Acrobat 7.0 printer

Hello,
I have a few useres with Acrobat 7.0. If they change the settings in the Adobe PDF printer under "extended options" - Papersize - Userdefined - Papersize High: 200 Scale: 290 and press ok, the changes are not saved. I have set the security rights for the users on this printer to document and printer settings to full rights! But the changes will not be saved!
Does anyone know the behaviour? Are there special rights needed?
Thanks!

They have to be saved in the printer properties (START>PRINTER>select Adobe PDF and right click to get properties). Changing in an application is only valid for that run of that application.
Other than that, I would need to understand your comment. You say for AA7 "'extended options' - Papersize - Userdefined - Papersize High: 200 Scale: 290". I can't find these anywhere in the printer properties, though I can go to the custom paper size and have an option there. Where is this "extended options" and such in the printer properties. What tabs and such. I found it under Layout>Advanced>Paper/Output>Paper Size>Postscript Custom Paper Size. With inches, the maximum size is 200. Thus it may be an issue with the choice of 280. Since you mentioned AA7, I can only guess that I should be seeing the same thing. It is hard to follow when the names of menus are not exact (though I have probably been guilty of that myself).

  • Some of the times when I print a document from the internet using my Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro printer, the letters appear in the PDF as symbols, How do I correct the problem?

On many documents that I try and print from the internet such as receipts, conformations, etc, using my Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional printer, the PDF shows some if not all the letters as symbols.  I think it might be font issue, but do not know how to fix the problem.  Any suggestions.
On another issue, can a Tiff file of my signature be inserted in a PDF?

    Hello,
For 1st issue please follow the steps in given article:
Missing or Garbled Text Printing from IE9 to Adobe PDF Printer
    For 2nd issue:
You can create a signature appearance:
For example, you can include your scanned signature.
1  (Optional) Save the desired image on a page by itself, and convert the page to PDF.
2  Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Acrobat (Mac OS) > Preferences, and select Security.
3  Click New, and type a title.
4  (Optional) Select Imported Graphic, click File, and select the desired file.
    5  Specify options as desired.

  • Can't print from Acrobat std, can print from Reader

    Hi,
One of my clients has a couple of Acrobat Standard 9 licenses (updated to 9.4.2). 1 of those computers has trouble printing to a certain printer with all pdf files, in fact, Acrobat doesn't print at all. Tried different printerdrivers, different settings, print as image,... nothing works.
Finally installed a Reader 9.2.1 (only 9 version I still have), and for some reason that one does print the exact same files that the Standard version won't.
    Tried repairing, doesn't work either.
Anyone got any ideas what might be causing this issue and what might solve it?
    Thanks in advance.

"IF" You are using, OSX.4.11 Try locating , downloading, installing AppleJack (there currently isn't a version for Leopard or Snow Leopard). The to Run Restart holding down the Command-S keys. This put you in Single User Mode (Raw UNIX).
when a screen full of print scrolls through and your left with a Blink Cursor, Type applejack.
simply follow directions. go by the numbers follow them in order they are given.
Now items 3&4 you have to do once for your system, and once for each User Account (name you gave computer when setting up example you gave name as John Smith name for user account would be johnsmith).
Once completed (1-5)  hit return then choose Reboot or Shutdown.
In your case choose r and then hit return.
when it restarts wait, a whole bunch of cache files were dumped. You may even see the "dreaded "Blue screen for a little bit, and bits and piece of the desktop will appear until completely rebuilt.
    After rebuilt Try printing.
If that doesn't work. Report back and maybe someone else can come up with an idea.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended | Print Option | Enable Flash Object Issue

    Hi,
We are facing some problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended Print Option.
We had a requirement to embed interactive Flash graphs in the PDF file, user will interact with these graphs and whatever graph he plotted, the data for it will be saved in PDF text field, so that on the next launch we can fetch the data to the flash from PDF text fields, so that user can see what changes he did last time. This works great, we are able to successfully comminicate from PDF to flash and then from Flash to PDF.
Please note that, PDF can have multiple graphs on different pages.
The issue we are facing is when we interact with the graphs and then try to print the PDF, in that case only the currently active graph or flash file (The page on which user is currently on) will be seen enabled in the print, the graphs on the other pages, which are not currently visible are seen in disabled state hence the data on it does not get printed.
We have also used the "RMA.activated = true;" command, still no success. Please refer to the screen shots below to understand the issue in more detail..
    Flash Embed Options:
In the Print Option, it looks disabled:
The required/desired output is as follows:
We want all Graphs to get printed in enabled state and with the data user had entered. Please do let me know, if there is any workaround to achive this functionality.

Which version. I think it is a minimum of AA9.2 that is needed for X64. Anyway, you should probably either open Acrobat and do the update (help menu) or download all of the updates from Adobe>downloads>updates and install them in order. The current version is AA9.3.4.

  • How can I use pdf pack to convert cubase documents  (music scores)  into pdfs? I am looking for the former possibility to install acrobat like a printer but i don't have this option with "pdf pack". Can you help?

How can I use pdf pack to convert cubase documents  (music scores)  into pdfs? I am looking for the former possibility to install acrobat like a printer but i don't have this option with "pdf pack". Can you help?

    Hi mariab,
What format are those music scores (I'm not familiar with cubase documents). But, it may be that Adobe PDF Pack doesn't support that format. In that case, Acrobat is the way to go. You can then print your files to PDF as you'd like. You're welcome to try Acrobat for free for 30 days to see whether it's going to work for you. If you decide it is, and you'd like to use it going forward, you could convert your PDF Pack subscription into an Acrobat subscription.

  • Acrobat, reader, color, printing

    Hi.
    Using Acrobat 5.0, Reader 8.0, ID CS2, PS 7.0
I created a .psd file & put it into ID . IT is 300ppi CMYK. I have the same color settings in AI, ID & PS with a color settings file I saved as my own.
I made a .ps file from ID. Then I Distilled it of course & opened the .pdf file in Acrobat. It printed fine, then I opened it in Reader. The color was different in Reader...not sure why. Should I be worried?? Usually its the other way around! Help!

    Hi.
    Using Acrobat 5.0, Reader 8.0
I received a .pdf through email, a proof from a printer. I printed it from Reader which looks blue, but teal on screen.
I print from Acrobat & it looks teal printed but has a bright teal color on screen.
I am happy with how it prints from Acrobat. I am happy how it looks on screen in Reader.
This doesn't happen just with proofs from printers. It also happens with .pdfs I create in-house.
What is the deal? My color prefs should be the same all around Adobe, but I heard once it may be a printer driver thing. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
    Thanks.

  • Photoshop/Acrobat will not print black- ?

    Hi,
I'm working on a Macbook with Leopard, using CS3. I recently started using a HP Officejet Pro K8600 printer (inkjet, CMYK cartridges). My problem is that when printing out of Photoshop and Acrobat, any black items are outputting as gray- I'm assuming that the printer is creating a composite black out of the color inks instead of using the black ink cartridge. This is not a problem when printing out of Illustrator (blacks look great). Any ideas?
I have tried running Photoshop in Rosetta mode, deleting the Preferences file, and several different print and Photoshop dialogue settings. Photoshop, Acrobat and the printer driver are all updated. I'm running out of options and Adobe technical support had no solution either. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

    Lundberg02- Please explain.

  • Print Button issue... Acrobat won't print

We have one particular machine here at work where Acrobat will not print. You can bring up the Print dialogue box and change all the print settings, but when it comes time to actually print the document, it's like the "Print" button does not work. It is highlighted, but just does not depress. Hitting Enter does not work either. We've tried installing different versions of Acrobat and Acrobat Reader, and the same thing happens, yet other Adobe applications print without issue. OS is Tiger. We've tried Acrobat 6, 7, and Reader 8 & 9.
Is there a preference I could kill which might reset this?

Just saw your post. I've been having similar problems. I've reinstalled the printer, reset the printing system, and still had problems. However, it SEEMS as if I've had some success when I do a "page setup" in Acrobat before going to the print command. Let me know if this helps you.

  • Acrobat XI is prints too dark!

Acrobat XI is printing too dark to our machines.  Acrobat 7 prints just fine, same file, same machine.
Anyone else having this issue?  It's VERY frustrating and short of adjusting EVERY photo in EVERY
file we cannot figure out what the issue is.  We are using Windows XP & Windows 7, same result in both.

Have you compared the colour management settings in Acrobat's print dialogs (Advanced)?

  • Acrobat 8 STD printing problem

Acrobat 8 STD prints all pages in landscape when "choose paper source by PDF page size" with the bizhub 450c this does not occur with acrobat 6 STD. is there a fix for this or a setting that I am missing somewhere?

This only seems to be happening with 8.5" x 11" pages. When I print a multiple page size document with this setting the 11" x 17" pages print fine both portrait and landscape. It also seems to work fine when I print to a Savin printer, but I have the problem when I print to a Fiery. I'm not sure if there needs to be a fix with Adobe Acrobat or the Fiery Print Driver.

  • Acrobat X pdf printer crashed by Acrobat XI

I accidentally installed Acrobat XI 30 days trail on my computer, but after I uninstall it, my existing Acrobat X pdf printer doesn't work,  that Adobe Acrobat X pdf printer still use acrobat XI's path......
    how can I fix it????

Run Acrobat 10 and under the Help menu items, select Repair Acrobat Installation. If that doesn't fix the problem, you will likely need to full uninstall Acroabat 10, reboot (this is important), and then fully reinstall Acrobat 10.

  • I'm trying to print from Acrobat to my printer, but I can't make changes to the document size or anything!

I'm trying to print a set of plans onto 11x17 paper but I can't find anywhere to make formatting changes.  Can anyone help?

    Hi Paul,
What version of Acrobat and you using, and are you on Mac OS or Windows?
What do you see in the Print dialog box? If you select Size under Page Size & Handling, the PDF should print at the same size as the page size in Acrobat (if your printer supports that page size).
You can also click Printer at the bottom of the Print dialog box to override Acrobat's print settings, and use the settings specific to your printer driver.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Acrobat won't print to installed printer, only to adobe pdf file

This is a sudden problem, started about a week ago.  When I open or download a pdf file - any file - and try to print, the print box reads "adobe pdf."  No matter which installed printer I try to print to, the entry flashes back to adobe pdf.  This happens in Acrobat 7.  I downloaded the newest version of Reader, and it does the same thing.  No, the print to file box is not checked.  These files can be opened and printed from any other computer in the office, so it's not the files.  Using Windows 7 and the printer is HPx476dn.  Help?

    Hi Maureen,
Can you please elaborate your issue?
Do you want to set a different printer as default printer?
If yes, then please follow the steps in this KB doc. Change the system default printer
