ACO and CO in ATg 10.1

Is ATG Still supporting ACO and CO in 10.1 versions for New customers or not. The reason why i am asking this question is that in ATG Commerce Stack diagram (a.k.a Coleman Chart) doesn't show ACO and CO while ATG 10.1 Documentation hras relevant documentation for ACO and CO.

  • (Urgent) Where can find the code and documentations for ATG mobile  ?

    Hi there,
    We have a customer (Gome) which is implementing ATG products and ATG solution needs to support iPhone app as well. Due to the tight schedule, we are looking to have some reference modules to jump start our mobile module development and help us staying on the course of ATG best practices.
    Before we can find some open source ATG mobile code available on community.atg.com site as part of ATG program. However they can not find it now because community.atg.com was closed.
    Can anyone help on this ?
    J.K Liu

    The iPhone, Android, and mobile web solutions were previously provided via the ATG Catalyst program. As of the acquisition by Oracle a year ago, those offerings were withdrawn and are no longer available. Oracle has not provided any guidance as to whether they might be made available again, and if so, when and under what licensing guidelines.
    I'm afraid that you're on your own. Sorry!

  • Aco and Photoshop CS6

    I cannot open my .aco kuler swatches in Photoshop CS6. Do you have any suggestions what file format to use instead?

    Hi Eszterj,
    Sorry for the long delay in responding.
    1) In Photoshop go to Edit > Presets > Preset Manager
    2) In the Preset Manager Window for the Preset Type field change it to Swatches
    3) On the right-and side of the Preset Manager window click the Load button
    4) Browse to the location where you saved the .ACO file to import it
    or
    1) Open the Swatches panel, from Window > Swatches
    2) In the Swatch Panel flight out menu in the top right corner choose Load Swatches
    3) Browse to the location where you saved the .ACO file to import it
    Hope that helps,

    And user finish testing , there is no issue after upgrade and application can work as normal.
    On Test instance we didn't implement Single Sign On
    But on Production we have Single Sign ON.
    Now we plan to upgrade on Production instance. But we afraid that we will found any issue on Production relate to SSO. Becase we don't have a chance to test it.
    My question is:

    Hi AlexSander,
    Have you configured LiveIndex server?
    If so, it is started and running without any errors?
    Another point: have you created the search environments (order and profile) at atg/search/routing/LiveIndexingService component?
    Check this points and try to post the complete stack trace to see if there are more informations about the error.

  • ATG Migration 9_1 to 10_1

    To Do ATG Migration from 9.1p4 t0 ATG 10.1.1 commerce platform
    After reviewing the migration document following is my understanding on how to do successful migration
         1. My exitising application is running on ATG9.1p4 with all the OOTB and custom data in it
              - I execute startExportRepository command to export and create an xml file of my entire data [There will be multiple files depending on schema - Pub, Core, Cata, Catb]
         2. Once the existing data is exported, I run the update/add scripts as mentioned in document for ATG 10.0 and then to ATG 10.1
         3. Execute startImportRepository to import all the data to the db that is now having ATG 10.1 schema.
         My question is what happens to my exiting schema and data from ATG 9.1 ? Do I create a new schema for 9.1 and then run the migration scripts or Do I run on the existing data ? If so, what about the custom tables that I created for 9.1 ?

    Hi ,
    Its always better to practice migration on a copy of your original schema , so that you can be sure that your application runs smoothly , and any mistake can be corrected :
    1- You may not need to backup all your data , only backup what the migration guide says.
    2- custom tables - it depends on what you have customized and how much , best bet will be to migrate as per migration guide , and then start the server and look out for errors in server console , then fix them as required.
    once your are sure of all changes you need , document and do it on your original data.
    migration from 9 to 10 is going to be tricky - multisite - pricing - promotion changes , yeah but it will be very easy from 10 to 10.1
    Answer to your question - as your are migration your 9.1 schema - and running scripts on same schema - the same schema and your custom tables will be used for 10.1 , your do not need to export and backup everything , migration scripts are written in such a way to avoid that, else it wont be a migration - it will be a new database installation.
    other useful points :
    1- Use .bat/.sh files of migration kit , they run scrips in proper order.
    2- open the scrips in a text editor and go through it , sometimes important comments are written inside them like which tables to backup before running them.

  • Integration of ATG module in Enterprise Application project

    Hi,
    Could any one please give me steps for integrating a ATG module in a Enterprise Application.

    There could be different types of approaches and you would have to weigh them in order to decide which is best suitable in your environment. A quick way could be like creating a standalone ATG EAR assembling your ATG module so that you can refer and use that ATG EAR from your other modules just like any standard EAR. Standalone ATG EAR will pack everything related to ATG in itself and will not refer to ATG installation. Another way can be is to instrument everything required for ATG within an existing module like adding the PageFilter, NucleusServlet etc. (refer to any existing web.xml of an existing ATG application). You would also have to hook atg_bootstrap.war and atg_bootstrap_ejb.jar as well. All of this may require many other tweaks also in order to successfully integrate whole of ATG and to start it when you start rest of the modules. I think better would be to create standalone EAR and use it.

  • Any Suggestions on Best Method To Export/ Convert .aco Files?

    Bill Hunt suggested this question that originally was posted under general discussion be reposted here. - Thanks Bill.
    I'm building palette's for another application that is not presently capable of reading the Adobe Color Swatch file .aco and would like to initially develop the palette in CS6 Photoshop, save the swatch file and then produce a file in similar fashion as is already used in Flash; namely the .clr file; e.g. the sample below where the last values given on each line are in RGB.
    Does anybody have any suggestions to wrangle the .aco into an RGB ASCII, either from within PS or from some other application ?
    Thank you for any reply,

  • ATG - Siebel Catalog

    Hello Everyone,
    I have a older version of Siebel which doesnot support the SCOA model. 'Product Data Integration for Siebel Innovation Pack 2012 guide ' - not so useful in my case. But I presume the data model is similar to newer versions.
    Well, I am planning to marry ATG and Siebel Catalog, a batch export/import from Siebel(after a change trigger). Are there any exisiting webservice methods available in Siebel to export catalog. Siebel catalog is very complex, so wondering if its feasible approach.
    Please let me know what are the options available to implement this process.
    Any insights are very much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Generally, the catalog will be created in Sibel and flows to ATG, i.e. Siebel will be the master of Catalog Data. Oracle provided a ATG-Siebel reference integration module that helps integrating ATG and Siebel easily. You can find the details from the below link. Note that you need a valid Oracle support id to access this.
    https://support.oracle.com/CSP/ui/flash.html#tab=KBHome(page=KBHome&id=()),(page=KBNavigator&id=(bmDocType=WHITE%20PAPER&bmDocDsrc=KB&bmDocID=1358285.1&viewingMode=1143&bmDocTitle=ATG%20Web%20Commerce%20and%20Siebel%20Reference%20Integration&from=BOOKMARK))
    >>What is data that flows from ATG into Siebel????
    User Profile and Order Details
    >>Whats is the data that flows from Siebel to ATG???
    Catalog Details
    >>What is the data setup that needs to be done separately in each system.???
    This really depends on your enterprise architecture and design.

  • ATG Privileges for Pages

    Hi,
    I am working with ATG User Authentications.
    So what i need to do is, restrict pages when UN-authorized person type URL and try to brows that page.
    I have created User Roles, Organizations and Users in BCC.
    I can access those users and roles using ATG Out Of The Box feature called /atg/userdirectory/droplet/HasFunction
    <dsp:droplet name="/atg/userdirectory/droplet/HasFunction">
         <dsp:param bean="Profile.id" name="userId"/>
         <dsp:param value="FullfilmentAdmin" name="function"/>
         <dsp:oparam name="true">
                                <dsp:valueof value="he is admin"/>
                            </dsp:oparam>
                            <dsp:oparam name="false">
                                <dsp:valueof value="he is not admin"/>
                            </dsp:oparam>
    </dsp:droplet>
    However this approach doesn't give opportunities to make authentication based on pages. Above approach is based on user roles.
    So what i need to do is, restrict pages when UN-authorized person type URL and try to brows that page.
    Anyone does know how to make Page authentication rather than using above method ?
    saminda

    I assume you are trying to do user authentication if user is not authorized and if not you want user to be presented with a login screen for authorization. There can be different ways to do this ranging from simple to not-so-simple depending on exactly what and how you want to do it. Probably the simplest approach can be to make use of transient property of user-profile in a switch droplet and redirect to the login page using the Redirect droplet as required for an anonymous user. The example here will gives an idea of this approach:
    Oracle ATG Web Commerce - Other Commonly Used Servlet Beans
    In case you have customized the userProfile definition by adding your own security-status and customized the request pipeline to set the security-status based on your application logic then you can use it in place of Profile.transient.
    Another approach is to add your own AuthenticationServlet in the request handling pipeline based on the BasicAuthenticationPipelineServlet class similar to what has been used for dyn/admin. Refer this documentation
    Oracle ATG Web Commerce - Authentication
    There is one more way where you can add your own servlet-filter for your application which can extend atg.servlet.DispatchFilter class so that you can specify parameters like login or redirect page, pages to check etc. through <init-param> section of your filter entry in web.xml and access them in your filter class with their respective getter/setter. Apply the necessary checks and logic inside the overridden doFilterRequest() of your filetr-class and you are all set.

  • Webcenter Portal integration with ATG

    Are there any webcenter portal implementation where the ATG storefront features have been been exposed through the webcenter Portal. Are there any plugins or interfaces to enable the integration between portal & ATG.

    Hi Sameer -
    OOTB you can publish assets directly to disk using Export to XML, but you realize that by doing that, you're essentially using Sites as a very expensive GUI over a database.  By using a combination of Java classes and JSPs you can create very rich markup (or XML, or JSON, or whatever you like) and render that, then export that data to disk.  That way you can traverse asset relationships and write much more complex data to disk for consumption by external systems.
    As for your options of #1 vs #2, you need to think carefully about what your goals are for using Sites and for using ATG.  There are a number of other integration options between Sites and ATG, including the reverse of #1, which is to have Sites render most pages and then consume data from ATG in service form.  There is also the efficient and decoupled approach of standing up ATG and Sites side-by-side and selectively integrating components together.  So Sites would drive marketing content and ATG would drive commerce content, and the two would leverage service APIs between the two when needed (for example, to render an ATG promo in Sites, or to render a detailed product description from Sites in ATG).
    Each approach has pros and cons and there is no Correct Way To Integrate ATG and Sites, but there are, as you can see, several common patterns.
    Hope this helps.
    Sincerely,
    Tony Field

  • ATG Chef Cookbook for JBoss Stack

    Hello,
    Just wanted to share with you the ATG Cookbook I built and open sourced for anyone to use, abuse, or improve.
    Current version handled ATG core 10.0.3 platform on JBoss stack. Its flexible enough to handle single server dev workstation to full production system with 1 to 4 jboss server instances per box. It installs Jboss EAP, jboss start/stop scripts, JDK, and includes the ATG core platform configurations and datasources. It accounts for lock, PES, GSS, workflow management across when clustering across more than 1 jboss servers. It does not install ATG itself nor deploy ear files.
    You will need to be familiar with ATG and chef to use this. Utilization of data bags for datasource and jmx console authentication and environments for environment overrides. Once setup and working, adding new environments are a breeze. If you've ever worked with a QA team thats constantly asking for new environments to test this or that function, then you'll love this cookbook!
    Heres the link to opscode community site where the ATG cookbook resides.
    http://community.opscode.com/cookbooks/atg
    Please provide feedback if any. I will eventually add other modules such as CSC, Search or Endeca if I get around to it.
    Next updates planned are for 10.1 differences and perhaps I'll find a way to make this cookbook ATG version aware to handle 9.1, 10.0.x and 10.1. It is time consuming so feel free to pitch in.
    Enjoy!

    Hello Gopinath,
    Check out http://www.gzip.org/
    "To extract .tar and .tar.gz files on Windows 9x/NT/2000/ME/XP use PowerArchiver 6.1 (freeware) or 7-zip (freeware) or Winzip (commercial). For tar on MSDOS or other systems, see the FAQ of the comp.compression newsgroup."
    Also this cookbook won't do you much good unless you have chef/ruby installed on your windows machine. So check out the following link on Opscode site:
    http://wiki.opscode.com/display/chef/Workstation+Setup+for+Windows
    Its usually easier to work with this stuff on a nix machine then trying to get windows to bend over backwards.
    Let me know if you have any more questions.

  • Configuring oracle db with ATG

    Hi,
    can anyone tell me how to configure atg with oracle 10g database.
    what are all the steps to be followed?...

    I assume you have created the user and the required ATG tables.
    After then create the file if you like to use ATG datasources.
    C:\ATG\ATG9.3\home\localconfig\atg\dynamo\service\jdbc\FakeXADataSource.properties
    user=supreme
    password=password1
    needsSeparateUserInfo=true
    URL=jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:xe
    readOnly=false
    database=xe
    driver=oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
    If you would like to use app server datasources then create
    C:\ATG\ATG9.3\home\localconfig\atg\dynamo\service\jdbc\DirectJTDataSource.properties
    $class=atg.nucleus.JNDIReference
    JNDIName=ATGProductionDS
    And configure the app server datasource depending upon the app server with JNDI Name ATGProductionDS
