Hopefully we'll get an DNG Converter 8.8 so Lightroom folks w/o CC can use it, although maybe that's the point, only CC users get to have it, and they can use Bridge/ACR to convert to DNGs for LR if they have the Photography Plan.

Help / Updates wasn't working, earlier in the morning.
My guess about LR is that there won't be one, but it depends on when Adobe wants to release it. LR has more overhead for a release than ACR since it is a full featured program not just a plug-in. If LR 6 is due out in the next month or two I'd guess we won't see a LR 5.8. If Adobe has given up and pushed it back until summer, then maybe they'd come back and do a LR 5.8.
In any case, the DNG Converter 8.8 would be the way to go if you want to work with things before LR 6 or LR 5.8 if there would be one.

Creating PDFs using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and can only see the first 10 pages in PDF even when the page numbers on bottom state 10 of 13 (or any number greater than 10).

PDFs create great, unless they should be over 10 pages and then it appears the data was converted to PDF by viewing the page numbers at the bottom of the PDF but you can only view the first 10 pages in the pdf file.

Could you please let me know what exact dot version of Acrobat 9 and OS you are using.
Have you tried repairing Acrobat from the Help menu?
Acrobat 9 is an older version and incompatible with new OS versions, so I would suggest you to try using Acrobat XI (latest version) and check for the same.

Print in PDF only Prints the first two pages

I am have been ahving problems with my creat PDF account, only printing the first two pages, when i print something to PDF from a webpage. I.E. Pinterest. It will only print the first two pages and the rest will be blank or incomplete. I am at the end of my rope and dont know how to fix it. I recently got Acrobat 9 standard thinking this may help, but the problem still exists, which irritates me more. Please help!

PDF sent from SAP 4.6C only shows the first 10 pages

Since a few weeks a spoolrequest that is produced by a job contains more than 10 pages. This report is automatically converted to pdf and mailed to an external recipient, but the pdf only contains the first 10 pages.
When I look into this spool request in SAP, I can see all pages.
Does anyone know how to include all pages in the PDF?

hi,
by default only the first 10 pages of spool are being saved (or converted to pdf in another way). you can change this settings. here i'll show you the way :
- goto SP02 or SP01, input suitable parameters
- select your spool request
- press F6 to display the content
- navigate to : goto >> display request >> setting
- from popup window, on "Display Area" section, you can set the page settings for your spool. the default value is only from page 1 to 10, you can set it as you need (in example from page 1 to 100), but beware, setting it too high in some case will cause memory issue.

PDF only shows the first 4 pages

I am trying to convert an Excel spreadsheet to .pdf format
via Adobe's 5-copies-free converter. It seems to work at first
blush. But when I read the .pdf version, it only shows the first 4
pages of my Excel spreadsheet. This leaves 75% of my spreadsheet
unconverted. What gives here????

I have a purchased ibook that is only showing the first 40 pages out of a 300 page book

This is a book that I had purchased a while ago, read the whole thing, and then deleted from my iphone to make room for more books. Now I would like to read it again but when I re-downloaded it, only the first 40 pages appear. I've tried deleting then redownloading again and even updating the app but I can't get the rest of the book to appear. Help.

It sounds like she may be using a different account then the one that was used to purchase 10.8
If you cannot locate the purchase, contact the iTunes Store so they can help you figure out which account it's attached to.

How to put Total Amount only on the section last page?

I have been working on oracle purchasing report. I have used <?for-each@section:G_HEADERS?>. So report is paged based on new PO number. However, I have put a total amount on footer section. If the report with one specific PO number haas more than one page, for example, total page as 3, I'd like total field shows "Continued" on page 1 and 2, only list the total number on page 3. Does anyone know how to do that? The logic will be something like:
if (currentPageNum < sectionTotalPage), then 'Continued', else <?TOTALAMT?>. However, I don't know how I can get currentPageNum and how to get sectionTotalPage.

thank you for your reply, but the situatiation is the following:
I have a dynamic form with two tabels, both of them are included into two separated subforms. And because I do not know how many lines will have each of them I have no clue how to force Designer to display the footer (or any object) at the very buttom on the last page only. I already included the footer into separated subform before I asked the question, but the problem is, that the footer is not displayed at the very buttom of the page, but directly behind the second tabel (subform). So it can happen that the second tabel will end at the top of the last page, it can have only 5 lines on the last page and in this case the footer will be displayed at the top or in the middle of the last page, not at the very buttom. This is my problem.

Only sending the first 16 pages of spool out of full 145

Hi gurus,
We got problem with sending e mail (spool recipients). After completion of a back ground job, the job should send the a pdf report to the mail address specified. But out of 145 pages it is sending only 16 pages (2MB) of data. Can any one help or guide me to fix this problem.

Issues making restricted Printers available via the IIS Web page in Windows 2008 R2

I've gone through the standard procedure of restricting access to printers by doing the following:
Remove the Everyone group from Access list on the Security Tab (which removes Print and Read Permissions)
Add my restricted AD group PRINT-RESTRICT to the Access List (which adds Print and Read Permissions)
However, once I've removed the Everyone group, those printers are no longer listed on the IIS webpage,

Users in the restricted group can actually add the printers and use them successfully by going to the Add Printer wizard on their PC, and searching for printers to add in the directory, however I really want one set of instructions for all people to
add and manage their printers, (and the web page is the simplest method)
I've tried adding the Everyone group back in with Read Permissions and not Print, however this doesn't fix things. I've also tried adding the PRINT-RESTRICT group into the Print Server object, but no change their either.
Can anyone help with the permission that controls visibility of the Printer in the IIS web page for Windows 2008 R2 ?

Good news, I did actually work out a solution.
Simply give the IUSR account Print access to the restricted use printer. (the printer that has the Everyone group removed)
Since this is the account that display the web page, as long as that account has access to the printers, the printers continue to be displayed for users to connect to. The solution still restricts the printer, as you need to be in a group or have print rights
for the user to actually Connect to the printer.

I have set up itunes match usiing my Windows laptop and synced my iphone 5 and ipad 3 with it, but quite a few songs (albums and songs within albums) haven't synced at all. Is this a known issue? Also when I try to update match it takes forever and often tells me that the internet connection has timed out, yet I'm still surfing on other devices etc...

It's not through USB - I know that that is disabled when Match is enabled. An example might deonstrate the issue better:
I can see Alabama Shakes listed in my artists view on my phone/pad library, but when I open it the songs are all greyed out and won't play. Their is no cloud symbol either. On my laptop, the songs are their and play fine, but have a cloud symbol next to them...

Firefox will only show the google home page or a File not Found error, no matter which site I try to go to

Ever since 3.64.4 was installed, Firefox opens in my default homepage but whenver I try to navigate anywhere else, it goes to http://www.google.fr/ (I live in France, therefore the .fr) OR it says Error 404 File not Found with the Google logo. Also the google logo shows up beside lots of my bookmarks though they are not google websites.
The same thing happens when opening in Safe Mode, and after installing the Adobe Flash 10.1 plugin.
I've used Firefox for years and never had a problem.

HT1430 i have recovered, reset and restored and i only get the screens that page through with all of the different languages of HELLO. is there another fix?

i have tried everything recommended. (RESET, RECOVER and RESTORE), i still cannot get the IPAD to activate.

How to secure word docs, access only via username and password?

I have created a CMS (Content Management System) where
residents can access publicly made available word documents
uploaded via the web by authourised members of a residents
association. (no password needed)
password only needed to upload
I have also created a section for excecutive members only
where documents for coming meetings are kept, but are not yet
available to general residents. (password is needed to view these)
All works fine apart from the executive section, all the
documents seem to get 'spidered' no matter what is in the robot.txt
file.
this i know as i have been tracking visitors to it.
the pages are not yet live or in use as i want to be sure
that these 'not for public viewing' file are not viewed until they
are in the public folder.
each section will have their own folder, but google has
'spidered' all pages! it seems that google and other sites are not
taking notice of the robot.txt, i have read on some sites that this
is common. how they do this is beyond me, i though that you could
only spider a site that had a home page and that you follow all
links contained within this initial page.? seems that this is not
the case.
what other methods can i try out that will protect these
files.
(please do not reply with, do not put them on the site!) i
have had this with other forums in the past.

i have been busy looking around but not finding anything.
My PHP scripts at present accept the word docs and store them
in folders, lets say, www.site.com/secretfolder/...
One suggestion is to have them in a database, this is not
idea, but is going to be the last resort.
the idea i like most is to have the outside the root www
folder.
what i am not sure of is how i allow access to them if normal
access can not be used. i.e. www.site.com/myfolder/file.doc
one way that has been suggested is streaming but this
completely eludes me, i first thought streaming was for sound and
video, but that aside, please can someone provide some links to
sites that show some examples or more information on how i do this.
i do not need the file to be uploaded as i can change my
scripts to upload to the new folder that is outside the root www
folder, what i do not understand is how i get the file back from
this outside root folder to the user that is wanting to view it.
my way of thinking is to create a temp folder inside the www
folder but this means that the files will then be available to the
robots again and if i was to have the folder cleaned after the file
is taken what happens if the server or the persons pc was to crash
or something, then the script will not complete and the file will
still be available to view by the robots.
or is their another way
