Account hijacked, but skype support is unresponsive

Hi, My employee account was recently hijacked. He completed the verification form, and the info there is correct, but the support team keeps turn it down and asks to fill it again. We are ready to provide any other identity proofs, e.g. main db file, verification calls from his colleagues, etc, but no help, the support team simply sends canned replies back. Does anybody know how to resolve the problem? Maybe someone knows a contact of the support team supervisor? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

  • Bank Account Debited but Skype Account not Credited

    When the money of my Skype Account was running low, it automatically charges again by taking money from my personal bank account. I am doing this since 5 years without any problem. This time my bank account was really low, and when the money was debited, I just had like a dollar left. The money transfered to my Skype account, but after a day My Skype account was low again. I received plenty of emails that the tranfer of money did not work. My bank account was debited and I was never refunded by Skype. I have a copy of my Bank account, where can I send it to? Many thanks

  • Account Hacked. Skype ignoring my support tickets.

    About 6 or 7 weeks ago, my account was hacked. Besides using up all my credits on 2 monthly subsciptions the hacker didn't do anything else on my account; at least nothing that I can see. I've reported this to Skype using their suggested method and was told I would hear back within 72 hours, 3 days later I reported it again. So far I've reported this to Skype 9 times, I'm still waiting to hear back from them. The whole process to contact Skype is one of the most long winded and pointless endevours I've ever had the misfortune to enconter. After being directed from one link to another I'm finally directed to a microsoft support link which once I click on it I'm taken to a page that tells me the page I'm looking for no longer exists.After 4 weeks of waiting for Skype to reply I thought **bleep** this!' and tried to cancel my account. This turned out to be just as difficult as reporting the hack. I'm still waiting for Skype to get in contact with me. I'm posting this here as a warning to anyone who has had their account compromisd, don't bother trying to report it, as Skype's customer service doesn't exist. just remove your personal details from your account and stop using Skype, that's what I'm going to do.   

    Check your Spam folder. Responses from Skype when I contacted them about my account hijacking were going there. You've gotta wonder why that is, but anyway...

  • Skype account deletion and no support available.

    Hi, i am trying to delete skype account, i have filled up dummy texts in my profile as shown in the support page of how to delete account.and the answer tell me to contact skype support for further actions, but there are only two options on support page, "skype community" and "chat". Community shows me the same procedure and when i open chat, no one from skype comes online to chat, when i try to text in chat, it says You are not currently in a chat session. I tried 4 times and I waited for 15 minutes everytime but no one comes online. Can anyone tell me the exact way to contact skype for account deletion?

  • Account Hacked - Skype Support Useless - NO REFUND...

    So my skype account was hacked last week, just found out right now. Luckly my credit card on file had expired so they only ate $8. To make it worse, the Skype login and password change system on the website isn't working properly (even though their heart beat page says its fixed), and Skype support kept trying shift the login problems on me. Oh... and no refunds? Hmmm... well... no more money for you Skype. Not one cent ever again. Its computer to computer chats from now on, and I'll find a better VOIP provider.

    There's a whole lot to read in your post, and frankly I have not read it all.
    Having said that, this troubleshooting guide should help:

    In particular, pay attention to the mobile device support sections near the bottom, assuming you have already done the items above it.

    afaik, all users can use the email support option.  But as you said you can not use that facility, send an email to their generic email address instead - [email protected]

  • Account hijacked for calls to Ethiopia and Egypt

    Hi, My skype account was suddenly auto-recharged today (20th April, 2012)  around 1:00AM (GMT+5.5).  When I checked, several calls were made to EGYPT and ETHIOPIA.  I have taken the necessary measures to prevent further charges.  I also notified skype support via chat.
    I am convinced that there are serious holes in security at skype. Beware All!!!

    Easy way: Go to support.skype.com/en-gb/support_request
    Long way: Click on "Support" in the main menu above and selecting "Support Homepage" (at the bottom of the menu) > Then click on "Get more help" at the bottom of the page > Enter a query.  In the next page, there will be another "Get more help" link on the right, which will ultimately lead to the support request page.
    Once at the support request page, select Security & Privacy > Identity Theft / Acccount takeover. The page will scroll down to display an answer, which contains a link "contact us by live chat".  Click on the link and mention the issue to the live chat agent.  What I did was just mention what happened and the steps I had taken (change the password, disable autorecharge, de-link from paypal account).  Note: I did not directly ask for a refund.
    I also notified paypal regarding the fraudulent recharge and there, I raised a claim and requested a refund.  I am not sure which of these steps was effective in getting the refund, but I would suggest doing everything possible without wasting time.  I got my autorecharge refunded within minutes of the live chat, so I am not sure the paypal step was necessary.

  • ONLINE number is TAKEN - WHERE'S SKYPE support?

    I paid 1 year subscription for a number that someone else is using. I set up my voicemail and it still rings at someone else's number. However, when I place a call that caller ID shows-up, but it does not help because IT DOES NOT WORK AS MY ONLINE NUMBER!
    I'd be happy to change the number, I just need some number to work ASAP! 
    No one has offered a solution or help so far. This forum is more like blind leading the blind and I can't reach anyone at SKYPE support. Seems like going premium is the only way to get support - but if I can't reach anyone at SKYPE now - I can only guess how easy it will be to cancel the recurring monthly premium subscription!  How do I contact support or account so I could at least concel and get my $60 returned if they can't fix this?     you need to go into your account, cancel your existing Online Number and then purchase another
    the fact that the existing number has apparently already been allocated to someone else, perhaps not even a Skype user, is NOT uncommon in the industry, so I wouldn't come down too hard on Skype
    note that canceling a Skype service normally just means NOT RENEWING IT, so to get the necessary refund you will need to contact Customer Support after you cancel, and provide the necessary details

    Its been about 2 months now since I lost all of my contacts on skype, around 120. I contacted skype and was told by the person that he had restored my contacts and I was just to wait 72 hours. I waited the time and checked, still nothing, I waited a week, still no contacts, so I contacted skype support a second time and I soon transferred to someone who was supposed to know more about those kinds of problems, but she told me she escalated the problem and a couple of days later I got a mail saying that skype was working on the problem. But that is 3 weeks ago. I use skype every day so you can imagine the problem this causes, since I don't keep 120 skype id's in my head at all times. Should I contact skype support again regarding this issue or should I accept the fact that they messed up bad and abandon skype all together?
    JESUS, i even had to create a whole new account even after logging in to post this, thanks skype.

  • Account blocked but I still have credit, please ex...

    I have been told by skype that a fraudulent credit card was used to credit my account, yet they refuse to tell me when this happened and how much the transaction was. But they will keep the $17.70 in my account because the tech support said to open another account, this is BS......
    Has this happened to anyone else???

    may we know what did the customer support exactly tell you when you brought this matter to their attention?  they may not be able to provide specific responses immediately, but at least they should have provided generic ones or a timeframe on how long should  such cases take to be clarified or resolved.
