Acrobat 8 landscape got cut off

good day everyone, i am puzzled by this weired question and couldn't find
similar post on the forum.
A user is using acrobat 8 to convert excel to pdf. The excel sheet is set to landscape and everything look fine under print preview. However, after user convert to pdf, the right side got cut off in the resulting pdf document. When I try the convertion on my workstation with acrobat 9, the page display correctly.
When I use File->print. select adobe pdf as printer and check print priew, the page still show as right side got cut off even though it was already set to landscape and legal size paper.
any thought on this? is there a setting i ned to change in acrobat 8 to make it work like acrobat 9 did regarding this type of convertion?

I had a similar problem on my desktop system running Office 2003 and Acrobat 9.4.6 under Windows XP. A spreadsheet was designed to print "landscape" on letter-size paper. Printing to paper on my HP Deskjet 5650, it printed fine. But when printing to Adobe PDF, only the leftmost 3/4 of the document would print; the rightmost 1/4 would be blank. The difference was apparent in Excel's "Print Preview" mode depending on which printer was selected. I was stumped until I discovered this thread. Then, to fix it, I followed these steps:
Opened my spreadsheet.
Invoked File/Print and chose the printer "Adobe PDF", but did not click "OK", instead I clicked "Properties".
On the dialog "Adobe PDF Document Properties" I clicked the tab "Paper/Quality" and on that tab I clicked the button "Advanced".
On the dialog "Adobe PDF Converter Advanced Options" under "Graphic" I changed Print Quality from 4000 dpi to 600 dpi.
I clicked OK repeatedly to close all the dialogs and confirm the print.
See the screen shot below (click on the thumbnail for a full-size view).
I wouldn't have thought that the Graphic Print Quality would make any difference on an all-text document, but apparently it does.

If you paid for CC-full-suite or CC-Photography-Plan then you should have a CC-licensed version of LR available, but only if you uninstall the serial-number-licensed LR you apparently have, now. At least try that, uninstall LR 5, log out of the CC app using Gear / Preferences / Account / Sign-Out, reboot, log back into the CC app, and see if LR is one of the items listed.

Close out of the mail app, then double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then check your email again.

When converting word doc to pdf with Acrobat words getting cut off?

As you can see from this example:
When converting from word document the words on the pages in the final PDF are getting cut off on the edge of the page?
I've adjusted the margins in page layout in MS Word to Normal, Moderate & Wide etc, etc
Never ever had this problem before...does anybody have any idea why or what I could do?

As a quick check, set the printer to the Adobe PDF printer in WORD and then check for the proper operation. Also be sure the paper dimensions and orientation of your document and the printer properties match up (I have had some problems with the orientation when I have auto-rotate on). You may have to play some to get something to work. I have done that before and settled on a process that works for me, but I can't claim it all makes perfect sense. To many things are going on in some sense.

Could someone please tell me how I fix Bridge, it is frozen, I have phoned for support, got cut off 3 times and they don't ring back !!! I tried to purge Cache, but it froze.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

IMessages to an iPhone occasionally appears with words cut off from end

When sending texts from iMessages to an iPhone, the text occasionally appears on their iPhone with a couple words cut off from the end. It appears fine in the iMessages display/history.   Here's a few things I've noticed:
- It's repeatable. For example, the following message always causes the issue: "man, why are you here? Two are in testing places". On the iPhone it appears as "man, why are you here? Two are in testing".
- It's a problem with iMessages. If I send the exact same text from the iPhone, it goes through just fine. The message has to originate from MacOS iMessages. (I'm using the latest Mountain Lion and all updates as of 12/21/12)
- The full message is actually being successfully transferred to the phone; it just does not display correctly. There are two pieces of evidence for this. If on the iPhone, the user copies the truncated message and pastes it somewhere else, the full message is pasted! Moreover, on the top level the messages app (where you see the last message from all the recent people you texted with), the full message displays.
- It can happen with both short and longer messages.   Here's another longer message I noticed got cut off: "That's funny that you though I was joking when I said I was debugging. Why is that so weird?"
- It has something to do with the length of the message or how it is being wrapped. I can create modifications of those texts with the same length, and they will cut off. (That said, some modifications will not cause the problem, so it's more than just length. Maybe it has something to do with how it wraps the words?) Usually adding a few words to the message will allow it to go through.
- It always cuts off at a space. In other words, it will not truncate something in the middle of a word.
- I have only seen it cut off one or two words before.
Apple really needs to make this a high priority fix. Unreliable messaging of this sort is a deal-breaker for iMessages, IMO. My guess is that they haven't had more reports for this because people simply don't notice unless the last word or two totally ruins the meaning of a text and the other person points it out.
Can people try to recreate this on their machines? If so, please do so and file a bug report (http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html). All you have to do is get on your iMessage app and text one of those two messages to your phone. If it appears truncated on your phone, you've confirmed it. You're welcome to use any of my post in any bug report.

I had seen these in Quicklook at the point where the Message appeared to show double spaces after a Full Stop or Question Mark.
You are right that it have not dawned on me that I had not seen them between words.
It was TextEdit as well (Not sure why I said QuickLook)

Part of this means the iMessages sent out.
The "repeat" is the sync back from the the ID the iPhone is using.
I am presuming the leading numbers are the iMessage identifier that iMessages uses to tell whether it has been Synced

Mouseover buttons cut off (Flash CS4)

I'm a brand-new Flash user, coming from a print design background, so my terminology might not be accurate. I placed a gif of a pie chart in Flash, and created mouseover popup boxes (buttons) for the four sections of the pie. Clicking on each box will bring up a different Web page in a new window.This works fine, until the Web editor places the Flash file on the page.
The problem is that the "stage" area is larger than the pie chart, creating lots of white space that causes awkward text wraps. When I reduced the stage area to a size just larger than the pie chart, the popup boxes got cut off. I've tried assigning "transparency" to the HTML in Flash, but it didn't solve the problem.
Is there a way to have the pie chart take up minimum space, but have the popup boxes appear in their entirety, temporarily covering the text beneath?

What you probably need to do is retain that transparency change you made and in addition to that create a div layer for placement of the Flash that has a z-order setting it over the page text where those wide open spaces would otherwise be.

Cut off from the world and spun a pack of lies - A...

Hi people I've signed up to this forum in pure desperation, maybe, just maybe there is somebody from BT listening who can be bothered to listen to my cries and put me out of my misery.
My partner and I decided to set up a BT phone and internet package shortly before we moved into a new property in October.
All was fine our phone and internet was activated on time and we were using it quite happily up until the dreadful day (November 25th) when it inexplicably got cut off...
Various phone calls ensued between ourselves and various chaps (at current count about 9) in BT's Indian call centres during which we were spin a whole range of lies. To give you a flavour:
- The exchange is being upgraded to give you faster internet,
- The phone line is down and being fixed tomorrow,
- Your account was never set up,
- You've never had an account with us,
- Are you a business???
Now, I’m not an angry man but all this deception did rather hack me off. But I was about to get angrier still.
Finally we got through to somebody from the order management team. A Scott if I recall, unfortunately I forget his last name, but he is based in Dundee. So Scott proceeds to tell me that our line was installed by openreach but the order was never closed out, if that happens something times out after 2 weeks and the line gets cut off. This is our situation. So, Scott tells me that he would expedite our reconnection within a week and would call us back in a couple of days.
A couple of days pass, no call, no phone, no internet... Five days pass, no call, no phone, no internet.
So finally I decide to call back. Learning my mistakes from last time I instantly bypass the Indian chaps and ask for the order management team. This time I get through to Laura. I explain the situation and she offers to pass me onto Scott (as he is dealing with the issue), great I think. I hold and hold until Laura comes back on the line, Scott is on his annual leave, he will not be back into the office for two weeks. Time to hit the wall!
So to cut a long story short I finally was passed to the elusive William. Suffice to say I was spun a similar story by William and he promised to call back, but no call, no phone, no internet. Just a pack of lies and broken promises.
It’s now two weeks since we were cut off and I cannot for the life of me get back in touch with the order management team in the UK, the people who should be able to actually do something. It’s an absolute disgrace that BT cannot resolve this problem in a timely fashion, I mean it’s not our fault, it’s theirs. My Partner is supposed to be working from home and she can’t. This is causing me a massive amount of stress, I just want it fixed!
Anyhow, maybe somebody is listening, probably not. But it makes me feel better to have a little rant.
HOW HARD CAN IT BE BT? YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO THE UK!

P.S. No I don't want to email you back and explain my problem to yet another incompetent BT minion. I want somebody to call me personally on my number (it’s on your file) and sort the stupid thing out now! And Yes I will be reporting the issue to the regulator.

Audio cutting off at the end of audio clips w no change in waveform?

Audio cuts off right at the end of some of my clips... I can still see the waveforms that have the full audio on them, but no audio plays for those last two or three seconds! My audio level is the same throughout the clip, so its not like its fading out or anything. This has been happeneing for a few weeks now, in multiple seperate projects.

Thanks for the response. I did look at the song that got cut off and it's a .m4a file. However, I also have normal audio that comes from an external Zoom recorder in .wav format that is getting cut off in the same way. The strange thing is I've never had a problem with this before a couple weeks ago. I've used this same song before and my external audio is always in .wav format

Why are some songs cut off early?

I just transferred my iTunes library from my old macbook (where it was working fine) to my new macbook pro. I notice many songs cut off before finishing, usually all the songs from a same album. I downloaded my past purchases from icloud and still happens. My ipod, which I now synced with my new macbook is (obviously) doing the same. Anyone have any bright ideas to resolve this? I guess Apple is too busy counting all the money from us suckers who have bought their hardware and/or paid for music downloads from iTunes to take care of this.

I am having the same problem. I moved my files from an old Windows XP machine to a new Windows 7 machine. I put them in the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder thinking they would all be added to my library and work just fine. Now I noticed that all songs for the same Artist get cut off at the same point in time. For one artist, it was 2:25. Any song shorter than that worked fine. Any song longer got cut off. For another artist, it was 2:17. It seems to be more with songs I downloaded from iTunes. Songs that came from CDs that I own and imported seem to be fine but I haven't checked every song. Any help Apple?

Exporting cuts off last two frames of project

For the last while now, Premiere CS6 and Media Encoder continue to cut off the last two frames of any project I export. It doesn't matter what export formats I choose, it always happens. My short term solution has been to extend the project by two frames but sometimes that doesn't even work. Anyone else have this issue? It's really becoming a bother. And yes, I've checked to make sure the entire project is selected in the export and media encoder windows.

If you have video 1440 x 1080 HD anamorphic 16:9, then the project preset should be (assuming NTSC setup)
NTSC
AVCHD
HD1080i30
Now, when you go to export your edited Timeline content, if we go for a H.264.mov export
Share/Computer/QuickTime with Presets = NTSC DV 16:9
Click on the Advanced Button there.
Under the Advanced Button/Video Tab, set according to the screenshot for Video Tab....
Some of the export settings in the screenshot got cut off in the screen capture. The essential ones are the ones you see (for now).
The BItrate which is further down (not seen here) is left with no check mark before "Limit Data Rate To...". We will work on that later if file size becoms an issue. The main purpose of the above is to see if we can get a good video just with attention to project setup and export settings.
We will be watching for your results.

Premiere elements 9 exporting cuts off certain scenes

Whenever I export a video from premeiere elements 9, any scene in which I used a green screen key gets messed up and cut of at the bottom. I have a project due in a day. How can I fix this?
