for accounting software with OS X 10.7.4? what is recommended?

Hi m,
The very first 17" with an Intel (has Core Duo, needs C2D) will not work, and any which are released with an OS later than 10.7.4 probably will not work.

At your earliest convenience, please advise what version for asdm works best?

ASDM 7.3(1) is recommended for your platform running the version you mentioned.
It's the recommended release for most current ASA hardware and software combinations - reference the ASA Compatibility document.

  • Is it possible to use a different Adobe account to the one you downloaded the software with on a machine with it not screwing with another versions on that account?

I  have 2 adobe accounts, one is my CS5 student license on my mac and one is as a CC trial on this PC.
The trial has run out and I want to buy the CC subscription for my PC but I cant because I signed up with a wrong email address for this account so cant log in to buy it and Adobe customer services are taking over 24 hours to get back to me.
For reference heres a better idea of my situation:
    https://forums.adobe.com/message/7480974#7480974
Is it possible to buy the CC on my account associated with the account/software on my Mac onto this computer? (On that account I have already done the 30 day trial and also had it for under 30 days before cancelling CC and going back to CS5).
Or is it only possible to install the software with the specific account you signed up with? As when I have access to my Mac I would like to still use my CS5 on that but CC on this PC.(I really don't want to risk somehow screwing it up so I cant use my CS5)
    Thanks a lot
    V

In case the email is incorrect & it can not be verified then you can abandon that Adobe id, if you have purchased CC with incorrect Email, then you need to get the CC cancelled & buy a new CC with correct Email ID.
Please personally inbox me the incorrect Email ID for further investigations.

  • Interface with Xero Accounting Software

    Hi,
I am looking for anyone who has experience in an API interface with BC and Xero accounting software.

    Hi Patrick,
Just wondering if you had any success with your Xero integration? I'm looking to implement the same thing and would love to be pointed in the right direction.
Onesaas are currently redeveloping their method, so that is not an option at the moment.

  • Which accounting software is compatible with MacBook ?

I am willing to buy a macbook but i use tally 5.4 presently as an accounting software. If it does not work, kindly let me know the name of the software or also the software requirements.

Tally 5.4 does not run on a Mac. It is possible to run Windows software on a Mac using Bootcamp ( http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1461 ) or Parallels ( http://www.parallels.com ) but I'm not sure I would go that direction if your current accounting software is going to be the primary use. If you are planning to change accounting software, it is normally a good idea to first decide on what software you need and then look to see what hardware it will best run on. You can get a good idea of available accounting software for a mac by doing an internet search for something like "accounting software for mac."

  • HT4437 I want to develop a software with AirPaly service for business things. How can I get the permission from Apple?

I want to develop a software with AirPaly service for business things. How can I get the permission from Apple?
This one is used in Windows laptop, and I want it support AirPlay service, but Apple doesn't publish the AirPlay protocol.
    Many thanks.

Create a developer account, then access he developers forums and see if you can find the information that way
The other option would be to simply contact Apple directly.

  • Accounting-software using XServe's over different locations

    Good evening,
I am trying to set up something with Mac OS X 10.6. I'll put down a situation, and I would like to know what is the best software-package for that situation.. I hope you guys can help me!
    SITUATION:
There is a company with three locations. One office in the Netherlands, one in France and one in Switzerland. All of the locations have a complete Apple-network and are running on a XServe for backup, mail, calenders, wiki and data-sharing. Now here is what they need, they want an Accounting-software package so that it is possible for them to interact with the other locations. Like when you are in Switzerland where Miss A. is filling in a new customer and an Invoice for that customer. That Mister B. in the Netherlands almost immediately sees the new record. And Miss C. in France can see it as well. (You guys know what I mean)
Does anyone have a good suggestion for me? I know we can use something like FileMaker, but that's too complicated I think, I'd like something more easy just as Checkout. Simple, fast and usable over the three locations.
    Thanks in advance!
    With kind regards,
    FRSAU

If I were you, I would contact Apple to discuss your requirements. Try opening up an online dialogue with http://www.apple.com/support/expert/ and see if they can refer you to the appropriate resources within Apple to help you.

  • Business Accounting Software Users -- Opinions Needed, Please

I'm looking to switch my small business accounting software from an older, Windows version of QuickBooks to my Mac. My initial thought was simply to buy QuickBooks Pro 2006 for Mac, but I've read many negative reviews of the software. The only viable alternative seems to be MYOB software, but I've not read many good reviews of that product, either.
Could those of you who are currently using your Mac for small business accounting please share your experience. What program you use, pros and cons, etc. I'm looking for fairly basic software that will allow me to do invoicing, some bill paying, electronic tracking of my checking account.
    Thanks for any input.
    iMacG5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi, Jim.
I wrote my own in FileMaker Pro.
Macworld recently published a brief online review of MYOB's AccountEdge 2006 and FirstEdge 2.0, as well as QuickBooks Pro 2006. The MYOB products edge out QuickBooks Pro in their review. Click here to read the reviews.
My Mac-using friends and clients prefer MYOB products, especially when they also have accounting backgrounds. QuickBooks Pro is generally considered the easier to use, but those I've talked with who have accounting backgrounds consider it a bit too "dumbed down" for their tastes and see MYOB's offerings as worth the setup and some learning for the functions provided.
Last I checked, both firms had "try before you buy" offers, enabling you to "test drive" each and decide for yourself. Often it's better to test-drive the applications yourself rather than rely on any review or recommendation.
MYOB and QuickBooks are the heavy-hitters in this market segment. You might find other shareware or commercial solutions by searching MacUpdate or Version Tracker. The user-submitted reviews accompanying the listings on those sites can be helpful in sorting the wheat from the chaff.
    Good luck!

  • Accounting software for small trucking company

I have been looking for accounting software specific to the truckin industry for mac.  I really don't want to go back to a PC just for this.  I can't seem to find anything at all...
    Any feedback would be appreciated...

Industry-specific accounting and business management software is quite specialized and tends to the platform the most companies run, which even after all the gains in Mac market share is still Windows. So it's quite likely that the only software you'll find for the trucking industry is for Windows. That won't preclude you from keeping your Mac, though, if you have an Intel-based Mac. You can run Windows and Windows software on it either by Boot Camp (which runs a bit faster but requires you to reboot your Mac to switch) or one of the virtualization solutions (VMWare Fusion, Parallels Desktop, VirtualBox) which run Windows within Mac OS X and so doesn't require rebooting. You don't get quite as good performance with virtualization, but for an accounting package it should be more than sufficient.

  • Call Accounting Software for CUCM

    Hey,
Hey my company formerly used RSI Accounting solution with our CUCM Version 9 system, but we are looking to explore alternative third party solutions. The new call accounting software should be:
1)A Cisco Certified Developer Partner or Preferred Solution
    2) Compatible with all versions of CUCM( 7x-10x)
    3) Has ability to generate rich informative summary call cost reports
    4) We have multiple phone carriers and we need the software to be able to customize the call tariff rates to mirror as close as possible our local tariffs to be able to have accurate call costing
    5) The software provider must have good technical support in case of problems during installation or normal operation.
    6) send email alerts if any user is abusing company phone calls and be able to identify toll fraud events or prank calling
Can anyone suggest any Cisco Partner party who satisfies the above criteria. I would appreciate any feedback.Thanks.

  • Windows based accounting software QUICK BOOKS can run on Mac OS X Lion??????

windows based accounting software QUICK BOOKS can run on Mac OS X Lion??????

Oops! Sorry pmittal. Completely missed that you said "windows" at the beginning of your post. Thomas is absolutely correct. Intuit is like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde with QuickBooks. The Windows Pro version is full of features. You pay the same amount for the Mac Pro version, but it is severely crippled in comparison.
Believe it or not, Intuit actually has a company policy that the Mac version will never be feature compatible with the Windows version. How's that for treating paying customers as less than second rate! Wish I were making that up, but it's true. Read the blog link. In particular:
Forget the fact that Intuit’s Mac products have always paled in comparison to their Windows counterparts by missing 90% of the features that Windows users have long enjoyed. Forget the fact that Intuit has worked overtime to make sure that their Mac & Windows products would never be cross-platform compatible (this is an internal corporate rule at Intuit).
And this, later in the article:
Many years before QuickBooks was resurrected for the Mac in 2006, a smug Intuit employee at Macworld Expo told me, “We don’t need to update QuickBooks, because it’s still the No. 1 best-selling accounting package for Mac. Mac users still purchase it, even without any new updates.” Seems like their attitude hasn’t changed much.
I know most folks consider blogs unreliable, but I first read this same information at a much more reliable site, I just can't seem to locate it again.
Despite all that, I do use QuickBooks for Mac. Why? One, that's what I started with for my small business because "QuickBooks" is what you always hear to use. I had no idea at the time how crippled it was. Good news (for me) there is that it does more than everything I need, seeing as how I don't need much for an in-home business. Two, my accountant is much happier when he comes over to finalize entries that he already basically knows the program instead of having to wade through something completely unfamiliar, such as the greatly superior AccountEdge (There are two Mac accounting programs with this exact same name. One is pretty expensive, the other is fairly cheap). The one linked to in the blog is the less expensive version, with the Basic version going for $99.
I'd consider switching, but the other packages can't import QuickBooks data. Or at least not accurately. I have too many years of data invested in QuickBooks to consider trying to switch now. One of the other Mac accounting packages offer (or used to) a service to translate your data at so much per record. Well, with thousands of records, that would cost hundreds of dollars. Forget it. So I'm kind of stuck, like it or not. The only real way out of it is to run Windows in a VM and import my Mac QuickBooks data into the Windows version. But since the Mac version does do all I need, that would be rather pointless.

  • Legal Billing and Trust Accounting Software

Are there legal billing, including trust accounting, software that has a Blackberry Application?  I don't mean just able to access a cloud based program when within internet range, but a program that can run on the Blackberry Z10 and then be able to sync with one's desktop computer either through a direct hookup or when internet access is obtained.  Timeslips used to have this for palm devices, but stopped short there.
