Account inaccessible .. operation does not support device
iMac, Core Duo 20" 2Gig RAM
Since update to 10.4.10 using combo update... trying to log on to a guest account crashes the system to black screen with white system prompt: '...operation not supported by device.' I hold the power button for 5 seconds to shut down. I am so far unable to access that account.
My own account currently works and I've backed it up!
I have rebuilt permissions, and repaired the disk, using boot disk. Also deleted all caches, run all crons, etc. using Cocktail, OnyX and Tiger Cache Cleaner... several times. I clean installed 10.3.9 retaining users... before the 10.4.10 combo update.
Any help would be appreciated.

Corrupt main user was corrupting the install and update process.
Creating a new user and using that to install clean 10.4.4 (restoring users) and update 10.4.10 fixed all the bad symtoms I was getting.
To deal with the corrupt user, I used Migration assistant to move it over to a second iMac, deleted the original, then migration assistant to put it back and voila, everything is perfect.

Adobe Support Chat Sooraj tells me on 02/19/2015 that i must buy two computers to have it operate on both operating systems. Adobe will not support apple's Boot CAMP allowing both operating systems.

If you have unlocked your bootloader this may also be the cause for this issue.

Try downloading the trial. It ought to detect that you have a 64-bit system.
You aren't using Vista, are you? PSE 13 requires at least win 7 and I think a few folks with vista have gotten a similar error message on trying to install it. -
Netflix requires Microsoft Silverlight plug in to view their videos. Every time I try to load it I get the following error message...Your operating system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight. I have a 64bit system with Windows Vista Home Premium. Firefox 33.0 is installed.

As said Firefox for Windows from mozilla.org is a 32-bit application. The WOW64 in UA means it is a 32-bit application on 64-bit Windows.
Before you ask if there will be a Win64 version of Firefox. If all goes well the first phase of having Win64 for Release may be as early as Firefox 37.0

I am getting the following error when attempting to INSERT the results of an "EXEC(@MDXQuery) at SSAS LinkedServer":
The requested operation could not be performed because OLE DB provider "MSOLAP" for linked server does not support the required transaction interface.

Test 1 succeeds, returning expected results, and Test 2 fails returning the error mentioned above.
Other articles I've found so far don't seem to apply to my case. I am not creating any explicit transactions in my code. When I use OPENQUERY, I am able to do the insert just fine, but not when I use EXEC @MDX at LinkedServer.
Unfortunately in some variations of the query, I run into the 8800 character limit on OPENQUERY, so I need to use this other approach.
Any ideas?

While trying to poulate Analytical Workspace using WB_LOAD_OLAP_CUBE, I got the following validation error
The analysis of the mapping is not successful under all supported languages and operating modes. Detail is as follows:
SQL*Loader: Operator POSTMAPPING does not support SQL*Loader generation.
ABAP: Operator AWPARAMS does not support ABAP generation.
I dont know what that means. Your help will be appreciated. Do I need apply some post 9.2.0.3 patch?. If yes, please let me know the patch number if available.
FYI: I am using Oracle9i with 9.2.0.3 patch

Does the regular process load from a flat file into a table? This would be implemented as SQL loader mapping... in which case a PL/SQL call cannot be implemented.
What you could do:
- Use an external table to read from the flat file.
- Use the transformation in a process flow. I.e. you first execute the SQL loader mapping and then execute the transformation.

I have an Ada executable that's creating a buffer of data that's being fed to a Labview executable that's displaying the data in a GUI. We're re-architecting some legacy system hardware and I'm just trying to figure out if this configuration is even possible.

I basically have an Ada executable and Labview executable that currently run on a Sun Machine with Solaris as the operating system. I'm re-architecting the system hardware and will be getting rid of the Sun Machine and Solaris. I'm don't have any issues with the Ada executable, but I'm not sure what configurations Labview supports.duplicate post
