Acrobat  8.1.2 Error Message

When opening a pdf that has been inserted into an e-mail message, Acrobat opens for a few seconds and then a message appears stating "Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 Professional cannot be launched at this time. You must launch at least one other suite component (such as Adobe Photoshop) before launching Acrobat 8.1.2 Professional." The program shuts down after clicking OK.
If Acrobat is opened prior to opening an e-mail insertion, there is no problem.
I am using CS3. Is there a fix for this?

I've read about this problem And it posted almost once or twice a day 365 days a Year.
In all the times I've never heard anyone explain what it was. Just what the result is. and possible way to fix or get around it.
Maybe this from Wikipedia may or may not help:

    Hi skydivingsnowman,
I'm sorry you're having such trouble using the ExportPDF service. What browser are you using?
Please try clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser (here's a list of supported browsers:   http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/.
Please let me know if that works.
    Best,

  • Acrobat Suite Product Activation Error Message

I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 and updated Acrobat Pro to 9.5.1. All of the sudden (not anywhere near the time that I updated) I started getting the "Acrobat Suite Product Activation Error Message". Then it closes and quits.
Launching Photoshop (or having it open) does nothing. The other similar forum discussions seem to concern Lion, which I don't have yet. Solutions?

The Acrobat X Suite has Acrobat X not Acrobat 9 Pro.  So it begs the question do you have Acrobat 9 Pro Extended?

  • AcroMissingCompWClass Acrobat.exe Bad Image error message

Hi, I have a Windows 7 PC and InDesign, IIustrator CS4. When I try to print I get AcroMissingCompWClass Acrobat.exe Bad Image error message. Has anyone come across this?

My Acrobat 9 Pro freezes constantly. Seeing a pdf inside mutiple browser is not possible. Most of the time Acrobat 9 Pro and Acrobat Reader X starts within 5 min! As soon as I do anything, the top bar that shows "File", "Edit" etc. dissapears and averything freezes! Security software with possible firewalls I've uninstalled. Un- and re-installing Acrobat doesn't change anything. I'm using MS Windows XP, running Adobe CS4. Making any pdf's is no problem. I just can't see them. I can open a pdf inside Illustrator but that goes page by page. Any help?

  • Acrobat 9 gives an error message when I try to open it.

I've been using Acrobat 9 Standard on my Windows 7 laptop for 2-3 months without a problem, but now when I open Acrobat 9, it gives me an error message "Licensing for this product has stopped working" and shuts down.  It happens when I try to open a .pdf file or just open Acrobat 9 without a file.   I don't see anywhere on the Adobe website to get an answer, so I wonder if other users have an idea?  Thanks.

I see that Adobe has my order listed for Acrobat 9 on it's website, but I'm not sure how else to check the registration?  I use the same program on my desktop without any trouble.  How do you recommend that I check the registration?

  • Adobe Acrobat DC Installation Failed Error Message

I can't load/install past 43% when I get this error message.  I've uninstalled Acrobat XI Pro and rebooted and still get this error message. I've tried loading over several days and still get the error. Any ideas?

Please try to install Acrobat from: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X and let us know if you still have issues installing Acrobat.

  • Acrobat 7.0 Pro error message in Vista Ultimate..missing printer driver

I use to have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional installed on my other computer with had XP Pro as its operating system. I could convert any Word 2003 document into a PDF and e-mail it without any problems. I just purchased a new computer with Vista Ultimate 64 bit and every time I try to convert a Word document into a PDF I get an error message that says it can't find the printer driver and to please re-install Acrobat. I did what it said and I keep getting the same error message. I even installed the newest Adobe Reader like it said. I know my printer driver works. Does anyone have a solution? It seems all the money you spend on Adobe products their support staff just wants to wash their hands and send you on some wild goose chase looking for answers on their un-user friendly site instead of answering the question or making any recommendations. If I have to update it so be it. They should have told me that. This is the last time I will fork over $600 on any of their products because their service stinks. I appreciate any help from anyone who has experienced this same problem or who knows how to rectify it. God Bless, Tony

Hi Michael, Thank you so much for the reply. You would think Adobe Support could have told me that so I really appreciate it. Do you know what I need to do to upgrade it ? Can I find an upgrade on E-Bay or do I need to go to COMP USA or some other place to buy the upgrade? Last, what exactly am I looking for to upgrade it to the newest version. (Name of product). I will also remove the other program so it won't have any other issues once I get the upgrade. Thanks again and God Bless, Tony

  • Can't install Acrobat X Pro. Error message says I already have a more functional product installed.

I'm trying to install Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I continue to receive error messages saying I already have a more functional product installed. I have FM 12 and Adobe Reader XI.

    Hi Beth,
You should not receive this message if you dont have Acrobat 11 installed.
Try removing Reader 11 and check.

  • "Acrobat.exe- Bad Image" error message, Can't open anything with Acrobat

    I have Acrobat Pro 9.0
    OS Windows 7
Just started having this error problem show up within the past couple weeks.
Every time I try to open a document the browser freezes up for a few minutes (and I've tried on two different browsers), wont load the page, then I get this message:
    Acrobat.exe - Bad Image
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\ Acrobat\BIB.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.
I have had this program for several months and never had an issue.
Haven't changed anything I can think of...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
I also tried just opening the program directly and got the same message.

What version do you have today?

  • Acrobat XI Pro Run Error Message

Running OS X 10.9.3 and uninstalled Acrobat 8, repaired permissions, uninstall/reinstalled XI, but still get this message below. Any ideas?
Crashed Thread:  0  Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
    Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
    Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000

    Hi pkadams67,
SIGBUS errors are generally related to hardware read and write/ quite typically to do with (program) telling the processor to do something impossible, and also shows up in RAM errors.
    1.  Have you restarted your Mac lately?
    2.  Does this ONLY happen with Acrobat?
    3.  Have you tried installing in the root user account
    4.  Are you running Sophos Antivirus?

  • I am trying to save a file in Acrobat and get an error message...

I am trying to save my Turbotax file in pdf form but every time I try, I get the following message: " An error occurred in the processing of your tax return in PDF format.  Error: 4"  Does anyone have any idea what is going on?  I downloaded the most current form of Acrobat today.  Thank you-Gail

schipperkefarms wrote:An error occurred in the processing of your tax return in PDF format.  Error: 4"
That doesn't sound like an Acrobat error at all.

But are you using Acrobat to create the PDF (and are you sure it isn't Reader that you downloaded?)
If you are literally using the "save" function from Turbotax, chances are it isn't using Acrobat at all but it's own PDF generator. You would want to talk to the Turbotax folks.
If this is not the case, maybe you can give us some more specifics on exactly what steps you are taking to create the PDF.

  • Trying to install Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, get error message that a later version is already installed

Installing Acrobat Pro on a new laptop.  At download point get message " Setup has detected that you already have a higher version product installed. Setup will now terminate."  Acrobat Pro is NOT already installed, in any version.  What is issue?

uninstall any acrobat and reader versions already installed.
if you're using windows, clean Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
    then reinstall.
