Acer One 10 (S1002) Windows 10 Drivers?

I have an Acer One 10 (S1002) and am unable to find drivers for it. Not just Windows 10 drivers but even on the support site there are no 32-bit Windows 8 drivers either. In fact there is only a single Windows 8 64-bit driver which I find perplexing as it's a 32-bit UEFI. I did a clean install of Windows 10 wiping the SSD and all paritiions. After installing Windows 10 I have a long list of "unknown devices" in the device manager. I have no sound, the tablet/laptop won't go to sleep, there is no battery icon, ALL of the hardware buttons (power, volume) don't work, cameras don't work, keyboard and touchpad stop working after being detached, etc... I have contacted support as I have installed Windows 10 on it multiple times however I have gotten no real help from them other than them telling me I need to seach on the internet for drivers and that they are sorry but drivers are not ready from their support site. As suggested I tried using their hardware diagnostic tool to find a list of the hardware in my machine so I could go download drivers from the manufacturers sites however the tool runs but shows I have no hardware. The representative couldn't even give me a list of hardware so I could go around and find drivers for it. I mean come on, are you serious... LOL! I have 4 Macs, 4 Windows PCs, 6 Windows laptops, 3 Samsung Android tablets and 3 Windows tablets from various companies and have NEVER had an issue getting drivers for any of them or at the very minimum a list of hardware until now. As a first time Acer customer I must say that I am quite displeased with the level of support for my deivce. I get not having Windows 10 drivers as it's brand new but come on...

As a test last night I threw Windows 8.1 Pro on my S1002 to see if I could get drivers installed and working. Windows Update couldn't find drivers for a lot of the hardware so I tried both the SW3-013 and SW5-012 drivers and I had the same result as in Windows 10. The Intel Platform drivers partially worked, the WLAN driver worked, but the screen won't turn off, the audio driver didn't work, there is no Intel HD Graphics driver working, the GPIO Button driver was borked so none of the buttons work, and there was some unknown devices showing. I tried various drivers from Realtek and the Intel SST Audio drivers as 2 of the unknown devices are showing up as those via the Hardware IDs but no luck. As for the GPIO Button drivers I tried various drivers for S series Acer laptops as well as a Lenovo driver but no luck on those either.

  • Can I update free to Windows 10 from my Aspire ZC-102 All in One desktop from Windows 8.1?

Can I update free to Windows 10 from my Aspire ZC-102 All in One desktop from Windows 8.1?I bought my ACER with Windows 8 on it a year ago thru HSN. Then I upgraded to 8.1 using the Store thing on the computer. I've not been a fan of 8 or 8.1. I'm told that Windows 10 comes out on Friday and that upgrades are free somehow. Maybe that's thru doing the beta testing that I've read about. I don't know. But I'm not in very good shape financially and my computer's operating system is going nuts on me so an upgrade would probably fix things pretty well.
I'd tried to do a Repair Install of 8.1 but was somehow told that since I'd upgraded from 8, a Repair Install couldn't be done thru the Control Panel. I'm clueless and I'm hurting. Can I have some help please?

Thanks. I see that white icon down by the clock that hovered says GET WINDOWS 10. So even though I downloaded Windows 10 yesterday and burned it into being a bootable DVD, I went ahead and just Reserved My Upgrade since the DVD hasn't been cooperating. When I stuck it in and hit any key as the ACER started, it brought me to a screen that I couldn't figure out what to do on. I was clueless and I didn't want to cause myself any grief by just trying anything. I did just backup my28+ GB of Photos, Docs, Desktop, Downloads & Music.
But I don't want to accidentally do a clean install, which I've done before on my XP Tablet pc and that sure isn't any fun for a novice like me.
I only use Office 2013 and an old Paint Shop Pro 6.0 which is really old and isn't their newer v6 so it has to run in Compatibility Mode in 8.1. I'm not an APP guy either. I do use OmniPass software for passwords so I can Save and Restore them if needed, so I had to buy a 64 bit version of that to run on this ACER.
So I guess my next step is to just wait for a Notification from Microsoft that I can now switch to 10 which I think it said will just download so my DVD won't even be needed for anything but as a repair tool. That icon you told me about brought up a screen and on it it said that it found my PC to be compatible with Windows 10. So does that mean that drivers and everything ACER will work as they should or will I need to get anything off the ACER site to make my PC work with Windows 10?

  • HP all in one ms237 cant get wireless drivers to work

Hi i have a HP all in one PC, ive had this PC for a very long time, we upgraded to windows 8 and i dont remember how but i did manage to get wireless drivers on it at one point. the PC's hard drive went out and so i bought a new one and re-installed windows 8 (64 bit) onto it and now i cant get wireless drivers to get installed on it. I tried running the drivers with windows 7 compatability but no dice. I also tried different versions of the driver and still no luck, device manager will see the wireless card but says its not working properly (driver issue) the weird thing is that when i uninstall the drivers for it i can see the adapter in adpater settings, however when i install newer drivers and it goes back to being non existent lol. Any ideas?

    Hello @rapid3642,
I understand that you are having issues getting your wireless to work on your HP Pavilion All-in-One MS237 Desktop PC running Windows 8. As you probably have already figured out there are no Windows 8 drivers for your computer. I can see why you would have issues installing Windows 7 drivers on a Windows 8 computer. What you probably did initially was upgrade your Windows 7 to Windows 8 with the driver already installed. Unlike a new Windows 8 installation where you need to install the drivers an upgrade will already have drivers installed and the operating system is simply replacing what is needed without having to go through the installation process.
I would recommend that you either install your original Windows 7 and then upgrade to Windows 8 or you may want to look at replacing the 802.11 b/g/n PCI express wireless half-length mini card with one that is compatible with Windows 8.
I hope this helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

    error: error 0xc0000185
    File: \WINDOWS\System32\drivers\mountmgr.sys
There also was an option to press F8 wich would lead me to another vluescreen that gave me different option i tried all of them and it kept showing me this error
I do not have any windows 8 install disc since it was preset on my computer and i don't know what to do if anyone can help me please reply to this and thank you for your time

This is clearly an issue with the drivers in your boot image. Yes, for boot image driver issues you must update the boot image and ensure it's been updated on the DPs for it to be effective.
It happens before you get a change to select a TS because its an issue with the boot image itself which must fully load for anything task sequence wise to actually happen.
When testing boot image image issues, always make sure that you know which boot image you are updating and which one was downloaded to the system as its possible they are two different things.
Also, for SP1 CU3, the boot images are based on Win 8 so make sure that you are using Win 8 compatible drivers in the boot image itself.

  • Q190 Windows 7 drivers don't work

Just received a pair of Q190s in the post and I immediately imaged them with our office's standard Win7 64 bit image. None of the Windows 7 drivers work. Not one. I ended up going to Realtek's site to get the NIC's driver. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Gilgamesh1082, welcome to the forum,
exactly what do you mean by "None of the Windows 7 drivers work"; you were able to find and download them but there were problems installing them?
Some drivers require a two stage installation, firstly the driver wil be extracted to a location and then needs to be installed from there.  If this were the case with the LAN driver it would have extracted to  c:\drivers\Realtek LAN Driver
Did you download them from the Q190 Driver Matrix?

  • Windows Bootcamp Drivers Trouble

My Windows Vista Drivers that I got for my MacBook Pro from the installation disk have bad audio drivers. The sound on the speakers is too low, and the microphone won't even work. When I talk into the microphone while under Sound Properties in the Recording tab, it shows that the microphone is picking up sound. However, in Ventrilo, and Windows Sound Recorder, there is no sound from my microphone.
I'm using Bootcamp 2.1. When will this problem be fixed? Will Apple release a new bootcamp version to fix this problem?? This is very important to me.
If anyone has fixed this problem, please tell me how you did it.

  • Windows 8 Drivers Ready?

    Hi to the Apple Community!
I plan on purchasing Windows 8 and installing it on my Retina MacBook Pro, because some software are only exclusive to Windows. I am wondering if the Windows 8 drivers are ready for users to installing it on Boot Camp? Also, could someone provide me with a tutorial on how to install it on my Retina MacBook Pro, because it has no optical drive. Your help is much appreciated.

Jomarih asked, Do I purchase Windows 8 pro upgrade or is there another one?
Unless you need the features of Win8pro then Home should be sufficient and cheaper.
I have the Win8Pro upgrade and installed it on top of a licensed full version of Vista. This was done using Bootcamp (BC), I believe version 4 ish in a stock version of Mountain Lion I installed in 12/2012. I then installed drivers and Win BC desktop icon that BC put on a flash drive for me during install. Things worked for a few hours and then I got some messages about updates being available or needed from Win BC icon . After that and it's not clear what might have updated Win 8 started crashing after 10-15 minutes, often with clicks, sine-waves or stuck CD sounds persisting from the speakers.
Later I discovered there was a specific upgrade from Apple for Bootcamp which brings my Moutain Lion to BC 5.0.0. I have not been able to get BC 5.0.1 which appears to be shipping only with recent mac hardware - hearsay on this information.
I haven't tried the BC 5.0.0/vista/Win8 path yet. Going BC 5.0.0 for another 30 days on Win7 trial. Hope more drivers will be released in mean time to make an experiment with installing specific drivers for Win 8 more likely to succeed until hopefully a BC 5.0.XX releases that says Win 8.

"You have to change your router's IP address to be able to access it. It will not give you the internet."
I'm not sure what that means Richard, but I did change the router's IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.5.1- isn't that what you meant in your first post. I know that isn't reflected in my screen capture that I took last night, but I did do that this morning after I read your post.
"Log on to your router and change two settings.
Change the setting in Setup from PPPoE to Automatic Configuration-DHCP and click on save.
Click on Advance Routing and change the setting from Gateway to Router then click on save."
I did this and still same results as far as I can tell. Can't get online through the router.
"Click on MAC address clone under setup tab ... click enable & click clone ...click save settings ... Check the IPaddress under WAN page ....
If getting IP in public range .... try going online ...."
I tried this- at least to the part about checking the IP address under WAN. I assume you mean the WAN page in the modem setup- nothing looked any different after trying what you suggested, and I'm not really sure where I would be "getting IP in public range" or what that means.
I'm about to give up and just buy a new router to see if I can get the same lack of results with a different one. My ISP maintains that everything is set up correctly on their end and really can't do anything more for me. The Modem works and is set up correctly and they can give tech support for a router.

  • MOVED: Eclipse SLI & Windows 7 Drivers, etc

This topic has been moved to Windows 7.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=126646.0

    Hey Guys,
I actually have a dv9000 laptop myself so I was floored when I found out that HP would only support a few of the top laptop models for Windows 7 drivers. After doing alot of research and countless tinkering, I found the way to counteract at least one of the many woes many of you are feeling, updating NVIDIA GPU Drivers.
What I did was I went to HP's support site and downloaded their softpaq solution including the NVIDIA drivers for Vista (in my case, the 64-bit version). When it tries to install, it will fail saying that the version of Windows you're using is not Vista. By all means let it fail but don't exit unless you do so by the installer. This is where the next part comes in.
Go to the Screen Resolution Settings under Display and click on Advanced Settings. At this point, it should show you the properties of your card starting on the Adapter tab. Click on Properties and then the Driver tab. At this point, click on the Update Driver button and then click on the "Browse my computer for driver software." For my software, I found it under "C:/swsetup/sp42365/WinVista64." If you remember which softpaq file you downloaded, finding your path should be a piece of cake. After all of that, it should finally recognize your video card and ask you to reboot. If you're successful, you should be back at that 1400x900 resolution we all love.
I'll keep researching to see if the other softpad drivers react the same. I wish that HP at least tells people about this option since it's fairly easy to follow.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 DOENS'T HAVE WINDOWS 8 DRIVERS! - WHY?

    My review...
Why HP, a renamed Company, do miss the windows 8 drivers for their high performance Laptops?
I have a HP Pavillion dv7 with all the attributes needed to run Windows 8, BUT HP DOESN'T UPDATE ITS DRIVERS!
I'm really disappointed with HP and just because I have no warranty anymore, now I need to pay for some support.
I'm thinking seriously about never buying a HP laptop anymore.
My laptop is upgradable even the CPU can be changed. I can put an i7 processor in it, it runs Battlefield 3 in Windows 8 because I've installed ATI driver using Windows 7 compatibility mode, but, HP doesn't even care about that.
HP doesn't care about all of you guys...
If you buy a high performance laptop you'll need to sell it as soon as a new Windows comes out, and they tell nothing about updating the drivers..
Windows 8 is even better than Windows 7 (FASTER, LIGHTER) than Windows 7, BUT YOU JUST CAN'T INSTALL THE OPERATING SYSTEM BECAUSE HEWLETT PACKARD DON'T UPDATE THE DRIVERS.
The ATI video driver for my dv7-4087cl is from 2010-12-03 , Version:8.771.1.0.... 3 years????
Here is my resentment about HP.

I am shocked to see that non have one bothered to answer that.
