Acrobat 11 extraction

I can't get acrobat 11 standard to extract and load

you should be downloading AcrobatStd_11_Web_WWMUI.exe which is a self-extracting file ~320mb.
recheck  your file.

  • When I extract pages from a PDF and go to "Save As", Acrobat completely crashes and disappears. Why?

I work for a remote desktop hosting company, and am having an issue with Adobe Acrobat that we have installed on one of our customer's terminal servers.
The OS running on the customer's TS is Windows 2008 R2 Standard. The customer is running Windows 8.1 on their local PC.
Basically, the customer will open up a PDF within Adobe Acrobat, extract a couple of pages, and go to "Save As" within the new window. At this point, the software will crash and close immediately.
Going through the same process on another Windows 8.1 PC, logged on as the same user onto the TS, the problem does not happen.
It seems that this problem only happens on the customer's PC. We have tried logging on as other users on to the TS from this PC and get the same crashing and closing problem.
Is there an obvious answer to this that I seem to be missing?
    Many thanks in advance!

    Hi
It shows just 4 always as an option in the "open with" lsit. Also I haven't downloaded any apps for a while so why would it start now?
Do you know how I can estabilsh how many apps are counting toward this 10 and what they are?

  • How do I insert a file into an existing portfolio?

I use a feature of Outlook 2010 to move an email message into an Adobe Portfolio. It all happens automatically once I tell Outlook to put it there. My issue is that I put one email msg into the wrong portfolio and want to move it to the proper portfolia. I was able to extract it from the improper portfolio but in so doing, it turned the email message into a pdf file. I do not know how to use Acrobat to add that pdf file to the proper portfolio. I tried combining the file with the portfolio but Acrobat extracted all of the emails from the portfolio as pdf files and then combined all files as a massive pdf file instead of adding it to the portfolio.
Can anyone tell me how to do this or what I might be doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Ken

Thanks Lori. That worked to move the file into the correct portfolio as well as to display it in the layout index. My only quibble is that it does not keep it in date order and I was not able to see how to add the email information ( "To", "From", "Subject" and "Date") to the metadata so it would show up in the index. At least I have it in the correct portfolia now, so thanks for that.

  • Create accessible pdf from html pages dynamically

    Hello,
I am trying to create a 508 compliant Pdf from a simple HTML page using the HTML to Pdf feature in Livecycle ES4 server. I was able to configure the service to generate tabbed Pdf, but the created Pdf has multiple accessibility issues.
Some of the issues encountered are:  incorrect tab order,  some links are not tabbable while others are,  link text is being read “Blank”,  some text is skipped while tabbing,  missing alt text for images,  page being rendered in the responsive(mobile) view,  etc.
I have tried both the available approaches, of 1) providing a URL to create the PDF, and 2) to send the html document as a zipped file, with same results.
Attached is a sample PDF generated from a simple HTML page I created for demo.
    My questions are:
Is it possible to generate 508 compliant (accessible) Pdf documents using Html to Pdf service from Pdf Generator? If yes, which settings might I be missing?
Is there any other service provided by Adobe Livecycle Server that can generate 508 compliant Pdf documents from a 508 compliant HTML page?
    Your help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Anup

I created a tool that does just that (only you will need to enter the page numbers as text, it does not work by selecting them):

  • Multiple lables Automatic Multiply and Repeat to 12 times in a A3

Hello there all, I've been running all over the net trying to find a solution to make my life a little easier without success so I was hoping that maybe somebody would have an idea of a better way to do this.
I make personalized Tea Labels for a client, 6 different labels per order.
I make these as separate pages in InDesign size 9 cm x 12 cm
Then I need to put each one into an A3 format repeated 12 times with cut lines and a unified background color and save and renamed as the label.
This is how I do it so far:
    -          Create the pages in InDesign
    -          Export to Acrobat
    -          Acrobat > Extract pages as separate files
    -          InDesign > Open an A3 Template with the PDF repeated as an image.
    -          Replace the Image
    -          Save rename and export to PDF
Any help or ideas are really appreciated
    Thanks
    Tiola

But you don't NEED to export at all.
Make up your 6-page file of one-up labels sized correctly.
Create a new large sheet file, also 6 pages, and add the trim marks and background color (if it's the same for all labels) to the master page, then add ONE frame in the upper left position on the master to hold one label image. Move to page 1.
File > Place.... and navigate to your one-up file. Show import options and pick all pages when you click OK. Hover the loaded cursor in the master frame area and click once to load the first label, then move to each successive page and repeat until you have one label on each page.
On each page, select the frame with the placed label and use Step and Repeat to make your grid.
    Done.

  • How to create NEW Pdf from SELECTED pages?! thought this would be so easy!

I am finding it hard to believe how much time I've sunk into trying to figure this out. I thought it would be as simple as me selecting different pages, right clicking, and then finding "new document from selection," or something like that.
I have a PDF with about 300 pages. I have a list of page numbers that I need in a NEW PDF. What is the easiest way to do this? Thanks so much.

  • Can I use Visual Basic to covert form user data from multiple .pdf files to a single .csv file?

Can I use Visual Basic to covert form user data from multiple .pdf files to a single .csv file?  If so, how?

You can automate Acrobat using IAC (InterApplication Communications), as documented in the Acrobat SDK. Your program could loop through a collection of PDFs, load them in Acrobat, extract the form data from each, and generate a CSV file that contains the data.
Acrobat can also do this with its "Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet" function, but this is a manual process.

  • Mail Merge from Microsoft Word 2010 to "Individual" PDF documents.

    Hi Adobe brothers and sisters,
I need help with this one.
I'm Mail Merging over 300 letters and each letter has seven pages. What I'm currently doing is mail merging from Excel to Word then printing it into a single PDF document. Once printed, I select each seven pages and then reprinting in PDF with the name its intended for? This is very time consuming and hoping there is an easier way.
Is there a way to save each individual PDF documents (each letter) and have them labeled by a specific name listed on the letter intended for (eg: surname) without going through this lengthy process.
    Regards,

I've developed a tool that will allow you to extract each group of 7 pages
into a single file with just a few clicks. See:
    http://try67.blogspot.com/2012/01/acrobat-extract-groups-of-pages.html
However, the file names of the generated files will be generic. If you want
to use some text from the pages themselves in the file names, that might be
possible, but would require a more complex script. Contact me personally to
    discuss it further.

  • PDF  size increase

When I edit an image in PS that I extracted from Acrobat, why does the meg size increase with each edit?

I tried that after posting this question and the size was back at the original size, 19mb. I had extracted an image from an ad, color corrected an area, chose Save in PS, closed the image and watched the pdf in Acrobat refresh itself with the edit. I then chose Save in Acrobat, extracted the image into PS again and did another edit. That's when I saw the mb size increase. I can only do one edit in PS and then I have to save it back into Acrobat. If I try to do several different color corrections in PS and choose Save, a dialogue box opens that asks me what I would like to name this temp pdf that saves into a Temp folder. When I was making an edit, saving in PS and then closing that image to save the pdf as the same name, the mb size increased each time until it was up to 334 mb !  I am using Acrobat 7 Pro and PS CS 5.
    Thanks for the reply.

  • Resizing PDF's

I have many large (8 to 200 Meg) file size pdf's made up of images I need to make website links to.  I can use them as is, but ended up buying Acrobat X Standard to help me make them smaller and more quickly accessible.  I used Acrobat X to extract (export) the images from the pdf into a folder, I used software I have to batch resize the images to a smaller size, then I used Acrobat X to combine the resized images into a (much smaller) Fast Web View pdf again.  When starting the combine process, I get an error stating "error (file skipped)" for all the converted images, so I don't get a combined pdf.  If I use some freeware I got to extract the images from the pdf, batch resize (same way I did for Acrobat extracted images), Acrobat X lets me combine those without the error.  Why can't I do all of this from Acrobat?
    Thank you for a response.

It might be possible to deal with it all within Acrobat, but a lot depends on your settings. One approach is to start with the PDF Optimze option in FILE>Save As. You can set the resolution of graphics and such. Another way, though not generally recommended is to simply print the PDF to a new PDF an select a different page size and set the resolution you desire in the job settings. You can change the page size in the printer properties and then print to fit page or expand to fit, etc.
To extract the images, that can be done from the tools or advanced menu (another one of those features they move around). It saves each image with the file name, page number, and image number on the page. You could then use PhotoShop to resize or a product like IrfanView (free), though I am not sure about the batch process.
For a really large job, the print process is probably the fastest, though not necessarily the cleanest.

  • Split and Rename Document with Bookmark?

    Hello,
I don't know if this is possible, but I figured this would be the place to find out. What we would like to do it split a multi page PDF document into single pages. The individual page PDF files would be renamed to it's respective bookmark in the multi page document. Each page has it's own bookmark in the multi page document so there wouldn't be any name conflicts.
Has anyone ever heard of this, or better yet, have a script to do this? I would imagine this would be a challenging script to write, if it's even possible. If anyone with Acrobat scripting know how could please help, I would greatly appreciate it. Any type of assistance with this would be awesome!
    Thank you in advance,
    Danny

  • What is the easiest way to extract data in acrobat 8 professional and retain formatting?

We have landers that are now sending us lists with multiple social security numbers in a single pdf with multiple pages, before they used to break it up into which departments they go to, so I installed acrobat 8 pro on the users machines, now we need to get certain lines of data within that document and make a single document for different departments out of that 1 document, i tried the crop tool and made a document from cropped image but it pastes it in the corner extremely small for some reason, and I dont see how you can extract that data and bring it into either word or make it a seperate pdf document, because it dosent keep any of the formatting????
    Please help
P.S. we at least need to be able to edit the original pdf and be able to remove the text out of it while retaining the formatting and then resave it so we can send throughout the company.

You might just try to do a save as DOC. The formatting may be lost, depending on how the PDF was made.

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro Extracting Issue

When the download manager was trying to extract the Adobe Acrobat X Pro files to my computer folder, the following message suddenly popped out:
A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write priveleges on the destination folder.
I restarted my computer just in case and tried to download the software again yet when it reached on the extracting part, the message again popped out. I have also checked my available space from my C drive and I still have enough, 1.27 TB to be exact.
I am the only user and the admin of this computer where I'm trying to download the software so it would be unlikely that I am restricted to the destination folder. Also, I have downloaded other softwares to the same destination folder and it went successful. It is just with the Adobe Acrobat X Pro dowload where I'm having this issue.
I would greatly appreciate for your prompt response with this matter. Thank you.

is your harddrive 1tb or larger?  if so, you'll need to partition that drive to use acrobat x on it.
    otherwise:
    uninstall acrobat X
    run the cleaner, http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
    restart your computer
if you're using windows, right click the installation file and click "run as administrator"
