I have bought a secong hand iphone 4s on start up it says its linked to an account the seller says its been removed how do i fix this?

When setting up an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 7, you may be asked to provide a previous owner's Apple ID and password because the device is still linked to their account with Find My iPhone Activation Lock. I have learned a hard lesson since Apple security is impregnable, my iPhone 4S will just be an expensive paper weight.no.

The only option is to contact that person to have them remove Activation Lock from the iPhone. They can do it online and do not have to come to you. Check out the article below for more information.

Sorry, there is nothing you can do until the device is removed from the sellers Apple ID.

You need to find out who the carrier was in Switzerland and see if they will unlock the device. The carrier with the lock is the only one that can authorize the unlock. You may need to check with the original owner and see if they can get it unlocked by the carrier if you do not qualify.

I cannot activatea second hand iphone 4s as i don't have previous owners itunes ID. I can't get anything on the phone after setting the language as its asking for activation. Please can anyone help ???? Ideally i would like to get it back to factory settings and start afresh but right now i would settle for anything. Unfortunately, the only one who can help is the previous owner. Otherwise you will not be able to activate and use the phone. Apple can't/won't help you with this either.

There is no reliable place to buy any second-hand iPhone other than from someone you know personally. There is no way to know for certain that any iPhone you buy from a stranger isn't jailbroken, stolen, or reported lost and replaced (and hence probably blocked by the carrier). The only reliable place to buy an iPhone is from Apple or an authorized iPhone dealer.

The phone may be locked with a passcode. If it is, follow the directions here, to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it:

This will remove the passcode, but also update the phone to iOS 7.0.4...no way around this if there's a passcode on the phone. If no passcode, just do the erase all settings & content if you don't want to update the phone.

Apple will not give you information about the original owner. Take it back to whoever you bought it from. -
