Acobat 10.1.10.18

I just updated my Acrobat Pro X to this version 10.1.10.18.  It has been crashing every since.  It would not even stay up long enough to run Repair from the Help menu so I ran repair from Uninstall Programs\change and rebooted.  Still crashing with this error:

Has anyone have similar experience with the recent update?  any ideas other than uninstall and re-install.  This is reminiscent of the trouble I went through with 8 on XP Pro, repairing or re-installing every week.

Having an issue here doing as you say.  Your command to CD did not work so I did get to the location listed below.
I get:
Unable to create file 'c:\temp.dmp' - Win32 error 0n1314
    "A required privilege is not held by the client." Using the x64 and x86 program below.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Debuggers\x86\windbg.exe"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Debuggers\x64\windbg.exe"
I started the program "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Debuggers\x86\windbg.exe “ with “Run as Administrator” and the ran the windbg.exe –I after I migrated to C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Debuggers\x86\ in an elevated command prompt run as Administrator.
I tried several times but kept getting the error:
Unable to create file 'c:\temp.dmp' - Win32 error 0n1314
    "A required privilege is not held by the client." Using the x64 and x86 program below.
The Debugger di generate information which I have attached directly from the program.  If you have any way around the required privilege I will try again.

  • Serial not working for Acobat X

    Hi, I've just installed a new version of CS5. I was using the trial version for a few weeks and I realised that Acrobat Pro was not installed.
    Not to worry I thought.
    Today, I bought the serial for Design Premium CS5 and rang Adobe to confirm that we would recieve Acrobat X serial upon purchasing the serials.
    They said we would.
    Indeed, I did get two serials. However, one was for CS5 Design Premium (which worked!) and the other was for Acobat 9 Pro which does not work with my installed trial version of Acrobat X.
    Can someone from the Customer Support team please help as I currently have a trial version of Acrobat X that's still asking for a serial.

    Creative Suite currently ships with Acrobat 9 - *not* Acrobat X.
    Because of the way the license manager operates, you always get two serial numbers - one for CS, and one for Acrobat - but serials for Acrobat 9 will not of course work for Acrobat X, trial or no trial.
    Acrobat X Pro will be included in the next dot release of CS5, details of which will be sent automatically to customers with a support subscription plan. At this time we cannot give any more information on dates, prices or upgrade paths.

    This could happen due to an Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installation file corruption. I will recommend you to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, restart your system & reinstall Adobe Acrobat Reader DC using this link Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions.

    Can anyone assit on this problem?
    Run Acobat 9 on a windows 7 machine. Create a new blank PDF and then add a 15 second "record audio comment." Save PDF - file size about 80K.
    Do the same thing on a IMac. Run Acobat 9 on a Mac OS (10.6) machine. Create a new PDF and then add a 15 second "record audio comment." Save PDF - file size about 3 megs!!!!!!!
    Cannot figure out why the audio is so large on the Mac.

    I restarted the computer and it did nothing. I got all the same error messages.
    I really don't appreciate the "thin" support provided by Adobe.

  • Adobe Acobat 10.1.7 is slow to print

    I have a Winodws 7 Alienware computer running adobe 10.1.7.
    When I select a document to print I get the printer dialog box, make my selections and all is great, when I get the printer progress dialog box I get nothing for two-5 minutes then my print out start and finishes. I have opened Task Manager during the print dialog progress box and I see no Adobe programs running, until the 2-5 minutes then I see the adobe programs and then progress dialog box disapears.
    My question is what do I need to do to get adobe to start the actual printing faster, I have repaired the Adobe Acobat program, I have done this with lots of programs open and no other program running same results.
    Please advise next steps

    Reader 11.0.03 is the latest build for Windows 7.  I'd recommend running the Adobe Cleaner first to remove all traces of 10, and then install 11

    I have the exact same problem. I updated to 3.6.12 and encountered the "blank page" printing problem. I ended up re installing Firefox 3.0.19. Printing works great. Also Firefox 3.5.15 gave the same blank page printing problem. I also installed "Better privacy" and " Ghostery"at the time of updates. These programs do not run under the 3.0.19 version. Not sure if if they are related to the problem. Good luck and hope a solution to the problem comes about.

    Thanks for this; my issue is that I have now supposedly purchased a retail version of Acrobat X1 (i.e just spent more $$, after the upgrade attempt  to Acrobat X1 failed), and while this feigns an OK install, it fails in someway to override the "Upgrade Acrobat X1 version".  E.G. once I load up to read an acrobat file the "upgrade version" executes/intercepts and ask for serial numbers and check for a previous qualifying version which I do not have, (BUT what I do have is the current retail version of acrobat X1 which is not recognised)
    Do I need to uninstall and start over again? (I am reluctant to do this as I am sure serial number issues will arise, as I assume downloaded file will be cleaned up etc, and I am not spending more money trying again!)
    Any suggestions?

    Acobat 8.1 will not print a line or a box on PDF, even though it is displayed on the document. Why?

    The line or box still is not displayed on the printed copy.
    The document has been saved with the line or box and it still will not print these items.

    I purchaed and downloaded Adobe Acobat XI Pro and installed. When I attempt to open the program I get a pop up window that saysv "Serial Number you provided in valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer." There is a drop down product list on the window with Adobe products but Adobe Acobat XI Pro is not on the list.

    That means your trial period is over and you either need to sign in ( If you own a subscription ) or you need to enter the Valid serial number. If you don't own a subscription and doesn't have a valid serial number then you would have to purchase the product.

    I created a menu that does a "Save As" which converts pdf to jpeg in Acorbat 7.0 on XP Pro OS.  In MS VBA code, I do the following VBA Code that execute the menu in Acrobat using "MenuItemExecute".

    In order to run my custom Menu "SaveToJPEG" which is really a "Save As" to jpeg, I had to set the Edit>Preferences>JavaScript to "Enabled menu items JavaScripts execution privileges" and "Enable Acrobat JavaScript".    The above code works in my MS Access VBA program in Acrobat 7.0 running in XP Pro OS.
    I am having problems running Acrobat 9.2 on Win 7 Pro, and I get the following error "An Internal Error Occurred" when it execute the code line gApp.MenuItemExecute "SaveToJPEG"
    I made the changes to Edit>Preferences>JavaScript to "Enabled menu items JavaScripts execution privileges" and "Enable Acrobat JavaScript" too.
    I am able to select "SaveToJPEG" from the menu bar only when I have a pdf file open, and it does make a jpeg !   This means my JavaScript of my menu works in Acrobat 9.2.
    I also checked the registry HEY_KEY_Computer_User\software\adobe\adobe acrobat\9.0\JSPrefs\bEnableJS   ,   bEnableMenuItems,  bEnableGlobalSecurity
    The bEnableJS is Hex 1, and the bEnableMenuItems is Hex 1, and the bEnableGlobalSecurity is Hex 1
    I do know that acrobat 9.0+ does have the ability in the menu to do the same thing, but I want to keep my code compatible with acrobat 7.0
    Then the MenuItemExecute will not work in multiple menu flow down like Export>Image>Jpeg.   I would also appreciate how to reference this menu too !

    I got the app.listMenuItems() to work.   I have to use the lower right side Enter key.  It appears that the two Enter keys don't work the same here.
    I used the following script to list the menu items:
         var menuItems = app.listMenuItems()

    I got the following:   It was very long, but I will just print a few of them.   How do I spot the formal name for my "SaveToJPEG" menu item???  It is the second one.
