ACR 8.4 not available in Bridge CS6
After installation of ACR 8.4 there is no communication between Bridge and ACR. If you open ACR preferences in Bridge nothing happens. When you right-click a raw file in Bridge there is no "Open in camera raw" option. When you open raw files in Photoshop from within Bridge and do adjustments in ACR those changes do not update in the Bridge previews. The preference "double-click edits camera raw settings in bridge" also do not work.
I have noticed this on two diiferent installations running OSX 10.9.2. Any ideas ?
there might be a problem with the Camera Raw plugin. Keep watching the discussion here

Thumbnails in Bridge CS3 for ACR 4.6 not available
I have a problem, that I can open raw files per double click, but I dont get a preview in Bridge for my Canon EOS 50D.
Also if I use the mouse button open in camera raw is not available. If I use open from the menu, the raw is opened in ACR 4.6 correctly.
Also purging the chache was no success
ANy tipps?
I reinstalled until now two times without any successHi Jim,
I will check if I have another version in place. Maybe now I get a problem because I use Bridge for viewing the new pictures, classifying by tags. For searches later on I have Photoshop elements because of it´s fast database. For PSE I now need Version 7 with Camera Raw 5.2, for Bridge and CS3 (more complex actions for improving my pictures) I had to install ACR 4.6.
From Bridge I can open the pictures with "open" and 4.6 appears before entering CS3. But in Bridge the option "open with camera raw" is not available.
Hopefully I only have 2 ACR 4.x versions in the CS3 directories. This would be easy to solve. Otherwise it seems to get more and more enerving to find the error. -
Bridge CC cache not compatible with bridge CS6
Starting the Photoshop CC adventure. First install was Bridge. First test was to see if the Bridge CC cache is compatible with Bridge CS6 cache. First result is NO.
Test method:
1. Set the Bridge CC cache location to the same folder I use for CS6, which contains 10+ gigs of thumbs for my library.
2. Navigated Bridge CC to a sub-folder with about 30 images, see Bridge CC re-do the thumb extractions.
3. Close Bridge CC, launch Bridge CS6, navigate to the same sub-folder, see Bridge CS6 re-do the thumb extractions.
4. Close Bridge CS6, launch Bridge CC, still pointing to the same sub-folder, see it re-do thumb extractions again.
5. Repeat steps 3&4, always with same result, a redundant re-generation of thumbs.
Conclusion:
The actual thumbnail files in the cache are the same. But something happens in the index files (data/store) to make each version think it does not have thumbnails, so it re-generates them. IOW, when Bridge CC looks at the cache last used by Bridge CS6 it says "I have not been here, must re-cache", and visa-versa.
Solution:
Must let Bridge CC have its own separate cache, so the two versions don't walk over each other. Must let Bridge CC re-cache everything, which for me (and most users I assume) will be a long and time consuming process.
Not much surprise here. The same was true for CS5 vs. CS6.Not much surprise here. The same was true for CS5 vs. CS6.
Then it also should not be a surprise for you that this behavior already started in the Filebrowser (Bridge predecessor that came with CS1 and by far the most stable and fast cache ever in the history of Bridge) and has not changed since. Nor is it likely it will chance in the future.
Hence my advice to not use Bridge for long term DAM because you need to recache the lot every new version... -
Adobe camera raw will not respond in bridge cs6?
adobe camera raw does not respond in adobe bridge? I am trying to open Jpegs, which i have previously been able to do so by right clicking and opening in adobe camera raw. Now it is unresponsive.

My preliminary findings suggest possible workaround
a. Open camera raw in Photoshop 5 or 5.5 and then open edited raw image in Bridge CS6
or
b. There is a preferences route to check out.
Not being a Photoshop user, this is a quick suggestion where you might start looking. This is apparently a known issue.
The Photoshop users should be able to give you all the details and options you have for workarounds for now.

Reading Advanced Metadata in Smart Collections, not working in Bridge CS6
In Bridge CS5 you could make an Smart collection that were looking for: All metadata > contains > "here we add a value from a metadata only visible from the Advanced tab in File info"
But this nolonger works in CS6.
Although I can go to File info and see the metadata value that are visible from Advanced. But the option All metadata, clearly doesn't support the advanced metadata in the file in CS6.
Could this be a bug in CS6?If any one like to try this yourself and get same or other result, please let me know!

I don't have CS5 installed anymore but CS6 is still present while I use Bridge CC for my daily workflow (MacPro MacOSX 10.8.5).
I first copied 4 DNG files from my main folder to a subfolder. Those files I added a name to the IPTC extension persons name and saved.
Checked and this name shows in the IPTC extension persons name field in Metadata panel as well as in Advanced Tab in File Info IPTC Extended Properties / IPTC4xmpExt:PersonInImage(Bag container).
I closed the subfolder and used the smart collection icon to bring up the Find window.
I then selected All metadata and filled in the persons name, had subfolders and non indexed already included and put the source field to the main DNG folder.
The result was almost instant with the 4 files showing.
I then quitted Bridge CC and started Bridge CS6
Since I had not used this for a while and my main folder contained 4500 DNG I set the cache quality icon to embedded only. Selected the same folder and followed the same procedure as in CC.
Naturally it took a bit longer because the files needed to be indexed first, yet after this the result was still the same, the 4 DNG files with the persons name showed in the smart collection.
So on my behalf I can't reproduce your problem and for me it is not a bug also I'm afraid. -
Even local drives not seen by Bridge CS6 (64bit)
Hi,
I am having problems with Bridge CS6 unable to find any drives in the system as well as Network Drives. The funny thing is I can see all local and Network Drives in Bridge in the Folders Panel as well as in Edit->Camera Raw Preferences, but when I try Edit ->Preferences->Cache-> Choose, all I see is Desktop & \User Folder. No local drives or network drives. I am running Bridge as an Adminstrator, and Windows 7 Professional, 64Bit. I do not have any problems whatsoever in other CS6 applications like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Indesign, Fireworks, Dreamweaver etc.

DNG image not appearing in Bridge CS6
When I open Bridge on my laptop I find that instead of images from the DNG files appearing, what I get are small icons having DNG and a camera iris. This happened after I reinstalled the CS6 program. (I managed to lose the icuuc40.dll file and received a message advising to reinstall the program).
I use my laptop when travelling. I download all files from the camera onto it and view them in Bridge. After returning home I transfer the files to the PC desktop for processing etc.. Bridge is working normally on the desktop.
Assistance in sorting matters will be greatly appreciated.

Convert to DNG not available in Bridge photo downloader?
All of a sudden when I try to upload RAW photos from my Nikon D5100, "Convert to DNG" is shown in grey and will not let me select it in the photo downloader. I am having to use an outside converter instead. Also, the Camera Raw application is acting up - not letting me open images with Command + R, not saving image ratings of 5 stars, etc. Any ideas on how to resolve these issues? I am guessing that they are linked...
It was all of a sudden...randomly and not after an upgrade as far as I am aware.
Since you mention 10.9.3 which is a recent update it may well be caused by this update. Read the article Yammer provided and try that. Also as described in earlier post, restart Bridge holding down option (alt) key and from the menu choose reset preferences.
But there have been some problems with recent ACR and DNG in photodownloader that should have been solved with latest ACR. So also try the manual download and install of the link Yammer provided. -
I am trying to create a web gallery in CS6. I have done this before in Photoshop with CS3, but now that it has changed to bridge it doesn't seem to work for me. There is no preview option within Bridge which is a bit frustrating, but I at least have the "preview in browser" options. Except, when I hit "preview in browser", my browser opens but it just opens to the current window open - I am not getting a preview at all. The only way I can seem to preview is to save the file, then open it in the browser - but this way I cannot play with the various settings and I am finding it very frustrating.
There should be a way in Bridge to change the default browser. Perhaps my browser settings are not allowing it to open, however, I cannot find an option to switch it open in another browser... also very frustrating.
This extremely simple web gallery creator, which I have used easily in CS3, seems to be less user friendly in Bridge.

ACR 3.7 not available in the Camera Calibration Profile
On a Mac G5 in the Develop module>Camera Calibration panel the only Profile that shows up is ACR 3.6. I have Camera Raw 3.7 installed in Library>Application Support>Adobe> Plug-Ins>CS2>File Formats>Camera Raw.plugin.
I have a new camera that is supported only by 3.7. Any ideas why this isn't available in the menu?Yes. Because that only tells you WHEN your camera were profiled.
I think mine say 2.4 or something like that.
If your camera has been reprofiled you may have the option to use a older version in that menu.
For the record, LR doesn't care if you upgrade Camera Raw or not. LR is somewhat based on Camera Raw but is a completely separate app.

ACR Dialog Box not fully visible issue CS6
I've got an issue with the ACR Dialog Box in PhotoshopCS6 when opening RAW files.
The names various parameters (Temperature, Tint, Exposure, Blacks, Contrast etc.) are not visible, however you can see the sliders.
It looks like a graphics issue as the background is black, but you cannot aee any text save for that in the WB dropdown.
I've Googled this but not found any similar issues. It's very odd. Deleting the preferences hasn't made a difference, neither has a fresh install.

ThanksThanks people for your swift solution. I did look in the forums as well as in search engines, but didn't find these posts.
I'll reinstall (or overwrite) the OS.
FYI I'm on 10.8.4 on a Mac and do have MacKeeper, so there must be something in it.... grrrr
Like people say it doesn't effects the 'normal' PS menus/screens, but does the ACR and I just checked the SAVE FOR WEB, and that too has the same issue.... (ACR 8.1 - PS 13)
Hopefully someone clever will actually work out what it is that's being lost or corrupted.

App World not available when bridged
I cannot open App World on my playbook when bridged to my torch. It says to ensure I'm connected to a wireless network. Can App world not be accessed through the phone's 3G connection? I also get network errors when I click on a link while bridged. Not sure if it's related, but the bridge Browser works fine with the same links cut/pasted in.

Camera Raw Preferences not working in Bridge CS6
When I try to choose this nothing happens - I don't get the preference panel or any kind of error. It is as if I did nothing.
Without system info and otehr details nobody can say anything.

AI CS6 OSX - font loaded, not available in AI
So I've got a font family loaded (via Universal Type Server, not that it seems to matter) that is completely available in all applications but CS.
It looks like the font is possibly poorly named and AI is collapsing all 4 members of the family into a single menu entry.
Is there an easy fix for this?It’s a ttf file – Frutiger. I’ve managed to get it into InDesign, but not Photoshop or Illustrator. Always seem to have problems with this font!

Ethernet Cable "Not Connected" for W510
