ACR 8.4 Update Problem

Today when I use Photoshop CC menu Help>Updates.... It found and installed ACR 8.4 and Updated CS6 ACR to version 8.4. However Photoshop CC ACR remains at level 8.3. So I use Photoshop CC menu Help>Updates... again and it show everything is up to date. I the use its about button that was not help. So I the use its Preferences button. It now looks like my Adobe Application Manager preferences are set to only look for CS6 updates and the is no way to set its preferences to also check for CC updates. Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application state Applications are up to date including Photoshop CC. However ACR is not shown in the Creative cloud Desktop application window.
Did Photoshop CC ACR get update to 8.4 on any user Windows machine?

Yes I had two problems lately.
My CS6 was still at the none subscriber level but showed up to date in the Creative Cloud Desktop. Deactivating CS6 then updating CS6 also did not updated CS6 to 13.1.2. So I installed CS6 over itself to back level it to 13.0 . I use the trial option during the install. However it installed as an Activated CS6 ay level 13.0. Because my CS6 credentials were still intact as were my Photoshop CS6 Preferences. I then used menu help>updates and it updated the activated CS6 to 13.1.2. http://forums.adobe.com/message/6232252#6232252
Some time after that I had a problem Signing into the creative cloud desktop application. Others also had this problem applying the IMSLib.dll update did not fix this for me and some others. The new ACR 5.5 update will not install in Elements 7.0

This situation is now becoming ridiculous (well, for me that is). I just tried to install the new ACR 5.5 update and it is "unable to install" into Elements 7.0. I downloaded the update several times, unzipped the install file, but when trying to install, it just gives me a message that it is unable to install and to hit the "quit" button.
I have a Vista 64 Bit system with 12 Gigs of RAM. I've installed Elements 7.0 and Lightroom 2.5 on my system - all with no problems. For some reason, I could never get Photoshop CS-4 to install at all and I've been through the mill trying to install Photoshop - but nothing worked and had to eventually give up. Trying to get Adobe support for CS installation on my 64 Bit system has been ridiculous in this regard as each and every time I called, I was connected with some techrep located in India who all they did was "parrot" back what I told them - how frustrating. But as I mentioned, Elements 7.0 and Lightroom installed just fine.
The previous ACR 5.4 installed just fine into Elements, but now...ACR 5.5 will not install. It tells me that I do NOT have CS-4 installed so it cannot install. What's up with that? Has Adobe stopped supporting the latest ACR upgrades for Elements? What gives?
Does anybody just have just the newest ACR 5.5 plug-in by itself that they can send me so I can just put it in my plug-ins folder (or a place where I can download it)? Adobe used to just have the plug-in that you could unzip and copy and paste and put it into your plug-in folders - but not anymore. Now they make it an 82 Meg install program and thus some of my problems.
Can anybody help here? Why does the install program look for CS-4, yet overlook Elements 7.0 completely. Helpppppppppp.

Sorry to listen that you havent been able to install the Camera Raw 5.5 plugin.
But as far as my knowledge goes for PSE, PSE never lists Camera Raw plugin for updates in the Updater Preferences dialog i.e., if you will launch Help->Check for updates, a updater window will open. If you will check the preferences of that updater dialog, it will tell you that it never checks for updates for Camera Raw plugin unlike what happens in Mac. In Mac Camera Raw updates does get installs just by installing PSE(v6 of course as there is no PSE7 for Mac. Hopefully there will be a v8 for Mac by the end of october as seen in the last release).
Dont know exact reason why Adobe had configured it in that way? why there is some difference between Win and Mac.
So it prompts me that somehow you need to install Ps CS4 on the machine to get the patch installation through updater. Although this is not Ps forum, would you mind telling what error/issues are you facing while installing Ps CS4?

First off, did you download the right Camera Raw 5.5? If you go to the Camera Raw 5.5 updates page, I think the downloadable there is for Photoshop. There should be a line that has a link to a Photoshop Elements download page.

If you installed ACR before then you know the procedure. Just in case you don't, try this:
Here's what I do for ACR installs:
I navigate to the PSE/Plugins/file formats folder.
I rename the existing Camera Raw.8bi to Camera Raw.8bi.old
I download the ACR 5.5
Right-click on the zipped folder and select Extract All...
I right-click on and select copy for the Camera Raw.8bi file
I then right-click in an open area of the File Formats folder and select Paste.
I open PSE6 and drag a couple of NEF's to it. ACR opens and shows the NEFs ready for editing.
That's it. My understanding has always been that installing ACR updates is not your normal 'install' like with other programs. It's a copy/paste of one file.

How can I see ACR is busy (updating the screen)

I use an older PC with Win XP, PS CS6 and ACR 7.3
When I've made several modifications the pc is getting slower and slower.
I've read when ACR is working, there appears an icon like this:
But that is only in the beginnning when ACR is starting....so far I know.
Suggestion for next version of ACR:
Is it possible to change the mouse indicator in something like :
Why this .....than there is an visual working-indicator .....if you make little changes you can positioning the mouse on that aera .... and waiting....when the icon changes back to normal.... the screen-update is finished.......so you can better toggle between "before" and "after"

Ok I understand, the ICON was not clear to me.
The fact remains that ACR is busy updating.

This second reason is not clear to me.
In my case it takes 5-8 seconds before the screen is updated.
But I can NOT see exactly when ACR is ready (especially with small changes), I have to guess when it's done ............
I can see something in the histogram, but not always, and it is also not synchronized (with ACR's updating) .......
And not everyone has the latest / fastest model PC ......
And another mouse icon programming is peanuts (only 1 system call, isn't it) .....
And there are more programms that have a hourglass.....

But.............Maybe there are more people with a similar problem....or have an other suggestion for it?
Other suggestion: Now ACR is updating the histogram first and after that the screen is updated.
How about to exchange those two ? ...so that the histogram is (always) the final action that ACR does when it is updating the midifications that are made.

Update problem - VBDATA table

Dear All,
We have update problems in our Quality systems, and also in every R/3 system that we create from a Production system copy.
Sometime the UPD and UP2 work processes hung without apparent reason.
In the SM50 I can see one or more of my update processes running for a lot of time (many hours) on the table VBDATA without perform any action.
In the tcode SM12 I donu2019t see any kind of lock, and I donu2019t understand why only sometime this problem happens.
Of course, from the SM13 I can see that during this problem the system is not able to perform any kind of update.
As I told in the beginning of the message, I have the same problem in other two R/3 systems, both created with a system copy from the production system.
The Production and the Developer systems seem not affected by this problem.
Have you got any idea about the reason of the problem?
Even if the Production systems is not directly affected, all the IT department is not able to work on the Quality system (or any other Test system), and the only workaround is to kill the UPD (or UP2) WPs affected.

Good point!!
After the reorganization (ST14 u2013 Reorganize update requests) the table VBDATA is empty.
Iu2019ll check and Iu2019ll let you know if the problem is definitively solved.

Chart x scale update problem

LabVIEW 8.5.1
Sweep Chart Problem
The x scale values do not update until after the 2nd sweep. The red line cursor gets to the end of the sweep and starts the next, but the scale numbers do not update until the next sweep starts.
It appears to be a problem with the chart, since it happens with any vi with a sweep chart. I've used versions 6 through 7 for years and never seen this. I've only recently moved to a new job with a new machine and version 8.5.1., so I'm not sure what to try.
I've included a simple example.

You have a typical race condition!
There is no data dependency between the property node and the while loop, so in your case the loop starts executing first and the property node starts slightly later, immediately erasing the first point. Execution order is not defined.
All you need to do is add a data dependency, e.g. as with the error cluster in the image. This forces the property node to complete before the loop is allowed to start.
(Execution order is enforced even if the wire value is not even used inside the loop )

Updating problem...I have a update that starts out going through but then does not finish just keep running

also with the update problem it says software update and below the running bar it says connecting to the server

Please do the following: 
#Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0.1] and download a fresh installation file to the desktop. 
#Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box''). 
#Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 
#Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier. 
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.

10.5.7 update problems

After installing the 10.5.7 update, Mail, iTunes and iPhoto will not run anymore. Anyone else having this problem?

Cache update problem in Integration Directory

Hi all,
We have a cache update problem in our PI development server.
If we try to edit, save and activate any of the ID objects, under Cache notifications>Central Adapter Engine> all these objects are displayed as gray items.
We have tried:
1. Clearing the SLD Data Cache.
2. Did SXI_CACHE complete refresh.
3. Did CPA cache refresh.
4. Did a complete cache refresh of the server.
5. Restarted the server.
But still the problem has not bee resolved. Could you pls provide your inputs and resolution points.

HI Jack ,
first try to manually update the cache from ID select on your cache notifiaction and click on delta cache refresh button and refresh button .IF it does not yied any result then
Perform a full cache refresh using the URL
http://<host>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full . If the cache refresh happens properly then your problem will get resolved other wise you have to see the cache log to view why it failed there it will show you the exact reason . You might need to restart your java server also if the problem persist .

Twitter Update Problem

Seems I have a Twitter Update problem. 1. I have no pirated software on my computer either from the App Store or anywhere else. 2. I did buy a set off templates for iWork through the App Store with my Bosses Apple ID (it's for work). Is that really the problem. That's ridiculous. The apple ID is mine, as is much of the software, but it's a computer use for work. If this is true it makes the App Store a lot less useful.

my apologies I was so annoyed. I didn't bother to state my issue. The issue is: Twitter is constantly asking to be updated. Even after it's updated. Even if it's deleted. I looked at the forums for a solution and found that people were having this problem who installed pirated app store apps.
I am logged into the app store on my account. All but one of the apps on my machine that come from the app store are on my account. However there is one piece of software on my account that I purchased, by logging out and logging in with her ID, purchasing it, installing and logging out, and again logging in as myself. I don't have an issue with that app. However Twitter, which was installed under my username, constantly says it needs to be updated. Hope that makes it clearer.

ACR 7.4 update for CS6

Updater mechanism (CS6) is not seeing the available ACR 7.4 update. Any recommendations for access to the update? Running Mac OS X 10.8.3. Upon upgragding to CS6, Adobe Application Manager stopped finding available updates. I have had to manually update Photoshop/Bridge ever since the CS6 upgrade. "All applications are up-to-date" has been the only message received when searching for updates.

Ran the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool.
Reinstalled Photoshop CS6 from the "Your Downloads" page.
Opened CS6 13.0. Checked for updates. Application Manager found updates for Bridge, Ext. Mgr., Photoshop and Camera Raw.
The updates could not be applied. Per the error log...Error Code: U43M1D207 for the following...

I ran the update mechanism a second time...received the message "Your applications are all up-to-date."

Sadly, the iPhone 3G can not be upgraded beyond iOS 4.2.1.
