, etc?
Also, From an RIA point of view it seems like the purpose of
AJAX is to get rid of all the "screen/page changes". Can you help
us understand for example, the process of converting regular
dynamic forms (via ADDT or otherwise) that have many pages, to AJAX
enabled links that point to Panels, Tabs & Accordions instead?

Windows Firewall has blocked Adobe Muse

I open Adobe Muse for the first time and I'm trying to use it, after going thru some updates and questions I get Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this program. Does Adobe Muse need to have an Internet or network connection for anything at all before I publish? the Publisher is Unknown according to the alert I get from Windows. Do I need to check the box for Private networks or Public networks, I couldn't find anything related to it on Adobe Help and when I searched for Firewall on Adobe Muse Help I get results for other applications instead that I don't use like Flash Media Encoder.

Yes, you would need to tick both the checkboxes and click Allow Access after that.

I am receiving the 'Could not sign you in [Access denied: 530]. Check your user name and password' problem on Adobe Muse CC 2014 and I cannot access the xml file that is supposed to fix this issue?

I am a PC user and I have Adobe Creative Cloud Muse 2014. I have received the 'Could not sign you in [Access denied: 530]. Check your user name and password' error when trying to upload my muse site to my ftp host, GoDaddy. I have successfully done this in the past and only recently it has stopped working. I looked online at the FAQ Adobe Muse Help | Uploading an Adobe Muse Site to a third-party hosting service and it said to download the ftpprefs.xml file but this file simply leads to a blank page that says /*Not found*//*Not found*/.
Can someone direct me to a working page with this file or provide a different solution? Thank you!

As you are getting error [Access denied: 530] it means issue is with access. Either the username and password you are entering is incorrect or you do not have proper permissions.
I would suggest you to contact Godaddy to either reset password or reset the permissions.

How to create a Blog in Adobe Muse

Hi, who created a blog in Adobe Muse, help me please!

Unfortunately, you can't create a blog in Muse, not yet anyway. I've been researching this for a long time, and you just can't do it. If enough folks ask Adobe for it, then it will probably be added to a future update. For now, the only thing you can do is get the embedd code from an actual blog like Tumblr or Nabble, and then copy that bit of code using "insert HTML" on your Muse page. That will give you a generic looking little scrolling box with your latest blog entries, but it's probably not what you're looking for.
What I've decided to do is create a custom blog in Blogger, make it look as close to my Muse site as I can, and then just link it into my Muse site using a custom nav button. So I redirect my visitors to the Blogger site. If you customize the Blogger page enough with background images, colors, fonts, etc, your visitors may not even know they left your site unless the look in their browsers address bar.
I hope that's helpful. But if you're not familiar with Blogger, it's through Google, it's free, and it's a great blogging platform.
