Account on different computers

Ok, I am an older user and set my account on my wife's computer. I was certain when I logged in from any computer I could see my list of purchased songs/movies. But what's the trick, can only see purchases on my wife's laptop????

If you want to have your purchases on more than one computer you have to copy them from the computer they are purchased on. When you purchase something it is downloaded to the computer you are logged into at the time, purchases don't simply appear on every computer you choose to use. There are various methods to copy purchases between computers, CD-R, iPod, USB stick etc, you can read more at these links (you have posted in an iTunes for Mac forum though your profile indicates you may be using a PC so I've provided a link for each):

Move the song files to the desired computer and then either drag them into the library in the open iTunes application window or the Automatically Add to iTunes folder. If this would cause the single library to have content from more than five Apple IDs, you may not be able to sync it to an iPod or iOS device.

  • Different accounts in different computers

Me and my wife have different acounts, in different computers (with differente ios devices), in the past we share of music and books bought from itunes without problems, but know I found the restriction of 90 days to change de AppleID
¿How can now share our content bouth between our two accounts?

    Hi Dongoyo79,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The article below explains how your Apple ID can be used for different services.  If the majority of your iTunes purchases are on one of your Apple ID's -- you can sign out of the iTunes Store and sign back in using that Apple ID and password.  You can continue to use your other Apple ID to keep all of your data separate for iCloud, etc.
The other option is to use your own Apple ID for iTunes AND iCloud.  If you have separate User accounts on your computer, then you could each build your own iTunes library.  Review the article below and decide which option is best for you.
Using your Apple ID for Apple services
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4895
An Apple ID is the email address you use as a login for just about everything you do with Apple, including using iCloud to store your content, buying songs from the iTunes Store, and downloading apps from the App Store.
When you set up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can use the same Apple ID for iCloud services and purchases on the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store. You can also use one Apple ID for iCloud services and another Apple ID for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match). You will get all the benefits of iCloud whether you use the same Apple ID for iCloud and store purchases, or different IDs for each.
The following section explains these two approaches.
Using the same Apple ID for Store purchases and iCloud (recommended)
Using one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store Purchases

I have purchased music, apps, or books with multiple Apple IDs. How can I get all of this content onto my iOS device?

First, you need to copy all of your purchased content so it is on the same Mac or PC with iTunes. This computer should be the one you sync your device with. For more information on how to move your content, see these articles:
Mac:  iTunes for Mac: How to copy purchases between computers
PC:  iTunes for Windows: How to copy purchases between computers
Next, authorize your computer to play content with each Apple ID in iTunes. Once your computer is authorized for all your content, it can be synced to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
I hope this information helps ....

  • Can my wife and I share iTunes accounts on different computers?

My wife uses an Apple Airbook, I work on a desktop PC. I've had an iTunes account for a long time and we share music, etc. So can we share the same iTunes account from our different computers?

No. iOS is not designed at this time for multiple account logins. You would be synching over the top of each other.

  • ITune account of different computers

I am unable to pull up my iTunes account when logged in on my husband's side: we've found that if we dial up on his side(log in name/side) the computer runs faster however I do not know how to access iTunes on his side. Nor do I know how to access my acct on other computers as well

You can log into your account on other computers, and purchase and download music on other computers. However, if you're expecting to log into iTunes and see your previous purchases on that computer, you're unable to do so. When you download something from the iTunes store, and download it, a file is downloaded onto your computer's hard drive, which is where it stays (and, usually copied onto the iPod). For this reason, the songs cannot be accessed from another computer, as they were never saved on that computer.

  • DIFFERENT ITUNES ACCOUNTS ON DIFFERENT COMPUTERS

I am very new to Ipod and Itunes, so forgive my ignorance on this issue. I have opened an Itunes account and have copied all my CD's (and some purchased songs) to that account. I have synched my Ipod, and that is not a problem. This is on my computer at my office.
The question I have concerns my son's itunes account, which is currently installed on our laptop. When I go onto the laptop under my user name and open itunes, the itunes account looks empty, whereas it looks full of my sons' music when I open itunes under his user name on the laptop. I had previously assumed that you can only have one itunes account on each computer, and that our laptop computer is now earmarked as my son's itunes computer, whereas my office computer is my itunes computer. Is it possible for me to have my itunes account AND my son's itunes account accessible on my laptop computer, or can I just access the one itunes account on that computer? Also, if it is just one itunes account per computer, why am I unable to access his song list when I open Itunes under my user name on the laptop?

I appreciate your response. I'm sure my question wasn't clear. I'm not expecting my music to "magically" appear on my laptop when it is in an itunes account on my office computer. My question was twofold: 1) Why when I open itunes on the laptop under my username do I not see my son's music, since his is the music that is in the itunes account on the laptop? (I do see his music library when I open the laptop itunes using HIS username.) and 2) Is there a way to have two different itunes libraries on the same computer? I'd love to be able to access my itunes library AND his itunes library on the laptop, but my hunch is there's no way to have two different libraries. I don't want to combine the libraries, because I don't necessarily want his music on my ipod and vice verse. Thanks for your input----

  • Sharing iTunes between different iTunes accounts on different computers with different operating systems

I have an iTunes account on my home pc (Windows XP) that I sync with my iPhone. My wife has an iPhone with a different iTunes account that she syncs with her Mac at work. Is there any way to share my iTunes library with my wife's iPhone even though she has her own iTunes account and syncs her phone with a Mac?

thanks, zevoneer. apparently, I gave up too early in my own search. I'm trying it now - the copy process is taking some time. Well, I had hoped to narrow the access down to only one other account but at least this should provide the access that is needed.

  • Same account, 2 different computers

I have 2 computers, a Galaxy Tab and an Acer laptop, with Skype installed. I have an online number, and it willl ring only on the laptop if I have an incoming call. Do I need a separate account for each computer?

    Hi Justin Curtis,
There could be a possibility that the there is difference in activation date.
If you are not able to use Photoshop CC, try the below mentioned steps and share the results.
Creative Cloud applications ask for serial number
    Activation & Deactivation Help
Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CS5.5 and later, Acrobat DC
Answer 2: If you wish to pay for both the subscription on the same day. You would have to make sure that the purchase date of Premier Pro cc has to be same to that of Photoshop CC.
Answer 3: Once your trail is expired and you have  purchase it, there is no need to re-install the app.
Please sign out and sign back in to creative cloud .
Sign in, Sign out | Creative Cloud desktop app
Please revert in case of further query.
    Thanks,

  • How do you share songs between accounts and different computers?

My mom and I both like a song. She bought it on iTunes and wants to give it to me to have as well but we don't know how to do that..... Any knowledge on this?

You can share an iCloud calendar with another iCloud user/ID either privately (which allows editing) or publically (which only allows viewing).  This is explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a8694.

  • Downloading on same account, different computers

I have two computers in my house. Different family members have their iPods registered to the different computers, but use the same Apple Account for iTunes. Do I have to download songs and videos and pay for them again if i'm downloading them on the same account but a different computer?

  • Same iTunes Account on Two Different Computers

Is there any way for someone to create an iTunes that allows a person to access the same iTunes account on two different computers? Like if my mom wanted the same songs on her computer as the ones on my dad's computer, but she doesn't want to go through the trouble of using a flash drive. They both want to have access to the same account on two different computers.

if the computer cannot be turned on, one option would be to remove the hard drive and put it in an external enclosure that can be connected to the working computer.

  • Account balance different on different computers

I have seen this also. No way to fix that I know of. My problem is different balances between different Windows logins.

  • Different libraries on different computers, same account?

    Hi,
This might be a dumb question, but . . .
Currently I have all my iTunes files in one library on my eMac. I am getting a new iMac (YAY!) on Tuesday. What I'd LIKE to do is leave all my kids'/wife's iTunes stuff on the eMac, port my stuff over to the iMac— but still buy and manage both with the same account. 'Zat doable?
    Thx

if i am understanding you correctly. Yes you can use the same iTunes account on up to 5 different computers.
On another note if you want easily transfer all of your files have a 6 pin to 6 pin firewire cable handy for the migration assistant during set up.

  • I have my itunes account on two different computers pc and mac.  My pc has the majority of the media the mac is new and has very little.  I just purchased the app numbers for my ipad on my mac and when i go to sync my ipad it wants to erase all my other.

I have my itunes account on 2 different computers can I merge them?

Copy everything from the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
Type "move itunes library from pc to mac" or similar into the google search bar.

  • How do I merge two different libraries, linked to one account? They're on two different computers but I want them to be on one
