Acrobat 8.1 Always Crashes with "admplugin.apl" reference??

I've tried everything, but Acrobat wants to close when I do any kind of manipulation -- "Optimizing" or adjusting "Document Propereties" and always indicates a problem with "admplugin.apl" file.
I've reinstalled Acrobat, but no help. Happens with every PDF file. I've found a half-dozen other messages about this, but no solutions. A "TechNote" said to exit "SpySweeper" but that didn't help.
If I call and pay Adobe technical support for help, you think any chance they could help? Thanks. Oh, I have "Creative Suite 3" Design Premium on Win XP.

I just did a fresh and clean installation of Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop (new partition, new format), and after I've installed 8.1.4 patch on Acrobat, it crashed, and kept crashing. I kept trying to update to see if Adobe had corrected this error, but to no avail. I just used your trick and it's working great!
You just saved me a headache by averting me on buying Acrobat 9! I hate doing upgrades (even on Windows, which is why I went retail instead of the upgrade)
I don't know if Adobe certified Acrobat 8.1.X for Windows 7, but far as I can tell it's working great. I even used the PDF distiller on a webpage to be saved in a PDF file, and that's working too.

Why does my flash player always crash with Firefox?

Flash player always crashes and slows my browsing. Firefox is updated and so is flash player yet never works.

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
*check for updates for your graphics drive drivers<br>https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC keeps crashing with "Not Responding" message

Hi there, I just started using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and it keeps crashing with a "not responding" message. It never used to happen with acrobat XI. Any ideas?
I'm using Windows 8.1 on an Acer with AMD A10-5700 APU 64bit OS...

Does this happen while accessing any PDF ' or when you launch Acrobat ?
You could try repairing Acrobat and see if that helps .
Is there any error number or exit code associated with the error message ?If yes ,please share the screen shot of the same.
You could also uninstall Acrobat using the Cleaner Tool .Here is the link to download Cleaner Tool .
Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
Once uninstalled you could try downloading it again .If it is a subscription ,you could refer the following link .

Capture nx2 always crashes with kernel panic

i use imac i7 with 8GB ram and 10.6.3, tho these problems occur with 10.6.2
I don't understand most of this stuff but when i run capture nz2 ver 2.2.4 i can edit a few steps and there is sudden crash without warning dialog, etc. I have tried nikon usa but they tell me that i am the only snow leopard user who has complained and offer no suggestions.
i have checked apple installed memory with tech tool pro and memtest and was ok.
I formatted an ext hdd, installed 10.6.2 , booted on this disk and then installed capture nx2 ver 2.2.4 no other software on disk. same results. crashes.
i went through "trouble shooting kernel panics" as best i could. still no relief.

Jeff forwarded your request to me for a refund for Capture NX 2 but I'm sorry we have to decline. I see that you purchased the software in 2008 and the problems have come up after you upgraded or moved computers. *Further, we're puzzled why this problem exists for you as we haven't had any other cases like this*. A full uninstall (using the NX uninstaller and cleaning the files from the Library/ and Preferences/ files generally fixes any issue as does installing on a new user account.
We've passed your system summary and error reports along to our QC group for review but in most cases, unless they need more information, we won't hear back from them.
I'm sorry you continue to have problems with the software.

Acrobat Pro 9.5 crashing with Multiple prints

I have Acrobat 9.5 pro on multiple machines in my office, when trying to print to ANY printer, even to another PDF, if I select more than 200ish pages (8 1/2x11-simple prints), it crashes Adobe Acrobat. This happens wether its a binder or a portfolio. Also when when printing from Acrobat, it really hogs down the systems.
Says no repair is needed, and I know my system is strong enough (these are built for High graphics CAD use)
Windows 7 Ultimate
Intel i7-2700k CPU @3.5GHz 3.90 GHz
16 GB ram
64bit OS
Any Suggestions or patches would be grateful. I would really like to be able to send my 400+ page PDF and walk away.

I have over 500Gigs Free space on my HD
I print to B&W, and Color and just back to the Adobe Driver (to create another PDF as a test-and still crashes if I attempt more than about 200 PDFs). I have tried it with 6 Different Printers, even at Economy printing. I always keep all my drivers (like software updates) to the latest and greatest. in fact, I checked to make sure they were all when I got the 1st crash.
If I select more than about 200, the entire program crashes, it doesn't even attempt to start printing.
Printer Spooling Not on.
Just printing simple B & W line drawings (at 8 1/2 X 11)

Always crash with my Final Cut Pro

Hi guys,
I have problem with my FCP, my FCP always close/crash while I'm edit my project. approx. it closed around 14 until 17 times a day. I using FCP 7.0.3 on snow leopard Mac OS X (10.6.6). I use Macpro machine with spec 2x2.4Ghz Intel Quadcore, Ram 6Gb. I already try many ways to fixing by formating an OS, re-install Final Cut Pro, change Harddrive for the system, added memory into 8Gb but still got this problem. I'm editing XDCAM EX-3 format with setting sequence XDCAM EX 1080 25P VBR 35Mb/s. my FCP project size 175Mb. Would you guys help me to solve this problem and give solution to fixing this?? would you inform me by email to. my email [email protected]

Start by dumping sequences that are not current. Get rid of everything that is not needed to move the project forward.
If you reduce the project file size, the reliability will increase.

Acrobat 9 Pro installer crashes with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) on Win XP SP3

Well the title says it all: Whenever I try to start the Installer and press "Next", it grinds for some seconds and then "encounters a problem and cannot continue" stating a DEP violation.
This happens with both the CD version of my box and the downloadble trial installer.
Any hints? CS5 Design Standard was installed and works fine. Only Acrobat does this.

Either way I get the same installer error twice then an itunes error that it could not install because it needs quicktime. (which I have).
okay ... 7.0.0.70 needs QT 7.1.3. the itunes/QT installer bundle has changed up significantly, in that the QT part of the install runs before the itunes part. (it used to come second.) so if there's a problem with a QT install, that might be causing the current issue with the overall itunes install.
so let's try a careful standalone QT 7.1.3 install, to see if that goes in properly.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
Quicktime 7.1 Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention itunes
if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.
if the install goes through okay, try another itunes 7.0.0.70 install. does it go through properly this time?

Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
If still a problem restore from your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Acrobat 11.0.06 crashes with text fields in forms

Hi All,
Trying to fill out a PDF form in Acrobat but it crashes whenever I click on the text fields. I also can not open my preferences panel without it crashing.
I tried installing the patch but that didn't help.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I downloaded another unrelated form just to check and it crashed also, so all forms are causing the same crash. It happens when I click on the text field.

Adobe Reader 8.1.2 (admplugin.apl) crash when opening PDF files

Hi,
I did spend some time today trying to get Adobe Reader 8.1.2 to run on a Citrix Access Essential 2.0 server.
Setup
Server OS:
Windows Server 2003 SP2 - fully patched.
Other software:
Office 2003 Standard, Danish, SP3
Symantec Antivirus 10.1
Adobe Reader 8.1.2, Danish
The installation is clean (1 week old).
Problem description:
When opening PDF files, Adobe Reader crashes before showing any content from the PDF file. The module crashing is admplugin.apl.
Work-arounds tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Reader 8.1.2 (DK).
Disabling Antivirus (service stopped)
Replacing admplugin.apl with admplugin.apl from Adobe Reader 8.0
Uninstalling DK version and installing US version.
Adding user to local Administrators to exclude any permission related problems.
Deleting Adobe folders from users profile Application Data\Adobe\... and Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\...
Turn DEP off
Solution:
Finally I gave up and installed 7.0.9 (Danish). It works as expected.
It seems that the problem is known and a few user has reported this. One Adobe KB article mentions the problem, and the solution is to disable some 3. party diagnostic/support tools provided by DSL providers. This is definitively not the issue in this installation.
Anybody from Adobe having any input to this problem?

I am having a similar issue with Ver 8.1.2 running over cirtix with a similar setup to Jans-Peter.
The difference is that Reader opens fine but when you try to edit preferences it crashes.
This only happens on an citrix session. If I run reader on the server directly it works OK.
However after reading above I can replicate the problem on the server by moving or deleting the ADMPlugin.apl file.
Any further ideas at all?

MY MSI 8836 Always crashes is it defective

I run Windows XP, lastest DEtonator Drivers, this has been the most stable platform yet, my buddy sold me this card his machine always crashed with it I thought it was him but min e does too, always blue screen XP

Does an error like this indicate it may be defective, I can still get it warranted through the retailer I am wondering if I should.

The card is a G2 Ti something, so start with drivers that match the card's antiquity, then move up. Begin with maybe ver 30.83 or even older. Do the same with the WDM drivers if the card has VIVO.

Ok, did some checking and other people who had this problem needed to install mysql. When I checked to see if I had, I realized I hadn't updated to MariaDB from the old mysql. So I tried, and it failed.
I tried the solutions listed in this post (and I bumped it, too), but none of them worked for me.

Acrobat XI crash with Referenced pages

unfortunately the latest version of Acrobat XI (and also previous Acrobat X version) could crash when opening a PDF file which have reference pages. For example a PDF/X-5g complaint PDF. The following conditions must be true:
Acrobat and Adobe Reader X and XI (tested up to 11.0.9) crash with nested Form XObjects if the innermost Form XObject contains a /Ref entry to reference an external page.
The crash does not happen if the /Ref is used in the outermost Form XObject.
The PDF contain more then 1 page.
Is there a way, to avoid the Acrobat Crash (except avoid nested FormXObjects?)
The sample PDF could be found here. In order to display the sample document it is important to properly configure Acrobat as follows:
Edit, Preferences, General..., Page Display, Show reference XObject targets: set to Always (the setting Only PDF-X/5 compliant ones doesn’t work due to a bug in Acrobat X/XI).
Edit, Preferences, General..., Page Display, Location of referenced files: enter the name of the directory where the target files live.
Edit, Preferences, General..., Security (Enhanced), Privileged Locations, Add Folder Path: add the name of the directory where the container documents live. This must be done regardless of the Enable Enhanced Security setting.
