Acrobat 7 Pro Installation Failure

When trying to install Acrobat 7 Professional I get a message saying the installation failed. In the console, I get the following error:
Adobe SelfHealing Error: shEPICPersWriteFailed in line 5005 of file SelfHealer.cpp.
Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried everything I can think of.

Try doing a complet uninstall of Acrobat 7. Then do a find file to locate each and every piece of Acrobat there is on the computer such as in the Applications support and preferences . everything keep removing files untill you have nothing remotely associate with acrobat.
Then reinstall and re update.

I always have had problem with Acrobat installation.
Last time it make me completely reinstalled Windows before I can successfully installed Acrobat. However, recently my Win 8.1 pro has had problem so I decided to reinstall Windows from scratch. Again, I encountered Acrobat installation failure.

Infact, the Creative Suite is the very few first applications I installed after Windows set up.
Any clues on why this happens. I'm tired of reinstalling Windows again and again. But Acrobat is important for me.

  • Trouble with Adobe Acrobat Pro installation from Creative Cloud

When I attempt to install Adobe Acrobat Pro from Creative Cloud, it will always fail on the first attemp. If I retry, it installs it. Then, when I open a pdf document, the application quits in seconds. I get a modal window with the license agreement. However, it is blank and the pull downs are empty. I hit a dead end.
This is so aggravating; especially when Adobe is charging me for my membership every month.
What gives? Can someone help with this?
    Brian

Brian which operating system are you using?  Do you receive any specific errors during the installation process?  If you are using a Windows operating system then please uninstall Acrobat using the Programs and Features control panel.  Once done then please try using the Acrobat Cleaner Tool available at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.
Also you mentioned that the EULA window is blank you may also want to see Blank EULA screen appears on Acrobat XI launch - http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/blank-eula-screen-appears-acrobat.html.  Solution 2 is not likely to be relevant unless you are using an operating system not currently supported by the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • Acrobat X Installation failures

Hi guys, Please bare with me, i'm having a number of installation issues on one of my computers (but not the other)
I am installing the entire CS6 suite, which has gone well, except for Acrobat X
    System Specs
    Windows 7 Professional 64bit
    16Gb Ram
    128Mb SSD
    Intel i7 2600
    The full Story:
I was installing the suite, the computer crashed and froze while installing the CS6 suite i belive it froze on Acrobat
I rebooted it and installed again.  Everything went well except for Acrobat X which gave errors similar to the one below
I rebooted into Safe mode and tried installing Acrobat X only, through there.  BSOD!
I have followed the recommendations for Error 1310 to the letter and have checked and changed permissions,  I've watched the Config.msi folder during installation and it is certainly not the problem (Files are created, written to, and removed during the failed install exactly how they would eb expected)
I have even had an Adobe employee log in and try to install the Trail version of Acrobat X etc....
I have tried installing it from CS5.5 Installation files in case it was a corrupt file....  All three installers have failed.
I can't think of anything else to do.
Should i install Acrobat Pro 9 from CS5? and then try installing Acrobat X again?  Should i reinstall windows?

  • Help, my Adobe Acrobat Pro installation stops!

I have created a package with "Creative cloud packager" with Adobe Acrobat Pro inside.
Once I download it and run the installation, after some minutes the progress bar stops and go back to the beginning, and nothing is installed.
Do you know what can be failing?
    Thanks!

    Hey Amit,
Are you facing any specific error message with this installation?
Try downloading the installer package from this link ( Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X ) and then try installing the software.
    Hope that helps you!!

  • AE 7 Pro Installation Failure

In attempting to port AE 7 Pro to new (replacement) system, the installation fails with a Microsoft C++ runtime error, right after selecting English as the language.
Computer is new Dell Precision, running WinXP SP2.
    Any thoughts, suggestions?

    Thanks for the quick reply.
When I installed AE 7 on my old machine some three years ago, I recall needing .NET Framework 2, so I made sure to put it on this machine. No change in the installation failure.
Other applications in the Adobe family and others came back just fine: Photoshop and Illustrator CS, Audition 3, etc. So I'm guessing it's likely not an inability to read and write in the drive system. Display adapter is NVIDIA Quadro FX 570 -- seemingly working correctly, as far as basic business and still apps go.
But now that you mention it, this new machine has a Quad Core CPU. Maybe AE 7 doesn't understand that?
Time to push the budget a bit, a move up the scheduled upgrade to CS3, perhaps?

  • Acrobat Pro "installs" but is nowhere to be found

I have had lots of trouble installing Acrobat Pro through Creative Cloud. I click the install button and the percentage goes all the way through to 100%. Creative Cloud indicates that it's "Up to date" but it's not in Applications folder and can't be launched using Alfred - it's simply not there. I have tried various things including the Cleaner tool. I have tried installing again but get the same result. What do I need to do to get it installed? I have tried downloading the trial installer but for some reason the Download Manager doesn't launch. I am contemplating wiping all the Adobe stuff off my system and starting again. Any advice?
    I'm running OSX 10.8.5.

    Hi jrmyprtr,
Could you please create a new Admin Account and try installing Acrobat XI pro through Creative Cloud Desktop app.
Please let us know if it helps.

  • Acrobat Pro X Failure to start

I regularly find that Acrobat Pro X fails to start when I double click an acrobat file or double click the program itself.  The fix for this problem is to download and run Acrofix.exe.  But it appears that this fix is of a temporary nature as about every month I have to run that fix again.
Is there a permanent fix for this problem?

I'd like to second that this is still a problem. Just popped up for me today. Last time I saw it was several months ago.

What is Error 213:19 and how do I fix it?  I receive the message after an apparently successful download of my subscription to Acrobat Pro tonight and after I sign on to Adobe.com.  The verbiage refers to "there was a problem licensing the product.  Please restart your computer and relaunch the product."  I have done this several times and still the same message.  Chat support is closed.

  • Acrobat Pro Installation on Mac

I have Yosemite 10.10.2. I am having trouble downloading the Acrobat Pro XI.
I downloaded Indesign and Photoshop with no problem
When it starts to download for acrobat it pauses at 42% a window pops up and says to close SafariNotifici and retry. I have closed all my windows and Safari is not running and I can't get Acrobat to install. It basically stalls at 42%. I tried restarting and make sure to close all programs but, I get the same thing. Does anyone have a solution.
I am new to Mac computers so if anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi evilomens7,
Could you please provide a screenshot so that i can look into this issue. Moreover I would recommend you to open Activity Monitor on your Mac and close any instances of Safari that might be open and then try again.

  • Problem installing Acrobat pro - installs with Slovak as language

    Hello,
I have tried this twice with the same result:
I downloaded the Adobe Download Assistant and used it to download Acrobat XI Pro. When I finished downloading the Acrobat installation file, I started it and it popped up in Slovak as the language.  I selected English instead from the pull-down language menu on the first installation screen, but nothing changed, and if I continued the installation, it was in Slovak.  I tried changing the language once the program was fully installed and it was partially successful - when I opened the program it was in English, but pop up windows keep coming up (I think asking me to register or submit a serial number) and they are still in Slovak.  I used an online translator to get even that far!  I am running Windows 7.  Let me know if any other information would be useful.
    Thanks.

I have had the same problem today 3/25/2014. Any insight on what I can do to correct the issue?

Okay, so I've looked at posts with similar issues and error codes and they all seem to point in somewhat different directions and tend to relate to earlier product and OS versions but then I decided to look for the installation files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat and found the Acrobat.exe file. It successfully launched the application, which appears to have installed properly (still testing that theory). The launch icons appear on the Win8 Start menu and the Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features indicates the program has been installed. Apparently, the only issue remaining is that the CC App Manager shows the install as failed. Something failed, not sure what but it may have been the final hand-off of the process to CC App Manager. But I'm just guessing.

  • Acrobat Update Installation Failure, Error 1310

I can't complete installation of my latest Adober Acrobat Update (10.1.1). It starts installing, then rolls back and terminates, Error 1310, telling me that I don't have access to a certain directory. What's up with that?

I've been trying to get Premiere pro Trial version to install without success. The Update process fails every time. MacBook Pro, Yosemite. Any ideas out there?

Shown below is the log summary. I tired the “log out then log back in” process, no effect. Did the “restart the computer in frustration” process, which worked. Now using the trial, but it DID require a restart.
    Thanks for the response.
