Account doesn't work on Mac Mail but does on iPhone

I have a IMAP email account with my company that works on my iPhone and in Entourage but doesn't work in Mac Mail. I have tried to copy the settings and even did a full erase and reinstall of Leopard and no one has an idea why it won't work, the hosting company or Pro Care. Any idea out there?

No idea what  "My apple ID account doesn't work on my itunes but it does on the web" means.

    Hi Steve, Welcome to apple discussions.
    Hmm, that is a strange problem. Well, you've already done what I would suggest which is to go to the keyboard settings and click the "Restore defaults" button in the modifier keys window and try again. If that doesn't work then you can restart the computer and check. If that doesn't work you can try to reset the pram. Hold the optioncommand+PR buttons after you hear the startup chime, it should chime again, I let it chime a third time just for good measure and see if things look better.
    If that fails then you can try making another account and seeing if the caps lock works in the new account. There might be some strange error on your account that would be corrected for in a new account. After that it gets more labor intensive. Do a system re-install, do an erase and install.
    You might consider a trip to the apple genius bar there in Honolulu if can. The should be able to run through all that for you. You're still under warrantee so take advantage and get some help.
    Oh, and just a disclaimer that I learned from Adam on the maccast podcast. Make a full, complete backup including a time machine and bootable (like superduper or carbon copy cloner) disk before you do any of the above or take the unit it for service.

  • USB Headset doesn't work on Mac OSX but does on my WinXP Bootcamp partition

    Hi all,
    I bought my FIRST Mac 2 days ago and am very excited about the migration. My reality is that I need WinXP for work-related activities and so I successfully installed Bootcamp and both WinXP and Mac OSX is working fine.
    My problem is with a brand new Logitech USB Stereo Headset 250. It works just fine on the Windows XP side, but I can't get it to work on the Mac OSX side. Is there something I should be 'turning on' to get the headset to work? Like I said, it just 'worked' when I started up with the WinXP partition but when I restarted in the Mac OSX partition, it doesn't work.
    Apologies if this is a simple thing that the veteran Mac crowd is snickering at as they read this, but I truly want to use the Mac OS as much as possible and if I can't get the headset to work on the Mac side it won't be a good thing.
    Any suggestions?

    Got it (sorry all) - I went into the System Preferences and selected the USB headset from the 'output' tab.

    This cable has worked well with my wife's 2011 air for ouputing audio and video through our Onkyo receiver:

    However, I can't get it to work on my new 2013 Air. My Air's display will flash like other Air's do when you plug in a cable, or power on a receiver connected by cable to my Mac. But I can't see external speakers in System Prefs/Audio/Output. An no sound outputs.
    Both my wife's Air and mine are Thunderbolt so can anyone think of a reason for why this would work on hers and not on my 2013 Haswell air?

    Then unless there's some newer/different setup in 2011 13" MBP (if so, I'd look in Displays), it sounds like a hardware issue, either with the cable or the MBP.
    I would contact AppleCare, as you are still in your three month free phone support, and one year hardware warranty.

    Print to Video only works with some Sequence settings via Firewire to the recording device.  Are your Sequence settings for both Sequences the same?

  • Font doesn't work in Premiere Titler but DOES in After Effects?

    Having trouble figuring out what the issue is on this one. I'm using the GENUINE font, and when trying to create a title inside of Premiere, it doesn't work. It shows up as blocks/rectangles. If I use the font in any other program, such as After Effects (or Illustrator, Word, etc) it works fine. See screenshots below:

    Titler is probably the most font-sensitive application (or mini-app), that Adobe has. I have encountered fonts that work fine in PS, AI, InDesign, AE and even older PageMaker, that flat killed Titler. This ARTICLE goes into a bit more detail, and offers a scheme to fix things, in some cases.

    Since the update of Mavericks my Gmail account bugs a lot ! (also with the update for Gmail).
    I tried to "re-build" the mail box, since it didn't work. And since I did this my Gmail box is empty, like I have no emails... I tried to sync but nothing happens.. I deleted and put again the account but nothing...

    is the driver for your network card up to date?  that could be a reason it will not work with the more up to date HH3
    If want more assistance from the forum members please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems) http://speedtester.bt.com or http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9354/c/346,4740,5520 and post the results .
    are you connected directly to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
    Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
    Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

  • My line doesn't work with BT HH3 but does with BT ...

    Hi folks,
    To cut a long story short, I've had a selection of BT HomeHubs over the years and my HH2 packed up 3-4 months ago, not sure what went wrong but the orange light just kept flashing and it would not connect, despite resets and reboots.
    I think the most my line can take is around 7MB but BT support say it can take 24MB, but I'm not on inifinity, just normal ADSL over copper. I know they have upgraded my local exchange several months ago and this is when the problems started as even before my HH2 packed up, my speed dropped right down to around 1MB for several weeks.
    Anyhow, as I am still in contract (due for renewal in April 2012), BT sent me a HH3 and I've had a variety of problems with it, so much so that they actually sent me 3, all with the same problems (which makes me think a network/exchange issue).
    Basically, the HH3 used to connect and over a period of say 2 days it went from around 7MB upto 11MB, at which point, I boot up my PC (Windows 7 64-bit connected via ethernet) and I see a yellow exclamation on the network, reporting no internet. Sure enough, I cannot browse so have to re-set the hub, now sometimes it synced slightly lower but I generally had to reboot 5-6 times for it to sync around 6mb, then I could sometimes connect, but of course, the speed increased every few hours, or at least when i checked the next day it was sitting around 11MB.
    Now this did not seem to affect my wireless laptop, this continued to work but ethernet was not happy. All of my hardware is OK, I even tried different ethernet cards, cables etc to no avail.
    I have cases raised with BT and whilst they do their best to try and resolve the issue, I get empty promises of proposed solutions within a few days. An engineer has visited my property several times and has reported everything is as it should be.
    It has been driving me mad so I managed to get hold of a used HH2 and guess what, plugged it in and straight away it has worked and so far (6 days) have not had one problem.
    What do I do if this one packs up because at the moment, it looks as if it is only the HH2 that works with my set-up (main PC anyhow). Do BT still stock and ship the HH2 devices?
    I don't think I will be renewing in April 2012 if I am stuck on using the old HH2 and for how long this will work, I don't know. There appears to be no logical explanation, at least from BT support, why the HH3 is causing me so many problems. They say it is a problem with my PC and I need to take it to a PC specialist but clearly, the HH2 works just fine, as did a netgear one I tested a few weeks back.

  • Submit doesn't Work in Reader online, but does on desktop??

    HI folks,  I had a form that was working online, but now is not (with Reader update? )   
    If I open the form in Reader 10 on my desktop and click submit, it asks appropriately if I want to use a desktop app or web app. 
    I have tried using Submit with XFDF ata, FDF and Full PDF but none work online for me or my clients. 
    I have enabled or extended Rights to Reader under the advanced menu. 
    Now the problem appears to be related to online viewing with the embedded reader plugin in the browser, which opens the form in a web page. Attempting this in Firefox forces a download, which fixes the problem.  So I either need a way to fix this for online viewing or force a download when someone has the browser plugin.
    Any suggestions?  TIA!!!!

    ALSO,  if I open it in IE 9, and choose to open the file, it opens in Adobe Digital Editions, and it cannot be modified, the forms cannot be filled out.
    This really is a mess of a program...

  • Sound doesn't work with one player but does with two...

    I'm running the Win7 Release Candidate and have Flash Player 10 installed.  Today when I tried to play a video on youtube, there was sound for a split second, and then it cut out while the video continued to play.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash with no success. Then I tried opening up two tabs and played a video in each tab, and suddenly the sound was working again.  This happens in both Google Chrome and IE8.  I have normal sound in all other applications.  Any suggestions?

  • App Remote doesn't work on MacPro desktop, but does work on MacBook laptop

    So I have AirExpress connected to my stereo and I can use both my iPhone and iTouch Remote App to control my iTunes library from my MacBook. However, my desktop computer (a MacPro) has all of my music. And the MacPro will not identify my iPhone as a device so I can enter the 4 digit code. Why?

    Have you installed the latest software updates for both iPhone and Mac? Are they both on the same network?

  • Same calender sharing for doesn't work for person A but does for person B

    We are using Outlook 2003 with Exchange Server 2007.
    The problem is that a calendar from a person C can be seen by person A and B. The persons A and B have have the same permissions to edit the calendar. Person A can edit and save. Person B can only see the calendar and not edit.
    When person A log on the computer which is used by person B and vica versa the problem remain.
    So I think this will be a problem in the profile of user B.
    How can the problem be solved?

    First, we can use the Get-MailboxFolderPermission cmdlet to view user B's permissions for the calendar folder. Make sure he is granted with the right permission:

    In addition, let user B switch to online mode to check the result. We can also check if user B can edit the calendar item from OWA.
