Acrobat 8.1.2 right-click web page, convert to pdf error

I can't convert web pages to pdf using IE 7 and Adobe 8.1.2.
Vista, IE 7, Adobe CS3, Acrobat 8.1.2 gives the following error converting any web page:
"Acrobat had an error converting to pdf."
Help?

[Html to PDF problem / IE 7 and Acrobat 8x convert webpage to pdf]
What is the deal? does anyone from tech support know about this issue?
Not only that, i also have the CS3 Web Premium package and when i go to unistall components--Acrobat doesn't even show up. Not in Programs/Features for unistall under Vista--what gives?
i also run Revo Uninstaller and it doesn't see it either. i found on NemesisV Blog a 3-4pg manual unistall that takes me deep into the registry, i can't believe it--i'm so pissed.

  • Web Page throwing a 500 error

I have a Coldfusion server (IIS7) with three websites on it. One of them is throwing a 500 error. If I put up a regular html page it loads fine, but .cfm pages do not. I'm not sure why. Can anyone help?

    Hi Dave,
When I originally set up the server there was just one site on it for which I ran the Web Server Configuration tool. I run it each time I add a site even though ALL is listed when I launch it.
I finally opened a ticket with Adobe and they ran the Web Server Configuration tool which did not solve the issue either. They are not sure what the problem is, either.

Well, yes, you'll probably need to run the Web Server Configuration Tool. When that was initially run, did you connect the three web sites individually to CF? Or did you connect "all" web sites to CF all at once? If you did the former, it should be pretty easy to delete and recreate the connection for just that one site to CF. If you did the latter, the functioning site will not work while you're reconnecting everything, and the possibility exists that you may break that one too, so I'd make sure you scheduled an outage around this work.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
    * Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
    * Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    * Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

  • Safari 4.0.3 hangs every time I try to print a web page to a pdf file.

Hi. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and whether or not they have found a fix for it. Every time I try to print a web page to a pdf file from Safari (v4.0.3 running under Snow Leopard 10.6.1), Safari hangs and I have to force quit the program. The pdf is saved successfully, but the browser hangs immediately after the file has been created.
The problem is very consistent - every time I try to print a web page to a pdf file, the browser hangs. Anyone else have the same problem? Thanks.

    Hi,
    Try Safari maintenance.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Mac OS: Web Browser Quits Unexpectedly or Stops Responding
Safari add-ons can cause performance issues or other situations
Also, try clearing the printers print queue.

  • Trying to print a web page results in Distiller Error

I'm trying to print the following web page to a PDF for a client
    http://unikavaev.com/price-list
however when I select "Adobe PDF" as the printer, and hit Print, it goes to save it, and isntead of creating the .pdf file, it just creates a log file with the following information:
    %%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
    X5A7A1893 not found, using Courier.
%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: xshow ]%%
    Stack:
    [100 117 75 0]
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
I've tried the variuos fixes I've seen in the forums, but none have worked. This did work previously on my old install, but just recently got a new build, so this is a fresh installation of Creative Cloud with Acrobat XI.

I just tried it using Firefox and Acrobat XI without any issues -- maybe the problem is related to the browser. Have you tried printing from a different one?

  • Can I convert a web page into a pdf document

With IE it is possible to convert a web page to a pdf document if you have full Adobe Acrobat. Can this be done with Firefox.

    Hi BogdanVladusel,
You cannot convert a webpage to pdf using Adobe PDF Pack. You need to use Adobe Acrobat for the purpose.

  • 20.0.1 Update: right-click on page shows ALL menu options, many (all?) don't work, no "view page source", no "open in new tab"

after update to 20.0.1 a few hours ago, right click shows ALL menu options, many (all?) don't work, like "view page source", "open in new tab" etc. etc.

I'm having the same issue on Firebug 1.11.3....The "more robust" right click menu does return when I disable the extension. Would you recommend downgrading Firebug to 1.11.2? Hate to have to turn off Firebug "except when I'm working" but either option seems to have both pros/cons.
This behavior happens on both PC and Mac (although the above information was tested on my PC - I'll have to check the Mac later and see if Firebug is doing the same thing there. I believe I have the most recent Firebug there, too)
The PC is on Firefox 20.0.1, Mac should be as well.
    Thanks

  • Acrobat File Not Found After Printing Web Page

    Here is my problem:
I am trying to print a web page from our intranet but once the process is complete, a log file opens saying:
"The system cannot find the file" and then it lists the file I just tried to create.
The page is basic HTML with a small amount of Javascript.  Disabling the Javascript had the same problem.
The page is about 30 pages long.  Only printing the first page had the same problem.
Printing to PDF on an external site had the same problem.
I tried the same process in Office and ran into the same problem.
Here is what I am doing:
I am opening the web page in the browser.  I go to File > Print.  I select "Adobe PDF" as my printer.  I do not make any edits to the settings.
    Here is my environment:
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard
    Windows XP SP3.
Tried it both in Firefox 3.6 & IE 7.
"Acrotray.exe" is running in the background.
    Acrobat is completely updated.
Is it a setting issue?  Possibly a software conflict issue?
    Thanks,
    -B

    Thanks for the reply!
Here are answers to your questions:
No, I cannot print to PDF from other applications.
I do have have the checkboxes to request filename and open in Acrobat selected.
I do not get an error from Distiller during the process of creating a PDF.  It isn't until it is completely done that the log file pops up that simply says, "The system cannot find the file" and lists the file location (i.e. c:\users and settings\desktop...).
Beyond that log file, it looks like everything is running fine.
Let me know if any other information that will help.

  • When I right-click a page and select 'copy' where does the copy go on my computer?

I'm just trying to copy the page but I don't know where it goes. I'm assuming that's what the copy function is for?

Copy means to copy something to the clipboard. If there's any selected text, for instance, that text will copied. Depending on where you click, you can copy images and links to the clipboard.
To copy a page to your disc drive, you use the Save Page As... function on the right click menu.
Note that you will not see the Save Page function on the right click menu if any text is selected (highlighted) on the page or if you right click on an image.

I was trying to allow a website on the NoScript menu, when I must have accidentally pressed something and the entire menu bar disappeared. While I was trying to correct this, I then managed to remove the NoScript option from the right-click menu. So now I cannot access my NoScript and I've tried re-installing it but nothing works. • Batch convert "web page complete" to pdf?

I have a folder that contains hundreds of saved web pages (receipts) that are saved as "web page complete", i.e. each page has a folder containing the images for that page.  I can convert one web page at a time, but was hoping there's a way to run a batch.  Combining the files isn't it.
    Thanks,

Windows Explorer, select files, right-click, select Convert to PDF.
It wasn't to bad.  Only have to do it once.
