Acknowledgement of receipt sms

On my former Nokia phone I used to be notified when the sms I sent were read; Since I bought an Iphone 4S, I only receive an aknowledgment of receipt when I send messages to other Iphone users Is there an app available to be notified of the receipt for any type of smartphone ?

Read receipts for SMS are not a feature of the iPhone. There is no way for a third party app to add that feature.

No... I don't think it's possible with web based mail.
OutlookExpress is a Microsoft product. You can't use it on a Mac unless you have a Windows partition installed.

I think AOL is one of the few email clients where you can be notified when when a recipient email has been opened.
You need to check with Firefox support to see if they support email acknowledgement notifications.

Acknowledgment of receipt expected and not Read acknowledgment expected

Hi everybody,
In the SAP structure SOOS1 we have the fields DELIVER and READ to set the Acknowledgment of receipt expected and the Read acknowledgment expected.
When i try to set only the DELIVER field ='X', the system send me the Acknowledgment of receipt comunication and the Read acknowledgment expected.
How can i to receive only the Acknowledgment of receipt comunication?

I will use a user flag in my Imap account, I can't use the SEEN flag because I only want to see the acknowledgment when I see the first time, and I can see the mail and mark as unseen again. I will create a user flag(I never used it, but I will try).
I don't know what I can do with the Pop3 account, probably I will add a column in my data base to control the acknowledgment, but I don't know. Without flags it's more difficult. I think that he best way to get what I want is to add a column (or table) in my database.

Inbound Receipt Acknowledgements fail for CIDX messages

Hi,
We are sending a Load Tender Message (CIDX Message) to our Partner using CIDX receiver adapter with certificate logon and Signing option. For the configuration, our partner is able to receive the messages successfully and sending us the Receipt Acknowledgement.
Receipt Acknowledgement is received in our system but it is failing when it is validating the Signal message.
Find below the error prompted in Message Monitoring System:
1. Attempt to validate RNIF signal message failed. Message will be ignored -
null
2. Error during message processing -
BTD handler indicated processing error
3. Delivery of the message to the application using connection CIDXAdapter failed, due to: Error during message processing.
Please provide me the resolution to solve the issue.

Status Update of PO upon Supplier Acknowledgement

Hi All
I have a general query:
When the PO is approved and sent to supplier, is there any status which gets updated when the supplier has received the PO. I am looking forward to capture the status of PO when the supplier acknowledges it. By this, the buyer will come to know that the supplier has received the PO.

If you use iSupplier, you can have the supplier acknowledge the receipt via the iSupplier Portal.

Rosettanet Receipt Acks URL ?

hi B2B gurus,
We are using RosettaNet protocol to transmit Invoices to our Trading Partner. We are able to send the documents to the TP, but our remote TP is not able to acknowledge the receipt. They get the error as below:
"HTTP/S send of action/signal failed...attempt retry - error sending HTTP/S message to https://b2btst.dummy.com/b2b : received HTTP response "500", retry is possible"
And our B2B portal shows the same error as "Error_level_collaboration", meaning the system did not receive any acknowledgement. Now what this means is the Acknowledgement URL which our remote TP is using is not valid.
Can someone please let me know, how do we determine the RosettaNet Acknowledgement URL that we need to share with our remote TP.

Do we need to configure a Listening Channel for this?

We tested this with our remote trading partner; our TP set the acknowledgement url as
https://b2btst.dummy.com/b2b/httpReceiver
When i try to simply open this url through the browser(outside the company network), it displays the below:
"B2B Server
B2B Server is ready to accept HTTP messages from the Trading Partner"
This means the server is reachable correctly.
Now on testing with our TP, they observed the following
– I do see 3 inbound POST’s, and in each case, our B2B server recorded the fact that it delivered the RA’s as expected. Seems like there is a break down somewhere between our delivery of RNIF RA and your B2B software recording the RA?
For this TP, our acknowledgement setups are as below;
Protocol - RosettaNet V02.00
Ack Mode - Async
Under TP>Channel Details>Security
Ack Signed is checked.
Message Signed and Message Encrypted is disabled.
Digital Signature - SMIME 3.0 with MD5 - RSA
Encryption - SMIME 3.0 with DES

Can't markup some documents

I have been trying out the new version of the Adobe ios reader on my iPad 2 (all updates applied).
Unfortunately the first document that I tested, could not be marked up with the highlighter, the strikethrough or underscore.
I managed to locate other documents that were okay.
There does appear to be a difference, in that the pdf in question was re-pdf'd from another PDF to make the size tolerable (8 MB instead of the original ~180 Mb).
As a test, I created a PDF of just one page (from the original doc), then re-PDF'd that page. This gave the same results for the re-PDF'd one, but the initially created page was able to be marked up okay.
Now, I must concede that I use PrimoPDF, but have not found any other issue with such PDF's. Std Adobe reader on Vista, is able to select text in either PDF.
I can supply PDF samples to Adobe support - 3Mb & 150k if requested.

Printing to my Epson Stylus Pro 3800 (Grr...)

Hi All,
I'm a fairly recent convert from Windows and I LOVE my Mac for everything EXCEPT printing to my 3800.
I have always had a problem with my Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer on my Mac. The two just don't seem to get along. I've wasted countless pages of expensive paper and what seems like gallons of ink trying to resolve this issue, but I'm getting nowhere. I've ruled out physical problems with the printer - it works flawlessly on the three PC's I've connected to it (via usb).
Until this evening I was using the Epson drivers for this printer. They were flakey at best. I would get random 'communication errors' that could happen at any time during a print - start, end, somewhere in between or, if I was lucky, not at all. Having had enough I went looking for a solution (again) online tonight and stumbled across Gutenprint 5.2.6.
I've been able to install the drivers successfully by following the documentation but I can't get the printer to print via USB or IPP. Using usb, I get a message in the print queue 'backend USB Failed' and the printer goes into a Paused state. Using IPP the print job apprers to spool and queue reads 'Connecting to printer... ' for a while then returns with 'Unable to connect to printer; will retry in 30 seconds..'.
I believe the IPP is failing because the print queue options in the Gutenprint setup. The install says to leave Queue blank for the default queue. I tried that - it didn't print.
I browsed to the embedded 'EpsonNet Config' page in the printer and named what they call 'printer name' as printer. I presume that's the queue that the gutenprint driver wants, but I still get the same result.
When I look at EpsonNet Config, the IPP URL is http://192.168.9.166:631/printer.
When I look at the Printer Setup on the Mac, I see
Queue Name: 192_168_0166
Driver Version: 5.2.6
URL: ipp://192.168.0.166/printer
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm frustrated beyond belief with this problem and really could use some help using either the Epson drivers or Gutenprint drivers - I just want some consistent output.

I have been using an Epson 3800 with my I Mac for four years and up untill I upgraded to OSX Lion the only problem I had was colour issues associated with some ICC profiles. After upgrading to Lion and downloading the latest OSX update (10th May) I could not print.
One of the problms was that the print settings continuously defaulted to:
Page Setup: Sheet Feeder
Media Type: Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster
I would change the settings to what I wanted, I saved them selected Print. My printer promptly started changing from Matte ink (what I had set my print setting s for) to Photo Black.
After trying all i could to correct this. I finally gave up and rang the Epson Helpline. After 3 telephone calls over a day and a half during which I was talked through the procedure you described, the problems were still not resolved.
My contact on the Epson Helpline then tried to simulate the problem on his MAC. He discovered that he had the same problem the print settings would not save, albeit on a Epson 3880 driver. He then advised me that the problem was not with thw Epson Drivers it was a MAC/Apple problem.
I then rang the Apple Helpline (at £1.35 a minute) described the problem and was eventually put through to a supervisor. Who asked me to send her a set of screen shots describing the problem, This I have done, I have received an acknowledgement of receipt and have been advised that I should get a response within two working days.
I am waiting hopefully.
I have tried to print both via CS5 and Aperture the problem is the same in both instances.

Web based booking in of service orders

A company I have recently been doing work for approached me with a interesting request. They wanted a method for users to be able to book in service orders themselves, online. Vendors were not being paid on time due to the fact acknowledgment of receipt of the orders was not given in a timely fashion.
Not everyone had access to SAP for cost reasons. Also quite a few people for some reason do not like the SAP interface. The spreadsheet they generated based on a SAP report was also proving ineffective due to users overwriting acknowledged orders.
With this in mind, Myself and the local ABAP programmer came up with the following solution.
The main ingredients of the solution involve the following:
1)Windows Active Directory
2)IIS, PHP
3)BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE,BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT,BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK
A Windows 2000 Intranet server was setup with PHP and the SAPRFC extension. Using Windows authentication we now select the correct recipient for the outstanding service orders report. The local ABAP programmer wrote a function to allow me to pass the username as a import parameter and receive the lines of outstanding orders in JTAB which I can pull off into an array using saprfc_table_read.
Here is an overview of how this works. I don't have the script in front of me. So I'm doing this from memory. I will add some more code specific detail at a later date.
1)PHP script calls local bespoke RFC function and sends RECIPENT (username) as an import parameter. RFC function fills JTAB with outstanding orders. Items in JTAB table are LIFNR,NAME1,EBELN,EBELP,TXZ01,EINDT,OPENQTY,MEINS,NETPR,WAERS,WEMPF. Each line is then read in a loop using the number of rows returned by saprfc_table_rows.
2)The user is then presented with a form which allows them to acknowledge orders to the maximum value of OPENQTY for each line item.
3)On submission the lines are sorted by vendor. We have to run the BAPI's multiple times for each vendor. You can't book in line items from different vendors in one go. Once this is done we can start calling our BAPI's to book the items in.
4)We setup a loop by vendor which does the following:
Call BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE and set the import parameters GOODSMVT_HEADER & GOODSMVT_CODE.

The overall results is that we now have a intranet application which allows users to easlily book in services orders. I even created a script which nags users via email to book in services orders. The nag email contains a link to the intranet page which contains the application.
Benefits:
1)Extremely cheap solution using every day tools
2)Browser based interface which everyone knows how to use.
3)Vendors are paid on time which allows the company to trade on more favorable terms.
4)Reduced administrator workload chasing people and making spreadsheets to capture outstanding service orders
I would recommend going through some of the documentation for the SAPRFC extension. This will give you an idea of what I'm trying to convey here, and fill in the gaps.

Poor 10 GbE throughput/performance in Server 2008 R2

I have an issue with proof of concept that I'm running. I have a Server 2008 R2 backup media server running ARCserve r15 and I'm pulling data off our SAN (8 Gbps FC) and sending it to an EMC/Data Domain unit over an Intel X520 10 GbE adapter (directly
connected - no switch) via CIFS shares. I have 4 jobs running right now, sending about 1.5-2 TB of data. The backup media server is a DL380 with 48 GB of RAM and two X5680 CPU's. The 10 GbE and 8 Gb FC cards are connected to PCI-Express
8X slots - so I don't think this is a hardware issue.
At first I ran into a rather obvious throughput ceiling at about 30% utilization - it literally jumped up to 30% and flatlined there until the transfer was done. After some research on Intel's site, I turned off "Interrupt Moderation Rate" in
the drivers for the card and I was able to push it higher. CIFS file transfers now bounce around between 30 and 50% utilization. The interesting thing is that when I run iperf, with 4 TCP streams I can run the link up to 99% utilization with the
TCP Window set to 64KB or higher.
So, since I can't set the TCPWindowSize in Server 2008 R2 anymore (tech docs say it ignores that registry key) and increasing the number of streams doesn't have any impact, I'm sort of at a loss. Only utilizing 1/3 of the throughput of the adapter
kinda sucks. If I hit a ceiling at 80% I'd say that's pretty good and I'm likely hitting the limits of the 8 Gb fiber channel HBA... however, in running tests that generate traffic on the fly rather than copying from a source, I'm still having trouble
pushing past 50% utilization except for running iperf and specifying a TCP Window size of 64KB or larger.
Any ideas on how I can solve this? I'm not even sure if the issue is with the backup server, backup software or the Data Domain unit.

By disabling the autotuninglevel your window size will never increase beyond the default 64KB. On a 10Gb connection this could limit your transfer speed. You want that receive window to grow so there is less protocol overhead.
If you are not running 2008 R2 SP1 please install the autotuning hotfix.

I would also set your congestion provider to CTCP (Compound TCP).

And finally, you need jumbo packets to get maximum throughput. Make sure you are using the maximum possible frame size allowed by the devices in the chain. Increasing the frame size will improve both your IOps and your throughput. At the same time your CPU
utilization will go down.
But the most important thing to remember when doing a file copy test is the read speed of the source and the write speed of the destination. The real-world maximum throughput of a 10Gbps file transfer is roughly 625 MBps. This is primarily because of bandwidth-delay
product.

If your bandwidth tester is only one-way, like a UDP send which requires no acknowledgement of the packets, your synthetic throughput will be greater than TCP, which requires acknowledgement or the packets are resent. And again, if there is any disk IO limitation
you will not reach your maximum potential versus a synthetic test.

Terms of payment - Transportation document

Dear All,
We are using payment terms in our business scenario. Our payment terms will follow customer received for calculation of discount.
We are using Transportation documents for shipping the deliveries. Each transportation document will applicable to only one customer. If the customer is having more than one delivery, we are clubbing the all the deliveries and creating the transportation document.
After confirmation of the customer, forwarding agent will give the confirmation based on the transportation document.
How can I give the receiving date of the customer, for calculating the terms of Payment terms for each invoice.

well, there are a few ways to meet your requirement. you can try any of the following:
1. the system can take your invoice date as baseline for calculating payment terms; therefore, enter the customer acknowledgement date as your billing date when creating and saving billing documents.
2. you can also go for Proof-of-Delivery, which is similar but a little more complicated because you have to activate this on several levels (customer, item category, schedule lines, etc.); what this means is that you can bill a delivery only when you receive the customer's acknowledgement of receipt of delivery. to process POD, you can use VLPOD or VLPODL (you can use for parameters, the outbound delivery, delivery group, shipment number, etc.).

JMS adapter settings for response to dynamic queue

We are sending a message through JMS to SAP in a synchronous manner (client waiting for the reply after sending the request). The SAP is receiving and processing the message.
We configured the JMS Sender & Receiver channel as per solution given in SDN for the quetion. ( (2.8) Does the JMS Adapter support the JMSReplyTo feature? )
1. In Sender communication channel, checked the "JMS Message ReplyTo Destination" attribute of 'Adapter specific message attributes'
2. In Receiver communication channel, added the "JMS.Message.DynamicDestination" parameter and value 'true' (without quotes for both strings) in "Set JMS Additional Parameters" table
3. Added the "JMSReplyTo" header syntax in input xml message as below:
 a. Message : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
 <ns0:getEmployeeInfo xmlns:ns0="namespace">
 <employeeId>0000001</employeeId>
 </ns0:getEmployeeInfo>
 b. Destination = com.someDestination

We have selected Transport protocol option "Access JMS Provider Generically"
But it is not able to send the reply to replyTo destination of the message.
Wondering if there is anything in the JMS Adapter setting like reply to Destination (technical term DCJMSReplyTo) which can be set to reply queue of the message (to a dynamic destination).
Please let me know in case anybody knows about the same.

I assume that mydoc has a list of items separated by commas. In this case, you can display the line break in HTML content email with the tag. Try using the following code:
