Acrobat 7.0 error 1311, file needed

During install, error 1311 comes up.  Source file not found C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Setup Files\AcroPro\ENU\Data1.cab , then the process quits and I cannot install product.  Any suggestions how I can get this file?  Next step?

Windows Vista.  I did manage to get through that step, but ran into another error.  It appears this may be deeper than I first thought.

  • Error 1311: file not found ja142000.cab

i downloaded j2re1.4.2_01-b06 and i tried install but i have "error 1311.Source file not found:D:\windows\java\ja142000.cab.Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."
    What i do?
    Help me!
    Thank's

I get the same problem, but I figured a way around it. I think it is caused by the installer not knowing how to use a proxy server. Atleast in my situation.
    Remedy:
The install program I used was at. The address you used may be different and may not look like mine::
    http://java.sun.com/webapps/download/GetFile/1.4.2_04-b05/windows-i586/j2re1.4.2_04-b05.msi
Whenever it said there was a file missing I change the address above to access the file requested, i.e.
    http://java.sun.com/webapps/download/GetFile/1.4.2_04-b05/windows-i586/ja142000.cab
I saved the files into the location that it was looking for it.
I clicked retry and it asked for several more files:
    jb142000.cab
    jc142000.cab
    jz142040.cab
    jp142040.cab
Each time saving the file to the location it is looking for it in. The install then finally completed.

  • Ps CS5 - Runtime error - which files need to be deleted ? -  if thats the fix

So I just went thru all this with Adobe Premiere, and now I will have to go thru it with Ps5.   I am getting the run time error in my  Ps CS 5 version 12.0.4  x64 , running on a PC window 7.
The program crashes immediately upon opening. With premier I had to go in and delete a preferences file, and then it worked again (Thanks to A.T. Romano for the fix) but I lost any
projects that were in the works. Anyone know how to fix the photoshop problem? And is it likely I will be going thru this with my Lightroom 3 as well?
    Thanks

  • Error 1311....source file not found Adobe Acrobat 8.2.0

I have Vista. I keep getting installing boxes and error messages:
    Error 1311. Source file not found: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Setup Files\{AC76BA86-1033-0000-7760-000000000003}\Data 1.cab.
Verify file exists and that you can access it.
I cannot find that file in the set up, so it's obviously missing. I have tried uninstalling, but still get the error messages, even though the Reader is working on my PC...it's just so annoying as I am constantly cancelling installation and cancellation boxes. Can I install this file?
    Thanks!

"I tried to uninstall Adobe Creative Master Suite CS3. It hasn't  uninstalled completely and has left traces of it still being on my  system."
You could always "wipe the slate" clean.
Any and all Adobe folders would be manually deleted. (Shift+Delete to remove them from the hard drive, not send to the recycle bin)
Click Start and Run. Type regedit and hit enter.
Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE          delete all Adobe Folders (not just the keys, the whole folders - click once and hit Delete)
    Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE           do the same
Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon Change the value for the AllocateCDRoms entry to 0. (Right click and select Modify - type 0 and hit enter)
    Exit the Registry Editor.
    Reboot
You should not see this error anymore
Note: I only recommend this because you indicate that you have already attempted removing the entire creative suite. This will render it unfunctional if you do it. If you aren't comfortable with editing your registry, disregard these steps.

    hello folks,
I have Windows XP home Firefox v1.0.6.
removed old java in Add/Remove programs.
cleared the "Temporary Internet Files" folder that contained C:\Documents and Settings\Greg\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5.

here's the thing, I cannot surf to "Content.IE5" folder in my "Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" folder, but I can plug in the directory in the address bar of Windows Explorer & see the "Content.IE5" folder.
I do not see "je150000[1].cab" or "je150000[1].cab" in there.

  • I receive error 1311 when trying to install Acrobat 9 Standard

I am having a similar problem. I purchased Acrobat 9 standard online. installed on laptop and desktop. Worked fine for a year. Then I tried the 9 Pro trial on my desktop, and decided I didn't want or need it, I declined it. Ever since then, my Acrobat 9 standard does not load. I get error message 1311 - set up files not found, and Adobe support says they have none for this. Sent me to a forum. Can you help, Mr. Walter, sir? My laptop version still functions, but not the desktop version. I even tried the "repair" to no avail.

  • Error 1311 - missing Data1.cab file

I have researched this problem and still need help because I think my problem is different. First off, here's what happened...
I purchased and legally own CS4 Master Collection. I had it installed on my desktop. I ended up uninstalling Adobe Acrobat 9 pro. A week after doing that I had to do a system restore to a restore point BEFORE I uninstalled it. So the program obviously showed up again but with the error. Because of the error I uninstalled CS4 completely, thinking I could reinstall it again. Well when I went to reinstall, it already said that Adobe Acrobat 9 was installed already so I wasn't able to select it again to reinstall. All of the other programs installed just fine. And then when I go to try repair Acrobat 9, it doesn't even show as being installed with the other CS4 collection. And when I double click to open it, it does open and when I go to repair it, it will open up an installation box saying it's going to install and then gives that error 1311 saying the Data1.cab file is missing. And it is missing.
So my question is, how do I uninstall it when there's no option to uninstall it. Or how do I get the needed Data1.cab back in place to see if it will indeed install properly?

Sorry about that, my desktop is running Windows Vista home edition.
I can uninstall every program through the add & remove programs feature except for Adobe Acrobat 9.0 pro. It doesn't show up as even being installed. Same with when I uninstalled and reinstalled it. It didn't give me the option to select it for installation.
Ok, I'm just uninstalling the programs again and will run the cleaner tool. Fingers crossed that it removes it!

    Thank you for the replies.
Jeff, I will check that link and try what is suggests.
    Bill, to answer your questions...
    1. This is a CC installation.
    2. Yes, I am logged in as the admin and I have no anti-virus other than Microsoft Essentials enabled.
    3. This is a download installation.
To give even more info that might help, I am using a Windows 7 machine with more than enough capability to run CC.  I had installed Photoshop, Illustrator, among other apps successfully.  I then tried the Acrobat XI installation.  Acrobat XI downloaded and extracted, but when it started installing it froze around 50% and then I received the installation failed error from Windows.  Once that was confirmed the CC install progress finishes but shows failure.  The More Info reveals the error I pasted in above.  Afterward, none of the CC apps worked properly and had to be uninstalled.  So, next I installed the CC downloader and tried to start installing Acrobat XI first but the same error occurred.  That's when I got frustrated and posted my original message.  My limited knowledge leads me to think the error issue lies in the AcroPro.msi file but I have no idea what that is or how to find, correct, or install it.
Thanks again for any help you can provide.  I'm really frustrated that I'm paying for something that I can't use.
