Account blocked for phone calls

I have a regular account and I can use it without any problems for Internet based communication. When I try to call via phone, I get a message that my account is blocked.
I still have credit left on my account, so not having credit does not seem to be the reason. Any possible explanations why this is happening?

you may need to contact customer service, here's how;

  • Skype account released, but phone calls still not ...

    Hello,
My Skype account ([Removed for privacy]) was rencently suspended and after I provided verification information it has been released. Skype to Skype calls now work fine. However, when I try to call a (cell/landline) phone from my Skype, I get a message that says "Account blocked".
I have a Skype credit and 1 subscription, however I see a warning that says "You are currently restricted from purchasing services or redeeming vouchers. Please contact Customer Support to review your account status."
Can you, please, explain what I need to do to unblock my account to allow phone calls from Skype
    Thanks!

  • IPhone 3GS - Can I use existing US t-mobile SIM and German O2 SIM cards (for phone calls) without buying a data plan?

I currently use 2 phones to make calls: one t-mobile locked phone for the US and one O2 locked phone for Germany, both without data plan.
Can I upgrade using just one phone (factory unlocked iPhone 3GS)  and continue to use the existing SIM cards for phone calls (just switching the SIM cards when necessary), but use free WIFI spots worldwide for internet access/data transfer?
    Thanks Michael

No supported carrier, including T-Mobile in the U.S., permits the use of an iPhone without a data plan. Though it's technically possible to do it, if and when they find you, they will either charge you for a data plan or shut down your account.

  • Blocking Anonymous Phone Calls

How can I block anonymous phone calls in Tampa, FL?

I don't think you can block those numbers with the free blocking option, but you can block them with Usage Controls, which will allow you to block up to 20 numbers, including Restricted numbers, 411, and "000-000-0000."  It costs $4.99 per line. It has other features as well.:

If you don't want to pay for the service, you could just not answer and/or send the calls to voice mail; maybe after a few attempts they'll quit calling.
    Good luck!

  • My ringer is no longer working for text and email notifications. Only working for phone calls. I have gone through all the settings to see where something is off. Not finding anything. I have tried changing the tone and it just vibrates on everything.

Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

  • How to set iPhone Bluetooth to be just for phone calls?

Is there a way to setup an iPhone 4s/5, iOS 6, to use the bluetooth only for phone calls?
I don't want music, youtube, google maps, or any app to go thru my car speakers. Phone calls work fine because the car will switch to Bluetooth audio automatically for those. I usually have my car audio set to radio so no apps are audible in the car unless I manually switch the car to Bluetooth Audio but then I can't listen to the radio.

The only way around this, depending on the car system,
is connect the iPhone to the unit via USB.
At least with my Ford SYNC system, I can pair via
Bluetooth and connect the USB and select USB audio
on the Ford unit and in the Music app on the iPhone.
Doing this, all phoner functions go via Bluetooth and
    everything else is over USB.
Perhaps your car system supports something similar
or not.  If it doesn't, there is nothing you can do.

  • Ringer Sound doesn't work for phone calls.

I can't get my iPhone 4S sound to work for receiving phone calls.  Sound selected along with vibrate for phone calls.  Miss calls everytime.  Volume turned up and turned on.

    Two things to check
Is the Mute switch ON ?
Do you have Do Not Disturb set ON ?

  • Can i use ipad wi-fi +cellular for phone calling?

can i use ipad wi-fi +cellular for phone calling?

    Yes, another good VOIP resource.
Though it's important to understand that this is NOT cellular calling. The SIM in the iPad remains usable ONLY for data connectivity. There is still no voice or text capability through the operator network.

  • After update 7.1.0. my sound only works for phone calls, emails etc, but not for music or games

after update 7.1.0. my sound only works for phone calls, emails etc, but not for music or games

Maybe I understood your problem. Get to Settings > Sounds > Ringers and Alerts >Turn Change With Buttons to Off. And if your Side Switch is assigned to 'Mute', turn it back on, else, use the control center to turn off mute.

  • Reminder beep for phone calls?

Is there any way to turn on or install a reminder beep for phone calls that have been missed?

No this is not supported and although I understand some people prefer having an ongoing notification when there is a missed call or voice mail until the missed call is checked, this is the first cell phone I've used without this which I'm pleased with. All the other phones I've used include this which requires handling the phone to turn off the notification - without an on/off selection which is annoying to me so if Apple decides to add this feature with a future update, I want an on/off selection and if not, I want the download for this feature to be optional.
You can provide Apple your feedback about this here which is no guarantee Apple will include it with a future update.

  • Changing volume for phone calls.

is there any way to change the volume for phone calls besides the outside volume key?? I tried "sounds" in settings and it did not work.

Your volume switches work differently depending on what you are doing. You may get a readout above the "speaker" symbol that appears on the screen telling you what volume is being adjusted.
If you are not using anything, the volume switches adjust the ringer volume.
If you are playing music or video, they adjust the music/video volume.
If your headphone are plugged in, they adjust the headset volume.
If you are actually on a call, the adjust the earpiece volume or speakerphone volume (without a readout).
If you are on a phone call using bluetooth, they adjust the bluetooth volume.
Dial a recording like the National Time Signal (303) 499-7111 and adjust the volume during the call.

  • Why is the decline button for phone calls not available when the phone is locked? I need that button and it shows only when the phone is not locked on iOS 7

Why is the decline button for phone calls not available when the phone is locked? I need that button and it shows only when the phone is not locked on iOS 7

Yep. You need to touch the sleep/power button once to silence the ring, and twice in order for the call to go directly to Voicemail.
Personally, I dont understand why Apple eliminated this. If you wish to give Apple feedback, do it here:
