Account Team - Opportunity Team

Hi All,
I would like to know the relationship between the Account and Opportunity Teams. Are the users in the Account Team automatically become members of the Opportunity Team? Also, if i removed a user from the Account Team, will that user will also be removed from the Opportunity Team?
Thanks,
Teena

Hi,
It depends on what kind of permission you give to the account team member using the field "Opportunity Access".
If there is some access like Rad-only, full etc, the opportunity team by default inhertis account team whenever an opportunity is created.
If there is no access "blank", then it doesn't inherit.
After inherting, you can still remove the member @ opportunity level.
But later if some one adds / modifies account team, then automatically all opportunity team members are synchronized again (removed user will reappear).
But if there are some additional users added @ opportunity level but not present @ the account level, they are retained
Hope it helps

  • Setting Opportunity Access and Contact Access to null in Account Team

    Hi,
We can set the the Opportunity Access and Contact Access to blank/null manually in the application but is it possible to set these to blank using import?
    Thanks,
    Teena

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. We have tried updating a record through Account Team > Import > Overwrite Existing Records where the Contact Access and Opportunity Access fields were blank. The import was successfull but the fields were not updated, they are still set to Full access. We used the Account EUID in the import file.

  • Opportunity Team Role equal to Account Team Role

In CRMOD, I know that within the Company profile, and have the following check box checked: Enable Parent Team Inheritance, then the User Role is carried down. Example, I have an account with an account team. I then go and create an opportunity from that account and the team is carried over, the roles are also carried over.
What I'm trying to discover on how to do is how to have that same feature for Team Roles. Would this be a workflow, or a setting that needs to be enabled, or some type of default value?
    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

  • JoinFieldValue for Account Team

    Hi,
I am in Opportunities, and I want to call to an Account Team field (the email of the user that is in the account team). Do you know how can I do it?, or how to use the JoinFieldValue in this case?
    Thanks,
    Francisco.

I don't think you can access Account Team from Opportunity. You can only access fields from Account object.
JoinFieldValue works based on the RowId value.

  • Account Team Members and access to Open and Closed Activities

Is there not a way to allow account team members access to view other members on the teams activities?

If you are the owner of the pertinent Account, then for the other users on the Account Team, the Default Access Profile would be applicable, which you should change.
For the Account record type, the access level can be kept as anything (read only, read/edit or read/edit/delete). In the related information for the Account record type, have the access levels of Completed and Open Activities as View.
So, if you add the account team members in the Users section in the Account activities, the activities (appointments/task) would appear in each of the user’s calendars and tasks section.

  • Account Team Upload

    Hello,
we upload AccountTeam via Webservice because it is the only possibility to upload Custom Access Profiles.
We have a problem at the moment with a field that we even do not have on the object. It is the PositionId.
I do see the field only in the webservice and I do not know for what this is used for.
I queried some values and have different Ids but I do not see a logic behind.
Required field is missing in instance of Integration Component 'Account_Account Team' with the user key '[Id] = "XXXX-2EDJU7"':
'Position Id' is a required field. Please enter a value for the field. (SBL-DAT-00498)(SBL-EAI-04389)
    Kind Regards,

    Hi,
Under the ADMIN >> Application Customization >> Account Team Field Setup identify the required fields and ensure that your SOAP request includes all of these fields populated, as far as my understanding goes you need to ensure that UserAlias is mandatory by default but normally "TeamRole" and "AccountAccess" would may be mandatory as well.
Not sure with PositionId field though but I think this field is calculated by OD internally on filling all the mandatory fields.
    Hope this help :)

  • Account Team Maintenance

    Hi,
Is there a way to maintain Account Teams, add/update/delete members, using Web Services? When I download the Account WSDL I see the Account Team property/datatype and believe I can populate the list with an Account Query - I am already pulling a list of contacts using the query.
Basically I need to move people around because they are being pulled off some accounts and put on others. We don't use CRM OnDemand territory assignment features.
I have a note from support on how to do this with User Groups and a "dummy" account, but I was hoping to build a C# app to do the same and reduce the chances for error in the future.
Any ideas? Note: I'm new to Web Services development and C# - just started yesterday, but I do know how to write C and OO programs.
    Thanks,
    Bill

  • How to make Account managers owners of Accounts through Account teams

    Hi,
I've got a question regarding loading data. In my organisation only the admin can load new accounts. Account managers however are responsible of the accounts after the initial load. I want to use the account team funtionality (and not add an 'owner field' to the Account layout). But if I do that, it seems that I can only report (reports which deal with account/other relationships) on the intitial loader as owner and not on the account team.
    So my question is:
Is it possible to remove the initial loader from the Account Team and make someone else main responisble, so I can report on them?
I hope you guys can help me with my request. We're going live with our system in 2 days so all help will be appreciated!
    Kind regards
    Vincent

    Hee guys,
I'm kinda still stuck with the previous question. What do you do when Account managers (owners of accounts) change? I can't seem to remove current owners of accounts but can only add other Account managers to my Accounts.
Does anyone how I can remove and change current owners?
I hope you can help me out!
    Kind regards
    Vincent

  • CRM and GWI: Where to define an account team?

    Hey experts,
I´ve a question about the clientbased gwi, where you´re able to set several profile parameters. one of such a parameter  is DonwloadContactsFromCRM.
in the sap description is it described with: "Contacts of Account: Download Contacts for which the logged-in SAP CRM user belongs to the account team to which the contact is assigned."
so, actually it should be possible that a sap crm user is referred to an account team and this account team could be assigned to some customers.
from my point of view, the gwi checks if the sap user in an account team followed by the check if an account team is assigned to an account. the result is, that the account is transferred to outlook.
but, where can I define such an account team in sap crm???? or isnt it possible? but, why is it described in that way?
hope someone is able to help me.
    thank you very much!

  • How to Send Email to entire Account Team??

    Newbie here.
I'm trying to create a Workflow that sends a notification email to ALL members of the Account Team of an Account when a new Contact has been associated to the Account.
    Is this even possible?
If so, what would the syntax be for the TO: expression in the workflow notification action?
Also, as added value, I was hoping to EXCLUDE the current user from getting the email IF they are on the Account Team. I understand that would change the syntax of the expression I requested above, but I'd be happy with either solution.
    Thanks in advance.
    -ms

    Hi,
If you select "Relative User on Record" in the To field, you then have the option to select a team role.
All users that have that team role will receive an email notification when the workflow is triggered.
I got this from MOS [ID 604706.1|https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=NOT&doctype=FAQ&id=604706.1]
you can then create another workflow rule for your other role and so on...
    hope that helps...
    Cheers!

  • Comparing Account Team to Contact Team

    Hello,
I have some account teams and contact teams that are not matching up. What I would like to do is run a report to compare these and display the Account Team members that don't appear on a Contact Team to the corresponding account. Is this possible?

  • Remove existing (Account) Team Member

    Hi Gurus,
There are about 500 Account records where we want to purge or remove old Account team member (Account > Account related information section > Account Team), and replace them with new Account team members. Is it possible to remove existing team members in one shot? (We were told this can be acheived via Web Services And unfortunately, we dont have Web Services team supporting us.)
    Thanks in advance!!!

  • Renaming of object "Account Team"

    Dear all,
i didn´t find the place to rename "Account Team" related to Accounts. Is it possible and if so where ?
    Thanks a lot,
    regards Juergen

Juergen, at this time it is not possible to rename the Account Team. However, if you rename the Account object to another value such as Customer then it will show Customer Team.

  • JoinFieldValue Between account and opportunity

    Hi,
I created two fields with the same name in account and opportunty :"number of building"
The need is the following: two fields "number of building" in two objects (account and opportunity). The user will fill "number of building" in account and it must be automatically fill in "number of building" on the opportunity.
I decided to create a JoinFieldValue in "number of building" opportunity field.
    JoinFieldValue('<Account>',[<AccountId>],'<iNombre_btiments_ITAG>')
And I ticked the postdefault box.
The issue is the following: when I fill the "number of building" in the account object, it doesn't fill automatically the "number of building" in the opportunity...
Do I need to create a workflow?
Can someonge help me on this issue?
    Thank you,
    Regards

The solution you describe will work when a new Opportunity is created and associated to an existing Account which already has a value in this field.
Keep in mind that default values only get addressed upon record creation - updating the record (or associated record) will do nothing.
You can use workflow to update the field value later using a Before Modified Record Saved trigger event on Opportunity. In this scenario, every time the Opportunity is updated it could grab the field value from the related Account.
What you CAN"T do is what you describe below - have an update on the Account record trigger a field update on a child record. Just doesn't work that way. Your only option would be web services.
BTW - this is not an Analytics question, so you should post to the Administrator forum.
