ACE ANM Resource Usage Graph Data Retention
Is there a way to get more than 30 days worth of data from the Resource Usage Graphs in ANM monitoring?

The max is one month. I don't know of any way to get more than that.

ACE - Clear Resource Usage Counters
Hi everyone. I've tried clearing my resource usage counters several time by using both commands:
clear stats resource-usage
clear stats all
Neither work. The resource usage counters remain the same. Is there a workaround to this issue? I would really like to see the counters over a specific period as opposed to since last reboot.Hi Tim
The clear stats resource-usage cmd only clear the stat for Peak and Denied counter.
I tested with A3(2.2) as below and it worked ok.

When I save a project plan to my local computer from Project Online and open it up in an offline mode and access Resource Usage view I get prompted with Date Range dialog boxes with the first one saying "Show resources/assignments that start or finish
after:" and the second one with "And before:".
I don't have any filters that are setup in Project Online that are not available in offline mode to trigger these prompts.
Please let me know what could be causing the date range prompts. Thanks.Hi,
You probably retrieve an enterprise filter into your local file. Just open the organizer from MS Project, go to the filter tab (be sure to have your project selected in the drop down menu at the top left of right of the organizer) and delete the date range
filter.

Clear resource usage counter on ACE module
Hi
Does anybody know how to clear the resource usage counter on an ACE module?
We use an ACE20-MOD-K2 with version A2(3.5).
Here you can see that after issuing 'clear stats resource-usage' the counters are still the same.

What could one of the issue here is, if this box is in production and is being used, as soon as you clear the coutners, the new traffic is still flowing in, so ace will populate the new stats. if you take this box out of production then you should be able to see all the traffic gone.
Also to reinforce my previous argument, if you happen to see the stats second time, they are reduced , which will only point that the system is actively receiving and before you do a second show resource, it would have received some traffic and it will also take into account the existing traffic flow across the box.
Most likely not a Bug.

'Resource Usage' field in Planner workbench
Hi,
Currently the 'Resource Usage' field in Planner Workbench > Item > Routing Operation > Resources doesn't not display decimal places.
What do I need to change in profile option or preference or anywhere else so that atleast 1 place after decimal is display. In the database column this field has data with decimal places.

I put '1' decimal place in Capacity Plan but it didn't work. Then I entered same value in all decimal places in all tab in Preferences, then it worked.

Specified load buffer resource usage is above currently available value
Hello,
I am trying to load data into my ASO database. The .mxl and the rules file
have worked fine on the development machine but now on another PC I get this
error while executing the .mxl
Initialize load_buffer with buffer_id 3
Execution Message:
Specified load buffer resource usage [1] is above currently available valu [0]
The outline verifies fine and there is no other data in this ASO database.
Does this error mean I have to increase the available resources (how?).

There has to be something wrong with your import statement, also I am not sure why you are spooling the same file as writing the import errors as this will overwrite the file.
Here is an example of a script I just ran and it ran through without any problems.
spool on to 'C:\Out1.txt';
login admin password on localhost;
alter database 'ASObasic'.'basic' destroy load_buffer with buffer_id 2;
alter database 'ASObasic'.'basic' initialize load_buffer with buffer_id 2;
import database 'ASObasic'.'basic' data connect as 'admin' identified by 'password' using server rules_file 'DATA' to load_buffer with buffer_id 2 on error write to 'C:\Out.out';
import database 'ASObasic'.'basic' data from load_buffer with buffer_id 2 override values;
logout;
I would open a maxl window and try pasting in line by line as well.

I would like to have one project with all my others projects as tasks, but not sub projects.
There I assign resources to tasks (really other projects) and then for each project each resource is available according to this master project.
Can I manually split assignments of resources to tasks, so that for example a certain resource works 30% on one task from January 1 to March 31 - and 70% on a different task. Then from April 1 he will stop working on the first task and work 100% on the second
task.
I know this can be done manually by using sub tasks, but is it possible to do directly?
I am using MS Project 2013, (service pack 1), not server.

Have you consider using the resource usage view? This will allow you doing what you want on a single task, without having to split it into various sub-tasks. This view shows on the left part all tasks per resources with assignment fields and on the right
part a "Excel-like" timephased grid you can enter work in.
In the "view" tab of the ribbon, you can set the timescale to "week" or "month" then type directly in the grid a certain number of hours of planned work per resources per time period. Splitting your window to display the resource
graph in the bottom part is also very useful.

I am new at writing vi's and hope you may be able to help. I would like to create a vi that will graph measurements taken from a daq device. I would like to include text data that a user can choose from (example: machine number, test circuit, load cell type) that will stay with the graph so when the graph is viewed at a later time the text data (explaining parts of the graph) will display with the graph data. I have included a vi I am using to capture and display a force value. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

When you save a file, use the BUNDLE function to bundle your machine number, test circuit, whatever (include a few spare fields), plus your graph data. Get the graph data from the source, or use a local variable of the graph itself.
Wire the bundle output to the DATALOG TYPE of a NEW FILE function. (I presume you'll use a FILE DIALOG set to SAVE FILE to choose a file path).
Write the same bundle output to the DATA input of a WRITE FILE function.
Use a CLOSE FILE function to (ahem) close the file.
When you want to read a file, use a FILE DIALOG set to EXISTING FILE (or some other means) to specify what file to read. Wire the same cluster type to the DATALOG TYPE of the FILE DIALOG, so that it will only
offer files of the correct type.
When you have a file path chosen, wire the bundle to the DATALOG TYPE input of a FILE OPEN operation.
Use a FILE READ to read a single cluster - the output of FILE READ will be a cluster of the right type.
Use a CLOSE FILE function to....
Out of the FILE READ function, you can UNBUNDLE BY NAME the data and send to the graph and the other fields, or, if you're clever, you can use a cluster on the screen, and not unbundle it. That's harder though, since you probably want the text fields to be controls (inputs) and the graph to be an indicator (output).

Graph Data Labels in OBIEE 11g - Customizing
Hi folks!
Would somebody know how to select what is shown in graph data labels in OBIEE 11g?
For example in a scatter graph data label I'd like to show the Group only (not the combination of Series, Group, X and Y, as by default). For a pie chart one can select the data shown in data labels to some extent (name / value), however couldn't find this option for scatter graph.
After searching I could only find instructions for 10g - such as John's instructions at http://obiee101.blogspot.com.es/2008/01/obiee-xy-and-data-in-mouse-over-label.html.
However, my understanding is that the graph engine in OBIEE 11g is now different, and the 10g instructions are not valid for 11g anymore.
I was also having a look on the .cxml files in OBIEE 11g but those seem to relate to colors only?

Graph data causes VI file to very large
My VI reads data files with up to 500,000 data points and displays them in various formats in graphs. If I "make current values default" with all these graphs populated the file size when I save the VI is very large (72 MB). Is there any way to not save the all the graph data with the VI and just the parameters so that the VI starts the same way the next time I open it to process a new set of data? I don't need all the graphs to be populated when I start again.

Be aware that you don't have to make eveything default. You can programmatically set only the necessary items to Default with a property node when the program starts and/or ends. My point being, you shouldn't have to "make current values default" then save.

" Server Error [2009]: Failed to allocate resources for results data" IR Error
Hi,
We recently moved form 9.3.3. to 11.1.2.3 and we run only IR and SQR reports. When we run few IR reports we get the below error.
"Script(x):uncaught exception: Server Error [2009]: Failed to allocate resources for results data."
Any thought on what could be the cause. I changed the DSA setting, HTTP config settings for timeouts. I followed a oracle Knowledge base document to make sure I'm setting the right parameters still it doesn't work.
Any advise will be appreciated.

Please go to Navigate -> Administer -> Reporting and Analysis -> Web Applications -> Right click on RA_FRAMEWORK_LWA and select Properties. A
Window pops up. In that, go to Applications tab and then go to Data Access Servlet. There are two values there
i) Hyperion Intelligence Client Polling Time(seconds) => Set this to zero
ii) DAS Response Timeout => Set this to 3600
Restart the R&A services and WebApp after this change.

I have a Table Data which 5 columns, 1 string column and 4 double columns with header name. I try to graph the data in excel based on example from NI. When I use the data from NI example instead of my Data Table then it works. I research on convert 1D to 2D Array but I could not be able to do it.

There are numerous ways to graph data in LabVIEW. Have you looked at the shipping examples and in the LabVIEW Help, or in the controls palette? You have a waveform chart, a waveform graph, and an XY graph. You can also have picture graphs. Is the source data a text file or an Excel workbook? If it's a text file you can use Read From Spreadhsheet File to read the file into a 2D array of strings. You can then convert the 1st column into time information, and the remaining columns into numerics. Please take a look at the examples. If you are still having problems, then post back what you have tried, and please provide an example of the data file you are trying to read and graph. -

I would not recommend to change this setting. One major problem you get will be that the archiving function will delete data from database (which has been transferred to the archive). So far so good, that´s one of the archiving features
But it sometimes happens that you have to open an already closed fiscal year again. And if you open this last closed fiscal year again, the realtime transactions could fail now if data (transactions, etc.) is missing which exists only in the archive at that point of time.
By the way, you can have a look at SAP note 389920, in there the archiving functionality is documented for FI-AA application.
