I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. I checked, and at least one other user is having the same issue. I'll attempt to copy/paste the Support request url: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4430653?tstart=0
Thank you for any help you can give.

  • When I try to start my ICloud, it says Account Not Verified.  I don't have an email for instructions.

I get an error message when I click on my ICloud.  It says that the Account is Not Verified.  Check me email for instructions.  I don't have an email.  What do I do now?

Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

How old is your battery? This weird trackpad action was the same thing that happened to me when my 3 year old battery started to swell. As it swelled it pressed up on the trackpad and caused all sorts of almost ghost like mouse pointer movements...many all on it's own. The battery itself still held a charge.
I took the battery out and could barely see where it had swelled. I then ran my MacBook Pro with battery out on the MagSafe adapter. No more ghost mouse pointer movements, resizing, dragging, and clicking.
If you can remove the battery DIY, try what I did.
I installed a new battery and everything is back to normal.

  • Can't verify email for iCloud on iPad or Mac

can't verify email for iCloud on iPad or Mac / not getting email (I've apple ID)

I have seen this issue brought up many times here in the community and decided to share my experience. I too could get verification. I had an AppleId before iCloud, it was used for Apple Store purchases. I made sure that the email I was using for the ID was not the same as what I was using for the ICloud ID. Next I signed in to my ICloud ID at
    Appleid.apple.com
I changed my email to a secondary e-mail I had. It was a gmail account.
I then verified that email address by logging into gmail and responding to email sent by apple.
I logged back into iCloud account and added an additional email to my account. I added the email that previously wasn't receiving the verification.
I then verified that email address by checking and responding to verifying email sent by apple.
I then logged back into iCloud account. Both emails I entered were verified. (primary and secondary)
I EDIT ' ed the primary using the secondary email address.
This removed my secondary address and made it my primary.
It was verified previously so I was done.
I went into settings>iCloud and a verifying email was sent.
    It worked.
It may seem like a lot to do, but it works.

    Hi kelli in OP,
For information on verifying your primary email address, see this article:
Associating and verifying email addresses with your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HE68
How to verify the primary email address for your Apple ID
When you first create an Apple ID (using your email address) a verification email will be sent to that address. If you sign in to your Apple ID from the link in that email, the email address will be verified as the primary email address for your Apple ID. You can also resend the email verification if the email address is not verified:
    1. Sign in to My Apple ID to manage your account information.
    2. Click Resend under Primary Email Address.
    3. Verify your changes by following the link in the email you will receive from Apple and signing back in to your account.
    Cheers!

  • Trouble verifying email for facetime on new ipod touch.

Just got an iPod touch and trying to set up Facetime. I get a message "Unable to verify email because it is already in use" What does that mean and how can I get past this problem?

    iOS: Troubleshooting FaceTime

  • HT4759 When I tap on icloud on my ipad it tells me my account is not verified and to check my email for instructions to verify this account. When I check my email there are no instructions sent. I receive no emails with instructions to verify my account.

I am unable to use icloud on my ipad because a popup tells me my account can not be verified. Whats up?

Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.

  • How do I get to my apple email account to verify it for Icloud

I just downloaded the new IOS5 software and my music from Itunes is not on my phone and I cannot figure out where to verify my email.  I went on line and reset my password, and sent myself an email to verify, but I can't seem to figure out where my apple email account is.  I have Gmail, aol accounts in my mail folders but no Apple.
    Help please.
    Thank you.

Since you have an Apple TV issue, you will likely get a much faster and more informed response if you post in the support area for the Apple TV.
    The link is below:
    Using Apple TV
In the meantime, hold down the Menu key and Down Arrow key on the Apple remote for 8-10 seconds and release. Give the Apple TV a minute to hopefully restart back to normal.

  • Cannot verify email for ipod touch

the link to verify my email is not recognized any suggestions?

Thanks, g-smoke. I have applied for a Mexican credit card, which I should receive next Thurs.
In answer to your four things: 1) yes, my CC is a Visa 2) My credit limit is far higher than I've ever needed; plus I have no problems with non-Apple purchases; 3) I verified my security card with a call to the bank issuing my card; 4) iTunes store is available in Mexico (but not the music part.)
I have already called Apple USA, Apple Mexico, and my local Apple store. Apple USA and Mexico focused on the need to be very precise in entering all fields. I even changed my official address with the credit card in order to make it "fit" the Apple Mexico iTunes store format better. The Apple store technician here, however, agrees with me that there is an Apple inherent conflict between the fact that my credit card is USA based, but my billing address is in Mexico. The billing address being Mexican is a requirement per the Apple site information--and that is precisely what I have.
Thanks so much for the iTunes site. In all my perusals, I'd not seen that one yet. I sent them an email, and might get a response in another day or so.
I'd like to add that this problem is the reverse of one I had late last year with Apple USA. At that time, Apple refused to make an order for me because my billing address was in Mexico, and Apple seemed unwilling to believe that my credit card was indeed a USA credit card. (I was planning a laptop purchase for a USA trip--a perfectly legal item to bring into Mexico.) So, I walked into Apple SF, and had no trouble using the same credit card to buy a laptop off the shelf--not the configuration I'd wanted to special order, but. . . .
Also of interest--the company from which I bought the digitally transmitted iTunes card is, after investigating the issue, processing a refund to my account.

  • TS3988 Verify email for iCloud

I'm trying to set up my iCloud account on my iPad 2.  It says I will receive an email to verify the account, but I'm not receiving the email.
    Help?

I finally got mine resolved an hour ago after many attempts.
    Try this:
    1. Settings
    2. iTunes and App stores
    3. Tap on "Apple IDxxxx"
    4. Sign out
    5. Sign in again with your Apple ID and password ( or change to new ID at the option " change to new ID"
    6. Go to iCloud . It should now send email verification to your Apple ID email address.
    Good luck.

  • Verify Email for Question Login

    Hello all,
I am trying to verify another data value, such as a users email (just an example) during the forgotten password process. I can add the field to the Question Login Form, but I do not see how to carry it over to the Question Login workflow. The Question Login workflow seems to take in information after an valid or not valid login decision has been made. Where is this decision made? I need to modify this decision making process to include my own variables...

  • My iCloud account says verify email but never sends it? How do I verify my account if it doesn't send me an email?

Every time I try to back up my iCloud account it says I need to verify my email. Yes the email on my iCloud account is the same that's on my devices. Help so I don't have to go to the apple store.

You need to respond to the verification email sent from Apple by clicking the Verify Now link.
