Acrobat 9 pro installation

After installing Acrobat 9 pro (on mac osx), when I try to launch the program, I get the message "an internal error has occurred."  I have tried shutting down all applications including firewall before installation. I have no other versions of acrobat or reader running. I have deleted preference files. Nothingseems to work. Had anyone had this problem and solved it?

What OSX version do you have?
Acrobat 9 only works on OSX.4.11 and above.
First, use Disk Utility to fix Premissions, and try.
If you have  OSX.4.11, Use the un installer Program to uninstall.
Then locate all Acrobat Components not removed by the uninstaller and place in Trash and empty.
(includes plist files, files in  Applications support directory and so on.)
Leave any Acrobat (PDF files) alone.
Now reinstall and try.

  • Trouble with Adobe Acrobat Pro installation from Creative Cloud

When I attempt to install Adobe Acrobat Pro from Creative Cloud, it will always fail on the first attemp. If I retry, it installs it. Then, when I open a pdf document, the application quits in seconds. I get a modal window with the license agreement. However, it is blank and the pull downs are empty. I hit a dead end.
This is so aggravating; especially when Adobe is charging me for my membership every month.
What gives? Can someone help with this?
    Brian

Brian which operating system are you using?  Do you receive any specific errors during the installation process?  If you are using a Windows operating system then please uninstall Acrobat using the Programs and Features control panel.  Once done then please try using the Acrobat Cleaner Tool available at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.
Also you mentioned that the EULA window is blank you may also want to see Blank EULA screen appears on Acrobat XI launch - http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/blank-eula-screen-appears-acrobat.html.  Solution 2 is not likely to be relevant unless you are using an operating system not currently supported by the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • Help, my Adobe Acrobat Pro installation stops!

I have created a package with "Creative cloud packager" with Adobe Acrobat Pro inside.
Once I download it and run the installation, after some minutes the progress bar stops and go back to the beginning, and nothing is installed.
Do you know what can be failing?
    Thanks!

    Hey Amit,
Are you facing any specific error message with this installation?
Try downloading the installer package from this link ( Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X ) and then try installing the software.
    Hope that helps you!!

  • Acrobat Pro "installs" but is nowhere to be found

I have had lots of trouble installing Acrobat Pro through Creative Cloud. I click the install button and the percentage goes all the way through to 100%. Creative Cloud indicates that it's "Up to date" but it's not in Applications folder and can't be launched using Alfred - it's simply not there. I have tried various things including the Cleaner tool. I have tried installing again but get the same result. What do I need to do to get it installed? I have tried downloading the trial installer but for some reason the Download Manager doesn't launch. I am contemplating wiping all the Adobe stuff off my system and starting again. Any advice?
    I'm running OSX 10.8.5.

    Hi jrmyprtr,
Could you please create a new Admin Account and try installing Acrobat XI pro through Creative Cloud Desktop app.
Please let us know if it helps.

What is Error 213:19 and how do I fix it?  I receive the message after an apparently successful download of my subscription to Acrobat Pro tonight and after I sign on to Adobe.com.  The verbiage refers to "there was a problem licensing the product.  Please restart your computer and relaunch the product."  I have done this several times and still the same message.  Chat support is closed.

  • Acrobat Pro Installation on Mac

I have Yosemite 10.10.2. I am having trouble downloading the Acrobat Pro XI.
I downloaded Indesign and Photoshop with no problem
When it starts to download for acrobat it pauses at 42% a window pops up and says to close SafariNotifici and retry. I have closed all my windows and Safari is not running and I can't get Acrobat to install. It basically stalls at 42%. I tried restarting and make sure to close all programs but, I get the same thing. Does anyone have a solution.
I am new to Mac computers so if anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi evilomens7,
Could you please provide a screenshot so that i can look into this issue. Moreover I would recommend you to open Activity Monitor on your Mac and close any instances of Safari that might be open and then try again.

  • Problem installing Acrobat pro - installs with Slovak as language

    Hello,
I have tried this twice with the same result:
I downloaded the Adobe Download Assistant and used it to download Acrobat XI Pro. When I finished downloading the Acrobat installation file, I started it and it popped up in Slovak as the language.  I selected English instead from the pull-down language menu on the first installation screen, but nothing changed, and if I continued the installation, it was in Slovak.  I tried changing the language once the program was fully installed and it was partially successful - when I opened the program it was in English, but pop up windows keep coming up (I think asking me to register or submit a serial number) and they are still in Slovak.  I used an online translator to get even that far!  I am running Windows 7.  Let me know if any other information would be useful.
    Thanks.

I have had the same problem today 3/25/2014. Any insight on what I can do to correct the issue?

  • IE8 tries to open PDF in Acrobat Reader instead of Acrobat Pro

I installed Acrobat Pro and uninstalled Acrobat Reader (in XP). Unfortunately IE8 continues to try to open web links to pdf files using Acrobat Reader, even though Reader has been uninstalled. XP correctly associates pdf files on my computer with Acrobat Pro. I've tried repairing my Acrobat Pro installation, but the behavior remains. Anyone know how I can get IE8 to use Acrobat Pro for pdfs?

You could check the registry key mentioned in my last posting in this discussion:

If the Reader executable is missing, You can manually change to "C:\Programs\Adobe\Acrobat #.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe" or what is the correct path on Your pc.

  • InstallShield 7 with Acrobat Pro 7 Issue

I am trying to setup a custom installation for Acrobat 7 Pro with InstallShield Tuner 7. Although I have created an MST file with changes from the standard installation, not all changes are sticking. For example, the package I have created successfully contains the serial number I have entered when I run it. However, I also unchecked the option to cache the files on the local computer, but when I run the install the box remains checked. This is just one example of many.
Any ideas what might be causing the issue?

I am currently using 'msiexec /i AcroPro.msi TRANSFORMS=AcroPro.mst /qb' in a batch file to run the Acrobat 7.0 Pro setup.
I'd like to add the 7.0.5 update to this installation (and make it so there is no user interaction) so that it runs after Acrobat Pro has been installed. Is there a way that I can add it to this command line? If so, how would the command look?
Or, are there other ways of doing this? I'm having trouble getting the update to run with the Acrobat Pro installation.

  • Acrobat XI Pro installation failed

    MacBook Pro 13" Retina
    OSX 10.8.5
    3 GHz Intel Core i7
    8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Used Akamai NetSession Interface.
Downloaded from Adobe website. After download, clicked on installer, entered serial number, quickly went through installing until right at the end: "THE INSTALLATION FAILED: Installer encountered an error that caused installation to fail. Contact manufacturer." Part of the message cut-off abruptly.
Then, it appeared that the installation did occur but when I opened the software the interface didn't look "smooth." Then almost immediately software update stated Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.04 was available for download, but computer wouldn't allow it to be installed citing error on initial problem. I uninstalled XI Pro and tried to download again from Adobe website but the window instantly opened for Akamai and said download complete. The same problem occured when I tried to install again, with the same error message.

    Thank you Anish.
The software now appears to be working for some reason, and even though Error 1301 appeared when trying to update to Acrobat 11.0.04, it shows that I am running 11.0.04. There is something going on in there but so far so good.

  • Acrobat Pro XI fails installation on Mac Pro with Mavericks 10.9.3

I've downloaded the Acrobat Pro XI Trial installation package twice. Each time I run the installer it fails. As the installer proceeds I see the following messages:

    Hello,
The logs suggests that the Acrobat Licensing component is not able to install properly.
    Please try following steps:
    1. Go to www.adobe.com
    2. Log-in with your Adobe ID and Password.
    3. From left panel - choose 'Desktop' under 'Apps'
    4. Navigate to Acrobat XI Professional and download trail.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 - I have serial #, lost installation cd, cannot find downloadable files.

I have a license for Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, however, I've lost my installation disc. I was able to download files from Abobe, but when I entered my serial number from my account, it says invalid. I noticed it may be because it says it is the 9 Pro Extended version.
Is this why my serial number is not valid and if so, where can I get the files I need for version 9?
    Thank you!

The only public download is for 9 Pro, not Extended. If you are talking about the latter you will have to see if one of the staff will provide the link to you. If you are looking for Pro, it is at http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html.
