Ace Software is not compatible error

I am using the the ace32.dll for address validation from within a VB6 app. We are in the process of upgrading to version 8. We have created a new folder a put all of the updated .dir files and other support files in. I put the new version of the ace32.dll in the system32 directory overwriting the previous version. When I try to run the VB app I now get an error that says the "ace32.dll can not be found". If I put back the previous version of the ace32.dll I get an error that says "ace software is not compatible with the version of your intalled directories". I would appreciate any ideas you might have as to what I am missing.

Hi,
I recenty up downloaded the new software on my iphone and Ipad. Now I cannot plug into itunes on my Mac. It said the software is not compatible. I have tried to udgrade my itunes and download the lastes version, but apparently my Mac (brought in 2007) is not compatible with the new itunes. Im really not happy about the situation as you will appreciate as now I cannot update music, photo's etc.
Can someone please help? what can I do? I dont think its fair that I should have to spend money on upgrading anything just because I upgraded to the new iphone software.

I need a prior version of firefox...version 1.5 because my payroll department software is not compatible with firefox 6.0... how do I get the other - older - version ??

I would hope the problem is that Firefox 5 is not compatible with some of McAfee's additional add-ons. It will be rather worrying if it has a problem with the McAfee security programs themselves. Please state exactly which software and version you are having problems with.
There are known issues with McAfee's Site Advisor [/questions/839953#answer-205178] but it is hoped McAfee will solve that in a few weeks.

Why is my ipod touch saying "backup corrupt or not compatible" error message?

My iPod touch has been fine for years and I only really add new music sporadically. Now I am getting an error message saying that it cannot back up my iPod because it is corrupt or not compatible with the iPod. I have already done a factory reset and it still has not fixed the issue.

Did you try deleting the existing backup?
iTunes>Preferences>Devices and select that backup and click on Delete?

When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and/or product number of the HP computer in question. HP makes hundreds of TouchSmart models that are all different. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving your issue.

Import NOT COMPATIBLE error

The error I get when installing an import file from APEX to XE is:
NOT COMPATIBLE (your export may contain calls which are not supported by your application)
I have tried exporting from both my apex.oracle.com workspace and the version of apex I have on a local machine (Application Express 2.2.1.00.04). I get the same results in both cases when I try to import into an Oracle Express Edition on another local machine.
I understand from other forum posts that the issue is probably incompatibility between my Apex and XE. What I need to know is how do I get past this? What is the fix? Upgrade XE? a special export process? Rebuild the application in XE manually? (OUCH!)
Any insights are appreciated.

KarenYou are probably using a 2.2 specific feature that XE is finding. You may need to go through app you are exporting and see what you are using..

Getting "file not compatible" error on my Samsung Galaxy

Hi,
I have just recently got the lastest version of Adobe Photoshop and when I try to install it on my samsung galaxy it just says that this file is not compatible, anyone got any ideas how to resolve this problem

I suppose you are using the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Normally if you can install it over the Market Web interface it should be compatible - you shouldn't even be able to see it in the Market app unless you are compatible.
Do you get the error from the Market application or when trying to start the application - i.e. does the application exist on your device?
It would also be good to know the exact model number as well as language you're using and what country your in.
What you could try out would be to clear the Market cache and then retry the install.

CS5 file is not compatible error

Hi, I'm sick of my computer problems...
So I'm trying to make an animation, I'm using about 4 or more video layers in order to do so, and I noticed this issue.
I save my file, and then try to reopen it and it gives me this error.
Why? Should this not be fixed? Or how can I fix it? I would really appreciate it because I have a deadline ^_^
I also tested it, I tried remaking the same thing, saved it as a different file name and kept the same one open, I try to open the saved file into photoshop and gives me the same issue.
- I also checked my HDD with checkdisk, no errors, what do you know
- I can also see the image clearly in Adobe Bridge, hello file I can't open.
- I tried to open the file on CS4 32-bit on my other computer, and guess what, it works fine and opened fine without issue. Why?

I work in the 32bit version, but I have both versions installed (32 and 64 bit) I feel more comfortable working in 32 bit, the files will not open in64 bit either.
If there's a way to fix this stupid issue, let me know thank you very much.

1) Make sure you installed all the updates for Photoshop CS5. The current version is 12.0.4.
My guess is that you are still on 12.0.0.
2) Check your disk for problems/corruption.

IPhone's own dock generating "not compatible" error

Ok, we've all seen the "this accessory is not compatible... would you like to switch to airplane mode" error. But now the iPhone dock itself is generating this error. It's plugged into my Mac Mini and seems to sync ok, but the error keeps coming up and it's annoying. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?

Not sure, but I think it has to do with the phone not being seated correctly on the base. Maybe try without the base?

Firmware not compatible error

Ive been trying to update my iPhone 4 OS. To 5
It is 4.3.3 now
Each time I've tried, I get the error that my firmware is not compatible.
I've tried to restore---- first-- same error code
Deleted preferences on my computer (pc) and tried again----- same error
I just wanna update.... Any ideas??

I cannot run Airport Setup Assistant as the software is not compatible with my version of OS

Bought a pair of Airport Express adaptors to link to (a) a BOSE sounddock and (b) one of my TV's to stream music etc.
Installed the software but my Mac Mini tells me v4.2 is not compatible with my version of OSX.
When going to apps | utilities I only have Airport Admin Utility (which won't run) and Airport Utility which runs, but doesn't find either of the fuly powered up and plugged in Airport Express devices.
At the moment, this is an expensive waste of time. How do I upgrade my software so that I can use these devices in the same way that I already use my Apple TV?

If you are running OS X 10.6.7, then you will want to use the AIrPort Utility that came with this operating system to administer your AirPort Express Base Stations (AX).
Try temporarily connecting them, one at a time, to your Mac using an Ethernet cable, and then, use the AIrPort Utility to configure them.

File Not Compatible Error - CS4

I cannot open a PSD file I was working on the day before.
I get 'Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop'
I created this file using CS4 and was opening yesterday fine.
This has never happened with PS files before.

I saved on my HD
It looks to be about the right size.
I did do some moving around of the folder it was in, andc it uses vector smart objects. I wonder if that screwed it up. So I placed it back where it was originally and still no such luck.
I havn't checked for disk failures. Is that in utilities? My computer has been acting very strange lately (not sleeping when closed, powering uo the HD for no reason etc)\

Blackberry Desktop Software hangs ("not responding" error)

I have a Bold 9780 and Blackberry Desktop Software 7, and suddenly the desktop application juts hangs and freezes when I try to launch it. I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling, going to earlier DM versions, registrry cleans, the lot, and nothing seems to work. Any ideas? At present I cannot synch my BB, which is very frustrating.

You seem perhaps to already have tried at least some of what is discussed in this thread, but I cannot tell if you've truly tried it all...therefore, I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
Otherwise, it really sounds like you have some major conflict or issues with your Windows OS itself. While quite rare, it's not unheard of needing to completely reinstall Windows so as to get things working well. But, before you resort to that, you should do all of the normal Windows stuff -- Windows updates, check all of your apps for updates, run registry cleansers, run full virus scans, run malware detectors, etc. etc. etc. This very much sounds like a PC/Windows problem more than a Desktop Software problem.

Scanjet G4050 Doesn't Scan - Software Component not found error message

Problem:
I have installed and un/installed the software for this Scanjet G4050. It aways completes the installation successful. All seems fine until I push the SCAN Buttion on the scanner. It launchs the software then abruptly displays an Error! window which says "A required software component was not found..." then says to reinstall the software. I unistall the software and reinstall with exact same results at least 4 times. I have downloaded the lastest software from the download HP web page with exact results. The error info listed is 8,[(8,0,0)].
The COPY button and software works. I can scan preview the same photo in the copy mode, crop it, etc. and print it, but the SCAN button always fails with the Error! message. I think I can throw this HP Scanjet G4050 scanner a good 25 feet. But before it gets launched.... hmmm... maybe Yardapult?
This is a Windows XP (SP3), Dell Precision 360 system.
9/16/14 After following the Waterboy71's suggestion to post this on the Commercial Forums with zero resulsts, I finally threw in the towel. (I need this scanner for work) Returned the Scanjet G4050. Bought and Epson V550. Scanned the very 1st time. Now I can get back to work. I should have pulled the plug sooner. There's just seems to be too many problems with the G4050. What has happened to HP?

File not compatible error message

The file is .psb (large document format). I am on a mac, OSX10.7.3, PS CS5.1. I have been working on this file for some time, and this message suddenly appeared, which of course has stopped all work, and the job is almost ready to be printed!! Now what??

Yes, the backups did work. I lost a week of work, but not the whole picture (whew!) No question the file ws corrupted, because I found two other psb files in the archives which did open. I think the corruption happened from letting the file stay open while the machine slept - trying to save the start-up time.. Never do that again. Thank you both. The solution was not the easy one, the no pain one I was hoping for, but it did work.
