Acrobat 9 Killed Acrobat 8 and cannot go back to 8 even if uninstalled is done, Got 8 back on but the updates for Acrobat will not install. The other CS3 products work fine, they have applied their update but Acrobat keeps failing. The message in my Windows event viewer is "Product: Adobe Acrobat and Reader 8.1.2 Security Update 1 (KB403742) -- No qualifying products found to apply this update" but the base 8.0 pro is installed.
Manually downloaded the updates for acrobat then patcher basically gives me the same error...
Is there a registry key that can be modified or remove to allow the updates. I have Acrobat 8.0 as part of CS3 but i'm seeing a separate copy of 8.1.2 pro in my Installed programs list!! I never had the chance of installing any updates let alone 8.1.2 pro standalone.
Plus my system was working until that very last security update came out for acrobat pro.

Remove 9 and if you have the disks try uninstalling 8. If not use the
CS3 CleanScript.

YOu need to be clear about the products you are using, so we can help you. In particular there is no trial of Adobe Reader, it is free and keeps running. Sounds like you are using some versions of Acrobat - which?
YOu must properly uninstall the trial, don't just delete files or you may get a mess impossible to recover.

To resolve your issue with Facetime freezing when you end a call, I would try the first three steps in the article below.

If you have a credit card on your account then it will need to be valid and accepted by the store, if not then you won't be able to download anything until you have valie payment details.
If it's a credit card (i don't think that debit cards are still accepted) then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

My screen on my iPhone 4s is gone blank and wont turn back on. Even when i reset the phone it is just blank. I know the phone is on because when i change the switch on the side it vibrates.

Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.

The only thing I have selected, at this point, to be backed up are my contacts and the Find My iPhone app. Why does it always say I have no icloud storage available when I have ALL of the icloud storage available?!

It says that my next backup size is 7.3 GB, but I have no idea why, because the only thing selected is the Find iPhone app, which takes up 0.2 KB...How do I get rid of whatever it THINKS it's backing up?

Mailto links open google (desired) but load in current tab, moving away from website, and cannot hit "back" button to return.

I have firefox set to open "mailto" links, which is desired. However, when clicking the link, the gmail compose window opens in the current tab/window, and therefore leaves the website. Most of the time, the "back" button is not active, so I cannot get back to the website. The back button issue does not happen 100% for some reason.
To further explain, this is a website I am creating, so I am not sure if the fault lies with my code or in the google mailto option in firefox. (Code shown below)

Computer does not recognise Adobe Acrobat/Distiller and cannot Pdf

I recently installed a new version of Adobe creative suite 4, just as an unregistered trial, but I found that my computer could not handle the programs, and began to crash any time I attempted to create a pdf.
So I uninstalled just the Acrobat part of the package, hoping that I would still be able to use my old Adobe 5 to Pdf from Autodesk CAD.
However now that I have uninstalled, I still cannot Pdf. And moreover, my computer no longer automatically recognises Adobe 5 as the default program for opening Pdf's, it makes me select the program from a list.
Is there any way to fix this? Would uninstalling and reinstalling help? Pdfing from CAD is essential to my work.

The simplest way is to just do a repair (Control Panel>Add Remove Programs ...). For AA5, it will likely show up at change and remove. Select the change and you should be able to fix things. If that does not work, then uninstall, remove the Acrobat 5 folder, and use the MS Cleanup Tool. Then reboot and install. Acrobat and Reader are such that if you install more than one version, uninstalling any will most likely break all others -- exactly your problem. The association problem can be fixed with Windows explorer, but other things may also be broken that make a repair or reinstall a good idea.
