Acknowledgement feature in WS-RM adpater

Dear all,
I want do scenario explaining the Acknowledgment feature provided by the WS-RM adapter in PI 7.1.
How exactly can we achieve this?
If any has already done, please provide me some pointers on it.
1. What kind of a scenario to be taken?
2. How exactly is the acknowledgement received from WS adapter.
Please share your inputs.

BPM Transport acknowledgment problem

Hi,
I'm making a scenarion where
Sync RFC -> 'ASync' FTP
using the BPM.
I need to know if the file transport went allright or not and will inform the user direclty.
So I've started to use the BPM's acknowledgment Transport feature, to know if it was successful transfered or not.
The 'file' is transfered however, an error occur when trying to get the acknowledge.
The message monitoring says:
2010-10-29 08:25:50     Success     Acknowledgement creation triggered for type: SystemAck
2010-10-29 08:25:50     Success     Acknowledgement creation triggered for type: AckNotSupported
2010-10-29 08:25:50     Success     Acknowledgement sent successfully for type: SystemAck
How should I interprent this error message?
Does this mean that IIS FTP server not supporting this acknowledge feature?
Do I need to do some special configuration of acknowlege messages?
ps this PBM stuff and ack part is new to me

Thx, but I have already read those forum threads.
I find the error strange, I can see that the file is transfered then it's seem like the process stops and wait on the acknowlegement. Then when the deadline time is up then it returns saying that it failed.
Does the FTP server need to have some special feature for getting this transport acknowledgment?

I need to pick the file and i need to do multi mapping, so that from the file we can generate
one idoc which has to go to SAP and
one acknowledgment's file and sent back to partner.
Based on the below blog, looks like we can't use Idoc adapter when the target message is Idoc using Multi mapping.

Hi,
The Multi mapping is possible without BPM but not for IDOC as its not part of Java Stack. IDOC adapter is on ABAP stack.
As Raj have suggested,
You could create two different Mappings one for file to IDOC and another for file to file as an acknowledgment.
In Receiver determination you need to use multiple receivers as IDOC --R/3 receiver and the File receiver system.
It will create the IDOC as well as push the acknowledgment to file also.
But incase if you get any problem with sending the IDOC then also you will get successful acknowledgment via file. So directly there will not be any relation between these IDOC and File receivers as an delivery recipt of IDOC.
Here either you have to use the IDOC acknowledgment feature or BPM or Alert notification to get the exact notification about the IDOC posting to receiver system.

QM certificate at PO

Hi all
I'm Interesting if there is an SAP field to call out material certificates on a purchase order? My users use the order acknowledgement feature so it prints on the PO. Users need a statement detailing the need for the supplier to send a material certificate in with the shipment.
I have seen QM procurement and QM control key fields. Does it help anyways to acheive my task. If there is a way, please explain briefly.

Yes i hope you can full fill your requirement,
First you need to tick the QM procurement key (QM Proc. active) in the material master then give a certificate type.
you can use either a standard certificate type (ex: E31C etc) or you can create your own certificate type in SPRO (QM -> QM in Logistics -> Define keys for certificate processing -> Define Certificate types).
Then you can create a Q-Info record (QI01) for material vendor combination based on your requirement.
If you don't need further data, just give a release date, the purpose is until this date this vendor is release for this material (if you are not have a scenario where you evaluate vendor time to time you can even use the date as 31.12.9999)
Then you do the GR for the material, then system will ask for the certificate in MIGO screen. So you can mention either certificate is received or not
If the status is NO (for certificate receipt) then at the UD time you will get an error based on the settings.
So if the initial status is no and then you want to change it to yes then you can use QC51 to amend the initial status.

Displaying strings in a table from boolean alarms.

Hello all. I have been using Labeled 8.5 now for about 6 months. I absolutely love NI because of all the support and forum discussion that exists compared to other software makers I have used in the past.
Here is my concern. I have been giving the task of updating this old system and its software to LabVIEW. What I do is read about 100 alarm bits from a PLC. Each alarm will have a string attached describing what the alarm is in plain english. What I need to do using LabVIEW is then display numerous things. If no alarms are triggered, then nothing will be shown. If an alarm has been triggered (boolean), show the alarm code (string), the string describing it (string), if it is still triggered (boolean), has it been acknowledged (boolean), a date stamp, and a time stamp.
Now what I am stuck on. I have spent a few weeks trying to come up with a logical way of doing this other than having 100 boolean icons on my front panel. I have an ok grasps on LV but not a real indepth one (so many features for me). The time stamp will show when the alarm was first triggered and not change after that. When an alarm is triggered, you have the option to acknowledge it. If the alarm was then acknowledged and the alarm is no longer going off, it will disappear off the screen. Likewise it would stay on if acknowledged but the bit is still triggered.
My most recent idea was to build a table by combining all the strings together into an array and displaying it like that. If not triggered, it would pass blank through the array thus not showing anything. I then became stuck on though the acknowledge feature. I wanted to have it so that you could click the alarm boolean on the table and it would pop up a second VI asking if you wanted to acknowledge. Then I realized that since the boolean is going to be turned into a string to be displayed on the table, you couldn't just click on it to open up that specific boolean.
Basically I am asking if there is an easier way to do this other than what I have been thinking of? For what I know of LabVIEW software, I feel that it wasn't really built to do this tasks, but that won't help me get it done, lol. I want some form of a table to be on the frontpage, without a ton of clutter. Something that if no alarm is going off, it would leave the screen pretty blank actually other than maybe for table headers. Chaos of the code itself is not that big of a deal. An array of clusters, with the cluster having a string and a
Boolean, will enable you to display the alarm string and provide a way for the
user to click on the Boolean to acknowledge. Check the attached VI. Click on “Simulate
Alarms” and then click on any of the “Acknowledge” button. It should display a
dialog box.
I made an half attempt at simulating this, but you get the idea

Smartform or SAP Script output

Hi,
Iam trying to use the email functionality for PO and RFQ smartforms. or SAP Scripts. How can I enable or disable the email acknowledgement for POs and RFQs.

The email functionality is already available in the print program of PO and RFQ. For PO(Output type MAHN) the program is SAPFM06P. We are passing the sender and receipient in OPEN_FORM (Include LMEDRUCKF1O). So no need to write the mail functionality again.
My problem is after the email is sent to the recipient then an acknowledgement is also sent to the sender saying the "mail sent to Vendor". I want to disable this acknowledgement feature.
Same with RFQ. The RFQ(output type NEU) is using the the smartform and we are passing sender and recipient details in the CALL FUNCTION lf_fm_name.
How to disable the acknowledgement feature.

Response for successful Idoc post

Hi,
Curerently we are in the designing specifications phase of a project where there is a requirement which i am not sure if it can be achieved or not, hope i can get some help here.
The interface flow would be an File to Idoc scenario where multiple Idocs will be posted in the ECC system. The requirement that our client wants is to get an acknowledgement from the ECC system for the log of the number of Idocs posted. Say that there are 4 Idoc data present in a single file and gets posted in the ECC system, i believe there will be 4 entries in the ECC system and is there a possibilty that i could get a single acknowledgement for the 4 Idocs posted ?
Please let me know if this can be achived and how it can be done or is there an alternate suggestion for this requirement.

You could have used "Idoc Acknowledgements" feature provided by SAP. But this is possible with Idoc to Idoc scenario. Since you have File to Idoc, check if you can adapt the Idoc Acknowledgements for the file part of the interface.
Idoc Acknowledgement basically sends an acknowledgement Idoc (ALEAUD) to the sender which contains details about all Idocs posted in the target system. Check if you can map ALEAUD Idoc structure to your file structure.

JDBC ADPATER - "Unsupported feature" in XI with CLOB type

Hi experts,
I have 15 patch XI level. In a stored procedure i use an in and out parameter with CLOB type. I get the exception:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'XXXX'): java.sql.SQLException: Unsupported feature
If i change the type CLOB by VARVHAR in the XI's XML (Design: Integration Buider), all works fine.
The strored procedure has this parameter like CLOB.
My question is
Is not possible to use the CLOB type?

Please make sure you use the 10.x driver for full stored procedure CLOB support.
A CLOB is a not comparable Datatype in SQL.

PI 2.0 Manager Report for Alarm Assignments and Acknowledgements

Is there a Prime Infrastructure 2.0 manager report that shows daily alarms, who the alarms were assigned to and when they were acknowledged? I can't find anything on the tool or in the documentation and this is required to prove compliance in the financial industry.

USB HDD feature is a joke? This seems to be a popular issue...

Anyone have any ideas as to how we can get Apple to listen regarding this feature? I see many posts on here by people with issues regarding being able to access their HDDs, and not many are answered. It's pretty obvious that there is something wrong with the set-up. This is THE reason I bought the Airport Extreme. When I first set it up, it was working and I was very happy with it. A day or two later and now I can't connect to the HDD. When I do, it loses it's connection a random amount of time later and I have to unplug/restart everything in order to get it working for what could be 5 minutes or 15 or maybe an hour or two. I am using a WD 1TB drive, and will gladly switch if there is something that will work better with this. (I've read that it could be due to the WD HDDs "hibernating" when not in use)
I've read that going back to firmware 7.4.1 has solved the problem for some people, but I can't find it anywhere online now that Apple has taken it off their website. (if you click the link to download, it brings you in a circle) Does anybody know where you can get it or if there are any alternatives that they've resolved themselves to? I just want to be able to have a HDD set up on my network where all of my computers can get to it without having to have a central computer on all of the time. I was going to try an N+ router that is now on the market, but that doesn't support dual bands like the AEBS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - I know that there are many theories out there...even if you have it and it is working for you - just sharing your set up would help some of us out.

I'm not sure if this will matter, but I just sent a message on the Airport Extreme through the feedback page on the main website. Not sure if anybody cares, but if you do, why not try to send them a message regarding these issues as well? (I don't normally do stuff like this, but figured now would be a good time if any to try it)

I'd just like to say that I am a new Apple customer and couldn't be happier with my Macbook Pro. The Airport Extreme & Time Capsules on the other hand, not so much. The major reason that I purchased these was to have an external harddrive that I can access anywhere on my network, and that has not been delivered. I paid a premium for both of these products and I feel that I've been left in the cold along with many other people in the support discussion forums. There are major issues with being able to connect to the attached hard drives and it doesn't seem like your company is making any attempt to fix them. (in fact it seems to be getting worse going by the posts in the forum) I'm sorry, but I am not going to pay to talk to your representatives over the phone to discuss this matter. I have no faith that will lead to a resolution, and I'm guessing if that was of any use somebody would've mentioned it on the forums by now.
Could you please listen to the appeals of a new customer and try to resolve this issue? (or even look on the message boards that you are hosting and acknowledge that there is a problem?) I really want to believe in your product, but if you don't care about them, why should I? I know that this is merely a feedback submission, but I really hope that it is heard by someone in your company that matters.

SAP Signature Design & Task Bar Auto-Hide Feature

Hi Experts,
I'm having a problem with SAP Business One 8.8 PL18 using the new 8.8 SAP Signature Design. We are in a business with 4 professionals and 1 CRM. When we use the SAP Signature Design Skin Style and you have SBO maximized on the screen and you have Windows auto-hide the Task bar. You can't go back to the task bar with your mouse to switch applications or to just go to your start menu. The only way you can make the task bar appear is by pressing the "window key" to make the task bar display. To change applications, you can still use the "Alt Tab feature". If I put the Skin Style to Classic Mode, everything works great with no apparent display problems.
I've tried this on 3 different operating systems. Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server and the same results. The task bar won't re-pop up if you move your mouse down to it (I tried moving the task bar to the left, top or right to see if that made a difference, and it didn't). I've been using the "Window Key" for now to make the task bar pop up (display), but I think it's a bug with the skin style and not the operating system.
I've tried to get this resolved with our partner, but I don't think they understand the problem, or are just not willing to acknowledge the problem. They probably think it is a petty problem. We all like the new design and would like to use it properly while still having the task bar auto-hide.
The question actually is, do you know of this problem, is there something I can disable or do to get it to work (ie: make it run with compatibility mode to something) or do I just have to live with this problem?

I don't have the same version to test. Based on your detailed explanation, I do think it is probably a bug. Since it may not be used by many users, it could have low priority to be fixed even if it is confirmed to be a bug.

My first thoughts were that 'bootcamp' was out of date...needed an upgrade to register windows 7. Since then I am once again met with the same problem... how can it not see the I have already have a paritioned drived ready to be used for installition, is there a way to fix this problem? I don't really want to pay out for 'i-parition' only to merge my 2 drives back into one and start again from scratch =/. Seems silly to do so...what are my options?

You don't need to buy anything but you should have backups.
you can delete #2 you created. Then resize to full drive.

Acknowledgment in File Adapter

Hi,
I tried a BPM that receive from a SOAP and
writes into a file. I need BPM because of
alerts.
Because I started a s/a-bridge, I would like
to send the soap adapter a response (like an
errorcode). The sender step got a field
Acknowledgement. How can I use this? In SAP XI
documentation it says that the receiver got to
send an acknowledgement, but I can't find how
a file communication channel can send an acknowledgement.
Any experiences??

I think there would be an alert if the file adpater
could not reach the file system if I build my
integration prozess like this:
-> block with exception -> open s/a-bridge -> send to file -> close s/a-bridge
The exception should close process with a control step.
So, if I would like to close the message with a message that included an errormessage field and fill this field with a constant, how can I do this? Do I have to add a transformation step?
I have:

- a request for soap
- a response for soap
- a request for file (it's not necessary, but I would like to split of web service from writing structure)
Interface:
- a sync out for web service
- a sync abs for BPM
- a request abs for BPM (web service)
- a response abs for BPM (web service)
- a request abs for BPM (file)
Mapping:
- sync out to sync abs (web service)
- request abs (web service) to request abs (file)
- ??? One for mapping constant into repsonse?
how can I do the mapping of the constant, if I don't
have a file response??

Bought elements 10 last month and can't use the edit feature.

So I got elements 10 with a Wacom Bamboo Capture around April 23rd last month. I created a new adobe id and signed in. It asked me to update my account and add my birthday, personal URL for photoshop, and agree to the terms. Everytime I've tried to do this during the past few weeks I always get an error/failure message. I acknowledge that photoshop is moving to revel and that's probably the reason why I can't complete my sign in. I've already asked adobe with a live chat and they suggested I come here to the forums. Is there any way to use the edit feature now? ele

Just don't use the welcome screen. If you use Windows, go into the program files or program files(x86) for 64-bit systems, find the actual .exe/application file for the editor, right click it and make a desktop shortcut and use that instead of the welcome screen to launch the editor. For macs, it's in applications>adobe photoshop elements 10>support files.
