Account Dim in Shared Library doesn't have CustomXTopMember or EnableCustomXAggregation Properties

We are upgrading from 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.3.500. We use the Shared Library for our HFM application. In 11.1.2.3.500, there are no options for EnableCustomXTopMember or EnableCustomXAggregation (where X is the number of the Custom dimension IE Custom 1, Custom 2, Custom 3, Custom 4).
In the local account dimension in the new version, it does have these properties.
In the shared account dimension in the old version, it does have these properties.
In the shared account dimension in the new version, it does not have these properties.
In the new version, I had to copy the account dimension from the application to get the Dimension Associations to create in the Shared Library, but even with the Dimension Associations created, we still do not see the properties in the Shared Library.
We do have our Custom dimensions setup in the Shared Library.
We have tried importing via LCM and Import Profiles, but LCM gives us errors and warnings that it cannot associate the property with the dimension:
"There was a error processing the dimension association for the base dimension 'Account', target dimension 'Custom1'; please make sure that the target dimension exist or is included in the dimension section of the import source.  Member properties for this association will not be processed."
Any ideas on why the properties do not exist in the Shared Library and will not import or copy into the Shared Library in 11.1.2.3.500?
Here are some screenshots:
Thanks,

Hi Steve,
I have encountered the same problem too.
As a workaround, start creating a dummy application with the shared dimensions of the new version. This will create the associations. After that, you can delete the application.

  • Home Sharing Library doesn't include all music that's in main Music Library

Sorry if this has been answered previously. I haven't been able to fashion a search to find the answer.
I turned on Home Sharing in the Remote app on my iPhone 4. It readily found my Home Sharing Library from my iMac (that contains 1306 items). After entering in my Apple ID and password, I tried to search for a recently purchased song using the Remote app and it didn't find it. I went to the iMac and immediately found the song in the Library and in the Purchased playlist. I also noticed that the Library on the iMac contains 2781 items.
Question #1: Why wouldn't the Home Sharing Library on my iMac not contain the same songs that are in the Library on the same iMac?
To solve the problem, I just synced the iMac to the Remote app (not through Home Sharing) and was able to see my entire library.
Problem/Question #2: Since my Home Sharing library doesn't show all the music, when my wife's MacBook Home Shares, she too does not see all the music available for streaming. They are all on the same wi-fi network. The reason I use Home Sharing vs. Sharing of the library is that I automatically transfer iPhone apps across the network as she syncs her iPhone to her computer (she wants no music).
Hoping someone can help me troubleshoot.
    Thanks.
    Martin

i'm guessing you used more than one iTunes store account to purchase content.
if that's the case, try authorizing your Mac to play/use the content purchased from the other iTS account(s).
that's basically very easy. all you have to do is +log out+ of one account (click on the account name in the Store window and select +sign out+ from the pop-up dialog) and into the other, and then they will both be authorized. when done, sign back into your usual account. you'll have to do that one time only.

  • Shared Library Doesn't Display Events

I want to share my iPhoto library with another user on the same computer. So in Preferences I turned on sharing. When the other user logs in and selects the shared library they just get a panel with thousands of loose photos unlike the original library that has them separated into Events. How do I fix that? Thanks!

There's nothing to fix, you can't share the Events. What you can do is share Albums. You can quickly create albums from Events simply by selecting all the pics in an Event (command-a) and going Shift-command-n (or File -> New Album from Selection)

  • Shared Library Doesn't Come Up in Source

Basically, it's just not there. I'm in Halls of Residence, and I know that all my mates have their shared libraies working fine. But I've ticked "look for shared music" and "share my library".. But it just doesn't come up! And my library isn't coming up on any of their machines either.
Also, my iTunes seems to lag. Say I haven't got it as the top window, and it goes through a couple of songs. I go back to iTunes, and the speaker thing, which shows on the playlist which song it's playing hasn't moved from the last time iTunes was on top.
It's really messed up, I dunno what's wrong with it. Could it just be my computer? Or is there something wrong with my iTunes? I just downloaded the new version yesterday as well..?:(
    Somebody pleeeease help me!

If you're the only one running iTunes 5.0, that would do it. They need to be upgraded too.

  • Linked objects in shared library doesn't work

    Hello.
I have a linked Smart Object in my library and I'd like to share that library with my colleague. Well, I've shared the library, my colleague is able to use it's content in his Photoshop, but all linked Smart Objects are marked as broken (red sign).
That's seems to be right, because there are no original psb-files on colleague's PC (they are stored in my Google Drive). But it makes libraries almost useless for collaboration.
So, is there a way to share linked Smart Objects? It seems that storing them in CC folder won't do much to help - I still can share files, not the library.
    Thanks.

  • 2 iPods with separate accounts, but a shared library?

Just bought my kids each an iPod touch.  I would like them to use the same computer, with separate WinXP logins, with separate iTunes accounts but be able to share a library.
    How do I do this?

Wow...this is by far the worst support community I've been in thus far.

If your trying to change the number used for iCloud keychain, you change it on an iOS device or Mac that is using your keychain as follows:
iOS 7.0.3 or later: Tap Settings > iCloud > Account, then tap Keychain. Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later: Choose Apple () > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Make sure the phone number listed under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
Otherwise, please explain what number you are trying to change and what version of iOS you're running.

  • Is it possible to Sync an iPod (or iPhone) with a Shared Library?

I know this is a silly, basic question, but 6:30 AM is just too early for me to keep digging for the answer.
So, I have several computers at home. ONE of them is used to purchase and store all of my iTunes music. This same computer is used to sync several iPods. The entire library on this computer is shared. Two other computers in the house are Authorized on the same account and regularly play music stored on the "first" computer.
    So here's the rub.
My duaghter just got a new iPhone. She has her own MAC. I'd like her to begin using her own computer to sync her iPod and iPhone.
Is it possible to sync her iPod and iPhone using HER computer (that is authorized on my account) and MY shared library?

I don't think it is possible to sync an ipod to a shared library for copyright reasons. Sharing is great and simple for accessing and listening to other computer's music over a network, but to sync your ipod - I believe can only be done from that particular itune's music library. But here's how I work around this so that I don't have to have my 90 GB Music Folder copied on multiple computers:
Copy these files from your main computer (the one that has and controls your master itunes library) into the same location on any other computer on your network (say your daughter's computer): user/music/itunes/iTunes Music Library.xml & iTunes Library. Before copying them over to daughter's computer, remove the old files (maybe keep somewhere else just in case) and have itunes shut down. Then start up itunes on your daughter's computer and it should look identical to the main computer's itunes (and the same as the shared library). What you've esentially done is created a separate itunes library data base that can be managed on your daughter's computer but one that accesses the same actual music files that are on the main computer's Music Folder. To check go to Preferences/Advanced and you'll see that the Music Folder location is pointing to the same file as on the main computer (whose Music Folder is now being used as a sort of network music despository). You'll notice that when your daughter's computer starts itunes and plays a song, the main computer's hard drive where the Music Folder is stored will mount on her computer. So the main computer obviously has to be turned on, or more accurately, the location of the Music Folder (could be on an external hard drive) must be accessible over the network. Your duaghter can now create her own spearate playlists and sync her ipod to her own library which is accessing the same song files (Music Folder) as the main computer. And both of you can be playing from itunes at the same time independantly.
Here's the tricky part that takes some coordintation: Since you'll both be accessing and adding to the same huge Music Folder, you'll need to coordinate with eachother if you want to be able to have each computer's itunes database "see" any music that the other person has added or purchased. For purchasing or adding music to the music folder, both of you should have in Preferences/Advanced the "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library" selection checked when purchasing music or adding music via burning. If your daughter, for example, buys an album and has this preference selected, then it will go to the Music Folder and she will have access to it. But the other computer doesn't know that this was added to the music folder and it won't show up in that computer's itunes. For itunes to knwo a song is in it's Music Library it has to add it to it. SO, from this other computer, go to File/Add to Library and navigate to the location within the Music Folder and then select the newly purchased album and it will now show up in this itunes as well - BUT before you do this you should UNcheck the "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library" preference so that the album is not duplicated in the Music Folder. Then if this computer wants to purchase an album, you need to have this checked again. Basically if your doing the original adding you have to have the "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library" checked. If your simply letting your itunes know that something was added then have the "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library" unchecked before you add it to your library. And if someone creates a playlist that the other wants, you can still share eachother's libraries (even though your accessing the same Music Folder) or even export the playlist and import it into the other computer.
Sounds tricky but it's actually pretty easy and allows each person to sort of control his/her itunes and sync their own ipods/iphones all from the same Music Folder.

  • One computer with 2 different apple accounts - why does the library merge?

we have one computer currently being used with my son's itunes account. When we added my younger son's account to this same computer, his downloaded/purchased music is being merged into the same library as my older son's. Is there any way to separate these accounts so that each kid doesn't have a library full of their AND their sibling's music? We assumed that by creating a new account that the music he purchased would go into his unique library.

If you are using different iTunes Store accounts on the same Windows or Mac OS X user account and haven't explicitly set up a separate library, there will only be one iTunes library regardless of how many iTunes Store accounts you have. iTunes libraries are completely separate from iTunes Store accounts.

  • Tracing iTunes Shared Library

    Hello Apple People,
Im managing a large number of apple computers, and have recently noticed that some clients have some questionable material that they are sharing in their iTunes library.
I was wandering how do you track down the user who is supplying the shared library. I have started scanning Port 3689, which allows iTunes sharing between Macs, but if there is some temporary file being stored somewhere that gives perhaps an MAC address, or even an IP, that would be better.
    Thanks

    macmenno,
I just read this post and I'm wondering if you can helpme in my problem - I'm completely stumped!
Below is pasted from my post:
"Apple techs, I've posted this topic before and no one has been able to solve - I believe it's a bug in the program.......
All my macs are running 10.4.7, QT 7.1.3, itunes 7 (problem happened with QT 7.1.2, itunes 6.+)
I'm sharing my itunes songs in my MDD G4(host). I access my g4's shared library from my other mac's either via ethernet or wireless (home LAN).
I have discovered that I cannot play ANY songs that have been encoded as mp3 joint stereo. My mp3's were encoded this way because this was my previous itunes versions (itunes 3 I think) default encoding setting.
When I access my hosts itunes shared library from one of my 'client' macs and view my mp3 joint stereo files, I first notice that they have a 'QuickTime movie file(remote)' in the Kind property list.
They do not list this way on the host - they list on the host as MPEG audio file.
Then when I try to play a mp3 joint stereo file, I get a short spinning rainbow, the song does not play and the play head just doesn't move.
All other song files play, non-joint stereo mp3's, AAC, protected(purchased)songs, videos, etc.
Apple itunes tech's PLEASE CHIME IN HERE - I need an expert to examine this issue, I haven't been able to figure this one out and I cannot share/play my music on to my other macs....
    BIG THANKS!"
macmenno, I hope you can help - THANKS!!!

  • Shared library errors!!!!

    Hello
I just did a software update for Ipod updater, quick time and 10.4.7. I went away from machine and when I came back I had an error message, unfortunately I dont recal exactly what it said but it was along lines of "10.4.7 failed to install and has been moved to trash."
Then I tried to use various applications and I am getting the following dialogue for many of them:
"The application "XYZ" could not be launched because of a shared library error:"/ <"
I have done the obvious, repair permisions, disk utilities, no luck, I have read forums but have not seen a specific solution.
I have seen some distantly similar suggestions about dumping prefs for applications but I dont know how to do that. The next solution appears to be reinstall syst software.
    Any help, much appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks for taking time to reply.
I got everything back up and running (i think, today is the 1st day I will be using machine).
Here is what I did, in case it is useful for others:
    1) I backed up my account
    2) Went to apple downloads
    3) found the 10.4.7 download for PPC users (NOT the INTEL versions, I am still on a PPC Mac)
    4) downloaded & installed
    5) rebooted (had a wierd exp when rebooting, machine was halfway through reboot and suddenly rebooted again.
    6) 2nd reboot, (sweat on brow) everything rebooted as normal!!!
Not sure why the install quit the first time via automatic software update, my only theory is apple was telling me to instal the intel version.
    Best

  • Linux shared library does not work in fedora core 4

I have transferred an application that ran perfectly on fedora 3 to fedora 4.  It uses a shared library that I wrote in C.
The vis no longer appear to recognise this file as a  shared
library.  I have recompiied the library in fedora 4 but this makes
    no difference.
    Any ideas?

    Hi jbroughton,
There are few things that I need to know in order to investigate why your file is no longer being recognised:
What version of LabVIEW are you using?
What is your kernal version of federa four?
Is your application a built executable?
What is your librarying doing currently when you try to call it? If any error popups what are the error codes and messages you are getting?
Can you call your C library outside of LabVIEW?
    Thanks

  • Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no msawt in shared library path

I am using IE5.5 on Windows 98SE, and every time I try to run an applet, I get the error "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no msawt in shared library path" I have installed the JDK/JRE, but it has not done anything. I discovered that I was missing msawt.dll from my windows/system folder, but when I got it, it had no effect on the error message. I have gotten the same applets to run on other win98/IE5.5 machines. I read of this same problem in a linux forum somewhere, but nobody had a solution. What should I do? Thanks.

Well, as tacky as it is to reply with the solution to my own problem, I found that installing a newer version of Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine, free from Microsoft's site, helped elminate that error. Perhaps this will help someone else.

  • How to get Reference on files of my ADF Shared Library

    Dear All,
    Use case:
I have compiled one project into a shared ADF library. This project has a ViewController.
In it are some common css files that I would like to reuse.
Now, I have a new project and have linked to that ADF library using Resource Palette.
In my JSFF file, I tried to link to the CSS in my shared library
<af:resource type="css" source="/com/test/common.css"/>But I cant seem to get the styleclasses in that shared library.
I have checked at Firebug console and I notice that I am getting a 404 when I am requesting for the said file.
What should be the correct path for me to get a reference to the CSS Files?
    Thanks

  • Accessing an external HD as a shared library

Here's my situation: I have a personal collection of music (about 30 GB) on my MBP hard disk, which I manage with iTunes. As a part-time job, I am also a DJ. I recently ripped all of my 3500+ CDs onto an external dive, which takes up almost 200GB. What I would like to do is to access this as a shared itunes library - as if it were on another computer. I know how to use the external drive as my only itunes folder, but that's not what I'm asking. By using it as a shared library, I can have the music that I use with me at all times without connecting the large external, and only bring that along when I have a gig.
This will all be done under the latest version of Leopard, on the December 2008 model MBP. Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this for me!

So are you saying that iTunes need to be running on a computer in order to share its library?
    Yes.
If yes, then I obviously can't do what I want.
I can't tell really what you wan tat this opint.
As Meg pointed out in her first post, you can create 2 ibraries. One library on the external for DJing and one on the internal for you own use.
Does iTunes crawl all shared network directories for "iTunes Library.xml" files? I'm just trying to figure out how it searches for shared libraries!
    No.
iTunes is running and you set it up in iTunes prefs -> Sharing to Share the library (or playlists).
iTunes on that computer will then broadcast that info on th elocal network.
If iTunes on another computer on that network is set up to look for Shared libraries, it will get that info and you can play songs from that Shared library.
Creating a new library is completely different.
    Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select *Create library* and select somewhere to put this new library.
It will be a complete, new iTunes folder. Any songs you add are added only to this library.
To use a different library (not a "shared" library), hold Hold Option and launch iTunes. Select *Choose library* and select the iTunes library file in the iTunes folder of the library you want.
This is what some people do when they want to keep a library for lossless and a library of AAC/MP3 for loading onto their iPod.
