Acrobat 9.5.1 suite activation error

Get a message saying Suite Product Activation Needed suddenly when opening Acrobat 9.5.1 on Mac running 10.7.3. New problem - has been working fine. Restart or opening another app in suite (CS5) does nothing. Can't find solution. Acrobat quits when I click OK in the message - opening other app does not help.
All sugggestions welcome. Thanks!

Acrobat 9 should not have installed anything within Word 97: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html.  You may want to check Tools > Macros to see if there's anything installed into that version of Word.

  • Acrobat Suite Product Activation Error Message

I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 and updated Acrobat Pro to 9.5.1. All of the sudden (not anywhere near the time that I updated) I started getting the "Acrobat Suite Product Activation Error Message". Then it closes and quits.
Launching Photoshop (or having it open) does nothing. The other similar forum discussions seem to concern Lion, which I don't have yet. Solutions?

The Acrobat X Suite has Acrobat X not Acrobat 9 Pro.  So it begs the question do you have Acrobat 9 Pro Extended?

Douvaine, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader are 2 different applications. In which application are your getting this error 93:8?
93:8 denotes that your serial number is invalid. Please type the serial key again and check.
Else, give us more details about your issue like your OS, exact error message, application name and version, etc.

I have tried to install suite 5.5 but get an activation error coming up?

It is possible depending on the licensing agreement our Sales team may generate expiring serial numbers.  This can be done for trade demos and I have also seen this occur with educational licenses.  As KGlad mentioned please contact our support team and they can verify if the serial number is expired or not.
You may also want to contact the administrators of your Adobe Creative software licenses to see if they have a new serial number for you to utilize.

  • Trouble Installing Acrobat 9 Professional - Creative Suite 4

I bought a newer HP laptop months ago and loaded all the other components of Creative Suite 4 Design Premium -- Win 7  64 bit - with no issues.
I then tried to install Acrobat 9 Professional and keep getting error messages saying that one or more components dd not load correctly.
My antivirus was turned off and I rebooted after the first failed attempt. The 2nd attempt had the same results.
I've seen others with the same issue while trying to load Acrobat 9 Prof.
What is the "fix" to get this on my new laptop?
    Thanks

  • Adobe DRM Activator error (server code 24)

I updated to the most recent version of digital editions, but uninstalled it due to the fact that it does not support Palm.
I reinstalled the old version of Adobe Reader 7.0. All of my ebooks show up, but when I try to transfer my ebooks to my Palm I receive an error message stating:
Your Adobe software cannot be activated.

Eden Info: (0x18) A bad session ID was used in the header.
Soap Info: Client: A A bad session ID was used in the header.
Adobe DRM Activator error (server code 24).

    Contact customer support.
The knowledge base states that Adobe is aware of this issue and I have to contact support.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the program a couple of times but I had the same error message.
I have open two open web cases (#0180655783 on 1/8/09 and #0201592044 on 12/22/09). They both state: "open pending response from Adobe", but I can't get a response (although my case do note that they have been updated???).
When I contacted Adobe via phone they informed me that I could only get assistance by opening a web case. I was assured that I would get a response within 24 Hours! What a bunch of crap!
I really have to have access to my ebooks. I have quite a lot of money invested in books that I cannot access. Some of them I need
    for school.
    Please HELP!

well I'm guessing this isn't a question about Adobe Digital Editions 1.5.. I'm guessing your using some older version of Acrobat Reader, yes?
Please post your ebook reader version, and also do you happen to have a Palm device?

  • CS6 Activation error -- HELP!

I purchased CS 6 a month ago.  Today the Acrobat Pro X stopped working.  It says activation error.  I followed the directions, went to Adobe website, entered the one code provided with my CS6, and it says it is already activated and can't be activated again.
Ok, so I'm between a rock and a hard place.
What to do?  The wait time on the telephone is between 1-2 HOURS, the chat is unavailable, and there is nothing in the Forum that is helpful.
    What do I do?
    Thank you,
    Joyce

It happened again.  This is the fifth time.
    Windows 7
    CS6
every few months it loses the ability to print anything to pdf, says the system is not activated.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and followed all the (partial) instructions provided on the Support website, all to no avail.
Four days ago I spent an hour and a half on the phone with Adobe support and he assured me it was fixed.
Today it will not print to pdf, says now that the printer is not properly defined on my system.  None of the CX6 components will print to pdf, and the pdf "printer" itself is not define.
I have been on hold for more than an hour.  I don't know whether to give up and try another line (and lose my place in line if this is still alive), or just reinstall AGAIN!
The last time this happened (April 10) I was about to go to England.  So I uninstalled and reinstalled and left it as a free trial for 30 days.  I worked just great as a free trial.  Only now that I have refreshed the activation it is blocking me from completing my work AGAIN, and right before the weekend.  Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
If you have any suggestions, I am more than heppy to hear them.
    Best wishes,
    Joyce

  • After Acrobat 10.1.8 update, Distiller error

I recently pushed via AutoIT script the Acrobat 10.1.8 Pro update only to users who already had Acrobat X installed (a small test group in IT before deploying to almost 300). After the update ran, all of them got an error message. Title bar: Acrobat Distiller, Message: Error initializing interpreter: Fatal error, with OK and X the only options. They were able to open Acrobat X Pro successfully after this and the update had been applied. I need to get this error resolved before deploying the the rest of the users.
We're on Windows 7 Pro SP1. We did recently upgrade to Adobe Reader 11.0.05, though I'm not sure if these folks have both installed. I always recommend to remove Reader before installing Acrobat Pro.

    Hello,
what concerns your wish about an uinstaller, so you should use
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs3-product-downloads.html >>> AND note this "Read before you download a CS3 product". And esp, "You need your CS3 serial number to complete the installation" but this shouldn't be a problem for you, because you had an official version and so you can use all these informations like https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html
