Accual/Deferral Document Error

Hi All,
I'm getting the following error message when I'm tryng to post a document in FBS1 (Enter Accrual/Deferral Document)
Reason 01 does not permit a later reversal. Correction required.
Message no. F5764
I get this error message for all the reason codes except for 05 - Accrual /DeferralPosting.
Please help me with this.

Srilakshmi,
FBS1 is used to enter Accrual/Deferral document, which will be eventually reversed. All accruals done at period/month end will be(mandatory) reversed after the period close.
So 05 is ok to be used to posting it.
The T Code to reverse these is f.81

Hi All,
I had an accrual/deferral document(FBS1) posted in December, 2006 which was stated for reversal on 15th January, 2007. This reversal was to be done automatically by the system but due to some problem at that time, it didn't get reversed.
I am using FB02 to remove the Reversal date. I got the message SUM OF ACCOUNTS DOES NOT EQUAL ZERO. I have changed some document with the same procedure. But only one gives me this message.
I don't understand that I am not changing any amounts, then why its giving me above message.
Any suggestions on how we can clear these open items? I will assign points

As you have noticed by system design that indeed the options for Park or Hold are not available
(greyed out) for accrual documents (FBS1).
The apparent reason is because an accural document requires a reversal
date and a held document cannot handle a reversal posting.
You may want to consider using the "post with reference" feature to
simplify the tasks of reentering accrual/deferral documents which occur
every month.
In adition, please read note 492006:
'Special transactions such as FBB1, FBS1, FB41 cannot and must not be
parked since subsequent processing using FBV0 is not possible.'

Cannot open document (Error: INF)

We have migrated reports from version Business Objects 6.5.1 to Business Objects XI 3.1 SP2. We have been receiving sporadic 'Cannot open document (Error: INF)' now and again whenever you open Desktop Intelligence reports using Infoview. Have any other users come across this issue using BOXI 3.1 SP2. I do not believe that this issue occurred on SP1.
This error is very frustrating.
I have browsed various forums and implemented changes which have had no effect whatsoever including the SAP Marketplace.
We are also receiving SetPrompts Failed errors. When a report is opened in Infoview and you refresh a report, a blank dialog appears with a red cross. if you refresh the report again then the SetPrompts Failed error appears. I have evene made changes according to article 1364437 based on this error and this has not resolved the issue.

We're on BOXI3.1 SP2 aswell and we have had the same sporadic issue - Cannot open document for Deski reports. This is causing some serious concern amongst our users over system stability.
You can recreate the situation by shutting down the InputFileRepository server and you get the same message. I've noticed that when this happens there is a mesage in the fcproc log file 'm_repFileMgr.Download failed'
My theory is that there may be some congestion in linking between the desktopintelligence server and the inputfilerepository. In addition, we had some logging on the fileserver and at the time of the error there was no mention of the report that failed or any error. We contacted SAP about this but did not get a satisfactory response. There were some heavily utilised DESKi reports which we managed to convert to Webi to take the load off and we also dropped the timeout to 20 minutes (not brilliant but it did mean that if we got the message the users wouldn't have to wait too long before it was resolved in case they couldn't get hold of IT).
I also upped the parameter for Maximum Retries for File Access in case it was having problems getting the file.
The result of this was that the error appeared to go away... until yesterday!!!
Any further insights welcome.

"...not a valid Photoshop document" error when opening Mac cc file on PC

I get a "Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document." error message whenever I try to open up a PSD file created on a Mac using Photoshop CC on my PC using CC. Other people have been able to open the file from the same location, so the files aren't corrupted. Anyone know how to fix this?

I know this thread is a bit old, but I wanted to share my experience and solution in case anyone else runs into this.
The other day, I spent many hours editing some photos for a client. I saved them all and closed Photoshop. When I tried to open the .PSDs, they all came up with this "Not a valid Photoshop document" error. I was freaking out. I could see the thunmbnails and previews with the MacOS Finder and could see the images just fine in Lightroom, but couldn't open them in Photoshop CC.
Finally, I remembered that these were NOT supposed to be .psd files! They were supposed to be TIFFs. What happened was, when I edited them from within Lightroom into Photoshop, they opened as TIFFs. However, when I did "save as", I wanted to name them similarly to some other files I had. I clicked on one of the existing files to copy the file name in the Save As dialog to make it easier to name the new file I was saving, but I didn't realize it was changing the file extention from ".tif" to ".psd" as well. The older MacOS (version 9 and earlier) didn't rely on file extensions fo identifying file types, so it didn't hit me right away that this would be the problem. When I changed the incorrect .psd file extension to .tiff, the files opened in Photoshop just fine.
SO... if you run into this "Not a valid Photoshop document" error, try figuring out if it's actually another file type (.jpg, .tif, .png, etc) by either getting the file info from another program or just experimenting with different file extensions. Chances are good that your file isn't actually corrupt, but just named improperly!

Reversing accrual/deferral document after stated reversal date

I had an accrual/deferral document posted in Feb, 2006 which was stated for reversal on 15th march, 2006. This reversal was to be done automatically by the system but due to some problem at that time, it didnt get reversed. We couldnt reverse it once the reversal date went by so we posted a GL document (FB50) with opposite line items to negate the effect.
Now its March, 2007 and we want to knock these two line items from open-item mgmt accounts as it still shows these items as open. If we can reverse the originally posted accrual/deferral document it can be done. But since the posting period for march, 2006 is now close we cant find a way to reverse it.
Any suggestions on how we can clear these open items?

Use t code FB02. Enter required parameters and press enter. From the menu slect Extras - Document header. This will take you to next screen. In this screen from the menu select GoTo Document Header. Change the reversal date and save.

last time I face this one but suddenly disappear during testing, now we once again face this issue. As all users are member of group 'EveryOne' if we add any user membership to administrator group / master group this error resolved for this user.but that is not proper solutions, so far i m unable to find the rights which is lacking to all user for these report which are available in each user infoview and causing these errors while viewing.

You might need to give read rights to the folder and category this report belongs to???
If the problem is fixed when the user who is viweing is an administrator, this means there is insufficient privileges for the other users.

Large XML Document Error

We are using Oracle's XSQL servlet engine 9.0.2.0.0A to query an Oracle Database using xsql:include-owa. This xsql document uses a custom serializer to write the resulting XML to a file on the webserver. We have run into a problem with writing XML documents larger than approximatly 7MB. The file is written but just contains a Malformed XML Document error. We have tried tracking down the problem and it seems to be occuring before the custom serializer is given control of the document. Attached below is the xsql document and the Java source of our serializer if it would be of any help.

Technically DBMS_XMLSAVE and it's alter ego DBMS_XMLQUERY are not considered part of XML DB. DBMS_XMLSAVE and DBMS_XMLQUERY are legacy Java implementations.
In 9.2.x these routines were replaced by DBMS_XMLSTORE and DBMS_XMLGEN which are written in 'C' and should be much faster in most cases and address a number of limitations inherant in the older implementations. DBMS_XMLSTORE and DBMS_XMLGEN are part of XML DB and the minimum supported release for XML DB is 9.2.0.3.0.

thru FBS1 here u can give the reversal reason reverse date( u can give next month 1 ex 01.02.2009)

deferral document
Interest receivable account dr(40)

at the time of reversal thru F.81
here enter company code fiscal year reverse posting date and select execute(F8) button and select once againg reverse the posting button automatically above transactions are reversed like salaries payable dr and salaries a/c cr etc.

Preparing to Upgrade to LiveCycle® ES from 7.x document error: page 85, when configuring the JMS with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 for JBoss 4.0.3 SP1. Step 5: Modifiy <local-tx datasource> element ..... <connection-url> jdbc:microsoft.sqlserver ..... <c/onnection-url>, in mssql-ds.xml file:
Should be: <connection-url>jdbc:sqlserver://.... </connection-url>
Notice the word "microsoft" needs to be removed as this is SQL 2005, not SQL 2000.
Also, in the same JMS configue file, com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver should be changed to com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver as the driver-class.

Reversal of Accural/Deferral Documents

Hi All,
I have posted the Accrual /Defferal Document using T Code FBS1 for the period 10/09/2010 with the reversal reason 5 and reversal date 02/10/10 .
Legal Expenses a/c dr 5000
Vendor A/c cr 5000
Afterwards on 02/10/10 when i try to run the reversal of Accrual /Deferral documents T code F.81 it gives me the message No list generated.
I have done the required setups in the spro for Accrual defferal as follows.
Define the Assign company codes
Assign Account principle to company codes
Define Accrual Types.
Please guide the further action ...........................

I have not made any configurations for accrual posting. Just made an entry in FBS1 with reason 5 and a reversal date. On that date, the reversal was carried out too.
Just check the following -
- the document has not already been reversed.
- the document type used has a reverse document type assigned (OBA7)

Express document error in VF01 while doing individual billing

Hi,
My Functional consultant is getting an "express document error" for the transaction VF01. I checked SM13 and its showing error message as " Error updating table J_1ipart2". How to resolve this issue ?
We are getting express document error only for the individual billing functionality .

Check the following notes:-
1) Note 1178497 - Dr/Cr indicator not updated in Part2 table for CEIV in J1IIN
2) Note 1544355 - Error in updating table J_1IPART2 - J1IV transaction

Adobe Reader 10/10.1 document error when scrolling in IE

I have Adobe Reader 10 installed on Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7, both with Internet Explorer 8. On XP, no problems. However, on Windows 7, some documents (those with multiple pages and multiple fields) get " Document error 118" when scrolling past one or two pages. I have tried this with Reader 10 and 10.1, same results on both platforms. All documents are on our intranet. Unfortunately due to some important external sites I cannot set "View PDF in Browser" to off, which solves this problem.
One additional note, the website we use (again, it's internal/local domain) shows as a trusted site in the IE notification bar at the bottom, however when a PDF is open from that web site the URL shown is part of our domain but the IE windows shows it as an unknown zone....

I am having exactly the same problem. I am using Windows 7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it is getting very frustrating.

We are getting the following error when running the Webi Reports "could not get an output file for the document (error RWI 00314)". The issue seems to be related to Tomcat Memory Heap size, our Tomcat Java heap Size is 1024MB. We were able to resolve the issue by restarting the Tomcat. We cannot restart the Tomcat in Prod if this is happening frequently.
Can some one please suggest any other solution other than restarting the Tomcat frequently, our platform is BOBJ XI 3.1 SP3 with FP 3.1 our Wndows OS is 32 Bit.

Earlier i also faced same kind of problem.
To solve this kind of problems you need to shutdown the server.
second thing is when patches missed that time also you will get this kind of problem.
check j2ee connection is it properly working or not?

Express Document Error with PO

Hi,
   I have one problem with PO modification.I am using me22n transaction code.
I am modifying any information related to a PO like tax code and then saving it.After this I come out of transaction while comming back follwing error message comes-
"Express document "Update was terminated" received from author is comming.
Can anybody help me out for why this is happening ,plz it's very urgent.

Ya I have already checked.there it is showing that following function module "MEDCM_UPDATE_REVISION" raising the error.It's not showing the exact error.
    What I am thingking is why it is happening with only few POs.I there is any error in program then it should give for all.
   I think there might be problem with PO.
   Have u come across suchkind of problems of express document error.
